Very disappointing customer service.

I ordered an HRT MicroStreamer on 27 March, which never arrived. Initially it was sent Royal Mail rather than via courier (the company admitted this was a mistake) a day later than promised on their website (they claim same day dispatch if orders are placed before 2pm – I placed mine at 10am but it was allegedly dispatched next day). It took them a week to send proof of delivery (after me requesting it 3 times when the item didn't arrive). Over a month later, the item has still not arrived and I am yet to receive a refund (which I was promised 10 days ago). This is simply unacceptable. Also, when I asked for a new item to be dispatched, the company said that they were not in stock, despite it being displayed as In Stock on their website (which makes me wonder if they ever actually had any stock in the first place!?!). Very poor customer service.

Following the full refund issued to your card, we have started sending more and more items by DPD rather than Royal Mail as DPD offer a timed delivery window among other benefits. This doesn't help with the delay with your order but rest assured we value your custom and will take care of you in future. Customer focus at its best

Great service. Upgraded my QAcoustic 2050i's from open box to new and still gave me the discounted price.

Slow in the start, but customer support picked up and i recieved better speakers in the end.

From the begining, i bought some speakers (Audio Engine A5) off of this company, no problem here.

Later my speakers broke, and when i first wrote to them they were very slow at picking up my complaint, but finally they contacted me.
We were having some difficulties with the manufacturers not being able to, or did not want to repair my speakers, but John (customer support) pushed them and would not allow them to slag off, he then made them send me some brand new A5+ instead of the original A5.

The only reason why i do not give them 5 stars is because they were way too slow in the begining and things first started happening when i wrote a bad review on trustpilot.

Good prices and amazing customer service

My first purchase from Audi Affair. I ordered a pair of Tannoy DC4Ts for the best price around, and only noticed I'd picked the wrong colour when I read the shipping notification from the courier (totally my fault, it was clearly stated in the order confirmation). I immediately hit the "reschedule delivery" option and contacted Audio Affair who were incredibly helpful and sorted it out for me with no fuss. The DC4Ts arrived the next week in light oak. I'll definitely buy from AA again.

Been waiting for 20 days now

20 days and still nothing. The worst thing is att they been saying that my delivery is on its way at least there times now. And then when i contact then wondering where my goods are they make stupid excuses saying that they ordered the wrong reciever from onkyo. It said on Audio Affairs webpage that they had the reciever in stock. So not only are they lying to you in e-mails and telephone bit also on the webpage.

Great service!

I bought a pair of Audioengine A5 speakers more than 2 years ago. Very happy with their original service, good price, speedy shipping etc.
But recently the speakers broke (faulty amp I think) and they were still under the 3-year manufacturer's warranty. Audio Affair honour all the manufacturer warranties, so I sent the speakers back to them.
There was quite a delay in a decision whether to repair or replace them, but this was the manufacturer's fault. Audio Affair kept me up to date with what was happening. This took a while, as they were waiting on a shipment of parts and products from the manufacturer in the USA.
For my troubles and patience Audio Affair gave me a free pair of the Audioengine A5+, the newer, £100 more expensive model that replaced my A5. Came via next day shipping. I'm sure if it wasn't for the manufacturer being slow this would have been resolved a lot sooner. Currently listening to my new speakers and a happy customer now.

I ordered a pair of Partington Super Dreadnought, after asking a few questions by e-mail - which received a kind answer the same day.
Ordered in the morning, shipped in the afternoon, delivered at my house in France four days later with a week-end in the middle, that means within 2 working days.

Can't say anything bad about them!

Can't rate audio affair any higher. I've ordered a turntable and speakers from them and both times been given very honest and reasonable advice. Aimed towards getting me the most suited audio equipment for my budget. I'd recommend them to anyone and they are now my absolute go to company for any audio equipment.

Flawless service; simply unbeatable!

So far I've ordered two products from Audio Affair; one amplifier and one pair of headphones. Both times I have had nothing but the most professional, courteous and first class service, specifically from John, who has been spoken highly of in other reviews before this one.

I agree with the other reviews completely when they say how much Audio Affair are willing to help and always put the customer first. One particular example can be found with my amplifier order. This amp was newly released, manufactured overseas and required international shipping, so I knew the wait would be longer than usual. But even so, Audio Affair, without any prompting from myself, processed a small cash refund to my account as an apology for the wait - this was despite the fact that the longer delivery time was through no fault of their own!

Needless to say, I was thoroughly impressed by Audio Affair's consideration for their customer. Their choice of delivery service for my orders was also excellent (DPD next day), giving me text and email alerts with 1-hour delivery windows for my orders.

Audio Affair is probably the best company I've had the pleasure of ordering from, and they are firmly my number one choice if there is anything I would want to look for in the future. I have absolutely no hesitation in recommending them to anyone else.

Maybe a bit premature - does anyone think I stand a chance of getting a refund from Audio Affair?

Hi everyone and a happy new year!

I had a problem with a new Onkyo TX-SR313 (the RCA Active Sub out was not working). I phoned Audio Affair and eventually agreed (because I had not reported the fault out of the box within 30 days) to get a part refund. Ok I've taken a bit of a hit, but from thier point of view, the Amp is part used.
I have now gone elsewhere, not because of bad service, but Richer Sounds in Southampton are easier to get to / from where I live. Ended up with a Pioneer VSX 922.
Thanks John from Audio affair for dealing with this troublesome matter. A happy customer now.

What Customer Service SHOULD be

Initially, I intended to buy my hifi from one of the local (Scottish) hifi shops, but on researching the components, I came across Audio Affair who were offering competitive rates.

I mailed them a question.

John emailed back, and asked if he could ring me, and we arranged a time. When he rang, I felt immediately that this chap genuinely wanted to listen to me, to ensure that I ended up with a system which would suit me perfectly. How wonderful, these days, to find such a person!

Once the basics had been sorted out, John and I emailed almost daily. I was kept informed of exactly what was happening, and much valuable advice was given to me. Any worries or questions I had were explained clearly and kindly.

The eagerly awaited system arrived on time. The turntable and phono stage had already been set up before they left the shop: another thoughtful action. Everything was as it should be, and worked straight out of the box. A marvellous system indeed,

Audio Affair is, in my opinion, the model which sets the standard for customer service, and which others should strive to emulate.

I should especially like to thank John for the care he took over my purchase, and for proving to me that excellent customer service does, in fact, still exist.

I find it hard to convey the level of service I received from this company. I checked them out on line and having read the reviews went ahead and ordered a 'fatman ivalve amp' Duly arrived in good time and worked perfectly....until....whoomph... not working. Time to test the customer service ! Penny is even better than the credits she receives on this review site. I called in the morning first thing and Penny arranged collection there and then....but... I had to go to work ( I'm field based and busy ) Well, by 11:00 the SAME morning Royal Mail Parcleforce were on my doorstep collecting the amp! New amp delivered in good time and music plays again. I would like to thank Penny for truly outstanding customer service and would recommend Audioaffair to anyone....(as long as Penny's still there!)

Amazing service.

I recently purchased an Onkyo amp and wharfedale speakers from John at Audio Affair and he couldnt have been more helpful,Igot a great deal and lots of advice,It was like talking to an old friend.After I received the Onkyo I hade a few probs setting it up....due to the manual that came with it,you need a degree to understand it,but after a few calls talking again to John and the equaly helpful Richard I got it all sorted out.I realy cant recommend Audio Affair highly enough...I wish that everyone I dealt with provided this level of customer service,Thanks guys.

Audio Affair to Perth Australia in 1 week

Wow super fast delivery and excellent service from John at audio Affair has confirmed that any audio needs i have in the future will lead me back to Audio Affair, even tho they are in the UK.
I bought a Focal 800W UK LE Special Edition Subwoofer from Audio Affair shipped to Perth Australia $500AUD cheaper than my local and regular audio supplier.

I have used Audio Affair several times with no issues, but the true test is when something goes wrong. I have had equipment fail and they have been faultless with their communuication and assistance. For this reason i will always make them my first port of call.

Excelent speaker purchase...

I would highly recommend Audio Affair for purchasing hi-fi equipment. I ordered some Focal speakers from them, and whilst they originally quoted 2-3 working days delivery, they arrived about a week later. Very helpful and efficient customer service. The only slight problem I did encounter was i did not receive a notification email with a tracking number for when my delivery was due. Thankfully, someone was around to accept it when it did arrive.
I would certainly use Audio Affair again, as they sell a very comprehensive range of good quality hi-fi products, at competitive prices. The website is easy to use and very informative for product reviews.
