After a bumpy start, a great finish

I already had a corporate card with Barclaycard but I could only use it with one supplier. I requested a new credit card for regular purchases but heard nothing for a few weeks. I spoke to their call centre in the Phillipines chasing who were not that helpful. I wrote an email to their executive team and Rachel Bew-Hinson took over. The transformation was astonishing. She rang me back quickly, she followed up with regular emails and phone calls to ensure the account was opened swiftly. All of her promises were kept. It has really restored my confidence in Barclaycard and bravo to Rachel for offering such great service. She is a credit to the company. Many thanks!

Debt problems and there charging interest despite a debt management plan

Had a Barclaycard credit card for a few years and after facing financial difficulty we had to turn to help from a debt management company.The plan agreed to pay them £5 per month. The people at Barclaycard are still charging interest and they are the only one of our creditors to do so. Everybody else has been great

Utterly Rubbish!

I have been with barclays for a good amount of time and used to process so many payments through EPDQ. None of the invoices were received, I been calling their paid numbers to get our invoices sent as the tax year is near, 2 months and they are still not here, every time I am told a different story.

Plus, I have asked a simple question and the lady i was speaking was so arrogant that she asked me to read the manual than just helping me check the right option.

Complete rubbish, expensive, and truly bizzare customer support, I will be shifting our card payments to a new vendor, cardsave or paymentsense or someone else.

Waste of time, money and space for nothing!

Disputes process is a waste of time

I bought an item online some months ago. The item was described as new but was actually used. The vendor accepted this and promised to have the item collected and to provide a full refund. All of these promises were made via email. The vendor messed me around for some time, never collected the item and never provided a refund so I raised a dispute with BarclayCard. After all, that's the whole point of using a credit card to shop online isn't it?

To cut a long story short, it's now 4 months later. The vendor claim they can't refund my money because of Barclays disputes process and I've lost the will to live by being passed around overseas call centers only to be told that I have to put my issue in writing. Seriously? In writing? What about this magic new communications medium that the cool kids are talking about?

I've concluded that the whole point of this process is to waste so much of my time that it's simply not worth trying to get my money back. I'd have been quicker taking the vendor to the small claims court which begs the question 'what is the point of BarclayCard?'. I'd cancel mine if I could face listening to their hold music for another hour or so.

You make it too hard to claim back the reward points!!

Went from Goldfish to Barclaycard. It was easy to collect points when it was goldfish. You could always see this on the statements. This is now hidden on the BC statements so you cannot track to see if it is correct. How to claim? you have to call an premium number that charges you. Call them only to listen on end to options then whenb you get through they say this is the wrong department. They then transfer you to another number where you are put on hold for ages before cutting your line dead asking you to call back later, 20 min on a chargable call, and nothing acheived. Time to change credit card ! Santandar offer beter rewards anyway up to 3% where Barclays reward is 0.5%

Apalling customer service

If I could I would give no stars for this. Tried to pay off balance on card 3 weeks ago and still trying while the interest just adds up. Spent a fortune on phone calls to customer service, received a couple of emails telling me someone would phone me and almost a fortnight later still waiting on the never coming phone call. I eventually gave up again and phoned them in yet another failed attempt to pay off the card and after 17 mins I got transferred to someone "higher up" in customer service who offered to freeze the interest until the start of April when I would be able to pay off the card (apparently you can only make 2 payments in any one month before their system won't allow another payment on the account), even though my attempts to pay failed they still count as payments. She then asked me if I was happy with the outcome, which I was not as it did not sort the problem as I could still not pay off my card and no one from customer service had called me when they said they would, she then told me she could not freeze the interest and my complaint would be sent to another department. So Barclay card was trying to buy me off for a few pounds of interest. No way. I then received an email 10 days ago saying someone would be in touch in 7 days, still no phone call, email or letter. Atrocious service. I tried on the 2nd April to pay off card and once again was unsuccessful. Dont understand why I can't pay off the balance, I have enough money in my account, my details are up to date. I just want to get rid of my card debt but Barclay card are holding me to randsom by now allowing this and charging me more interest every day, then not phoning when they say they will. As soon as I can I will be cancelling this account. Don't touch Barclay card, their customer service is rubbish.
