There was a time, many years ago, when I found Asda too expensive but they have really stepped up to the mark with their pricing over the past couple of years. They are a savouir in this economic climate. Everything is delivered on time. I knocked one star off because if I was picking the products myself I would go to the back of the shelf to find products that had longer use by dates
Asda's site is colourful, easy to navigate and full of information about most products you are interested in. I have ordered something from their site and picked it up in store and the delivery time scale was excellent with no fuss or bother at all. I would highly recommend them.
I have shopped here for some time, occasionally the food that is picked isn't chosen by the best date possible. and things have gone off as they were out of date only a day or two from purchase!! I would not have done this myself.
I have ended up with other peoples shopping and had to spend time phoneing to see if they were going to collect it,they asked me to keep it in the fridge and they would get back to me. I did ant they didn't! Dates aren't always the best, same with replacement item s. It is better to just go in yourself then you can make up your own mind. I would not use online supermarket shopping again. (You still have to put it all away which is the worst bit).
Delivery drivers have always been pleasant.
use every week, good prices, good quality food and fast inexpensive delivery.normally have good deals if you spend £50 or more!
Asda as a store is OK, prices are keen, and some of their items are veru good, especially salads, but when it come to home delivery they have consistently failed me.
A small niggle, but annoying enough, is that when substitutes come (substitutes are understandable), they are not separated from the rest of the shopping, which means raking through dozens of bags of shopping to find the chilli paste that some how was thought to be a valid substitute for garlic paste. But that is the small niggle.
What is unacceptable, is missing items and then the response. The customer service centre (offshore in South Africa) are actually fairly helpful and sympathetic, but then remedy of issues is down to the delivery store and that is where service breakdown to unacceptable.
Last night, about one third of my shopping was missing, all the chilled goods were missing. The customer services were meant to inform the store immediately, but left it until 10 am next day, so their '24 hour' redelivery clock didn't start for 12 hours.
What that means is we are left without food that we ordered for 36 hours at least.
Asda is well priced, good variety of goods. Fashionable clothes. One winter coat in particular I had purchased which was based on 1960's style. I was waiting for a train at Kings Cross when a woman asked where I bought my coat and couldn't believe it was from Asda and the price. She thought it was from a boutique store and cost a few hundred pounds.
some great products at the right price but wishes local store followed online prices too as i went to buy a microphone from local store after seeing it on asda's online for around £3 and went to the store and was obligated to pay almost £9 and when queried was told it has never been £3 odd from any store and then was rudely asked if i wanted item or not but other than that experience normally a pleasent shopping experience
Reserve online and collect in your local store is a fantastic service, I have used it many, many times. They accept any returns instore too.
Asda's website is so easy to navigate around and select the products you're after. I found the part where you select the date and time of delivery very easy to use. Would recommend!
I nearly always get mad when I shop here. Items priced wrongly or unavailable. Long queues, especially when I have only a few items. The dreaded self-serve tills ( I am not getting paid to do the same job as the other till servers.) These tills never work properly, taking twice as long as normal ones. On the other tills why can't people move away to the window area to pack their bags instead of holding up everyone else - this system works perfectly well in Aldi where I hardly ever queue more than 2 mins! Aisles blocked by shoppers and staff re-loading shelves. Queues at the petrol station because only one kiosk is open even at peak times (though sometimes there are 2 staff chatting in the one kiosk.). Queues at the returns desk with only one person manning the post. Often no baskets at the entrances - ad infinitum!
Have dealt with them a few times all times the item have arrived on time nicely packaged and if you need to return them they deal with it promptly
The delivery service is great but they took extra money out of my account. They said this is normal but I didn't have the money in my bank account.
Ordering your contact lenses online from Asda opticians couldn't be easier, plus once you've made your first order subsequent orders are literally click and go! I only ever use he free postal service
I love buying my new little girl clothes from Asda. I enjoying browsing the Asda website and delivery is always fast.
Ordered a present from asda direct to be delivered to store within 3-5 days. After 5 days, no tracking info or email to say it had been delievered to the store. Upon asking in store, I was told they had no way of finding out where it was until it arrived. On day 7, I rang customer services who told me someone would call me to tell me the status. Nobody rang. I rag again to further inquire and was told that I could collect the item for up to 7 days after the date it was due and tried to get out of me cancelling my order. As it was a birthday present, I forced cancellation. Would not recommend ordering to store!

Love shopping in Asda, staff are so polite and helpfull. Have good products and i like the special offers.
I am a frequent shopper at asda and spent a lot of money online as well as in the Enniskillen store, when they changed there "asda entertainment" site they stopped delivering to the rep of Ireland so I could no longer purchase anything online and so have to use their competitors sites ie. play.com etc, with 2 children under 9 , 2 under 18 and another over 18 still living at home, 2 X-boxes, 3 playstations 3s, a wii and numerous Nintendo DS's they have lost out and I feel this issue could be remedied as they did and have delivered to me before the web site change. my monthly average grocery spend is £700 to £750, my average online purchases are between £150 to £200. sort it
cheap and the quality of the clothes i buy on here are great and good value for money
Shopping online is so much easier than shopping in person! The site is easy to use and delivery drivers are always friendly, polite and punctual - 5/5 for their service!
Asda has truly made our cost of living worthwhile! What wonderful deals and bargains! Many thanks.
the delivery guy was very pleasant and friendly but my 40 bottles of wine were delivered in plastic carrier bags.
Unfortunately due to a broken freezer my pizzas were not delivered yet paid for. I requested a refund which was dealt with quickly but not for the full amount I was charged. I pointed this out to them but they were not forthcoming.
I have been shopping with Asda for years and decided to try their delivery service. What a big mistake that was. Their favorite is to send you dented tins, crushed pies and late delivery and customer service leaves a lot to be desired.
Sorry Asda.

ASDA was one of my favorite super market when I studied in UK.
I went to ASDA one a week to buy food and everyday products. They had variety of products with good price.
I won't use them anymore as each time I've ordered from them I've had problems.....late delivery with no phone call when the driver got lost; items delivered covered in dirt; past-their best and mouldy vegetables. The store that they are delivered from is a bad one, if you have a good Asda near you then you might be luckier.
I have just ordered a new iron online through Asda. I have not used them before, but the ordering process was straight forward and quick. What I liked most however, was the price. They were over 25% cheaper than the nearest competitor. Dont know how they do it, but I have certainly got a great bargain.
I have ordered from Asda many times and their products for the most part are good value for money. I stopped ordering from them online because I always seemed to have difficulty with the deliveries.
The drivers were late 80% of the time. Invariably, I had to telephone them and ask where my delivery was..
This time was the final straw. I had the usual 2 hour slot and when that slot was nearing an end I telephoned asking where my delivery was. I was told by their customer service department that the driver could not find my address! So he just didn't deliver!
When I asked the customer service adviser what was to happen next and she said that the store had told her that they would be in touch to reschedule. I waited and hour and called back as the store had yet to telephone me with a slot. I was then told that they had selected the 8-10 pm slot.
I waited until 9.30 and called the customer service department and asked if my order was still on track to be delivered and was told that my delivery was still on the van. I insisted she phoned through to the store and explained to her what happened earlier. She telephoned me back advising that I would not be receiving my order today because the truck had broken down!! At which juncture I asked for my order to be cancelled - back to Tesco for me.

I must say that I was very surprised with the information staff from my local Asda store, Heathfield, I spotted that they had charged me an incorrect price on an item This was corrected and they gave me a further item for frrr. Well done
I don't mind Asda but i must admit that I found the choice pretty poor and the prices not that favourable compared to other major supermarkets. I only ever used ASDA because it was closest to me adn I need something quickly, other than that I went elsewhere.
Excellent service, low prices and efficient delivery. I have been using Asda online for a couple of years & the only problems, if you can really call it a problem, is with the substituted items, which sometimes are not even the same type of product! Never experienced any other problems. The website is easy to use, the communication is good, prices are vey reasonable & the service is prompt. Recomended.
I far prefer Asda to Tesco...no comparison as far as I am concerned. Asda is so economical and their own make products half the price as named brands are equally just as good. George is no bad either lol
The value for money ratio is quite good. However, the food quality doesn't seem to be the best.
