I contacted Auto glass on the day I received a crack in my windscreen via the internet. They contacted me the next morning by phone and also by email. They were very friendly and helped me to describe the problem in detail. They were able to move my appointment to the next day which was brilliant. The technician arrived within the allocated time and was really helpful. He dealt the crack in the windscreen really quickly and explained the procedure that he had carried out. He also explained the terms and conditions clearly. The crack has now disappeared and I am really happy with the results. Thank you for your great service.
The first technician arrived at the wrong time and then complained that I wasn't there. He then didn't seem confident that he had the right screen to repair the vehicle. I had called a week before to update my order to acoustic glass but this information had not been passed to the technician who firstly told me that the windscreen in his van wasn't acoustic. He then told me that all windscreens were in fact acoustic, it just didn't say acoustic on it. I had no confidence for him to continue with the repair and rebooked.
The second technician was excellent, and completed the repair with an appropriately marked acoustic screen.
I was greeted on the phone by a very polite man. He took my details and confirmed my insurance cover, he made an appointment which was at a time agreed by us during the conversation. The phone was answered straight away the operator was very understanding and knowledgeable. I wasn't needing my car urgently so the next day was fine. I was given an appointment which was also confirmed via email. The repair operator was on time and phoned before he arrived. the job was completed and advice given.
All in all an exemplary service that's why Autoglass are the best.
Contact centre advisor told me of options re times dates and generally friendly and very helpfull. Was booked for repair at home 1600-1900, unfortunately I got delayed by traffic and the technician had waiting outside my house until 1625. He informed me fully on the repair process, gave me the guarantee and even replaced my tax disc, perfection !!!!!
Booked appointment online for bank holiday weekend, got a call from a service rep to discuss the details, decided it was uncertain if the damage was repairable or required replacement. Technician came out 2 days later with a windscreen in the van in case it was needed, evaluated the damage and conducted a replacement promptly and efficiently. The fit is excellent, the car was ready to drive an hour or two later and has proven itself well sealed against rain already. Could not ask for more.
From the start the whole process has been easy, on-line booking that was simple to navigate even on a smart phone. The follow up call was quick, to the point and they listened to my needs and offered suggestions to help resolve my issues. The technician that came was professional, knew what he was doing and pointed out the shoddy repairs that had been done before and then proceeded to resolve them for me.
My car window was broken by a thief and when I rang Autoglass they were so kind and quick at helping me get the car fixed. The appointment was booked within 24hrs by a very courteous and empathetic lady. The technician arrived on time and worked very efficiently. He was again friendly and polite, got on with the job in hand without hesitation and made a really good job of my replacement window. I would not hesitate in recommending Autoglass to anyone I know.
I booked through the internet which was easy and was contacted by phone to verify my details. Despite having turned up a little late at the repair centre the fitters were happy to stay a little longer to ensure the job was done correctly and in the time frame originally explained. The fitter was very thorough in his explanation of the job and later, when the work was complete, talked me through the health and safety issues of driving the car too early etc.
My car was broken into and the passenger window smashed. None were in stock so 2 and a half days elapsed before the repair was effected. I was told we could have it done more quickly if we could get to Cardiff, but that was more than 30 miles away and we had a car full of glass and two young children with us! We were on holiday so had no home phone number to use and only a mobile where reception was very poor. As such it would have been very useful to have been able to correspond by e-mail, which we could still use as the cottage was remote and providing directions would have been much easier via e-mail.
I haven't got any bad things to say in regard Autoglass but feel mislead. I've watched the adverts and they quote that if the chip is repairable then it will be repaired and the chip disappears completely. This is no where near the case so as a client I am not happy as now I have a nice new car with a obvious chip on passenger side on windscreen. Although its fixed and won't crack or worsen I am not pleased with the finish result.
My car was vandalised on the Friday night but auto glass wouldn't send a technician until the following Thursday afternoon. This meant my vehicle would be unsecured and I wouldn't be able to use it for almost a week.
Needed my screen replaced so filled in the form on the Autoglass website and they rang back. Got an appointment earlier than expected so dropped the car off in Cardiff a couple of days later. The work carried out was great but the friendliness of the staff was not good, particularly at reception. Felt more like a nuisance than a valued customer.
Obtained a large chip on the windscreen on Monday morning, contacted Insurance company/Autoglass the same day and was advised a new screen was needed due to multiple cracks leading from it, but they would need to source one as I required a heated screen with rain sensors. I heard back from them Tuesday advising me they had got my screen and promptly booked in for fitting at my convenience for the Saturday morning at home. Friendly and efficient technician removed and fitted the new screen all in about 1 hour. No mess left behind either which is a bonus! Also received a phone call about 20 mins before he arrived to let me know he was on route. Good communication and good job. Thanks!
Within 24hrs of finding an 8in crack in my windscreen, I called Autoglass. As they claim on their adverts, one phone call to them and they can fix it at a time and location convenient to you. Maybe I expected too much, but to find out that the earliest that they could fit my new windscreen was two weeks away, I thought was a long time. So I arranged for them to come out on the Sunday to my house. Guy turned up on time, but with the wrong windscreen and wrong seal!! He told me that he would have to order the right screen in and someone wold give me a call to let me know when it would be fitted. Got a call on the Monday to say that nobody had stock of the windscreen that I needed so they would have to order it in direct from Hyundai and it would take about 3 days. They explained that they would not re-book an appointment until they had the windscreen in their hands so they could check it was the correct windscreen without any problems (which would be another couple of days). Autoglass then called me back and advised that the windscreen had arrived and that all was in orders and when would I like to have the work carried out - I explained that I had already waited nearly 3 weeks now, and they said the earliest appointment they had was two weeks away (a Thursday this time) I asked if they had any capacity in their workshop rather than a home visit, but they said they didn't. I was not at all happy, but what could I do, they had already taken my excess payment from my insurance company, so had no choice but to take a day off work to ensure this got done (as soon as possible). I also explained on the phone to them to make sure they brought the right seal with the screen as the first time, they got that wrong too! Thursday came, and the guy turned up around 12:30 with the right screen, started getting his stuff out of his van, only to find that they had once again got the wrong seal - well as you can imagine, I was fuming!!!! I told the technician that this happened previously and told him that i asked for the seal to be checked when they re-scheduled the appointment and that this was not acceptable, and wanted this sorted today as I had taken a days annual leave to get this sorted - once, I could just about understand, but to happen twice was just not on!! He explained that he had called the office and that they had ordered the right seal and someone would be in contact. I asked to speak to his Manager, but he told me that his Manager wasn't in (I wasn't born yesterday!!!). The technician then said that there were no guarantees that it would be resolved on the day, as he had 5 other jobs to do in other areas!!!! And got in his van and went off to his next job. I rang the local centre myself to find out what was going to happen and they explained that there was a mix up on their labelling of parts and it must have been a 'bad batch' and had ordered another seal from a different supplier which they expected in by 2-2:30pm. Assuming that this was the correct seal, someone would be back out to fit the screen that afternoon. Got a call from Autoglass at around 2:20 to say that it looked like the right seal had arrived and within an hour, the same technician was back out to me to finally complete the job! What an extremely poor service from these 'Experts'. Next time I will go directly to my insurance company and get it done through their own preferred supplier - it will be a lot quicker and easier!!!
Just to say that both the office staff and the techinicans that came out to do the replacement, were both very polite and helpful and I was offered an appointment on the same day of reporting the damage, although unfortunately after inspection the windscreen had to be replaced, rather than repaired, but nevertheless the windscreen was replaced within 48 hours of the damage occuring - that's pretty good going!
My husband backed into my car and shattered the rear screen on a Friday evening and we were going away for the weekend. we were told by our insurers that they could not arrange an appointment until Monday morning. it was agreed that we would be contacted by mobile between 8 +10 am.
On saturday afternoon our neighbour rang to say that the repariers had arrived and needed an immediate payment of £75. Our neighbour very kindly agreed to pay this and we paid him back.

Using Autoglass takes all the hassle out of repairing or replacing a windscreen. I have used them a number of times now and each time their ability to agree the repair directly with the insurance company, carry it out under cover and at a time that suits me has simplified the whole process. On top of that their attention to detail in moving all my windscreen stickers to the same positions on the new screen is very much appreciated. You drive in with a damaged screen, return later and drive out with a lovely clean new one, the insurance all taken care of, and you're left wondering "was it really that simple?". The answer is "Yes".
