Poor service, was advised receive within 72 hrs of purchase, delivered - delivery driver didnt even attempt to deliver took straight to the post office so no calling card, took 14 emails to both barker and stonehouse and parcel force to track down, then I had to collect and carry it home - not home delivery - very poor indeed - this is my second attempt to order online from barker and stonehouse, and will never give myself the displeasure of doing so again
Website very easy to use. Can choose delivery or pick up at nominate store. I choose pick up at store. Transaction was very smooth and the item was delivered to my local store in the expected time scale. The 'handover' in store was quick. Very happy with product. Good price too.
I spotted a very cool piece of furniture at a friends house... Then spotted it in a magazine.

As above. Ordered online, was text-ed when it was ready for collection and when we went to get it there were no problems at all. Gentleman in store carried it out to our car so service very good. One slight downside was the tracking website was down for 10 days so could not check progress of our order when I wanted to. Only a very small criticism though!!
I ordered two vases, one was in stock and I was told the other would take up to 5 weeks to order and be delivered. I eventually rang and was told that the one that was in stock could be delivered straight away, and it came within 72 hours. However the second one, which was for a present, took three weeks to arrive so I ended up buying an alternative present.
Both vases were lovely but I was very disappointed that had I not rung I would have had to wait three weeks for the one that was in stock as well as the other one.
Made an order and was advised my item would be delivered in 3 weeks. 3 weeks passed and after contacting them I was told it would be another 2 months until I received my order. Not what I expected when I placed my original order. Nothing offered to resolve the issue, only the option of cancellation and refund which would leave me in a worse position. Poor customer service. Still awaiting my rug!
I have made 4 orders since July 13. All 4 have been extremely delayed. For example an 8 wk lead time on some chairs turned into 4 months. A 3 week lead time on a rug is now quoted as 13 weeks, even though the rug is still advertised on your website with a 3 week 'custom made' delivery. Very, very poor customer service. The people on the phone are nice and helpful but cannot provide the service advertised. They and their customers are let down by what is clearly a dysfunctional company who con the customer into purchases with knowingly innacurate delivery schedules. I would not bother again, it's a good job you are not on trip advisor, you would be swamped by poor reviews! Rant over. I bet I don't win the £100.
Ordering and payment was easy. emails and texts kept us updated at all times and the delivery process was speedy and efficient. Would recommend this company for both quality and customer care

They telephoned to say when the suite would be delivered and that the driver would ring one hour before arrival. It arrived to time covered in cloth to avoid damage and was erected and put in the place I chose, Would not hesitate to order from them again.
It was the 1st time I have purchased from b&s,they phoned me when they received my order to arrange delivery and they delivered on time and assemble the item. The delivery men were very friendly and professional, I was very impressed with the whole experience. I would defiantly recommend barker and stonehouse

Why send out a feedback form for a bespoke product that hasn't even been delivered yet ?
The product was exactly what we required. Our order was dealt with swiftly and courteously. The delivery service was also very good, on time and we found the delivery men helpful. They assembled and placed the table just where we wanted it. We were pleased to see two delivery men, as it was a two man job. They were smart and polite.
Ordered online on the 25th September, 1 item was out of stock and expected to arrive on the 10th October. No communication on the 10th regarding the order and the out of stock items. Phone call made to enquire made on the 10th, the goods had not arrived into Barker and Stonehouse, and an exact date could not be given, but they were expected fairly soon.
As of the 14th there was still no update, so I emailed to request that the item be cancelled and the remaining items be delivered. There was no response to this email. The email was re-sent on the 15th, and a reply was received stating that it was being passed to another department. It is now the 17th and there has been no refund, no phone calls, no emails, no communication from anyone.
Poor communication and poor service from Barker and Stonehouse. I will no doubt have to make further phone calls tomorrow to attempt to resolve the issues and push the order through. This should not be how it is done. Barker and Stonehouse need to work on their communication and customer service if they want to succeed in a competitive online market. Not the simple, hassle free transaction I was hoping for....
New dining suite delivered after a 20 week wait. I have new cream carpet in dining room. Delivery men had heavy black boots on. No plastic shoe covers at all. I complained to b and s which made no difference when they came back to replace table top, same thing occurred.
New coffee table delivered 2 weeks ago and still no shoe covers on a a rainy day. Not impressed
We love our new bed - good quality and a very reasonable price.
Placed order with 6in stock suposidley. After 2 phone calls to see where the delivery was visited store to find out the stock was damaged. Had to cancel order. Will never again place an order with you.
Very pleased with the service: ordered large armchair online, received a courteous phone call to arrange suitable delivery date. All communication was backed up by confirmation e-mails. On the date received a phone call from delivery team with time update and received the item well packaged and in perfect condition. The price was quite good too! Will not hesitate to order again.
I had a great deal from Barker and Stonehouse. The web site was really easy to navigate and the follow-up service was very efficient. Delivery of furniture was prompt and well managed by pleasant and polite staff.
All staff we communicated with, both in store and regarding a further telephone order, were very pleasant, polite and helpful. Two items of oak furniture did arrive with very minor 'splinter' damage but a technician came the following day and you can not see his repair.
For one small item was it worth it........... We had to chase the delivery which was overdue. Spoke to advisor who said I would get text to tell me it was at Knaresbro ready to pick up. No text came as they sent it to the wrong number. I was travelling to the area & rang the store. "Oh yes It's here". Went over to pick it up. Upstairs & downstairs trying to find staff... Eventually found someone ..... Drove round to back ....... They couldn't locate it, I almost blew a gasket Someone came from somewhere & found it. Drove off
Would I order from them again........ Doubtful

Ordered a wall plaque about a month ago, the money was taken out of my account the next day. Waited a week for the delivery, no sign of it, so I phoned them up,only to be told it was out of stock. They have offered the money back but have told me the product will be back in stock soon
I ordered 2 clear Filia bastools to sit side by side under my breakfast bar. One is perfect with a clear seat which is exactly the same as the one I viewed at the Battersea store. The other one is not clear and has a yellow tinge to it and is therefore different from the first one and as they sit side by side they are clearly differnet. I am very disappointed as drove 20 miles to pick them up from the Croydon warehouse. I am still waiting for Barker and Stonehouse to let me know what they are going to do about it.
I bought a rug from barker and stonehouse and when it was delivered I realised that the rug was not the same as the image on the website. Basically, the pattern on the carpet was not the full pattern that was advertised. It meant that the rug was not as colourful as I thought it was going to be. I would not buy another rug from the website and have told friends and family about the false advertising.
Order completed within given timescale but incorrect item was delivered. Delivery men were polite and took item away and said they would immediately report error.
24 hours later I had had no contact/ apology from company and had to phone them.
At this time awaiting confirmation of how long it will be before correct item is delivered.
Now have been advised that it will have to wait for re order so another 3 week/month. Highly inconvenient as old furniture was given away on confirmation of delivery date.
Further disappointment. Store now has (hopefully correct) sideboard but I have to wait another 10 days before they can deliver.
We recently bought a number of items from Barker and Stonehouse but due to poor timing on our part, got there an hour before closing. We were unable to make all the transactions, but the staff agreed to hold the prices until the following day. Very helpful staff, who helped with our decisions without being intrusive.
thought the customer srevice in store was very good.Butg every time i want to check delivery,the system is always down.getting very annoyed at this,as we would like to start the bedroom,and add furniture.

Desk much cheaper than other stores. Delivery was an hour late with no update/call despite stating this would occur but most London deliveries are late these days so I expected it. Delivery men were very well mannered and careful.
Our EA coffee table arrived on time, carried in by the driver to our desired room and unwrapped so there was no need to dispose of any large packaging. We are very pleased with the service and quality of the item.
