I can't say enough about A Suit That Fits. Allow me to preface with why I can be such a difficult customer. I have a very broad set of shoulders and a very flat chest and stomach, making even the finest bespoke suits pop in the middle, sit back on my shoulders, or scrunch behind the neck. I've been to local suit makers, online suit makers, traditional retailers, and no suit or dress shirt has ever fit me, ON FIRST TRY, as the suit that Warren and Shao here in New York made for me. Shao knew what was going on with my body better than old men who have been fitting suits for decades.
The cut is flattering without being too flashy. The accents (buttons, extra pockets, lining, piping) all work to create a masterpiece of a suit that shows me as I want to be seen. I would pay substantially more for the same suit; i got a steal.
You can't beat the fit, materials or service, and when you're talking quality-to-price, forgetaboutit. A Suit That Fits or Death.
I chose to use A Suit That Fits after doing some research into alternatives to the standard male formal fashion market. I'm getting married soon, and wanted good quality morning dress not just for the big day but to last for future occasions; however, being an awkward body shape I've never enjoyed buying off-the-peg, and didn't feel I had the budget or guts for the stuffier end of the tailoring market.
It was a bit of a shot in the dark, though reading about the company reminded me of hearing good things about the business model when they launched. The website is professional, modern, stylish, clear and easy to use, and I was impressed to see the large number of offices for fittings etc. My personal consultant, Shivali, was knowledgeable, welcoming and charming, and was clearly engaged in the design of the suit. The wealth of options available is excellent, and I have a truly personalised, quality outfit. It speaks volumes of the quality service that not only was the suit ready for a first fitting several weeks before the estimated date, but it required just one or two tweaks before being finished - it really does fit!
I had only the tiniest reservations: I found the office I used quite hard to find the first time, and I would have appreciated being able to manage my appointments online; however, the text message customer service, while less usual, was just as effective and more personal. I'll almost certainly be back for worksuits once the wedding is over.
I have struggled over the years to get suits to fit and have gone to the same brand, Canali once or twice a year for the last decade. Then decided to have a suit tailored by a friend's tailor (nightmare) . Came across asuitthatfits online and thought I haven't got anything to lose. Met their style consultant Jon Harrison, near my office in Reading. It was great to actually be able to talk to someone knowledgeable without them pushing a solution. Anyway I decided to have 2 suits made after the first consultation and paid for express delivery for the first. It arrived on time and was an amazing fit compared to anything else I have. A few alterations were made and I had it back in a week or so. Spoke at a conference recently and got great feedback on my speech and the suit!!! Can't wait for the second to arrive. Great service, great materials and for a price that is less than I was paying Canali. A 'no brainer'
Shivali in the West End London Studio assisted me from the beginning to the end in designing my ASuitThatFits jacket and introduced me to an amazing experience.
When my jacket arrived, I was so happy that, with the assistance of Shivali, immediately designed and purchased another one.
This company has great staff and fantastic customer service. A must to try!
Just received my first suit which was altered several times until perfect - I was so pleased I booked straight back in for another and took my son for a suit also. Andy at Manchester offers excellent advice and service. So many options - my suit is very traditional, my sons much more fashionable. Especially like the texts and emails keeping me informed at all times.
David in the bristol shop was really good and very patient. I'd only had off the shelf suits before going to a suit that fits and what a difference! I will never buy an of the shelf suit again.
I will be going back to a suit the fits a soon as I can/ as soon as I finish paying my welling bills.
I have now had 5 suits from A Suit That Fits, and apart from the excellent fit of the clothes, the customer service is excellent. The last suit was fitted by Brett Deerans and, not only was his advice excellent he was extremely unwilling to let me leave with anything except a perfect fit.
I would heartily recommend A Suit That Fits.
I recently got married and went to see Reece Copeland at A Suit That Fits. Firstly, at every stage of the process Reece was outstanding - punctual, knowledgable, accomodating, courteous and a great listner. From some very patchy suggestions, Reece selected a number of colours, materials and suit cuts for me to look at.
After skilfully guiding me through the process of designing my own suit, I waited a mere 5 weeks and my fully tailored suit arrived. I needed one alteration on the account i had lost some weight and the end result was better than I could have hoped. The suit fitted like a glove and I felt fantastic in it for my wedding day.
Reece and the rest of the team at ASuitThatFits are excellent to deal, all courtesous and helpful and the selection of materials, colours and fabrics is second to none and the end product is superb. Any one looking for a new suit or looking to feel sharp at aa special event should visit these guys
Very happy customer
They have great customer service
I have just retired and my treat to myself was to have a new bespoke blazer made. I have never had any clothing made to measure in my life before . David Haynes made the whole experience very enjoyable , I liked the explanation of how clothing actually works , being a power electrical engineer I had no idea at all .The options and discussions were welcome and no feelings of any "hard sell ".The only hard part was handing over my credit card. Your website had been reviewed prior to making an appointment and it was a surprise that the same website layout was used by David , your website structure and pricing details were easy to follow and select and the ability to get a ball park feel for the likely cost was a big factor in the decision to follow through and make an appointment .
I recently visited a number of bristol tailors to get a special wedding suit made for myself and my best man on my wedding day. After attempting to explain and failing (not being regular suit wearer), what exactly we required to a number of helpful tailors, I then met a Mr David Minns at a suitthatfits, he was very helpful, professional and re-assuring and helped to create the perfect suit for both me and my best man. No query or alteration was too much, and I would highly recommend his services to anyone requiring tailoring services!
A Suit That Fits are perfect! The atmosphere is friendly but that doesn’t reduce the quality. They listened to my thoughts and advised accordingly. That is so hard to find. Tailors that listen to what you have to say and make suggestions based around your desires. I would most certainly come back and i recommend anyone who needs a tailored suit made in the central London area to check these guys out. Forget Saville Row!
I need to say a big Thank you to my Suit That Fits rep - Shivali Soba who was fantastic! She was very professional and demonstrated how great she is at what she does!
Quite simply, the most comfortable suit I have ever worn. A change of career into a job that requires me to wear a suit frequently prompted me to visit Jon Harrison at ASTF's Oxford branch, and I'm so glad I did. The initial measuring appointment was friendly and efficient, and I chose a dark blue herringbone, with a smart red patterned lining and a contrast collar.
The suit arrived on schedule, but unfortunately there was a problem with the jacket. As soon as it was apparent that the problem couldn't be fixed, there was no argument - Jon immediately ordered a replacement.
I've just picked up the jacket and it fits perfectly. This is a great looking suit, and the customer service has been excellent.
David at the Bristol studio provided everything I was hoping for and more from my first tailored suit experience. I got a unique suit with the combination of tradition and quirkiness I wanted and was subject to a great customer experience at the same time. Absolutely no problems recommending to others.
I have the pleasure of owning 2 suits from A Suit That Fits and the really great thing I can say is that "my tailor advised me". My tailor is David Minns - at the Bristol studio and his advice, expertise and style knowledge is second to none. The service I have had has been brilliant and the suits - a 2 piece and a 3 piece - are wonderful. Everything perfect thanks to the "advice from my tailor" from the shape to the cut and the attention to details has been fabulous - the fact that David measured the size of the "business card" pocket to ensure it suited me. I would thoroughly recommend A Suit That Fits (Bristol especially!) if you are looking to look and feel great!
I now have two "suits that fit" that I love to bits. I am always receiving complements on how good my suits look. They are worlds apart from the off-the-peg suits I have had in the past (and I did not skimp on the price of my OTP suits). The service from A Suit That Fits has been great and I have been quite impressed with the general workmanship. The minor alterations that were required after the initial fittings were made quickly and my suits fit me perfectly. I have since had several of their custom shirts made for me and they really are something. You only realise how poorly the OTP shirts fit once you have worn one tailored to you. All-in-all, I am very happy with A Suit That Fits, and I will be going back for more shirts soon.
Stumbled across the Bristol branch after deciding against renting a suit for my wedding.
There I met the kingpin and man for all occasions David. Within minutes I knew he was the right guy for the job!
Warm, welcoming, cool, quirky and seemed to understand what I wanted to achieve with my creation. Over numerous chats together David and I created a pretty amazing suit that not only felt amazing but it looked incredible.
Biggest day of my life and dont think I could of worn a better suit even if my budget was 100 times bigger.
If only I could work out ways of wearing my tails more on a daily basis.
Would probably trust this guy with my life.
A slick operation with as much or as little creative potential as one would like. Suits that look great, feel fab and fit perfectly. Had a three piece made with a few quirky extras.
Found the Bristol branch to be reflective of the city - relaxed and fun. Suit supremo David and I chatted suits, music and life as he guided me through the measurement and design process with a knowledge that was fairly frightening. In quick-flash time I was trying it on and sending it back for further tweaking. The idea here is perfection and nothing less will do.
The suits are sharp and their pursuit of quality impressive. I'm proud of my finished suit and the fact I co-created it.
Great service, great value, great cloth, great suit. Its really very simple, before you spend any money on a suit, visit a suit that fits…….if you're in Bristol Mr Minn's will certainly take care of business.
The only problem with this organisation is that you will be so pleased with the product you'll be back for more.
From the first meeting, where the tailor was able to offer knowledgeable but unobtrusive advice, to the final fittings where handy hints on how to care for the suit, the entire process was slick and professional. Can't wait for the next excuse to use ASTF again!
I'd never buy a suit off-the-peg again after my experience at ASTF. It's just wonderful to wear clothing that is made to measure, especially, if like me, you are a person of non standard physical stature! The staff are friendly and knowledgable, and considering the resulting product, the prices are pretty good too.
I have bought 3 suits from Warren and his team at ASTF and have been delighted with their personal and expert service. The fabric, style and fit is excellent and always attracts compliments. I highly recommend A Suit That Fits.
Excellent product and service. I have purchased 5 suits from ASTF and have been really pleased with the fit and look of all of them. Some have needed minor alterations when I first tried them on but you would expect that from tailer made suits and David's service in Bristol is impeccable. He's extremely knowledgeable, gives great advice and you can make appointments which don't need to clash with your working day. I am a choosy consumer who shops around a lot, but I don't look anywhere else for suits now.
The first "attempt" arrived and it was completely wrong size - and it had also been made by a trainee - the finishing touches were extremely poor. I couldn't even get the trousers on!
Cutting a long story short, I had 2/3 fittings in Edinburgh, 1 in London, on two ocassions the agreed alterations were not made. Finally after time consuming and expensive visits to their studios (I live in Switzerland), and ten months later, the suit has finally arrived. It does look pretty good, but their business model is very flawed and very badly managed. A real shame as their idea is great.
ASTF has provided me with an absolutely wonderful dinner jacket: elegant and stylish as well as perfectly tailored. Excellent customer service right from the get go. Very responsive and keen to make sure I got the head turning suit I wanted. Excellent value for money. This is a dinner jacket for life. Eleven out of ten.
I've had 5 or so suits from ASTF (including my wedding suit!) and am really pleased with how they've turned out, I've actually looked pretty good!
It's more than the finished article though. I have and continue to really appreciate the help that ASTF staff give me in designing the perfect suit for me. Aside from good at measuring my specific shape they always give good ideas and style considerations, and being a sh1t bloke that's extremely useful!
Also the process of coming into fit the suit for the first time once it's made really gives you the peace of mind that the finished product is going to be FANTASTIC!
Cheers guys, you make me look a great deal better (albeit there's a fair amount of room for that!). But it's not just about the finished suit, you've really helped guide my style choices with great service.
I have bought over 5 suits from ASTF now and I find the staff extremely happy with their service. It's so easy once the first fitting is done, now all I do is re-order each time.. The price is as reasonable as the high street, yet it fits better.
Their wide choice of tailoring outlets meant that measurement and collection of the suit was very easy and convenient. The staff were attentive, knowledgeable and polite. The suit was expertly made, arrived promptly, required no adjustment or alteration and satisfied my exacting standards. Highly recommended.
I needed a new suit for work and went into their branch just by Regent Street to get measured. The lady who measured me up was excellent. I selected the material, lining, button, number of pockets and cut I wanted. This place also often has deals on shirts. Anyway, the suit arrived and I went to fit it on. It was a perfect fit without any alteration. I could not praise the service enough. They also make winter coats, which with the winter just gone will be something I get at the end of the year. Speaking to the lady, I think her name was Shivali, the company have done a lot of good work with charities. Its a 5 out of 5 from me!
I knew of A Suit that Fits through a former colleague. My current job doesn''t require suits, but I am getting married soon and wanted a custom Tuxedo to mark the occasion. I went to a few of the larger chain stores and everything I found was in the $1000s for something that wasn't just quite right. That is when I remember A Suit that Fits. Within a few days of contacting them, they had someone come over to my apartment at my convenience and measure me for the tuxedo. They spent well over 2 hours going through every detail and measurement to make sure I got exactly what I wanted. This also came to be less expensive than an off the rack Tuxedo that would have cost more. I loved the customer service and I love the Tuxedo.
I used A Suit That Fits having read their reviews as they appeared to have a good reputation.I was in the market for a dinner suit but wanted something that looked both traditional but with a 'wow' factor.Booking an appointment with my style advisor,Jon Harrison, was easy and I attended the fitting.Jon listened to my requests and wishes and when I saw the blue dinner suit worn by J.B in Skyfall on the front cover of a glossy I calmly said 'thats what I want!'
Jon's reply,'no problem'.
My suit was ready for a first fitting within 5-6 weeks which was quicker than usual.I was able to request extras that I changed my mind on after the initial measuring, online(including getting a bow tie to match the suit fabric and colour).
A few alterations were needed but that was due to me changing size and shape having hit the gym.
Jon even advised to have the jacket taken in further to give it that sculpted look without losing any comfort.
The end result was fabulous!!!
Due to me requiring the suit at such short notice Jon even drove it to my home on a Friday evening to ensure I had it for the Saturday ball.
I cannot speak highly enough of Jon Harrison and A Suit That Fits and will definitely be getting my next addition to my wardrobe from them.
This was my first bespoke piece and it's a guarantee that I will continue supplementing my wardrobe with additional items. My style consultant offered honest feedback on the colour, fit and additional styling flair, while walking me through the process. Love the fit and look of my suit, and the comments of my colleagues backs it up. Am actually looking forward to pressing the style envelope forward with my next order.
After almost 5 months and lots of alterations I finally have a suit that has the sleeves the same length. The quality of the suit material is good but I'd expect that with a £650 suit. The initial appointment with Chris was excellent and he really made it seem like I was getting the bespoke element however this is where it ended. Chris left the company soon after and when the suit arrived there were a few issues with the fit but I expected a second fitting to sort it out.
I didn't expect the sleeves to be different lengths or when the altered jacket returned, they had shortened the already short sleeve, let the back out on only one side and still hadn't rectified the personalised label that said 'hand tailored for no pleats?!'. Along with other issues unfortunately they had to remake the jacket and I was surprised that it came quickly, despite the suits being made in Nepal.
I have a suit that fits but still the sleeves are still too long so I'm going to a local seamstress to have it sorted out as I have no faith in the inexperienced tailors they use. If you can't read measurements and instructions properly, you shouldn't really be employed as a tailor.
I am disappointed with the whole affair and can't help thinking I should have just bought an off the peg suit for a third of the price as I can't see much difference. It may be partly down to my perception as the suit is ok, but the shine has been taken off it and I don't feel like it is the special wedding suit I was so looking forward to treating myself to.
I won't be recommending the company as I don't think it offers the personal touch you want when you're spending a lot of money on a suit.
Be aware that they make you pay for the whole suit before its made which took me by surprise at the initial measuring and quite different to any other tailor. Now I see why they get your money first as I doubt many customers would accept the final garments.
I hope the company continues to trade as I am in full support of independent businesses but I fear that unless it ups its game and stops making basic errors it will go bankrupt. Some of the reviews of ASTF on line are shocking and instead of the manager reactively defending the company, some proactive restructuring to avoid these mistakes in the first place needs to happen.
In summary, buy a Hugo boss suit off the peg and have it altered to fit, saving hundreds in the process and having a suit that you actually look forward to wearing.
From the first appointment which involved choosing the cut/design, measurements being taken and deciding on the cloth right up until the finished product, which fitted perfectly, the professionalism and service given was outstanding. If you’re looking for the perfect fitting suit then I would strongly recommend A Suit That Fits.
Definitely worth using them, need a new suit that was different from all the generic and dull colours you get in-store. They where very helpful, from helping me pick out my colours to ensuring i had the perfect style that was right for me. it did take a little longer than other suits i have had made, but other than that it was fine. I am sure to use them again at some point.
For my wedding I wanted an Indian inspired suit but had never worn anything like that before, in fact it was a bit of a wild guess it could even be done. From my first meeting with David I was impressed both with his brilliant approach to his work but also with his ability to make the fitting a pleasure for someone normally accustomed to jeans and a polo shirt. It took us a few trial runs, a couple of extra sessions, quite a bit of coffee and the odd scowl, but we got there in the end and the whole process was a pleasure. David, the tailor in Bristol, is an absolute gem and I will be back in the future for a few more items!
Great suits, great prices, great service.
