As well as checking on news, weather, etc., I never need to miss a programme on Radio 4 thanks to the fabulous iPlayer.
Can't believe we pay a licence subscription for this load of rubbish. Programmes are poor. The news tries to brainwash you. Radio one DJ's think they are rock gods! And they waste tax payer’s money on sending millions of reporter to report on things like the winter Olympic Games...
Hey maybe that's my calling I should be a BBC reporter who's doing a documentary on the Foo fighters and reviewing their world tour... and I’ll do it for expenses only..?
The BBC is mostly excellent in my opinion, but programmes like eastenders so lower the tone and provide a terrible example for young people that I cannot give 5 stars anymore.Inspector Montalbano however is wonderful, long may he continue !!!!
well if they think i will ever buy a tv or tv licence after they took me to court with out telling me first when i had no tv or equipment then they can go blow the PM as i think they are gay tv i am not gay so have no intrest in watching the rubbish they show, and subliminal is supposed to be ilegal, hypnotisum viar a tv is stupid if the child turns over they could end up killing some one or doing drugs as they get the next comand after the deepening script!
The BBC may have been great in the past but today they are not.
One or two stand out programmes and a rare surprise does not make it OK, and don't get me started on the radio stations.
I think it is time for the licence fee to go. If the BBC want to continue charging for their services then they should speak to Sky and offer their chanels as a add-on subscription or as part of a package.
We will then see how long they would last when we have the choice to pay them or not!
The BBC website can be relied upon for giving the latest news updates and all of the great, most legitimate stories too. I would trust BBC news much more than various other news sites. I often use the sport section too, and since the new layout, there seems to be a little bit of an extra delay in terms of updating scores etc which can get a little frustrating. Finally getting used to the new website design after hating it at first. Now it seems much more accessible and easy to use.
Very disappointed that the BBC have decided to change their satellite system so that it excludes European Union. I realise that their service that was formally within the Sky Satelitte system was free but it used to be a reliable and comprehensive service to expats. The move is not what I would expect from a British Corporation.
New sports website is appalingly bad design.Basic things that were previously available one or two clicks away from the home page, such as a list all of today’s football (that’s what you probably know as “soccer”) fixtures involving British professional teams, now take an age to find, and then you can never be sure that you have found everything because you have to check each individual English, Scottish or European league or cup competition to see if there are any matches.
And all this while having your eyes assaulted by seas of yellow in the name of branding. Other obvious failings are images with text obscuring important features, text not being left-aligned and “headlines” squeezed into a ridiculously narrow column down the centre of the page.
The BBC is one of the Best TV Channels in the UK.
With No Adverts and quality programmes, it is my favourite place to watch TV. If only there was an option to Stop the Adverts on the other channels, I would be willing to pay a small fee to do this.
Life long fan of the BBC TV here and the BBC Sports website. Disappointed to read about their excessive salaries to certain people inside the BBC especially when we have to pay a TV Licence to cover their costs. Get rid of the likes of BBC4 as three BBC channels (BBC1, BBC2, BBC3) are enough especially what we have to pay for!

this is now becoming one of the worst news programs of all,it seems to be reintroducing itself as a forum for new books, films, pop songs and the like. if you want a good balance of international news go to a foreign channel, as they seem to go out into the world further than the bbc dares to.
They have a website that is overly complicated. They have an awful lot of content and i feel this gets lost in a disjointed website. When i click on a link that says Radio1 i expect to go to the main Radio1 website...not the current presenters site!!! The list of issues is long but on the whole a pleasentish experience.
Just great programmes on diverse topics. Fabulous drama. Great TV & Radio, and NO ADVERTISING.When I watch other stations I switch over when the Ad's come on unless it is an exceptional programme which it usually isn't, or record and fast forward through the commercial breaks. But the BBC is sublime and shows just how good Britain is. HMG, keep your hands off our BBC!
