Met with Sam in the Finchley Road store for a design consultation and was really happy with her ideas for a complete renovation. I was informed of their 4 hour time slots and the 2 man service where they deliver to a room in your property; this suited me as I am not yet living in the property and was at home with a 5 week old baby. I received a phone call a couple of days later arranging my delivery of tiles. I had not been told that the tiles come direct from the manufacturer and they only give you a specified day for delivery and will only deliver kerbside ( I had purchased 26 boxes! ).
A couple of weeks after I had my bathroom installed a tap broke. I contacted the manager last Tuesday to arrange an exchange and was asked to email some photographs of the tap which I did the following day. I emailed the manager on Friday and left messages on the stores answering machine enquiring about the exchange and received no response. Finally spoke to the manager on Saturday who said she would have an answer on Tuesday; rang the store on Tuesday and was informed that the manager is on holiday until the 15th. Spoke to another member of staff who said she would look into it and get back to me; she didn't.
Gave up contacting the store and rang customer services last night who promised that I would be contacted in the morning. I'm still waiting!
It's hard to tell if (York) Bathstore is an outright scam operation or if they are just utterly incompetent.
I purchased several items and their installation from York Bathstore. Before my order Bathstore's installations person came over to take measurements and to make sure that correct items would be ordered. After the visit the items were ordered and delivered.
Soon after the installations started, it turned out that about half of the items Bathstore delivered could not be installed: they were the wrong size, and as it turned out, Bathstore didn't even have the correct sized ones available. Some mistakes were also made in installing the items that actually could be installed.
Installation mistakes were eventually fixed, but getting it done took a month of me going over to the store each week to complain (could never reach anybody by phone). Receiving a refund for the installations they did not do is a different story – I have not received anything back after waiting for over 2 months. At this point my only option is small claims court.
Shoddy job and hundreds of pounds probably gone forever. I highly recommend you avoid Bathstore.
I wanted a quality bath that would last for years and the Kaldwei Saniform plus ticks all the boxes. The bath is beautifully crafted and contrary to what others say steel baths are not cold and it retains the heat very well. We had a cheap plastic bath before which creaked and my wife and I are more than pleased with our choice. We got this bath from bathstore on the sale with free delivery which was also quick.
If you are looking for a superior bath then I wouldn't hesitate to suggest Kaldwei baths and go for the thicker 3.5 mm ones as they are built to last (but heavy getting upstairs!)

We recently brought all our bathroom furniture, which has been installed and we are very pleased, apart from the illuminated mirror.
Once the mirror was put up and the light came on I noticed a couple of small dots that the light was coming through. I contacted the Milton Keynes store where I brought it and they were kind enough to order me another one. I went to pick the mirror up today to find that there was a great bit chip off the side that the assistant had not noticed and I did. He has kindly ordered me another one which will be here by the end of next week.
The service has been great, but I am rather disappointed with the lack of quality control from the mirror. Hopefully the third one will be of a high standard.
Great quality item at a very competative price
We paid for our new bathroom and installation 2 weeks ago and agreed with the store that delivery would be today 29 November. Despite waiting for the text or e-mail to confirm our 4 hour slot nothing came through. My partner took a day off work especially and now it turns out the delivery has not been booked in by the shop assistant!!!!! There was brilliant customer service up to the point that they got our money - all paid up front which is not the way we normally purchase goods - but now nobody wants to know. I only hope that when the goods finally come and the bathroom is installed, it comes up to standard - time will tell!!!
Web site was very easy to use and had all the information required to make the purchase of Bathroom taps for bath/shower and sink extremely easy.

Not impressed with the after care went into the shop to get a o ring which was missing, just got given a phone number. Later found the tap unable to cover the hole in the basin, their technical dept think its fault with basin so now have to replace, unless "your plumber can do magic". So not fit for purpose
Products that we bought were excellent quality and great value too. The customer service is second to none, even if you have a problem with any products they can't do enough for you. Big thumbs up from us.!!!

No problem placing order was able to choose when I wanted item delivered and delivery company sent me an email and txt giving me a time to expect my delivery , which was between 11& 12 the driver arrived at 11.10 cheerful chap he was too would recommend bath store to a friend and would use them again myself

Richard at the Bathstore Chelmsford branch was extremely helpful, very efficient and organised and obviously works long hours. Everything was settled quickly and kept to schedule. He provides a great service.
Ordering online couldn’t have been easier. Had follow up phone call within a couple of hours from local store to ensure I hadn’t forgotten anything and confirm delivery date. Very happy with service, would definitely recommend.
I have not yet opened our shower screen as I await my fitters who will arrive either tomorrow or Monday, but the packaging was damaged in two places. Hopefully the screen will be fine but I would expect an item that cost circa £500 would be treated with a little more respect.
As far as the ordering and delivery schedule this could not be easier
We've just taken delivery of our wonderful new Touchstone freestanding bath in South West France, and it's glorious. The ordering process online was really easy and as a follow up we had several conversations with the guys at the Guildford branch who helped us sort out the extras we needed. Delivery to the carriers was on time, absolutely no complaints. An all round good service and one I would recommend to anyone.
I purchased a corner shower rack and although some of the Bathstore products may seem a little expensive at first glance the product I received certainly seems to be of excellent quality (although only time will tell I guess) and when you shop around a little you soon find that there might be cheaper options out there (especially on the web), the quality is not always as good as you would hope.
That said, there are definitely very similar products available for more than triple the price.
The great thing was that because I ordered by 2pm it was delivered free the next morning.

We are thrilled with the speedy service we have received from Bathstore. We haven't yet unpackaged our order, just waiting for the weekend. Our delivery team called us with an estimated time of delivery, and then called again later in the day to give us a heads up that they were only twenty minutes away. They were polite, helpful, and courteous. Thank you for the excellent service.

Recently ordered bathroom lighting and mirror online. The delivery was fast and the products arrived safely. Any questions were dealt with by the friendly staff at the store in Leamington. I would highly recommend buying from Bathstore and would do in the future.
I found it quite difficult to find the basin I ordered an accessory for, there wasn only 1 photo meaning I could not see underneath it and this lead to me ordering a towel rail which I can now see is not compatible. Delivery was good but the lack of website details was disappointing and probably would have prevented this error
Bathstore Redditch - full bathroom installation.
We ordered over £1900 worth of full bathroom suite from Redditch store which included a P-bath, shower, thermostatic valve, shower screens, toilet and unit, wash basin etc - the full works. We also purchased over £500 worth of mosaic and stone tiles from a tile store next door to Bathstore. We were offered one of their installers, who estimated the job take 4 days. This was my first worry - 4 days? To fit and tile an entire bathroom?
The installation has been a disaster. Not only is the outside of our home and driveway covered in grout powder, her is a list of things wrong:
Bath not fitted securely - no batons. Just free standing with appallingly messy sealant.
Scratched and split plastic vanity top to the washbasin and toilet
Cracked mirror during installation (fitter claimed he didn't notice he'd broken it)
Bath panel pops out when someone gets in the bath (bath sinks a few mm)
Tiles not properly grouted
Top of tiles at ceiling not grouted at all
Grout not properly washed off tiles
Grout left all over the ceiling
Numerous leaks - thermostatic valve, hot and cold to basin, shower outlet all needed attention
Incorrect use of metal cut off valves - should have been plastic, so they leaked non stop
Incredibly messy sealant - my 8 year old could have done better job
Pipes not boxed in
Split chrome screw caps on the shower screen
Shower screen hinge caps not fitted correctly / cut apart to fit and glued with sealant
Sharp screws left jutting out of the airing cupboard wall
Thermostatic shower plate smeared with silicone and messily stuck to the tiles with sealant seeping out
Bath waste mechanism broken and needs replacement
Great clods of grout left down the edge of the toilet unit
Actually I could go on..
The installer rushed the entire job from beginning to well, I would say end, but the end is not yet in site.
Bathstore are working to get this entire list of issues fixed for us, but the writing is on the wall.
Avoid at all costs. They use very cheap / slap dash installers and their products are second rate cheap rubbish.
What was supposed to be our dream bathroom has been a total and utter disaster.
The staff at Redditch store have been very helpful and seem genuinely concerned, but to be honest they have been totally let down by an incompetent installer who just wanted to get in, get out and take the money.
Save yourself a lot of heartache.
