I bought an Airflow 2000 bed with memory foam mattress on 14 Oct. It was delivered on 30 October. By mid November I still couldn't use it because the chemical spray used on the mattress was so overwhelming. Customer service staff were very polite and we agreed to exchange the mattress with delivery "before Christmas". After numerous telephone calls, today 3 December I have been informed that the new mattress will arrive "sometime after Christmas" - which I assume will be January. Bensons has had my money since 14th October ! Sorry Bensons, but I cannot recommend you, and judging by the number of negative reviews its high time you reviewed your service. I wish I had researched the reviews before I had purchased.
Bought a mattress and subsequently realised that the thickness of the mattress was unsuitable for the frame. Tried to cancel 6 days after order and still 2 weeks before delivery date and they said a 20% cancellation penalty would apply - £140! They dont have a suitable thinner alternative so am left seriously out of pocket or forced to buy an alternative that isn't really right for the frame. If I had bought online i could cancel but because I bought in store the £140 charge applies. This 'admin charge' is blatent extortion and does not reflect the cost of cancellation. A cheap trick and I will never use this company again.
Despite the company giving me the date of delivery and the time slot of midday to 6pm and the order being confirmed 3 weeks prior to that date (the date was stipulated by them and not requested by me) they then rang a week before delivery and said it would be a week later than the agreed date. I had already made arrangements for the old bed to be taken away and for the afternoon off work. I would not recommend this company to anyone!
Bought our bed in the Darlington store and was assured that our £2000 divan bed and headboard would be put in place no problem. On the day of delivery however, the bed was delivered but the headboard had "wings" which couldn't get up the stairs. The simple solution was to take out 3 bolts (5 mins) on one side to get the headboard up the stairs. One of the delivery men stated that they only had 10 minutes per delivery and would not wait until we removed the bolts. Their suggestion was return it to store and get a headboard that would go up the stairs. Our solution was two women (myself and my daughter) unlocked bolts and carried headboard to bedroom and fixed it to divan. Pathetic delivery service ... Was supposed to be passed on to area manager but two and a half weeks on no response. Was offered complimentary duvet or pillows but declined as just wanted a job, that was promised, done. Wish now that I'd walked a few more steps to furniture village !
Utterly laughable order fulfillment process at Bensons means that a bed that we ordered, paid for and arranged delivery of over 6 weeks ago will now not be delivered tomorrow. Despite receiving a text two days before scheduled delivery confirming the delivery, I only received a telephone call the day before delivery informing me that it would not be delivered but I could still have the mattress if I wanted it???? This has been particularly annoying as I had to take a day off work to remain at home!
Have had numerous conversations with various teams within Bensons with little progress so far. I would strongly discourage anyone from purchasing any Bensons items if you expect to actually receive the item!
With the disappointment and frustration so far I am now dreading breaking the news to my 3 year old son and the inevitble tantrums that will follow!
I ordered an ottoman bed frame and mattress in store a few weeks ago and agreed a delivery date. The sales woman informed me that I would receive a phone call and text of which time slot I will be allocated the day before delivery. I didn't receive any calls or texts, so I emailed customer service ( had no response) I called the delivery warehouse ( no answer). So I called the store and they where adamant of a different date on their system. I had the invoice in front of me which stated the agreed date. then they apologised and offered another date. I am awaiting to speak to the store manager tomorrow so I can claim some compensation for the inconvenience. If they do not offer me a discount or a complimentary product I am cancelling my order. I usually check reviews when buying a product and I regret to say I didn't this time until after I. Why cant people just buy a product and receive it. I WILL NEVER USE BENSON FOR BEDS AGAIN !!!!!
1000 pounds worth of bed came damaged with loads of wood worm holes in... yes you can expect some with it being reclaimed wood but i mean loads. head board was damaged and had been glued back so had a big white crack down it!! man at shop said they drill holes in wood at factory for effect.. but couldn't find many in the show room one....ongoing... not happy
Purchased my Silentnight Miracoil Deluxe and Duvan from the Bury Bensons for beds store. The staff were very polite, not pushy. They explained I'd get notification on the Monday then when my bed gets delievered on the Wednesday I would get a call half an hour before. Got a text on the Monday saying it would come between 7 and 1 and on the Wednesday like they said recieved a call and it came half an hour later. Very chuffed with the delivery and the service I received in store. Bed is beautifully made exactly like it was in store cant wait to try it out. Thought I would write my positive experience on here as they're quite a few negatives.
We bought a Benson for beds Super King Divan and Mattress for £1200.00 after only 7 months the Memory foam collapsed leaving huge craters in both sides of the bed and a huge lump in the middle.
Benson were rude on the phone when we rang to tell them about it. The store would only divert us back to there customer support line.
We provided photographs showing how bad the bed was and stated we were not happy and the bed was not fit for purpose.
Bensons for Beds sent a Fira inspector out who lay on the bed for a couple of seconds in my crater, bounced up and down. Then told us that the bed was fine and that none of the pockets were damaged.
Evidently the bed is not fine as you can no longer roll over as you are stuck in a rut. and the is a HUGE mound in the middle of the bed.
There are thousands of complaints of the same nature on the Benson for beds Sydney Bed online and all customers are having exactly the same issues and been given the run around.
Those that scream loudest seem to get there 1200.00 bed replaced. But Fira did an inspection on our Bed by giving it a 2 minute massage.
Benson's for beds rang us a week later to smugly tell us they were not going to do anything with our bed as FIRA had said there was nothing wrong with it.
We now potentially are having to look at binning the £1200.00 mattress and having to spend the same again.

We went in looking for a some bedroom furniture and settled on the Lima range as being what we wanted. After several visits and several different Sales (why do they think the public are so stupid? One day a retailer will offer a fair price for a fair product and stop this Sale pretense) we placed an order for a wardrobe, bedside cabinets and a chest.
To be honest alarm bells should have rung when I placed the order. Although personable the salesman clearly didn't have much clue about furniture. Indeed I would question whether he was actually trained at all or just left to get on with it. It looked like he was left to get on with it as we helped him select the items we wanted from the laughably old fashioned and unhelpful computer system! To be honest no wonder he was confused.
Anyway, after what seemed an eternity the order was placed and, 6 weeks later, the furniture was delivered.
Clearly the drivers had something else they'd rather be doing as they grunted the delivery, grudgingly, up stairs.
And that was when the fun began. How they think furniture is going to be delivered undamaged with the minimal of wrapping that it has is beyond me. Clearly there had been some impact as the boxes were damaged. On unwrapping them it was clear the furniture had been damaged in several places. Heavy bumps had impacted and dented the chests in a couple of places and one of the wardrobe panels had a scratch down it.
Obviously this was not acceptable so I phoned the store, as they are the one's that took my money. I asked to speak to the salesman I had dealt with originally only to be told he had 'left the business'. Perhaps he had taken a career step upwards and was flipping burgers for a living?
So I asked for the Manager who seemed fairly disinterested yet clearly unsurprised by my problem. 'Phone customer services'.
'Well, no, you phone customer services and sort it out because this order will be cancelled if not sorted quickly'.
He said he would. Several phone calls later it appeared he'd managed to get Customer Services interested though clearly they move at their own pace.
I also became aware that the interior colour of the wardrobes did not match the one's in the showroom. It had gone from a beige colour to grey!
Lucky Bensons don't sell car's as they have a very cavalier attitude to giving the customer what they actually want and ordered! A bit like Henry Ford- any colour you want as long as we get to choose for you!
As regards the scratced wardrobe I was actually asked if the scratched side was wall facing as 'nobody will see it there'. ! Shocking amateurs.
Anyway, this is ongoing and has been for several weeks now.
I will report back when its actually sorted. If it ever gets sorted.

We searched around for a guest bed/ trundle bed where you get two beds in one. The best and most suitable was in Bensons for Beds. We received very good customer service from the sales man who was helpful, knowledgeable and patient. We were told they would deliver within 6 weeks and we wanted it in the latter part of the 6 weeks. I then received a phone call to confirm which date it would be. My husband took the day off work to accept delivery but by 12 noon we had nothing so we called customer services who were hopeless and said the bed was out of stock and had already been re- scheduled for a day the following week which we didn't even know about!! We told customer services that this day was not convenient and they said they would get the Distribution manager to call us and re-arrange the delivery. Nobody called and then lo and behold the bed arrived on that day and by chance I was in!! They delivered it but the delivery man did not unpack anything, like it says they do in their glossy Bensons brochure! Once we had unpacked everything we discovered the mattress was all rolled up and they had only sent one and not two, so yet another call had to be made to customer services who said that it would then be delivered the following week! in the meantime I received a letter from customer services apologising for the inconvenience with the wrong delivery date. Customer services really need to improve as they were pathetic. We finally received the other mattress yesterday.
The quality of the bed is lovely and looks great and we are happy with it but the scary part after buying and paying out, the service is shocking! Be warned as it was very disappointing for us and we will not go to Bensons again.
After an exhaustive search for the perfect bed for 2014, my ideal silentnight miracoil was discovered on bensonsforbeds. Its a much more advanced version of the 2013 edition which after nearly 10 months continuous use is now virtually ready for the scrapheap. Only a short 4 week order time too which is the shortest ive known. However it hasnt been delivered now 5 weeks on. Have been assured its on its way however only 2 stars based on experience so far.
Bought a full, expensive bed and bedroom furniture. Had a very friendly experience when they were taking my money! However, after an incomplete delivery the items were finally complete within a couple of day after they were supposed to deliver. Then reported a fault after the side part of the wardrobe door fell off leaving this very dangerous as a heavy glass door could fall off at any minute. I rang customer services on monday who asked me to send photos which I did immediately.
It is now thursday and after 2 further phone calls I am still waiting to hear from them with any sort of action.
This door could fall and hurt a member of my family! We have tried to secure it without causing further damage to the fittings which I am sure they will then say this is our fault.
I am so cross!
We are moving house soon and I will require some new bed and furniture but will definitely not use this company!!!!
Today i waited in all day for the new bed
nothing so at 5 pm i phoned them
they now say the date has been put back two weeks
Yet nobody told me a thing so wasted all day waiting for them
Also nobody phoned me at all yet they say i was called twice yeright?
they are blaming the store house computer the computer said in stock the warehouse say no not in stock
So tell you in two weeks if it comes.
Ordered a stompa cabin bed for my 3 year old. Not cheap at £466 but wanted to get her a bed that would last. When the delivery came the men were taking a long time in the van unloading. Turns out that all that was in my delivery was the mattress, doors and mattress protector....no bed! When the delivery men rang the depot they said it hadn't been put on the delivery as it was out of stock!! News to me. I'd had no phone call to tell me this!
The men left the bits that had been delivered and told me to ring customer services.
Customer services were useless! They informed me the product was out of stock with no lead time! Although they appologised they couldn't offer me an explanation as to why I wasn't informed before hand. After a 22 minute conversation the upshot was I'd have to wait for the delivered items to be recalled then I could apply for a refund which I'd have to go back to store to get! I offered to keep the delivered items if they could discount them slightly for the inconvenience but this was a flat no. They can only discount items that are causing the issue! I wasn't happy at having to wait in another 6 hours on a different day to have the items collected and suggested the delivery men just come straight back - which to be fair they did.
Now I'm left with a very upset 3 year old who thought she was getting a new bed tonight!
Overall a very, very poor experience. Incompetent doesn't cover it! I'll never use them again and suggest you don't either!
I bought some furniture from Bensons. I have had to make endless phone calls to get this furniture delivered after paying in full. After waiting more than 3 months and being unable to cancel as this would have cost me 20% of the total the bed frame arrived damaged beyond repair. One week later I am still waiting for a phone call from customer services as this is part of a set and I cannot go elsewhere. I guess the stress starts again with no word of apology, action or compensation Don t buy from this company if you need anything within a reasonable time or if you haven t got hours to spend on the phone to Customer services as they simply don't care.
I purchased a top of the range bed just before Christmas and the mattress soon dipped in the middle by over 3cm, the "luxury layers" have compressed and the tufts now stick in me so I have to shuffle around to find a comfortable spot - I only sleep in this bed half of the time, so this is effectively 3 months wear. I have been told that this is perfectly normal! This was not explained to me in the shop at the time of purchase, otherwise I would not have bought the bloody thing! I sleep in the bed alone and following a bed technician's visit have just been informed that this is not a manufacturing fault and that there is nothing they can do, other than to offer me a "quality assurance guarantee" which I can purchase for a knock down price of £85! I spent over £1250 on this bed! Why would I want to pay for this guarantee so that they can replace the bed, which I am told is not faulty (so why would they then replace it if I pay for this guarantee?!) I'm absolutely furious and will see Citizens Advice about my rights as a consumer. All I want is a comfortable, level bed for the extortionate amount of money I spent!
I ordered a bed from Bensons during one of their endless sales. The bed I chose after trying each one (their bed station firmness guide gimmick being next to useless) was a Airflow 7000 apparently being made by their "sister" company Relyon, which afford them a faster and preferential service from the manufacturer. I was told the bed was being phased out and was cheaper for this reason. It would take 3 weeks to arrive and I paid my money in full, £700 plus further £40 con for delivery. I was given a delivery date strangely 4 weeks hence but made plans around this date anyway. The day before the bed was supposed to be delivered (I kid you not) I received a call from Bensons informing me that the bed could not be made or delivered as the manufacturer had run out of material for the bed! I asked why this news had only come to light a day before it was supposed to be delivered and typically Bensons blamed their sister company. I asked what they intended to do to put this right and they seemed clueless. They then suggested I order the new model (not yet in store) in its place at the discounted price despite having never tried the bed. I explained their only advantage in a very competitive market was that customers could try before buying in their showrooms, I could get cheaper quicker service via the internet, but would never know if I would like the bed. Very annoyed at this point I felt my only option was to wait to try the bed. Several weeks past and I was invited to come to the store and try the new model. When I arrived and did not like the bed I was told the bed had was in fact the wrong firmness and the sister company had made another error, I was told the new new bed would arrive in a further 2 weeks and if I liked that one I could order it and it would take a further 3 weeks to be delivered. At this point I explained to the sales staff that their business was being run by clowns to which they took great offence. I eventually tried the new new right bed and found that I hated it too! At this point they had had my money for 2 months and failed to deliver a thing! I wish I could have sued them but no doubt it would have cost me more than the value of the bed, instead I took my money back ...they offered no compensation whatsoever....I have had to put the 2 months stress and torment down to experience. The only point I can make in their defence is that the standards in bed industry in the UK are very very low.
After ordering our Airflow 5000 king size mattress and Divan, I was nervous reading the list of bad reviews of Bensons for Beds, so much so I was tempted to cancel my order.
We received a planned delivery date from them, which was unsuitable at the time as we were on holiday. After calling and speaking with one of the sales representatives Joanne, who was very polite and friendly, she rearranged a delivery date for when we were back. This was followed by an email confirmation, and I thought so far so good.
Prior to the date of delivery I was sent a text message of when my delivery would take place and between what time, 7am-1pm. This is not the greatest window and with it being a weekday my wife had to wait in. On the delivery date, I was called by the delivery driver who again was very polite telling me he would be at the house within 30mins. This was at 9:10am.
The delivery men were very pleasant to my wife and assembled the bed without any mess or damage clearing all remaining rubbish. Top marks!
So far we have no issues with the bed, in fact I love it! I suppose it does depend on who you deal within the company and which delivery men you get, but I am please to say my experience has been very good. I would recommend Benson for Beds to anyone. We purchased our bed online and it was delivered within 2 weeks of ordering.
Hopefully these comments will put other potential buyers at ease!
The experience we have encoutered with Benson for Beds has been exceptional. From walking in the door and getting a first class service at the Blackburn Store, to crawling into my fab new bed the day it was delivered.
We were able to try the different mattresses til we found one to suit and we were given some really helpful advise about the products available to us. We made our purchase and given a delivery date of just over 2 weeks away. The delivery date arrived and so did our new bed and mattress. The day after delivery I was called by the store to check everything had gone ok and that we had received everything we should of done (1 bed, 1 mattress, 1 duvet, 4 pillows & 1 mattress cover).
I would definately recommend the company and would have no reservations about using them again. I'm just glad i didn't read all the reviews before buying from them as i possibly wouldn't of bothered but i'm so glad i used Benson for Beds. 5 star service and experience, thanks.
I bought a mattress and was 1 day over cancelling and are charging 20per cent even for delivery that even is not getting delivered worst customer services ever and sales staff in shop were very unhelpful I would never recommend this shop to anyone ever
I'm quick to moan if things go wrong, so feel obliged to say Bensons for Beds were excellent for me. I panicked when i saw the comments online, but fair play they delivered on time and the correct product. Delivery men were careful not to make a mess and put the bed together quickly.
Ordered double bed and a king size mattress from Bensons Carlisle. Bensons delivered a double bed and double mattress (loading error in warehouse). One phone call and 2 days later mattress was swapped for a new king size one. Overall dealings with Bensons pretty painless even though they did mess up. They even refunded delivery due to inconvenience caused.
I bought a bed from Bensons for Beds in Burnley recently and experienced the best customer service I've ever had!
Arriving at Bensons for Beds at the Anchor Retail Park in Burnley we were met by Dawn and Ibrahim who were fantastic! They immediately offered assistance, and when I explained we were after a bed but not sure what we wanted Ibrahim immediately took us through the step-by-step process (as displayed simply on the walls) of selecting the mattress firmness, size of bed, pillows etc. Their approach was great - courteous, friendly, helpful, and hands-on in the sense that they were encouraging us to lie on different mattresses and they were getting out different pillows for us to try. Throughout the process they were extremely open and honest about the popularity of various beds, and what type of bed / pilow they advised based on our sleeping positions.
Overall extremely chuffed with their helpful and efficient customer service, and the value for money we received. Highly recommended!!
We bought a bed with mattress that seemed comfortable in the shop, unfortunately it turned out to be too hot. We decided to return it based on our statutory rights as we believe it was not as described (it said "cool" on the label). The customer service has been very unhelpful, they do not listen to your arguments and do not reply to your questions. Bensons collected the mattress just because of their own mistake. We are still arguing about the refund. The delivery men left dirt marks allover the walls. Bensons has offered no solution to this, instead, they did not answer to my letter at all.
Without a doubt, the worst company I have ever dealt with. I have experienced significant quality issues with the Sandringham TV bed that we purchased from Bensons. It took 10 calls for customer service (hahaha) to actually do something to address my issues. Note - they never call their customers back. Every call was initiated by me. The engineer that they arranged to attend agreed that the tv lift mechanism was indeed faulty. Two weeks later and Bensons hadn't called following this visit - so rang them to ask. They stated that they had the report but just needed to check on what they would do next. We'll call you tomorrow. A week and a half later with no call. Call them back to be told the bed is now discontinued. My choices - wait until June for the replacement. Have a refund. I will have the refund thanks as I have had it with this company. I will never buy anything from them again.
We wanted a distressed leather sofa bed and found the ideal one at Bensons for Beds. It was reduced, so we bought it without hesitation. We ordered it over the phone, and were told we could have the sofa bed delivered in the evening as we both work full time. We received a confirmation text but instead of stating evening delivery, it said that the sofa bed would be delivered between 7am and 1pm. We contacted them to re-arrange but they just said they'd "made a note" and were unable to change it. They wouldn't offer us weekend delivery and made out like we worked unusual hours (we both work 9-5:30). We had to ask my partners dad to take a few hours off work so the sofa could be delivered to our apartment. We gave Bensons his mobile number in case there were any problems. I have bad knees and my partner has a bad back and Bensons don't set up sofa beds, but were told attaching the legs would take "five minutes". On delivery day, my partner received an abundance of phone calls from the delivery driver saying he was on his way and was then outside, so Bensons clearly didn't pass his dads mobile number on to the delivery driver.
After returning home from work, we struggled to get the sofa bed out of the box, plastic wrapping and the foam covering the legs became stuck (it's still there now, we can't get rid of it). When we took the plastic off, we could smell how cheap the imitation leather was. After a day at work, I was looking forward to this "five minute" set up time we had been told about, yet an hour later I was still trying to screw the legs on. You need to use an alan key and a spanner at the same time, but with the sofa cushioning being in the way of the screw holes, they were pretty much impossible to reach and I've only been able to tighten 10 of the 16 screws, so I'm scared to sit on it!
When you buy a sofa bed, you intend to use it as a sofa and a bed. As a sofa, this is uncomfortable and as a bed, this is also uncomfortable. Hardly worth the £300 we paid for it plus the £40 delivery charge (which really should have included set up).
I bought just under £600 of mattress and pillows from Bensons for Beds. I wanted to return one of the pillows but was told that "company Policy" dictated that they do not accept returns on "Health and Hygiene" grounds.
The staff were only able to quote "Company Policy" and would not give a sensible answer to my questions given that the pillow in question was unused. Essentially looking at their "Refund Policy" or (lack thereof) it looks like once you have paid, that's it. No refund, Nor returns, No exceptions. A thoroughly disappointing and disgusting attitude to take given that the goods were in their brand new condition, unused and I had spent as I say around £600.
Fingers crossed these muppets go bang like their other high street buddies and we can see the return of good quality customer service from independents.
We bought a new "Sleepmasters" double bed from Bensons in Reading for £459 and upon delivery we discovered that one of the drawers in the base was unusable - jamming every time it was used. It was impossible to take one of the drawers out as it just came off the runners every time the drawer was inserted. Closer examination revealed that the base was made of thin gauge wood which was simply stapled together and as a result the structure flexed unacceptably when moved. In short, it was cheap rubbish of inferior quality.
Bensons offered to replace the base, but upon discovering the build quality issue we called their customer service department to complain. We were told that if we accepted delivery of the new base then we would effectively be signing that the product was received in good order and as such we our be waiving our legal rights to pursue a claim or get a further replacement. I pointed out that we would be unable to check the base until it was all unpacked and constructed - but that apparently made no difference. We are now in a position where we have a flawed quality bed and no real solution to the problem. When I mentioned that I want a refund the phone line went very quiet indeed.
I cannot recommend this company or their poor quality products. Best avoid them and their miserable customer service.
I have made a video which shows the awful quality of this bed and will be posting that on You Tube later on so that other people will be able to see the appalling quality of Benson's beds for themselves.Serve them right for treating their customers with such contempt.
I bought a (£600+) mattress from them in 2010 (order 222******) ...it spent the best part of a year in storage...so has only had about a years use...it sags on both sides of the bed...when lying on it .. it feels as though you are lying in a trough , and has a ridge down the centre of the bed !!
On contacting customer services i was told to email them photos..this i did , then i waited and waited for a reply...after numerous requests for an answer i repeatedly emailed them until eventually i received an email from them saying they had my email but no photos...(guess this is their delaying tactics...hoping you get fed up) I repeatedly resent the photos without reply...some 2 weeks later they replied saying it looked to them as though the mattress was heavily soiled (load of nonsense...there are no marks on it whatsoever..) and as such they would be taking no further action !! I rotated the mattress (top to tail) so that the light from the window showed the so called 'soiled area ' better ..and even the blindest customer service rep could then see it was 'soil' free and that is was the pattern / hollows that were giving that effect...retook photos and again emailed them....guess what ...NO REPLY !!...If you read this Rebecca Davies of customer relations...GET YOUR ACT TOGETHER !! and to anyone else reading this ..DON'T BUY A BED FROM BENSONS...they are RUBBISH !!

I bought a mettress from Bensons for Beds about three months ago, it was delivered on time and they also phoned me half an hour before delivering. The mattress is good. My experience was OK but I do not know what would have happened if I needed to return the item.
Sometimes things go wrong and then we are quick to give bad reports about it but when things go as planned we don't give praise where it is due. Having ordered a bed from Dreams and had four delivery dates which they never met and then to find out the bed wasn't even in the warehouse, I was worried it might happen again when I ordered a new bed from Bensons for Beds. I needn't have worried, I was given a delivery date when I ordered the bed and the bed was delivered, on the stated date and put together where I wanted it.
Thank you Bensons for restoring my confidence in ordering goods from high street shops.
I ordered a bed from the Leicester for my new home in October 2011.
Was advised lead time of 6-8 weeks, delivery took place between christmas and New Year (few weeks delay, which I was not informed of) after various failed deliveries as drivers did not turn up.
When delivered, parts were missing. Then had to wait another two weeks for replacement pieces which were then sent wrong.
Being fed up with the bad service i asked them to collect the bed frame and refund me the money. Bed frame was collected 2 weeks ago and still no refund. Spoken to several people at the company and the head office ( as i get shrugged off from the store as they cannot help apparently) They say that they cannot confirm that the bed was delivered let alone collected.
I don't see how any business can work like this, ive now purchased from Furniture Barn who provided quick delivery and put this company to shame ( a company that is triple the size!)
My advice, NEVER order from this company.. They seem to want to take your money and not deliver the goods.
Bought a mattress which was faulty it took months of calls and letters to get any response. Finally after contacting the furniture ombudsmen(which apparently they are a member of!) I got them to replace it. I was give 30 days (cheek!) to choose a new one from the same manufacturer which meant a further £250 to get one that wasn't the same shoddy effort that they sold to me.
Please never shop there all the reviews I have read are appalling. Apparently even if you take them to court you still won't get your money back.
I had to return a mattress which I had purchased as it wouldnt go up the stairs (I thought mattresses could bend but not this one). I selected a replacement but was told that I had to phone Customer Support. 13 calls and 1 hour 10 minutes later I got through to be told that I didn't need to call them at all & that they could do nothing for me. Eventually a couple of weeks later I did get the replacement mattress but I won't be going there again. Local shop staff were fine.
unfortunately i bought a sofa-bed from this company for my daughter to sleep on at the weekends when i have custody of my children as she has turned an age where she can no longer sleep in the same room as my son. it arrived water-damaged and they sent me a camera to show the damage. i sent the photo's to them. i wanted a replacement but they said it was the end of the range. i am on benefits because of my mental-health so i couldn't afford anything dearer as a replacement. they agreed to a refund. i visited the store at least twice and rang numerous times. in the end i got the impression that my mental state was detectable in conversation and that they were exploiting it. the sofa was collected on the 23rd of June. ever since then they have palmed me off with weak excuses. they even told me my cheque was 3rd on a pile but someone had forgotten to sign it! i last called on July 18th as they had already told me a week earlier it would arrive in a week (100 %). i have 'phoned them, visited them, given my mobile no. AND e-mailed them. no answer. a friend has offered to pay his solicitor to contact them on my behalf as i can't have my daughter stay and my kids are my life. it's disgusting treatment for anyone to endure. a solicitor's letter will be on its way.
