Good Service

I ordered NEX 5 D and got an email saying that they donot have in stock and waiting delivery from Sony. It took 2 weeks to receive the camera. Customer service is good and they update the delivery yesterday and i received it today. I will certainly use them again but would like to see stock status more clearly while ordering through online.

Ordered a Fuji F80EXR on the 17th July but was informed they were waiting a delivery from Fuji. Unfortunately it took 6 weeks to arrive, no fault of Best Cameras, informed on the 26th Aug. my order had been dispatched and it arrived at 13:45 the next day 27th Aug by first class delivery service. The staff at Best Camers were all very helpful which makes for superb customer service, even though I had to wait for the camera I wanted I was very impressed,I will certainly use and recommend them to friend`s. A Good Company to Buy from and Deal with, but...

I am always disappointed when, having ordered something over the internet and completed the transaction, I am told by the company that the item I ordered is not in stock.This was what happened when I ordered a Fujifilm HS10 on Monday 10/8/10, but give Bestcameras their due, they did tell me that they were expecting a delivery soon and indeed my camera was delivered on Thursday 12/10/10. So no real complaint there.

However, I ordered an upgrade to a Fuji case thinking it was one which would suit the HS10. Not a bit of it; so now I have a case which is no good to me. So yes, a genuine complaint there, especially as I have now had to order a case from Fuji themselves.

I rung enquiring about Panasonic Lumix FS10. Unfortunately they were out of stock but informed that they should be getting more the following week. I rung again but those that had come in had gone straight out to orders that had already been taken. I then ordered online (knowing that more would be in stock the following week). Received email telling me that camera was out of stock and would I like to choose another camera. I waited a few days and received email saying they were now in stock and despatched, and that I would receive it the next day, giving me the name of the carrier.

I am extremely pleased to say that it arrived by carrier this morning. First class service PLUS a 3 year warranty! I was recommended to Best Cameras through a friend and will have no hesitation passing on the good word.

Dreadul service, stay away

Ordered the extras with the camera I bought, but the wrong battery was sent, girl on phone was rude and unhelpful. They sent a new battery but arrived too late as daughter had left the country for a year, they refused to sent out new battery other than 2nd class post and if I wanted it sooner, I would have to pay, which I refused as it was not my fault. I have asked for a refund of the battery and postage, but they are disputing cost of battery and postage costs. I wish I had never bought the camera from Best Cameras, be warned...stay away.

Excellent service. Nikon D40 ordered late Saturday, arrived Tuesday morning. All as advertised. Price as low as others but better value with all extras included (SD card, case and tripod). Promises kept

Phone calls re (a) the Lumix camera (b) the delivery arrangements and (c) an unexpected problem with a new credit card were all dealt with by phone, calmly and efficiently. An order placed on line was fulfilled exactly as promised - next day delivery. The paper work was clear and helpful.

Ordered a Panasonic Lumix camera for next day delivery. Site was easy to use, easy to order. Paid the extra for next day guarenteed delivery. Everything was perfect, camera arrived, included the accessories - I would highly recommend Bestcameras. If there was a 4.5 rating - they would have it. My ONLY slight dissatisfaction, was the quality of packing. £250 camera, wrapped in a single folded sheet of card and shoved into courier bag. Box was slightly squashed on arrival (no damage) - but for a reasonably high priced order, I would have expected slightly more attention to detail, and better protection on the packing front. Apart from that - perfect service all round 9/10

Before ordering my camera on-line, I phoned to check stock, as it was a new model on the market. The young lady that answered was friendly, informed and helpful, telling me it wasn't yet in stock but expected around two weeks time. As soon as I placed my order on-line I received a confirmation e-mail detailing my order and confirming it was not yet in stock and that my card wouldn't be charged until it was. As soon as stocks arrived I received another e-mail confirming that information, I called them back, paid on the phone and was told to expect delivery within two working days, which was the following tuesday. True to their word it arrived early afternoon, as requested, well packaged and in excellent condition. today is 8th june 2010 i have placed an order with best camera which im still waiting for.the order was placed on 1st june and was told that it would be a week to come in as waiting for stock. FINE
today i phoned with regards to my order and ws not happy with the responce i got when "asked where my order is" the responce was very arrogant and he made me feel like i was bothering him,not good.
lets hope future calls will be dealt with more politely in the future,and that i do get my goods soon and that the after care customer service is forthcoming or will they be another typical company "GOT YA MONEY NOW GO AWAY" lets wait and see PLEASE anyone using this company "DONT" i have now tried to cancel order and credit card but they now being so cagey about relaying back to me which card i used stating they cannot relay info back....WHY???? in the end i have just cancelled my credit card to stop any transaction i think i have a lucky escape will never go to these people again .

Would have been a 5 but...

My only complaint is that I ordered online only to receive an email the next day telling me the camera was out of stock. I would have liked to know before ordering. Luckily, in this instance, I could wait the extra week it took to get stock in, but I am accustomed to getting things next day.

Pre-ordered the new Panasonic Lumix G2 before its release. The camera was delivered a good deal sooner than expected with good communication and no money being taken prior to delivery. I have bought my new camera Sony Alpha 550 on Tuesday after Easter it arrived 10.48 on Wednesday. Service, updates and of course prices all brilliant. I would recommend to all my friends and surly I can think of buying something else again ….

DON'T USE THIS COMPANY!

Don't use these people if you need after-service. My camera came with a case far too small to put the camera in. I was asked to return it at my cost and finally, several calls later, received a replacement - even smaller than the last. After the next endless round of calls and three weeks later, one came that was about twice as big as the camera. I am dreading all the hassle that's still to come. My advice is to stay clear of this company.

This review is totally unfair. The customer pruchased the camera and was sent the incorrect case, in error. When we were telephoned regarding the wrong case we immediately sent out the correct case, this was also unsatisfactory, though many other customers have been perfectly happy with it. The customer then complained again and specified precislely what type of case she required and we again sent this out free of charge to her. Unfortunatly inspite of doing precisley as requested it still isn't correct. we have offered to take all the goods back for refund. It is worth pointing out that the case was supplied free with the camera.

I placed my order online for a Nikon P100 in the very early hours of the last Friday in March.First thing that same working day,I was emailed by the Company to say that it was temporarily out of stock,but that it would be dispatched immediately more stock was received.
In less than a week (including a weekend) the P100 arrived at my door!
The Company kept me updated online as to how things were progressing with my order,throughout.
The product arrived in good order and as advertised,including all of the "freebies" that were on offer with the Camera.
As such,based on this,my first experience with the Company,I can recommend "bestcameras" and would not hesitate to purchase from them in the future.

Bestcameras has a very good website, easy to find your way around, even if you are a novice and the prices are very competitive compared to other websites offering similar goods. Although Amazon was offering the same camcorder at £20 cheaper there were no freebies included, ie no case, no tripod and no extra battery, therefore the price being offered by Bestcameras was extremely competitive as it would have cost much more than £20 to purchase these extra items and FREE delivery by courier and an extra years guarantee! I ordered the camcorder over the weekend and this was delivered by courier by Tuesday lunchtime, very well packaged. The email communication from Bestcameras was also excellent, keeping me informed from the moment the purchase was completed right up to informing me that the camcorder was on its way. I would certainly recommend Bestcameras for service & value for money and will definitely use again.

I am quite the gadget fan and was looking to add a small compact camera to my collection and decided on the Casio Ex FH100 and when I googled i saw the best price and clicked saw that not only cheaper but had a free sdhc 4gig card,case( which was no cheapy!!) and small table top tripod so i placed an order and called to be greeted by friendly staff who answererd my wittering friendly and very helpfully, when the cam came into stock it was delivered next day wow super super fast and FREE!!! very impressed and today went onto website to rate it noticed the price had dropped so i give the manager a call and he kindly refunded me the difference,which was extremely good service.
I will be coming back here again And i would give 50 stars if poss.

Checked availability for a Nikon D5000, The lady I spoke to said they had stock and if I placed the order before 13.00 I would receive it next day.
I placed the order at 9.30am, I received the camera at 8.30am the next day.

This item had not yet been released and I was advised by bestcameras of the delivery date and that it would be dispatched when they received it. So it was. The camera was received the next day at the best price I could find including a number of extras that no other competitor could come close to.

And well worth every one of them!!

From start to finish this was one of the best experiences that I have had in buying online/phone, bar none!

I e-mailed for advice and telephoned following that. Rachel and Hannah were both extremely helpful, keen to offer what ever assitance was required and were not only a credit to themselves, but also to Bestcameras. It was ultimately down to these two ladies that opted to buy from Bestcameras, as opposed to the numerous other online shops offering a similar price.

Receipt of the camera was the very next day. It arrived very well packaged and the only problem was that they had sent a 4Gb as opposed to the 8Gb card. I phoned them and spoke to Rob and the matter was sorted without any hesitation or question, an 8Gb card will be sent out before close of business.

I have absolutely no hesitation in recommending this shop for any future photographic purchases or advice, repairs etc.

I ordered the new Canon Powershot SX210 IS and received an email saying they were waiting for stock. I exchanged emails with their customers services explaining that I needed the camera quickly as I was going on holiday. They replied promptly and kept me informed all the time needless to say less than a week after ordering I today received my camera. They offerted the best price and I was more than happy with the free delivery and extras that came with the camera. I paid by card and they had not taken any money from my account until the camera was safely delivered to me. I highly recommend them and will be using them again in the future.

Bestcameras offered an extremely competitive deal on a great new camera, and although I was temporarily disappointed that, after payment, I was sent an email to advise me that it was not in stock, my phone call query was dealt with efficiently and in the end the camera arrived only 3 days after I had ordered it.
