Got my goods but had to chase for updates

Ordered several Sonos speakers on Saturday 1st Feb, Sales guys were quick to respond to emails and helped with apply a discount code.

No update on order status so called customer service several times:

Tuesday AM - couldn't find my order, promised a call back but no one did
Tuesday PM - Still couldn't find my order, promised a call back but no one did
Wednesday PM - Apparently Sonos kit is sent straight from their supplier, mentioned something about my packet being with courier but couldn't advise more than this. Got an email at the end of the day stating they were still on the phone to Supplier.

Thursday 6th - Without confirmation of delivery I took a gamble and stayed home as AVBristol don't open till 10am and no reply to my emails. Called when they opened and they forwarded a tracking URL which didn't work. Half the order turned up with an invoice from their suppliers stating the Play 1 speakers wouldn't be in stock until 10th.

Thursday 13th - Sent emails earlier in the week to follow up remain items but again no response to emails. Called customer service and told items are out for delivery today which i'll now miss and need to arrange for another day to stay home.

Overall, not a bad experience but its been seriously let down by a lack of basic communications about my order status.

Top of the line service

Live in the States and ordered an Audiolab M-DAC. AV Bristol was very accommodating and the payment and shipping were seamless. Box arrived promptly and in great shape.
I forgot to ask for 110V on the power, but this was easily solved with a $20 UK to US transformer. The DAC delivers the beautiful sound I was expecting.

Give AV Bristol a high recommendation.

Great product and excellent service

Ordered the Sennheiser RS160 cordless headphones at 13.15 on a Friday and they arrived before 9am on the Saturday morning. Less than 24 hours and free delivery! The product was well packaged and competitively priced. Would definitely recommend and will use them again. Many thanks.

Managed to stay on top of messy situation and eventually deliver

Given that the Sonosgate issue broke out over the festive season and the likely scores of people who took up the erroneous offer, AV Bristol at least kept in regular contact and came up with a practical solution - it was still the cheapest product I could find online even with the reduced discount.. But it should have been the case that the online purchasing automatically rejected, rather than accepted, orders placed with the code for Sonos products. Ordering process (second time around) was fine with quick delivery and the product works fine. Would use AV Bristol again.

Very bad customer service

It seems that these people are happy to take your money up front for stock that they do not have available and have no idea as to when the items will ever be delivered. 2 phone calls, and 3 e-mails later i have still not even received an apology or explanation as to whether i will ever receive the goods i have paid for. 24 days and counting, i should have used an alternative supplier. Simple customer service and communication goes a long way.

Don't advertise what you cannot supply!!

These guys actually look pretty professional so after paying it was disappointing to be told that what I had ordered was not actually available anymore. However, to be fair, the card refund was processed very quickly and they were very apologetic so no harm done. My advice to them would simply be to keep the website current to avoid people ordering items which they no longer supply.

Dug a big hole for themselves over Sonos discounts on Boxing Day.

Did their best to resolve it without taking the usual cancel all orders approach.

Excellent service, genuine & helpful staff - highly recommended.

Can't recommend the shop and service highly enough. I bought a Sonos Sub at a discounted rate that could not be honoured but the Manager and team did their very best to support a compromise which I was very happy with. Great communication throughout, very professional and will definitely be going back for further purchases.

Extremely disappointed, very unprofessional!

1. Awful customer service - earliest e-mail response in 2 days, even after several emails from me.
2. Misleading stock information on the website - the item I chose was marked "In Stock in 2-5 Days". After contacting the retailer about the status of the order, I was told that the equipment is out of stock and delivery will be in 1 month earliest. Eventually I received it 4 months later after tons of emails.
3. Extremely long delivery time - I ordered my equipment on 26th August, and was charged the whole amount. Received it on 30th December (4 months later).
4. The delivered equipment had few minor scratches.

My advice, choose another retailer and save yourself the troubles.

Very good communication and service.

I bought a Sonos play 3 from AVBristol, although there was some confusion regarding their Boxing Day sale (in which sonos was excluded) they communicated regularly about what was being done to resolve the issues and I received my Sonos Play 3 faster than some other companies were quoting for delivery. I would definitely buy from this company again in the future.

A simple order has turned into a complete headache

Tried to make an order, in response to a special offer that I received. After having to cancel my original order then having to re-order, the first of two items has finally been delivered after 2 weeks. But it was sent to my billing address, not my delivery address. This whole process has turned out to be incredibly frustrating and I just wished that I had ordered elsewhere.

I think it is only fair to point out the reasons behind having to re-order were not entirely our fault as all Sonos products excluded in our T&Cs.

We advised all clients that purchased Sonos deliveries would commence from January 6th so as of today this has not been two weeks. The Billing address/Delivery address scenario could have been avoided, we have asked the customer how he would like to proceed but am yet to receive a response.

We have tried to contact you to resolve this issue, however if you would prefer to cancel and obtain a full refund this is no problem.

Customer care at it's best

AV Bristol suffered the slings and arrows of outrageous Internet fortune recently and were inundated with orders at a price which they couldn't possibly fulfil. They dealt with it in exemplary fashion, kept customers informed and offered the products at a the best discount available to them. In my case, the item arrived promptly, coupled with good communications from AV.
I have no doubt that they would be a great outfit to deal with for any AV products.
