I like asos and have been shopping with them since they launched. However I don't like the fact that they have increased their prices and the quality has decreased - only one person is winning here and it's not the customer.
However their branded items are improving in choice and I look out for their sales. Nowadays I tend to head to TK Maxx as they offer better value in my opinion. But if you want a quick fashion fix then asos does the job!
I use ASOS once in a blue moon. But I was positively surprised with my last experience. I was shopping for tops and dresses. And I ordered quite a few things - four tops and two dresses. Unfortunately, I got the sizes completely wrong. I think it was because all brand have different views on how sizes from 8 to 12 should look like.
Anyway, the delivery came very fast. 4 out of 6 did not fit. But I was able to post back everything the morning after I received the products. And the refunded money was back in my account in no time. So I could go shopping again.
I think size guides can be made more efficient. But at least ASOS are good when it comes to fixing bad choices. I will definitely try my luck with them again.
I purchased from ASOS a few weeks ago and I ordered 2 handbags. When I got my package, it was in pretty bad shape. It was very damaged and there was a spot you can put you whole face in the box. I was actually surprised to see that 1 of my handbags actually made it to my house considering the damage on the box. That said, I contacted ASOS about what happened and how I didn't receive one of my items and they were going to send me a new one as a replacement. Fantastic. I got my package and again, the box was heavily damaged. (I live in California. So it might be the overseas problems or something.) I have now decided to return the item so, we shall see if I get my money back. I'm not sure how it'll work but I'm keeping my fingers crossed. I will also edit this review in the future to provide more experience or whatever. (2/26/14)
I've ordered from Asos quite a few times, I joined the premium service for the years next day delivery and every order I have placed has been received the following day, quality, price and service have been excellent.
Har handlet der flere gange og er generelt tilfreds. Kvaliteten er ganske god, og leveringstiden er cirka halvanden uge. Kundeservice er hurtige til at respondere på diverse spørgsmål.
- Irriterende er det dog, at man bestiller en kjole, og får at vide at den er afsendt sammen med de øvrige varer. - Flere dage senere får man så en mail om, at den alligevel ikke er med i pakken, da størrelsen var udsolgt.
Der ville ikke være så mange fejlkøb, hvis købere kunne bedømme produkterne offentligt på asos, som man kan på andre tøjsider.
I have shopped on the ASOS website for years and never ever had a problem with their delivery unfortunately I have now had the worst experience. I placed an order worth over £150 on 2nd December 2013 - I was told the package would be with me by 20th December - nothing came - I emailed ASOS and they said please allow another 2 weeks for deliver which I did - still nothing came - no phone call from postal company nothing. They then resent my package...80 days later I am still waiting for either my items I ordered and paid for or a full refund.
The responses to my emails are standard templates that they send to everyone - no phone number to contact them directly to speak to anyone at all and they take days to respond to emails and I have never had an email response from the same person in the last 2 months I have been emailing.
I have seen so many complaints about their customer service and delivery problems and after this I will make sure all my friends and family who buy from asos know what a mess I have had to deal with.
My only wish is that I have read those reviews before I spend my money on ASOS, here is my story: I made my first purchase couple weeks ago for an order over $150 with a $25 off coupon. Turns out the pant ($53.71) won’t fit me, since they do not offer exchange in the US, I have to return it and make another purchase separately.
ASOS received my return merchandise but ONLY credit me $28.71 back because they auto-deducted the $25 coupon that I used for my first order even though it is technically an exchange, not a refund.
I decided to email the customer service at ASOS since there is no phone number you can call from US. After couple of days waiting, I contacted them via facebook. A rep emailed me back but insist there will be no refund on $25 because they do not offer exchanges outside the UK therefore all returns will be treated as refund MINUS the coupon if the new total does not qualify the original offer (even though my second replacement order actually is more than the first order without using any coupons).
IN SHORT, I LOST $25 FOR SOMETHING DOESN’T FIT ME RIGHT.
It’s an extremely unfair situation and bad business practice. They rather lose a forever customer than credit me back $25 no wonder they earned so many bad reviews already.
Purchased from them a couple times, mainly due to the sizes available. But they are not good quality, e.g. holes appearing after 1st use, it happened to most of them, where as i don't have the same experience with other brand
The worst thing is that they keep sending you coupons for 25-50% off so to make you feel like you have a good deal. The truth is they raised some prices on the things and I only found out that because i have put them in my wish list.
And purchase only from english pounds because they will rip you off with currency rate if you pay them in US dollars! Ended up being cheaper if you purchase in UK and pay the credit card the currency rate!
I bought a pair of mens' shoes and two belts. All ASOS own brand items. All allegedly 100% patent leather. The belts were very thing and almost plastic in appearance, but of broadly acceptable quality for the price I paid in the sale. The shoes were dreadful. Really poor quality, shiny, plastic leather uppers, scuffed sole on one as if it has been worn, with a poorly nailed on separate thin heel on the thin plastic sole with protruding nails and just generally a horrendously cheap and nasty appearance. They went back to ASOS literally minutes after arrived. In future I will just go to ASDA - similar priced own brand clothes but far, far better quality. The only positive is returns are free. I hope my refund is processed in quick time.
I bought a few dresses and other items a few months ago and I have to say that my overall experience with Asos was good. The dresses I ordered was of quite good quality but not amazing but I didn't expect amazing for the price I was paying. The only minor problem I can think of was the sizing as it seems so many brands vary a lot. Lucky my sister is good with a sewing machine so she took the waist of one of the dresses in a little for me so it fits fine now. Not perfect but as I said, for the money, I can't really complain and delivery was fast.
Made my first ever order with them recently. Purchased a pair of shoes although when they arrived they had sent me two left shoes!
Went through there very lengthy e-mail only customer service who informed me that the shoes were now out of stock. I enquired that as I would be returning two lefts, surely they held two rights of which they could be matched.
Apparently it is not that easy! Am getting my money refunded but needless to say I won't use this company again.
Bestilte 3 varer over Asos og fik pakken en enkelt dag forsinket, hvilket jeg dog sagtens kan leve med. Herefter finder jeg så ud af, at den størrelse jeg har bestilt i mine sko desværre er forkert og jeg vil derfor gerne returnere pakken, men da returnering er på egen regning, vil prisen for at returnere skoene være 1/3 af skoenes værdi, så udover at det er mega besværligt at finde ud af returneringsproceduren, så kan det heller ikke betale sig at returnere varerne, hvis nu, der havde været lidt bedre instruktioner i størrelser og i, at returnering er for egen regning, havde det nok hjulpet en del nu. Asos er en enkeltgangsoplevelse, jeg gider ikke det her store bøvl igen for en enkel ting eller to.
asos billed me £200 for a coat, over one month later I never received the coat and asos still have my money. appalling, not one apology, blamed on 'IT issues', 40 minute on hold today, won't offer any compensation, auto generated emails, frankly insulting 10% off next purchase code. never has a company taken £200 from me and kept it for one month without ever receiving a product
They suck, completely, 100%. I ordered from them 2 dresses for a valentine's event. I received my package two weeks after I ordered. One dress was missing. It was over $80. My event is tomorrow and they have not responded to me DESPITE THE FACT I HAVE EMAILED THEM ON AND OFF FOR THE LAST 48 HOURS! Oh and of course there is no number for me to call. I HATE them.
I have used asos many times in the past and been very happy with the items I have received. However after recently purchasing a few items off the website I was a victim to credit card fraud. This is the only website i use to purchase anything online and my credit card was targeted just hours after making a payment. Luckily for me the bank was able to pay me back the money as I paid for the items on my credit card not debt. I would just like to warn everyone that you can never be safe as I have used asos for many years. I don't want anyone to have to go through all the hassle I have had, or even worse and not be able to get there money back. This website has become highly targeted by hackers attempting so even if you have used them before like me, I'd stay clear, it's better to be safe than sorry. You'll never know if they'll target you! Asos seriously needs to reconsider their security measures to prevent this from happening.
