Terrible customer service

I placed an order for a stroller on the website, it was down as in stock when I purchased, shortly after payment for the order they emailed that there was a "problem" with my card payment and to contact my card issuer, I did this and there was no problem with my card. I then rang bambino direct and they said that in the intervening period someone else had purchased my item and it was no longer in stock! Clearly they created this "problem" with my card to cover for the lack of stock.
I read plenty of reviews of this company and ignored the bad ones as the price was cheap, never again, I have now placed a (successful) order with kiddicare....should have paid the £8 extra and gone there in the first place, never again! Avoid at all costs!

fast delivery and easy to order

I ordered a character bed for my nephew and it was delivered fast and the ordering service was so simple. great service will buy again from this company.

Excellent Service, Excellent product, Excellent price!

Honestly, we found this site just by chance, while googling the buggy we wanted (the new loola) and it was cheapest by far here. The buggy itself is fantastic. And the service and communication was fantastic. Hopefully this is the last stroller we will have to buy but I will definitely be recommending bambino direct to all of my friends and family. Cant fault a single thing! Thanks :)

The worst customer service I have ever experienced!

My mother in law bought me a Graco Stadium duo pushchair at the end of August last year for the arrival of our second baby in November and to use with our 2 year old daughter. I had bought products from bambino direct before and was happy with the service and price so decided to buy the pushchair from there. On the arrival of our son I had only used the pushchair a handful of times before the pushchair broke. When using the pushchair I reclined the front seat to allow my daughter to sleep and the seat was then stuck in the recline position. I phoned bambino direct to report this towards the end of January. Over a week later on 3/2/14 I received an e mail stating my return request had been approved. After a very long wait and numerous phone calls and e mails trying to chase what was happening the pushchair was finally collected on 27/2/14 after already being without the use of a pushchair for over a month. I rang bambino direct as in previous telephone conversations they had mentioned the loan of a double puschair whilst mine was being fixed for a deposit of £20. The deposit was taken and I was sent an email confirmation confirming the delivery of a Phil and Teds Verve on 6/3/14. A delivery was made and I opened it up only to find my Graco pushchair still broken! I rang bambino direct to be told that Graco had tested it to find no fault. Graco were led to believe it was the opening and closing of the pushchair that was faulty despite me sending photos of the fault and a clear description to bambino direct. I was then told that it could be up to another 28 days for them to fix the puschair and someone would contact me to arrange a pick up of the pushchair. I enquired as to where the Phil and Teds replacement was only to be told that they had given this to another customer and they had no other double buggies available! By this point I was fuming at the poor customer service I had received and how long this matter was dragging on. I requested to speak with a manager and spoke to Asif, I explained how disappointed I was with the service and explained how difficult it was to have two small children and not have a pushchair for over a month and he told me that it could be up to another month without one. I asked for a refund but Asif said that they had to try and fix it first. You had the opportunity to fix the item when it was collected the first time round. I was told the faulty graco pushchair would be collected on 10/03/14, I waited in all day for yet again no body to come and collect the pushchair! I have now been told 13/3/14, but I won't hold my breath!

Looking into this I am entitled to a refund under the Sale of Goods Act if a product is faulty. This matter has been a complete farce and the customer service has been appalling.

I simply cannot waste my precious maternity leave waiting for your company to send this item back and forth. My children will not be house bound when we are coming into Spring.

I will not be purchasing anything from bambino direct again and have advised all my friends and family to do the same.

Still Waiting!!!!

I ordered an oyster buggy and was firstly told would arrive 20th feb then this was postponed to 28th feb the then 14th March and now its been postponed to the 25 Mar.

I cannot believe how long I am having to wait.

I keep checking my emails and just expecting another email to say a new delivery date.

Poor after sales when things go wrong

BT Video Baby Monitor 1000 stopped working after 4 months use, well within the 1 year warranty. For an item that I consider essential, especially as our 3 month old had just had a round of vaccinations and therefore we were very anxious to be able to monitor him during his sleep, I was hoping to get a service similar to that when buying direct from Amazon - a replacement unit being immediately dispatched and a collection of the faulty unit arranged at no charge. However, after contacting Bambino Direct I was informed that I have to return the item at my expense (not a cheap exercise when you have to also insure it during transit) and after that it would be reviewed and, as it failed outside of 28 days, would be returned to BT for repair. This could take anything up to 28 days, with no guarantee on how long it would be. This is the bare minimum as required by law for distance selling and consumer rights, so I would rate the after sales customer service as poor, the bare minimum does not count as good customer service. In contrast, I took the baby monitor into Mothercare, whom I had spent money with in the past for furniture and prams, etc, but did not buy this item from. I explained my predicament and they were more than happy to exchange the item there and then - that is what I would call excellent customer service. So if buying something that you consider an essential item, do not buy it from here. Buy it from somewhere that you can get a good customer after sales service should things go wrong, something to be said for bricks and mortar shops in situations like this.

Very cheap very fast easy peasy happy mummy

Ordered all my sons new monsters inc bedroom stuff was half the price of anywhere else eBay Argos etc then within an hour had a dispatch email with tracking info then was delivered the next day emails through out process keeping me up to date very happy will defo use again

A Great Service

We bought an Ebac 3850E dehumidifier at a very good price. Ordered it at tea time and it arrived the next day. We ordered by phone and the call taker was very helpful, and friendly. Many thanks for the great service.

Excellent speedy service!

I ordered a Maclaren pushchair over Christmas and received it very quickly on the 27th December. I was kept informed of my order progress at all times and I received email and text updates of the delivery, including an hourly delivery slot. Not only that but it was by far the cheapest price. Very impressed!

Worst Company I've ever dealt with!

I was after a new pram for my one year old as I was using a Cosatto Stroller. I wanted a three-wheeler that was light, easy to move and one where the seat could face out or in at the parent.

I paid for the pram I wanted, a Koochi three-wheeler that had just been released. It was £270 for the complete order as I ordered something else along with it for around £5.00.

A few days after I paid, I received an email to say they were unsure when the item would come back in stock and I cancelled my order as I'd read on the main Koochi website it'd be after January 2014 and I wanted a new pram as soon as possible.

I originally paid through amazon as my debit card doesn't work online, and I was issue a refund through that for ALL items purchased.

The cancellation date was 15/12/13. OVER 12 weeks ago. Fast forward to yesterday and I receive an invoice for £262, and another email to let me know it's on its way.

I am so far from impressed, there's not even words. I'm absolutely seething. I'm been charged on my credit card that I hardly ever use, so I'm confused as to why they have those details and how they've managed to charge me after all these months, especially when I paid through Amazon. The amount that's been taken out of my account has made me go over the agreed credit limit, so I'm expecting that I'll be charged £12 for that by my bank.

So, they've charged me for items I didn't want, three months after the fact, with no contact in-between, and AND, they've taken money from my account WITHOUT my permission.

Every time I send an e-message, it gets ignored. The e-messages from December that stated my order was cancelled is missing from my account.

I'm just waiting for the poor delivery guy to turn up so I can refuse the pram and have it returned to the sender. I have half a mind to go to their shop. >_>

Stressful

I ordered the most delightful looking moses basket and stand from Bambino Direct on 3rd January, foolishly thinking that I had received a great deal and that I had ordered well in advance of due date.

Wrong!

The basket was in stock when ordered and stand would follow. The next day I am informed of new delivery date for 5th February for both items, ok disappointing but still a month before baby due do not overly concerned.

Receive notification on 6th feb to advise new delivery date of 20th Feb! No explanation given yet payment taken!

When I queried this I was told there was no guarantee that the new delivery date would be met either! Whilst I have the option of cancelling this is not what I want to do as I had totally fallen in love with this item at the price it was ordered at and it is still for sale on website so why can't u be sent my item! Baby will be arriving with no bed at this rate!

I firmly believe that there was an error with price and that is why delivery keeps stalling so that I will eventually cancel order!

This seems to be common practice from the other reviews I have read!

I am still awaiting an emessage response from Bambino in this matter! Could really do without this stress before baby born!

I ordered buggy for my soon to be newborn on Friday evening, no hassle there. Received an email saying delivery would be on Monday, wow amazing great company (or so I thought) received buggy, hubby went to put it together but catch on carry cot part was broken and also inch sized hole in shopping basket. So packaged it up and emailed bambino direct, got a prompt reply saying I needed to take pictures of faults. So I did that and filled in return form. And I've heard nothing since that was almost 2 weeks ago. I've emailed every day but still no reply. I'm 2/3 weeks from giving birth with nowhere to put my baby. My husband or I don't have the disposable income to order another as we saved to buy this one. I could really do without the added stress, this is meant to be a happy time and yet I'm worrying about how to get a replacement. Would never order again from this company. They were quick to take my money and deliver but that's where it ends. You would think any company involving children would have high standards.... NOT THIS ONE.

I was excited when I received my pram the maclaren xt as I got it cheaper from bambino direct than anywhere else it also arrived quite a few days earlier than I thought it would which was a nice surprise, however when I received the pram the box was half open and had tape all over it not a major problem as it's for myself and not a gift another issue I had was on one of the handles the silver colour had worn off not something I would expect from a new item and would have sent it back if I wasn't in desperate need of a pram apart from this I am happy with my purchase and would order from here again.
