I was surprised to see negative reviews of ark as I have used their website a few times now and always had a positive experience.
Nice own brand products on women's, and cheap vintage too, I got my order within two days. I returned one item to store for free to get a refund as it didn't suit me, staff were nice and got the money back pretty fast too.
Maybe they've had problems in the past but the new websites looking good and I can't fault them on service. I'd use them again.
Always very helpful! I have had a few problems, stock issues on the website, so they don't have the right stock I ordered and some faulty items. But Ark have always been very amenable and lets me know ASAP, sorted it out and any returns have been processed quickly and my postage refunded. I think everything is very reasonably priced the clothing is good quality! One of my favourite shops online, for dresses to vintage jumpers, they're perfect!
Was thrilled with my items I purchased in feb/ march again recieved excellent customer service.
Was watching a skirt I wanted in the sale ( feb/march time) but none left in my size was gutted however recently checked again + more sizes were back in stock which made me so happy! And led to purchase this skirt and another pretty one from the sale.
Sale prices were very reasonable for my skirts and I got free delievery with a discount code so was more than happy!! :)
Just as they say I recieved a text message and email telling me my order had been despatched :)
Items were safely wrapped and beautifully packaged in coloured wrapping.

Discount stated on facebook wall applied to order and then charged full amount,!! Posted about code not working on their facebook wall, they removed comment didn't respond or bother to help (as expected) also removed my posting rights as they appear to not like anything slightly negative, will never use again online or instore.
I have placed several orders with this company over the past year, ALL have been terrible, items not shipped within time frames, items not in stock even paid for 24 hour delivery and 4 days later they still haven't shipped an order and ring to tell me an item is not in stock so they haven't shipped my order and then almost demanding I choose another item before they will ship the order AND then still expect me to pay the additional p+p for next day shipping! Latest order they promised discount which was applied on checkout but then on the confirmation and card they charged full amount! Posted a non-abusive query on their facebook walls for them to remove it and block my posting rights on their facebook wall.
NO respect for their customers and refuse any sort of customer service, they are not even able to take telephone calls on a Saturday!

Update well the Director who stated he would happily investigate any issues couldn't even be bothered to respond, so that about sums up this company. POOR.
I love Ark clothing stores, as all their clothes are lovely, great quality and even better price. I especially like ‘Hearts & Bows’ range.
I’m new to internet shopping, I used ark.co.uk on Monday and my order was with me Tuesday afternoon! I was very impressed as it was free delivery too! Fab. I will definitely be using it lots more in the future.
Ordered late on Boxing Day evening (Wednesday) and my order was delivered Saturday. I was worried after reading the reviews on here but liked the clothing so took a risk.. I emailed ARK Friday afternoon explaining that I needed delivery by Wednesday as It was a birthday present. I had an immediate response and ARK sent my parcel "Special Delivery" at no extra cost. Outstanding customer service., I will certianly shop here in the future.
because of the many negativ reviews i read here (after having placed my order..) I got a little nervous. BUT everything went fine just as expected. I ordered a jacket on friday night and it arrived on my doorstep IN GERMANY on wednesday! Also i mailed the customer service on monday and got back a reply in approx. 30 min! so if there was something wrong with ark it was clearly temporary and now its a great fashion dealer with great services and great prices (thank you ark for the -20% discount code ;) )
also, dont trust the fedex tracking service (at least for international orders) on the day of arrival it still told me the package has to be picked up or send to fedex by the retailer....
Shopped here one time earlier in the year. Absolute p*ss poor service. No response to emails. Just took the money and sat on it without letting me know whether the jacket was in stock or not. Says things are in stock but actually aren't. Waited ages for my Carhartt jacket and eventually had to open a dispute on paypal to get my money back. Rubbish service. One of the worst out there.
I've bought from Ark for ages but the last 2 times I have ordered online I have been sent the wrong items. Returned the first order to my local store who were very helpful and exchanged it for the correct item but it's really irritating to have been sent the wrong thing again, especially as the only reason for ordering online is because it's not in my local store (who are lovely!)!
Maybe there shouldn't be 2 different jumpers called exactly the same thing on the website....?
Sort it out ARK.... I love your clothes but I'm thinking twice about buying online again this is becoming really annoying!

Have made 3 order from Ark Clothing in the last week. Each one was delivered virtually next day, the quality and price of the clothes were exceptional also. I have to say, I have shopped online for years, and Ark Clothing has to be the first online service I have written a review for.
Overall the speed, quality and price of my orders was exceptional and I will certainly be using them again, and urging friends and family to also!

I made a purchase from Arkclothing which unfortunately developed a fault (nothing to do with them). I contacted them to arrange a return for refund. This was handled impeccably by their customer services team. An RMA number was obtained, I returned the item, a full refund was granted within hours of them receiving the item back and they also refunded the return postage.
Faults can happen with merchandise. A measure of a good internet shop is how it deals with such issues. I would wholeheartedly recommend Ark Clothing's customer services.
Bought a Superdry jacket for my son who was very particular about the colour and style he wanted. Staff were extremely helpful checking with the other stores and head office to find out which colours were available. Will definitely shop there again and recommend to friends.
I was a bit dubious to order from the Ark online shop after reading the bad reviews, especially because I wanted to order a dress in time for my birthday.
However I took the chance because I loved the dress and it had sold out in my size in Bank.
Ordered on the Sunday, it arrived on the Wednesday, very prompt delivery and the dress is beautiful.

I ordered a Superdry scarf in Dec last year. Not only did it never arrive and according to the Royal Mail website is still Due to be posted on Dec 31st 2011, I suspect it never will be!
They never replied to my emails and like many other people have found they never answer their phone and the voicemail is Always too full to leave a message.
I am now having to claim the money back from my credit card since ark has taken no responsibility even though they were quick enough to take the money!!
Shocking - avoid and save yourself the hassle.
I bought a superdry jumper, a few weeks ago from the manchester store but no longer have the receipt. All i want to do is swap it for a bigger size. The staff in the store said there nothing they can do with out prove of purchase. was wondering if there was any way of exchanging this product.
Have been ordering from Ark for nearly 2 years now after discovering them when they had Superdry stuff in stock that were sold out everywhere else.
Have always received goods quickly & returns are no problems.
I know there were technical issues in the recent sale, as customer services emailed me to tell me this & therefore a couple of my ordered items were out of stock & delivery took longer than usual
If this glitch has made people rush to leave negative feedback, then it is a shame as is not a true reflection of how Ark do things - a wardrobe full of their stuff from the last 2 years is the proof.
Although ARK experienced some server downtime, I had placed an order where an item was out of stock, and I was not informed until arrival of the order with items missing (out of stock). ARK could have contacted me prior to dispatch to inform me of the availability or offer alternative products. However, I was very happy with the item I received. As I needed a new jacket I returned to the website and ordered 2 Superdry jackets for £140. This is a spectacular price and one that even Superdry would struggle to compete with - Great prices, great stuff!
Firstly I am really shocked at some of the reviews i have read. I am a new customer to Ark but can honestly say I will definatley be buying more from them. I ordered my first item Just before xmas and was pleased it was free delivery, I expected a delay on the arrival of this item due to the time of year however I was pleasently surprised when it atrrived 48 hrs later. The item was lovely and fantastic value for money. Since that purchase I have had a few other things from ARK and can honestly say I have no complaints the clothes are of fantasic value , look great on, the sizes are accurate and as awell as the speedy delivery service the delivery is free. No complaints at all and will definatly be purchasing more, and recomending to others
I honestly cannot understand the poor reviews for Ark clothing on this site. I have ordered twice from here, once just after Christmas and latterly on Monday of this week. Both times the order has been received, beautifully packaged, in a couple of days. I was advised this Tuesday by e mail my order had been shipped and today I received the parcel. I just wanted to put this on here, as to be honest, after reading all the negative reviews, I almost didn't place my order. Do not be put off - this company, in my experience, couldn't be better.
After reading some of the reviews i am shocked as i have placed many orders with Ark and found them to be very efficient.
I have only had one issue with this company and that was that the item did not fit but had no problems in returning the item and receiving a new one within a reasonable time scale.
I will continue to shop with Ark as find there clothes excellent quality and reasonable priced.
I place an order on the 26th and nothing! No responce form my emails and nothing from ringing them, I just want to cancel my order but I cant find a way to do that. Will never do business with them again, its a poor way to treat customers! Especially in this current economic climate
Have shopped in the stores before and really liked the brand.
Order was placed, money taken and then nothing. I tried calling - no answer, no voicemail space (like many other people). I emailed - no reply.
At my wits end I rang a store and asked them to contact the head office for me, was told I'd get a call back - never did.
Today I have recieved a refund. No other contact other than paypal telling me the money was refunded. I'm really angry as I don't have my item and I've wasted time chasing them around only to be ignored!! I won't be shopping with them again - not even in their high street stores. Shocking way to do business.
I really wish I had read these reviews before placing my order! I have used Ark a few years ago and was happy with everything. But this time I placed an order that never came, when I log into my account it says "processing" so it's not even been shipped. I've e-mailed them with no reply. Have phoned several times and can't get though to anyone. It seems like they're going bump so I'm going to get money back through my credit card, what a total waste of time! Oh and I only placed mu order in Jan so the christmas rush can't be to blame!

Got an email to say my order could be picked u in store, turned up and VERY embarrassingly the girl behind the counter said she had the item but had been asked by the online team to return this???? I have no idea why.
I do not know what to do....after numerous emails and phone calls i have now found who the director of RETT Retail Limited who run ark and as this is a limited company I have found their home address online and have written them a letter. i might get a reply in 10 years time!!
Rubbish and DO NOT SHOP ONLINE during a busy sale period, they will mess you about.
I placed an order on 29th Dec.. Initially I had a problem with citi link as I tracked the item and the status was saying card left but I found nothing. Citi link said they tried to deliver it 3 times. They hadn't as I had not received anything. I continued to track and discovered 2 weeks ago the item had been sent back to the original sender. So I called Ark up and spoke to someone who advised he could see it being sent back and would send it out by Royal Mail the next day. 2 weeks later.. Nothing
I did give them the benefit of the doubt to start with and thought it was citi link who messed up. But I started to follow the comments on Facebook and the number of complaints were building. However yesterday I went to have a look and a number of comments were deleted. It was as if they couldn't handle the negative comments.
I looked again today and the whole page has now been deleted.
I paid by Paypal so have just put a dispute in to get a refund. Unfortunately I can see Ark going under. It's a shame as their clothes were good and I had bought from them in the past with no issues.
I gave them 2 weeks to redeem themselves but looks like they haven't been able to sort out this mess.
Sorry Ark.. But wouldn't be surprised if you go into administration.

I ordered 3 items on Thursday they all arrived Friday. Came on to write a revue and am suprised by the comments. Looked up other online retailers, they all have bad comments too. I presume it's a christmas thing ! Can only rate them on my experience.
I have been waiting for an order since the beginning of January, they have messed me about so much giving my complaint to different people telling me to call different numbers.
However it would seem I am not the only one suffering as there are many people in my situation on their facebook page which in turn they keep deleting due to the amount of complaints or deleting the complaints as if nothing had happened.
Working in retail and having my own small business I know how wrong this is and personally would never dream of letting this happen to my online shop!!
Honestly would never recommend them to anyone especially after them not apologising but making excuses all the way through it.
First of all, i ordered my order the 27th of january to ensure i got the pick of the sales and i was told my order was dispatched on 6th january. Today, i have not recieved a parcel or phone call to say whats happened. I have called numerous times with a "full recording inbox" replied to me and ignored emails from the company email, "Tom" as you can see below and another personal email i had found online.
Although today i called a store instead of the head office and finally i got a reply. I asked about my order and i have been told they will contact me tomorrow and if they do not i will keep calling until i get my money or order otherwise i will contact trading standards.
I urge all of you reading this to call up a STORE instead of head office anywhere in the uk and ask about your order or for somebody to get back to you about it because they do generally answer and will reassure you.
I would give 1 star but the lady on the phone had a sexy voice and sounded pretty so i had to bump it up to two ;)
UPDATE: 30th Jan 2012 - I was called today by a senior member of the Ark staff who has looked through my order and re-sent it to me so i will still be getting my product even though my original parcel was lost. Anybody who has had the same problem just ring up any ark store and they will help you out as they did me.

I ordered clothes from them on the 30/12/2011 and it is now the 26/01/2012. I have sent numerous emails and tried to call, but I have no response or have been told by electronic message that there is "no room" for my message on the answering machine. I want my money back but not being able to even get a response by e-mail is making this ridiculously hard. I would encourage everyone to think twice before buying from ark clothing.
Ordered a Superdry jacket for my daughter as a Christmas present. Pleased it arrived on time but was too small so returned and requested an exchange. Virtually impossible to get through on telephone and e-mail response very very poor. When I did get through on the telephone was told they had a huge Christmas backlog! They have now credited my account but I wanted an exchange! Telephoned 5 times earlier and finally got through, was told they credited my account as the size I wanted wasn't in stock. This is very odd to me as it shows that it is in stock on their website, is this due to the fact that when I ordered I had a 30% discount code and they don't want to exchange for that price???? Daughter very disappointed. What a shame!
Basically, Ark will need to deliver the goods within 30 days or they're going to have a small legal issue to deal with thanks to the Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Regulations 2000, regulation 19 which allows a consumer to receive a full refund if the goods are not delivered within 30 days.
19.—(1) Unless the parties agree otherwise, the supplier shall perform the contract within a maximum of 30 days beginning with the day after the day the consumer sent his order to the supplier.
(2) Subject to paragraphs (7) and (8), where the supplier is unable to perform the contract because the goods or services ordered are not available, within the period for performance referred to in paragraph (1) or such other period as the parties agree (“the period for performance”), he shall—
(a)inform the consumer; and
(b)reimburse any sum paid by or on behalf of the consumer under or in relation to the contract to the person by whom it was made.
