Croydex Hamble Wooden Mirrored Bathroom Cabinet: This item comes flat packed and the backing is chipboard, not wood as you might expect. It's rickety and certainly not worth the £47 we paid for it, particularly when you can spend the same amount of money for much better build quality at places like Dunelm Mill or John Lewis.
I bought this because it looked nice and because it had an integral towel rail, but I now wish that I had bought something else because I am really disappointed with it. The only reason I haven't returned it is because I assumed we couldn't.
We also ordered a Croydex Maine White Toilet Roll Holder and one of the 'arms' was loose when it arrived. My husband had to take it apart and re-glue it as the spring on the tube holder was so strong it was pushing it out.
As for Bella Bathrooms customer service, I first had an issue where the order was delayed as it had come from another warehouse. When I emailed to ask where it was it was promised the next day but it didn't arrive. Again, I had to chase them for an explanation. A simple email to tell me would have been appreciated.
When I left a negative review of the cabinet on their website, it went "for moderation" but - no surprise - it didn't appear on the site. Not only that, but a positive review of the item was removed. A follow-up email sent to customer service was also ignored. The next thing I know, I'm getting an email from them asking me to review it!
I definitely won't be buying from them again.
I purchased a shower, enclosure, tray etc spending approximately £750 in total.
The tray and enclosure were both listed as left hand quadrant, however the images were opposite sides on the website. I called the company to clarify the discrepancy, BUT THEY TOLD ME THE TRAY WAS A SAMPLE IMAGE AND IT WAS THE CORRECT WAY ROUND FOR THE ENCLOSURE
All items were delivered and my builder signed for them.
THE TRAY WAS NOT AS THE SALES PERSON ASSURED ME AND WAS NOT THE CORRECT WAY AROUND.
I immediately contacted the company who told me to ship the heavy tray back to them. Still wrapped and packaged, I emailed Kevin and other staff at the company asking why i had to pay for shipping when i had been mis sold the tray. I'd made the effort to call to confirm details and been told that tray would fit that enclosure.
Bella Bathrooms refused to collect the item or pay for shipping, despite being told about the Consumer Protection Regulations (if the goods don't comply with the contract, the seller must pay for their return)
Over 7 or 8 emails the company initially tried to claim that I had to prove who I'd spoken to and then dismissed what their sales representative had told me, refusing to refund me until they had received the item.
THIS IS A PERFECT EXAMPLE OF A DISHONEST INTERNET COMPANY. DO NOT TRUST OR PURCHASE FROM THEM.
This product was delivered to me last week (July 2012). The Bella Bathrooms terms and conditions force you to check the product on delivery and sign it is in good shape. If you sign that it is in good shape, no matter what fault the product has already or will develop without your contribution, you cannot return it back! Although I checked the product on delivery, I haven’t seen a crack in the wood at the back of the cabinet, either because I haven’t checked thoroughly enough, or because the crack was not there. A few days after delivery my handyman came to install it but after careful consideration, decided not to fit it on the wall, because the product is extremely heavy (about 14 KG) and the walls would not support such a weight, especially with the frequent opening of the 2 massively heavy mirrored doors, in time. The company’s website by the way has no mentioning of how heavy the cabinet is, so you have no clue how heavy it is before it gets delivered to you.
Because of the cabinet weight we wanted to return the product back. However this is impossible, the company refuses, because we have signed on receipt that is has no issue. We have not even moved the cabinet from one room to another, so it couldn’t have been us who produced the crack: either the product had the crack before delivery, or the transportation produced the crack, or the crack happened since the delivery, without us touching the product ! Either way, this looks to us like a manufacturing issue, whose cost now WE have to support rather than the company.
The way the company force their customers to sign on delivery that the product has no fault it’s appalling and we can only see it as a bad company strategy to sell more and make dishonest money when they know that the quality of their products is not right.
On the company’s website for this product (and other products) the company MISINFORMS by saying: “In the unlikely event you are not happy with your purchases we offer a 7 Day Money Back Guarantee.” They offer a 7 days grace period if you change your mind, if the product has no fault. IF THE PRODUCT HAS A FAULT, the email you receive ONCE YOU PAID, tells you “All returned faulty goods are tested by the manufacturer, and if the item is NOT faulty the product value will be refunded minus the cost of the testing process.”. Which means that if the product IS faulty there are no terms and conditions that help you get your money back.
I recommend you do not buy this product or any other product with this company. Once you do, it seems impossible to get reimbursed if there is an issue with it.
My 'April' Shower-door Order was trouble free. Sales team were efficient. Delivery was on time (within the promised three days for this product). Delivery driver (palletways) was a little unsure of his obligation to wait for 15 mins. whilst I checked for delivery damage, though this was verified on the delivery note and he obliged accordingly. The manufacturer did not provide a parts list in the box so I was unable to check that all the parts were there, which wasn't really an issue with this product, but it might have been if the package had contained numerous items.This checking-before-signing process might panic some people. The product is of excellent quality and value, so in summary, I think Bella bathrooms provided a vey good service for which I thank them.
Having chosen a bathroom mirror, shopped around the internet and decided to order from Bella Bathrooms as they offered best price and delivery time. Ordering process very simple, got confirmation right away and within couple days got a call to advise time of delivery the following day. Package arrived on time as promised, well packed and undamaged. Mirror now installed and looks fabulous, a real feature in my new bathroom. Very smart clean and uncluttered lines and love the on/off sensor. A good choice all round. Would recommend Bella Bathrooms.
This is more about the price than the product...my plumber complained to his local plumbing wholesaler when I compared the price from Bella bathrooms to what he could quote me. He was going to supply and fit, in the end I ordered it, he fitted it. I saved £150
Pump arrived as promised next day before 2pm, well packaged as as described. Can't fault their service.
My order was for an Identiti2 bi-fold shower door. My initial order was made via telephone and I was disappointed that I was not kept informed that an error had occured and the order could not be processed. After 1 week of silence I contected Bella Bathrooms and they informed me that I would have to start again via the internet. The money had however been taken so they had to issue a refund which was not immediate. Thankfully I was not in too much of a hurry. I re-ordered on-line and the door arrived with no fuss - the delivery driver even went out of his way to help me shift the door. I would use Bell Bathrooms again but I would always deal with them on-line.
Ordered a 700x700 shower cubicle & ticked box for compatable shower tray(replacement for existing tray of same make) When attaching cubicle to tray we found the door was to large, the side panel was fine. We realised the main problem was that the tray although 700 at bottom edge, the top was 690 & the door had an adjustment of 690 min, the side panel 650.
When contacting customer services the only answer ever received was " We have sold 100's and never had a problem before" After 4 weeks of emails and photos(as requested by Bb) they agreed to suppply us with a smaller door. We had contacted the manufacturer ouselves to see if a smaller door was made. We had no choice but to pay £70 for door to be returned & £34 for new door to be delivered (same delivery company,same driver, same day, same time)
We were advised by the Consumer helpline we had a case of "Not as Described" under sale of goods act, Trading Standards contacted us and gave same information.We written to Bb twice requesting our carriage charges be refunded as a gesture of goodwill or to come to a mutual agreement, we have no response! This issue is still unresolved.
Check, check and double check returns policy, our products were neither damaged, faulty, unwanted etc etc we loved the product it just didnt fit!!

The items ordered were as stated on the site but there were some problems with delivery. When my order was placed I was informed that I would be contacted within 48 hours regarding a delivery time however this took three or four days. The delivey information recommended that two people be present at delivery which is a problem as not many people can call on another pair of hands within an 8 hour period.
Was not informed of a delay in delivery of my order, i only found out after having chased Bella Bathrooms on the staus of my delivery. My order is now going to take two weeks from date of order. I cannot get in touch with the Manager, who did not return my call and is aparently in 'meetings' all day today.
Ordered an entire shower room refit, from showertray to sink and taps. High quality items, helpful staff and informed delivery. Recommended.
Pleased with 2nd item .as the first one was the wrong size . I wouldn't buy any thing else or recommend you to any one as your return policy is a joke I tried returning the item my self but the haulage fee is over 100.00 pound so now iam stuck with a shower cubicle
The cabinet was nice and solid and handles were heavy. Cant fault the service or the speed of delivery but I thought the charge was excessive at over 30 pounds which was a third of the price of the cabinet. So all in all not that good a value for money. Ok I suppose if you were to buy more pieces.
