Lots of great items, impressive site and adds in magazines. I have shopped here for years and spent quite a bit of money. However, for the 3rd time BHPhoto has allowed me to complete an order on an item without letting me know the item was back ordered. I only find out weeks later when I check to see where my item is. In the order status screen at BHPhoto there is no way to self cancel your order; you must go through emails and phone calls.
Icing on the cake was a used lens I purchased that was delivered in a cardboard box with one half the lens wrapped in nothing and one wrapped in one thin layer of popped bubble wrap ~ I sent it back without unpacking.
I am moving on to Adorama, Roberts Camera and Mid West Photo Exchange, all of which give better honest service.

I purchased a Sunpak PZ42X flash at B&H in Nov 2011. The image displayed a flash stand with it and there was NO TEXT WHATSOEVER saying that, "accessories are optional". I made a claim with customer service and all they can say was, "oops, sorry about that, is there anything else I can do for you?" Worst customer service ever! On top of that I got different answers from phone reps, which have 0 knowledge on products... Basically, this is the last time I would purchase ANYTHING at B&H. Imagine if they would screw something up like that on a product worth $7000. I'd rather put my money with Adorama, never had any problems whatsover! If I could rate this a cero I would, but I only have a 1 option...............

My message is to express my dissatisfaction with the service provided. Make two (2) purchases the July 5, 2011 to come to Miami. The place from Peru for that country. Not finding anyone returned packages. One stay at UPS and the other returned to NY for no reason because both packages will be issued a "Hold" to stay in Miami. When contacting the Call Center B & H, coordinate delivery with Gabriel Muñoz, who gave me a lousy service to offer something that could never be. In addition, ordered the deployment of the package was in NY to Miami with urgency would only be 2 days because in this country and being a mistake you (B & H) had the decency to charge low $ 41.90. That is, I charged to my credit card an amount that you must assume. Additionally, request to hear the call of July 18, 2011 I had with Gabriel Muñoz who could not solve the impasse that had and that made me lose all day since I returned to my country (Peru) the next day (19 July 2011). Because of this man, I lost all day and made me go 3 times ProQuad UPS tells me that he had made the arrangements to pick up the package when UPS knew nothing and the last call made at 5:30 about me change the version of the conversation during the day. Request to be heard these flames as well as the one I had with David Lopez (between 5:00 and 5:30 pm) because not only treated me badly but I cry on the phone. That is, a person should not be working in that area so if you treat people who have problems as I had. If not for the people of UPS, had not been able to return to the things you buy in stores because its people could not fix anything, lost me the day and gave me a lousy deal. If they check their records, in 2009 had already made a purchase of $ 1223.00 or so and not having any problem do another this year for a total of $ 4500.00 but after treatment they have given me, I do not want to rely more on their services that they provide a very poor quality of service. I hope you hear the Call Ringtone of July 18, 2011 and take action on the matter.

I have have a long term relation with BH. Ever since I visited some relatives in NYC and went to the shop there (12 years ago!). Nowadays I'm glad I can buy online on the website, where everything went fine to me so far. Shipping, costumer service and quality are therefore good. I still prefer, but, to visit the real shop a couple of times in the year.
What I can tell? I wanted to buy CANON VIXIA HF M300 Flash Memory Camcorder.
When I saw this camera at the beginning of May 2011 the price was $349 (Regular price was $549, discount $200). A few days later the price jump by $100 to $449. Regular price raise to $649 (what is impossible) and discount left the same $200. I was very disappointed because wanted this camera for $349. And again, few days later the price jump second time to $499. Regular price raise to $699.
So, I decided to buy this camera on another store and bought it in COSTCO…………………….for $300 with the extra 8Gb SDHC cars.
Ordered an 85mm lens and I was notified the next day that it was out of stock, and an error on their part that it was sold. The item came back in stock a week later and I received it the next day, along with a coupon! Great service :)
B&H return policy is ridiculous for computers---because you cannot return them if you opened the box! I would shop at Best Buy or any other store, with a reasonable return policy. With an expensive item, you don't know if you like it until you play with it for a day or two! I am so disappointed I am stuck with this laptop!
Da det i øjeblikket ikke er muligt at købe nogle gode E-book readers i Danmark, var jeg meget glad for at se, at BH Photo leverede til Danmark.
Godt nok blev varen stoppet i tolden, så det blev en anelse dyrere, men levering, information og alt var i top fra BH Photo's side - jeg kunne sagtens finde på at bruge dem igen.
