I recently ordered a playhouse for my son's 3rd birthday. It was given a 21day delivery so would come in plenty of time. However after a few weeks i rang to see when it would be delivered and was told to expect a call within 48hours. After 48hrs and no phone call i called them again. They apologised and told me they would chse up the supplier agin and i would get a call back in 48hrs. 48hrs later still no call. I called back and was given a £10 gift voucher. I said i did not want a voucher, i wanted the product i had ordered. They said they would chase it up again and i would be clled back in 48hours. The next day i got a call saying the item would be delivered on thursday. At 7pm on thursday still no playhouse. I then spoke to a manager at customer services who was very patronising and rude. He said there was nothing he could do till midday the next day. I called back first thing the next day to speak to someone else. I was again put onto another manager who was equally as rude. She called the supplier and told me i would not recieve a call till next tuesday as it was a bank holiday. She aid i had been given good service and they were very happy with the current supplier. She also said i was in the minority of people who complain! I ended up cancelling the order and was promised a refund ASAP. After discussion with them today they are now saying they will not issue a refund till the supplier (who is shut till tuesday) confirms the cancellation. I paid Argos, not the supplier! A total disgrace. My son now has no playhouse for his birthday and we have no refund to get him a replacement present! Will not ever use argos again!
