All good until things went wrong

We ordered a bed frame and a mattress.
The frame arrived on time on the due date and we were very pleased with it. However the mattress was not loaded. We called Bedworld who said (without even asking for our name or reference) that the mattress would arrive by separate courier and no need to worry. As it was already late afternoon on a Friday we just did not believe the operator and our view was she just wanted to get us off the phone before Friday closing time. We phoned back about 15 minutes later and spoke to someone else who was much more helpful and said that there had been an issue with the mattress delivery but that we would definitely get it the following Monday. We were given a tracking number. Whilst this was a disappointment as we were moving house and had nowhere to sleep. The following Monday we waited until mid day and then called again. The mattress was still not dispatched even though the tracking number we had been given said it had been. We eventually got the mattress on the Tuesday - which did not live up to the next day promise at all. The people on the phone were pleasant (well except for the one that did not seem to care) but there was a lack of customer care - they were not bothered we had been inconvenienced, had nothing to sleep on and lost two additional days work waiting for a non delivery and there was no apology. On balance we would not buy again from this supplier.
