Order online and go and collect-brilliant. Either pay online or when you ghetto store. I like the fact when you type in code it's up to date how many they have and where is the mos local store to you. Great store
like the fact that you can ring & reserve and search local stores for stock wide variety of goods easy to use on line and in store
Here is my experience of an Argos delivery. I was so incensed that i wrote it all down so i wouldnt forget in future!
I think Argos is fine if you can get the goods instore. BUT i wanted a TV and it was deliver only [for which they charge] so i waited in ALL day on the designated day. The weather was bad admittedly but they just didnt turn up and never rang to say they werent coming so i waited in all day for nothing! They rang that evening AFTER the designated delivery time to give me a new delivery date, two days later. I waited in AGAIN. No delivery, no phone call either this time! I rang them the next morning and was told there was a problem with a backlog of deliveries and someone would call me later that week on the Saturday morning. They never rang! I rang Saturday evening and was told someone would ring me Sunday morning. Guess what? They never rang! Sunday evening i rang again and was told someone in dispatch would DEFINITELY ring me Monday or Tuesday with a delivery date. By Tuesday afternoon i had received no phone call, and by this time with my phone bill getting bigger and my patience getting shorter and my temper likely to explode at any moment i went into the local Argos store to complain to the duty manager. He rang on my behalf and was told that my order was in the system 'pending' and i was asked to be patient as there was a backlog of deliveries. I emailed the head office in Milton Keynes as i was annoyed i had taken an extra day off work, i had expenses in phone calls, and expenses in motoring costs going to the store. I was offered my phone calls would be re-inbursed if i produced evidence. This meant i would have to photocopy my phone bill and post it off to them. More expense! I didnt bother! Nothing for my inconvenience or nothing for my extra day off work! NOTHING! I remain TOTALLY UNHAPPY AT THE WAY I WAS TREATED and i havent bought from Argos since! Im a tiny little fish in a huge ocean, and Argos wont be bothered one little bit that they have lost one customer, BUT this one little fish would like EVERYONE else in that big ocean to know how they treat customers who have to wait for deliveries once theyve taken their money! SHAME ON YOU

Love the click and collect, dont have to wait in the queues to pay. They send you a text to remind you to collect it...love love love it!
Oh yeah, the range of goods is good too
Ioften use argos but always browse online first then order and reserve my items to pick up instore. This cuts out all the unnecessary looking in catalogue in store.
i love this online site ,i can find out what store my item is in ,get home delivery ,etc .with 4 small children this comes in handy
You guys are convinient and offer a wide range of products... love the reserve and collect feature and the store opening hours til 8pm. I can go in and collect what I need after work
worked for them for 4 months... for them to sack me!! (including 43 people that year)
when i was employed i worked 3 hours a week max!! and payed £5.50
which me and many people think was stupid!
now i work for sainsbury's... which pays me £6.30 an hour, and i work 12 hours a week, they are the most flexible employer i have ever had. i could get a day covered two days from now and its okay, or do over time whenever i want!! :D so all in all... look for somewhere else than here

Always have what I need. Easy to order and resrve and nice to know I can return things to my local store. Always loads of stock too.
We use argos regularly and are more than satisfied with their srvice and array of bargain goods
Have used Argos several times using the buy on line and collect at store facility. Have always been satisfied and the items ordered have always been there waiting.
Best ever because if you don't like the item, you are free to return it. They also offer good value for money.
customer service is excellent. the workers there are very helpful and the service provided is awesome. if there is a problem with the product they immediately change it or refund it. The argos card is a great way for buyers to purchase things when they dont have the cash! card holders are also given vouchers. We are loyal customers!!
and you will be O.K. Some of the unbranded materials seem a bit "iffy"
Prices very competitive - shame about all the forests they destroy for their far too big catalogue though
Argos is ok but sometimes you need to be able to see the things your buying especially furniture items.
Over the recent months I have started to see the customer services slip in my local stores; not to mention that the prices are creeping up and are become less competitive with other out lets. Because of this it means I have been looking elsewhere for my items and to be honest finding them cheaper and with better customer service.
I am just generally un-happy with the overall service and value I now get from Argos.
Limited product information is made available and the search functions are basic. Compared to other sites the visual look and feel is poor and I only use it to compare prices of specific items and would never use it to browse or product information. Customer reviews are supplied in numbers which is possibly the best feature to be honest
Really good bargains to find in this store. I picked up a I POD touch for only £49.43. Amazing !!
Not the pretty of places but at least you know what you get with them and I have always had a consistent experience with all their stores I have visited over the years.
Fast, efficient and handle the busy Christmas times well. I will always use as I feel I know them well and know what I'll get from them
NO NEED TO GO SHOPPING IT COMES TO YOU EASY RETURN IF NOT COMPLETELY HAPPY WITH ITEMS OR COLLECT THE Same day if in a hurry no wasted journey check stock make sure before you leave home
I wanted a number of raffle prizes for christmas party .. They where great .. and they arrived very quick..... well done.
I like Argos you know exactly what you are getting but could do with speeding up a bit in store.

I rarely use Argos, because I can always find things cheaper elsewhere.
When I do it's normally an emergency, and I always hate the queues - That said they normally have what I want and the prices aren't absolutely crazy - so I can't complain.
To me they are like a convenience store for bigger or usual everyday things.
Shame about the poor dated website. Searching for items is a chore. I like the reviews feature but not the navigation or presentation of the items. Way past time for an overhaul. They must be aware of that by now (mid 2012)?
do you nip next door to john lewis when we order something you seem to take an age to get the stuff maybe this is the secret of argos
I admit I was an Argos fan in the past but in recent years the group have become easier to buy from but provide no value.
Items are priced too expensive compared to online sellers and the Argos Outlet on Ebay is much better than Argos.co.uk
I have had many excellent experiences with purchases from Argos with complicated items and deliveries. I have never experienced any problems with them at all. The website is excellent with stock checking, reserve item, delivery options. A pleasure to buy from.
