I've been a big fan of Aveda for many years, however, I've become much more wary of the company since it was bought by Estee Lauder. While the marketing of the company extolls its commitment to health and environment, not all of the products follow suit. Recently, I threw away around $200 in hair product because they contained harmful chemicals like alcohol, parabens and sulfates.
