Purchased an expensive gas fire from these people and as was having major refurbishment works done on my property explained it would not be opened for 2/3 months until the works were nearly completed as the fire would be one of the last things to be fitted and there was no point me looking at it as I know nothing about gas fires so it remained boxed in my hallway until the gas fitter came towards the end of the renovation. Was told no problem and if there are any issues or it is faulty/damaged it would be replaced at the time and the delay did not matter. I even phoned again a week after delivery to check on this and get it confirmed. When it was finally opened it was damaged called BHL suddenly it was all different they did not want to know and were most unhelpful. Said I should have taken the name date of birth and inside leg measurement of the person I spoke to originally and as it was more than 7 days after delivery they would not help. Well I have told everyone I know and all the builders/gas fitters never to use BHL they may have good prices but that is worth nothing if the customer service is not there and goods are delivered damaged. All in all an awful experience never again.
I bought the fire after seriously looking all over the web and plumbing centres for the best price. I found that the price could not be beaten, but I did not expect the same if not better customer service from an online supplier.
Trawled all the sites for the best deal as you do, BHL came up with the best combination of price and delivery cost and time scale. I was kept informed of the order progress and emailed with the delivery date and then received a text confirming the time slot for my delivery.
Delivery driver put it right where the wife asked him to no trouble first class service thank you BHL.
The fire surround arrived very quickly. unfortunately the wrong item was delivered. The customer service team arranged next day delivery & collection. Very happy with the service & product.
Purchased a 50 gallon plastic tank complete with everything I needed included , the price was the cheapest I found and the service I received was second to none . Installed the new tank myself with no problems whatsoever as full instructions were inside with all the fittings
Ordered the items on a Thursday, the following Wednesday called to check when they were going to be delivered as I had not had any contact from BHL other than the auto generated order email.
Was told that there was difficulty with one of their suppliers and that the items could not be delivered until Friday. Nowhere on the site was it stated that the items were not in stock for immediate dispatch. Now I find myself Job-Stop waiting for these items. If they had informed me of these delays I would have ordered from my local merchants instead.
No compensation was offered, and only a gruging apology.
I was online looking for a spare part for my Mums fire. Quite a few sites with the part but I thought the price was a bit high on all of them, then I spotted the BHL website, and there was the part Mum needed at a much cheaper price than I had seen.
Ordered the part and within a few days the part was delivered, as I live quite a way from Mum I asked her to open the parcel and make sure everything had arrived in tact.
She said it was so well wrapped up she had a hard time getting into it, but when she did, the part had arrived safely.
I would recommend BHL to anyone looking for spare parts and thank BHL for their quick and efficient delivery.
Ordered 8 radiators, one towel rail and bucket load of fittings which was the easy bit.
Received email with delivery dates and then received a second email with tomorrow's date for just the towel rail, so customer had to wait in all day for delivery.
The second date was two days later and that one didn't turn up.
Called to ask what was happening and got oh its all coming on Thursday (this was Monday)
8 radiators turned up and due to time and delays accepted the scratch and ripped packaging.
All but 2 radiators when opened were scratched or dented and Plumbcenter didn't want to know nor did BHL.
All so the fittings had still to be delivered, called again and got told they had forgotten them/out of stock so waited 4 more days!
Over all rubbish customer service, useless emails with incorrect info and goods damaged which I had to deal with stelrad direct and it's not their fault no one can carry and store a radiator properly!
Ordered a number of items from BHL online. This order was then fulfilled by PTS in Barrow in Furness. When order was delivered it was missing a TRV and Lockshield valve which was to follow. 4 WEEKS later I called PTS to find out when the remaining order would be fulfilled. When speaking to the assistant on the phone it was immediately evident that if I had not called this order would have been forgotten. I was told that they would now order the valves and it would take a couple of days. I said that this would have to be ok and when would they deliver it to me. This was obviously a problem as they wanted me to pick up the valves. As the whole order was meant to be delivered I insisted that they deliver the valves to me. The valves were delivered as per instruction. Box was very tatty and the TRV looked battered. I had to accept this as I had waited long enough for them. In conclusion very poor service from both companies. When I order from a company I expect them to fulfil the order in full and in good condition.
Ordered online. Looked at picture of bottom outlet tank and ordered. However, description was of top outlet tank. Impressed by fact that I got a phone call to check my order before processing as I would have received top outlet instead of bottom. Thank you!. However, can I suggest that correct picture is assigned to correct description. Bottom outlet description was assigned top outlet picture.
Yes, It was probably my mistake, but felt the individual whom I spoke to regarding this was rather abrupt and rude when I said I had just looked at picture. Made me feel rather silly, but hey ho, we are all human!
I ordered a Mira Realm Shower with Diverter from BHL. They were by far the cheapest, in fact almost £100 less than a leading DIY supplier. Easy ordering and fast delivery. Unfortunately, a small ceramic part of the shower lever was briken, but I contacted Mira service who dealt with the problem and replaced it the next day. I would use BHL again.
I battled to order this particular Siemens dishwasher with a well known retail and internet trader, who claim to have comparable levels of customer service. After 2 weeks of valueless promises of impending stock delivery, and unwillingness to take my order I called BHL. Within 5 minutes BHL saved me £50, offered me fast delivery and the same offers on trade in and extended warranty(which were provided bi Siemens anyway it transpires). The unit was delivered quickly, in a 2 hour time window by a very helpful delivery driver. I couldn't have asked for a better service.
I have bought 2 Myson Invector convector radiators on 2 occasions . Price, service and delivery was very good. I am now thinking of buying another radiator. Although they are quite expensive, to date I cannot fault them. Prior to the fitting of these radiators it would take approximately 3 hours to heat up the room from cold. Now it takes only 30 minutes. The fan noise is noticeable on setting 3 but once the room has reached temperature it is very quite. I have been monitoring my monthly gas bills and have noticed a substantial reduction in cost. An excellent product.
When the goods were ordered (AND PAID FOR) we were not told that there was going to be a delay in delivery. After some frustrating chasing we were informed that there would be a two week delay in delivery on half the items that we paid for. Eventually one package was delivered but still after about 4-5 weeks the other half of the delivery has still not turned up!
Apparently BHL don't carry stock it comes direct from the manufacturer, if this is the case then I would change my suppliers.

Told our item had been dispatched, it wasn't, told again and again its on its way, it wasn't
when it finally arrived lucky our customer hadn't cancelled the contract.
Customers should be told the truth about delayed deliveries even if it means losing the sale, because you lose the customer instead.
we will not be buying from bhl or its subsidiaries again.
BHL's website is clear and simple to navigate. The ordering process is straightforward. Delivery is slower than with other internet companies and carrier information was not provided.
Was looking for a certain fire fret online & found BHL. They were the cheapest I could find for the "branded" fret and the delivery charge was very reasonable. Very impressed!
