I'm very satisfied about my order by Bambino Direct (contact, delivery).
The only thing which has desappointed me is that it was not possible to pay by credit or debit card for delivery abroad. Only by money transfer : tax was 60€ by my bank...
This was the cheapest place that i've found Lego storage bricks and for an additional 40p I had it delivered next day (still worked out cheaper than the standard delivery on a lot of sites).
I was impressed as I've seen some old negative reviews so was a bit wary of ordering but I can't fault this order. Will definitely use them again.
Im still waiting for my delivery. The company you use left a card with no details written on just the basic information. It was not left in my mail box just thrown onto floor in my porch. want me to wait in all day for delivery no time slot given, so could miss second delivery if on school run!!!!
I ordered a bed barrier at an excellent price. Unfortunately they told me it would be at least two weeks to deliver. I chose to cancel and got confirmation the next morning. Refund to bank to follow.
Pleased with no hassle service.
The delivery by Yodel was atrocious - they claimed we weren't in when we were, didn't leave a calling card when they delivered elsewhere, and didn't update their tracking to say they had delivered.
The after-sales service from BambinoDirect in this situation was excellent, especially from Liz who quickly handled my anger, agreeing that I could send the goods back if I wanted to. The result is I kept them. So nice to have good service from a callcentre, and I am really happy with the goods.
I have had to chase my order every step of the way. I ordered 3 cups from them for my little one, along with other bits. When ordering, if the option had been available, I'd have chosen 'next day', but only standard was available and that didn't have an estimate (eg. 3-5 days or anything, so I guessed it would be about that and kept my fingers crossed!)...
I had to email them a couple of days after the order was placed as I still hadn't been notified of despatch, and was wondering what was going on. They then replied almost instantly telling me they'd run out of the cups (why mark them as in stock!?) and asking if I wanted to cancel the entire order -- way to make sales LOL -- to which I responded asking them if they had the other colour in stock, and to just change it to them instead. They messaged back again telling me that was fine and it would be despatched soon.
I then waited for 3 more days and didn't get an email to tell me it had left their premises, so I emailed again. I was then told the same thing as before (that the cup was out of stock), so I asked if they had even read the previous messages. Evidently someone went and had a dig through and emailed back telling me it hadn't been changed and now they only had 1 of the other colour cups in stock. Arghhhh!
So now I'm sat here having had a delivery estimate email for all of my items due to be arriving on 30.05.12, then FINALLY received a despatch notification for the items that have been changed and amended as suited them (thanks for that...) and noticed that one of my items -- the most important one -- is now awaiting despatch.
I've just sent yet another email asking why the most important item hasn't left the warehouse, despite its supposed delivery date being tomorrow.
I'm yet to receive a refund from the items that they apparently didn't have in stock. No 'goodwill gesture' has been offered for the effort I've had to put in chasing my order, the items that they gave away to other customers instead of me... I'm not a happy customer!
Needless to say I won't be ordering again.
I ordered a baby bouncer and a pack of muslin cloths from this company last week. Got notification of despatch....... and a few days later an email from yodel: "your parcel is out for delivery" - from Newton Abbot. To Plymouth. Where they have a depot. I'm thinking "OK, never mind" - I work from home, and I was waiting for other couriers that day anyway. Besides, perhaps the staff at the Newton Abbot depot are more honest and less likely to damage the parcel.
Later on in the day, the yodel van turns up with a parcel. It's the muslin squares. "Parcel 1 of 2" the label says. "Dunno," shrugs the driver, "I only have one here." So I start ringing Bambino Direct. They can only tell me that the first parcel has been delivered, and the second is "out for delivery". Can they please contact yodel and find out? Apparently not. Can they get an ETA? No, not part of the service. By this point, I'm wondering if it is a company, or a one-man band with a virtual call centre.
Anyway - second parcel turned up today. Just as well I was in - I wasn't expecting it. The box wasn't even wrapped. It was dented and scuffed, and wet, with the label stuck directly to it. The contents appear ok - but the pleasure of receiving a parcel is definitely missing.
Regretfully, I will not order from this company again unless they improve the shipping arrangements.
10 days after placing my order i received my babies 3 in 1 pram could not be happier with the service seeing as i was worried about all the bad reviews about this website i myself found it GREAT and will definitely be ordering from there again great price great service Victoria the Netherlands
I placed a big order of items to be sent to France, including bulky items such as a high chair and table seat along with sleeping bags, sheets, toys and shoes. The service I received was excellent, the lady who dealt with me did everything in her power to ensure that I got the best possible price for shipping, and it was also delivered very fast. I would definitely use Bambino Direct again.
I purchased a tinylove mobile from Bambini for my brothers 4 week daughter. The price was very competitive and the delivery charge was very reasonable. My brother and his wife were delighted with the present and my niece will hopefully enjoy it once she is moved into her own room. Bambino direct offered an easy to use ordering page and the item was dispatched the same day and arrived the day after which was very impressive. I would recommend this company and would order from them in the future.
It is absolutely beautiful furniture which should stand the test of time. Worth the money spent. Only slight problem was that there were a couple of the nuts missing, however this was soon rectified when the local hardware store were able to supply them at no cost!
Despite numerous emails and a phone call in so called business hours my cot worth over £200 was delivered on the wrong day hence I was at work. It was left with a random person in the next estate, who I didn't know and no delivery card was left at my house to say it had even been delivered. Luckily these were genuine people who advised me it had been delivered.
Bambino direct have ignored my emails and are clearly a sub standard online company. Never using them again. Whilst Kiddisave deliver the next day and send two emails with delivery times to the exact hour of delivery to ensure you are in, just an example of a professional business.
I bought a pair of fitted sheets for a cot and when they arrived, they were far too big. I tried one on our mattress, which is still in it's plastic covering, and folded it back into the packaging. After making 4 telephone calls and 2 unanswered emails, they eventually replied saying that they are refusing my return due to the sheet being tested and for 'higene reasons'. Absolutely ludicrous and I am now left with 2 sheets that don't fit.
I will never order from them again - don't do it!
I finally received the item but with a lot of delay. I ordered on the 24th December and arrived in February. To start with the communication was ok, I was told that the item was delayed a couple of times. However at some point I was told that, since I had cancelled the order, I was not going to be charged for it. I immediately contacted the company to tell them that I still wanted the order. The called me straight away, apologised, the order went through and I received the order within one or two days. I love the item and the communication was good, with except the cancellation. I wanted my item for little Xmas (6th Jan) which is when we give the presents for Xmas, but ended up giving it to my son for his first birthay last week and he loves it. I am going to order another one for my nephew.
I ordered a pushchair from bambino direct beginning of January which I was assured would be with me within 7 days. Several phone calls and emails later, I have still yet to receive my order despite them having my money for over 8 weeks. I have subsequently cancelled and gone to John Lewis, which is where I should have gone to in the first place. Never again will I order from this company.
I ordered an Oyster travel system by Babystyle from Bambino Direct in October 2011 and I admit that the price was good, but their after sales service has been truly awful:
- Informing me that every part of my order was ready for collection only for me to make the two hour round trip to their Huddersfield warehouse to find that there were items missing, despite me calling to check! (Yes, they do free delivery, but only specify a day, let's face it, who can take a day off for the delivery of a buggy??). This almost happened twice, but I triple checked the next time and narrowly avoided another wasted journey.
- Took three months from my original order to receive everything I had paid for, this would have taken longer if I had not pestered them!
- They tried to tell me that an item I had not received was not part of the 2011 stock only 2012, even though it was stated quite clearly in the Babystyle 2011 brochure, I received this eventually without an apology.
- Returning an item was made extremely difficult as you cannot speak directly to their returns department. The stitching had come away on the seat unit; this took weeks to resolve, with me having to prompt them for a response at every stage, again, no apology received.
- Now I have a problem collapsing the buggy chassis and they have given very vague instructions as to how I might do it, but no one is prepared to give me clarification. The manufacturer are meant to be collecting the chassis on Wednesday, but when I asked if I was to receive a replacement in the meantime, the answer was no!
My advice? Steer clear of this company. Also, Bambino Direct might want to steer clear of Babystyle, or be more prepared to deal with their shortcomings when customers are receiving faulty or substandard goods. I mean, do they honestly think that it is acceptable to leave me without a buggy while they sort out a problem which is not my fault? It's absolutely shocking.
Sometimes it's better to pay a small premium to guarantee good service; I have certainly learnt my lesson.
After being let down by two other companies for the same item (a nappy bucket - how hard can it be?!) I ordered from Bambino Direct hoping it would be third time lucky. I opted for the standard delivery rather than next day although standard was £2.50 with next day only £2.95. The items arrived the next day and were exactly as ordered and the prices were very good too. I wouldn't hesitate to use Bambino Direct again in future!
Ordered a pram and cot bed and was told max 2 wks for pram and 4 for cotbed, things happen i know but 8 wks later still nothing, when i phone i get no joy and only get annoying e-mails to say delayed even longer!!!
Cancelled order today...

After a long search for my daughters next car seat we evebtually decided on the britax kidfix sict. Bambino was the cheapest out of all companys and I paid for next day delivery as only £2.95 extra. I ordered it at 4.45pm and it was here and fitted before 4pm the following day. I will certainly be recommending them to my friends after this great experience.
the first item they sent me was completely wrong. a bouncer looks nothing like a pushchair in my opinion (i ordered a pushchair). when i finally recieved my oushchair, the box it came in was near enough destroyed. couldnt be more dissapointed.
I ordered a nursing chair beg oct, which didnt turn up til mid nov, it was the wrong colour for the nursery so asked to return it, had to wait for customer service to contact me which took 2 weeks then was told i would have to arrange with supplier for collection(another 2 weeks) to which they said i would have to pay £25, I looked online and found i could get it delivered cheaper, so they said thats fine. I arranged the collection and kept on at bambino about when the money was going to be refunded it finally went into my bank on 19 jan, minus the £25 return charge(which I had arranged and paid for myself), fuming!!!! So I sent them emessage and have heard nothing and no more money has gone into my account. I will stick with kiddicare in future, never had any trouble returning anything with them.
