delivery is everything
UK Mail failed on two occasions to meet their stated delivery times . This meant I waited in the house for two days when I could have been out earning a living. Tracking the shipment and talking to them directly was pointless as they did not do what they said they would. The shelving was eventually delivered by another courier.
The product is fine and I am very satisfied with it.

Great product range and excellent service
BiGDUG carry a good range of useful stuff - I've been buying from them for work and they're the only company that had properly useful vegetable racks for our kitchens, and well-priced security lockers for the casual staff that regularly work here. They also have a quick delivery service, and the automatic emails and texts let you know when everything's coming. I have no hesitation in recommending them.

Brilliant design of shelving
Illustrated instructions for assembly took some understanding, but once I got it the assembly was very easy and equally easy to alter subsequently. One of the best self assembly packages I've had recently. Delivery was very prompt and efficient.

very highly recommended.
Wanted a descent heavy duty rack which was 600 wide and bigdug had just what I wanted. It came really quickly as well and I couldn't of asked for a better rack , even better than I hoped. Very highly recommended all round.

Great price and spot on shelving.
The shelving arrived OK goes together well (bit of a knack to it, but got the hang of it after a couple of goes). amazingly strong when assembled and looks good.

If looking for quality look no further.
Excellent quality goods. Having previously used BiGDUG shelving and found them to be strong and robust we chose to order again from this company when needing further storage. Goods arrived when promised they would. Sadly though two lids for storage boxes were damaged on arrival. When we made a phone call to report this we were promised that replacement lids would be with us within the next five days. The fifth day was eight days ago and we are still waiting which is a little disappointing. Otherwise we would recommend this firm to anyone.

I'm sorry that you had some issues with damaged goods in your delivery, goods can get damaged during transit which unfortunately we cannot control. I can see that you contacted our call centre who then passed this email onto our customer service team but unfortunately we did miss this email. I can only apologise for this error on our part. An exchange has been arranged to replace the damaged lids and should be with you for delivery Tuesday.

Top service, can't fault it
Ordered two sets of shelves and they arrived in good condition and bang on time. Shelves are easy to put up and do the job perfectly. I'd certainly recommend Bigdug to friends and family.

easy to order, but problems with delivery!
I ordered good sfrom Bug Dug. The goods I ordered didn't go to depstach for soem reason (problems with the website). I had ordered next day delivery and it is only when I queries the order that this was discovered.
I was then tols the goods I ordered were not available and an alternative was sent.
I still had these the next day so it wasn't the end of the day.
It just wasn't as easy at it should have been!

Excellent product & I got to play Meccano!
I bought the Value Shelving Mega Deal and it looks great. It took me a whole afternoon to put together, so don't expect to do it much quicker if this is your first time. The process is simple enough, metali tabs slot into holes in the uprights. What takes the time is making sure that the tabs locate correctly. Sometimes they do but sometimes they have to be persuaded.
I've given it 5 starts despite the problem I had with delivery. They were dispatched the next day, but a computer somewhere along the line to the couriers decided that it didn't recognise my postcode and so substituted it with one 2 miles away.
Anyway, alls well now and I'm very please and would recommend this shelving say

Both items flimsy for workshop use; light weight in both senses.
Despite an "accurate" written description the photograph did not show just how plastic and flimsy the hooks were for the tool peg board and I am not sure how much weight the shelves will take as many of the hammers etc are quite substantial. Overall I am uncertain of my purchase but will perservere.
The boxes were too small and light for most screws, bolts and workshop odds and sodds - much more of a hobby/crafts item (given them to a lady for her jewellery making pastime.)

Credit Where Credit is Due
Big Dug Refreshing approach to business, I've order 3 times from them first order I ordered a wrong part by mistake and had to have them changed, they sent me replacement legs at no charge and no hassle, they just sent new legs and I also cancelled an order one phone call, spoke to one person and the money was back in my account 2 days later, all the appropriate paperwork was emailed and it was a good shopping experience.
I run Monekypuzzle Marketing Group and I like to think we operate a slick outfit but Big Dug was next level and something I would want to emulate.
I don't usually do these review things, but I felt in this instance I needed to give credit where credits was truly due.

Quality goods, fast delivery
I have now bought several items from Bigdug, ranging from racking to work benches. Finding the product on their site was easy with good descriptions, pictures and choice.
Everything arrived on time in perfect condition with good communication via email and with clear instructions.
I would use them every time.

Deal of the Day worth watching. Generally all other items are amongst cheapest that can be sourced. Until you add in the high delivery cost. Bit like Ryan air and hidden costs. So when comparing different suppliers make sure you check delivery costs. Bigdug would have had a lot more of my business had delivery been cheaper. However, products are as expected and provide a cheap alternative to the overpriced commercial items. I will use them again and would recommend them as the ordering is simple and I've never had any problems.

Great for site container stores
Ordered units online at 3pm and they arrived on site at 8am the following morning.
Very impressive. We use these to rack out our container on building sites.
Used to make up our own racking, which was time consuming and more expensive.
This is ideal and can be easily moved from one site to another

A very good product
I ordered one of the Mega Deals and found to be very good value for money. Online ordering was easy and straightforward. Delivery arrived and was well packaged, although the mallet was missing. When I rang to report the missing item I was told that it would have been secured to the outside of one of the packs on despatch and a refund was arranged. Assembly of the metal framework was easy, but the wooden shelves were rather too much of a snug fit and needed to be persuaded into place.

Good quality, good service, good result!
I ordered some 'Budget Widespan Racking' and was pleasantly surprised with its robustness. It was easy to assemble and adjust, and looks the part. The delivery was prompt and well organised, and the Big Dug team were impressively able to change some delivery requirements 'on the fly'.
In short my expectations were exceeded.

Excellent service
Order arrived promptly but unfortunately one part was damaged, contacted customer services with a picture of the damage and a replacement arrived the next day. Nice to deal with a company that values it's customers for a change.

good and bad
We ordered 2 types of workbench both arrived promptly :
1. the assembly of 350WBAM value workbenches was a real pain as the lugs either didn't engage in the other part to be attached or went right out the other side. Also, the melamine faced chipboard was damaged on the corners by the time it arrived.
2. the assembly of ECMW630BO Classic Mobile Benches was much easier as a better design but with only 110Kg as an even load across top shelf (rated to 200Kg) the castors fixing bolts tend to slip and did so even after re-tightening again (and I'm strong) so the whole bench is now a little lopsided. Dodgy.

Good sturdy racking when assembled.
I ordered 3 bays of the RAC orange and grey shelves and assembled the first two bays without any hitches. The third bay however took an hour and half to complete. The uprights were not 90 degrees, the connectors were bent and not straight, the braces were bent and the shelves themselves were slightly warped. had this been the first bay I tried to assembly I would have returned the whole order. The couriers had been very rough with the packages and a couple of the corners were damaged. Two of the shelves were slightly damaged and I have placed these next to the back wall. I didn't have the time or inclination to return the damaged items. Bigdug should monitor their couriers. However with my extra bracing to the back wall and screwed the units together with nuts and bolts the whole assembly is very sturdy and looks really good. thanks RR.

Free Delivery
You wished! Goods are fine, delivery efficient, cost of delivery high.
Goods should be advertised inclusive of VAT - what looks like a cheap purchase initially turns out to be rather expensive.

BIGDUG BRINGS BIG SMILE to "VIRGIN" BUYER
I wanted some shelves for the Church and stumbled on BIGDUG. They were here next day while I was eating my porridge. HONEST!! Included was the best mouth watering catalogue I've ever seen,,,,, Lots of goodies to be ordered on my next buy...This time I might try an internet order but the phone contact on my first buy was fast efficient and friendly. Fast, efficient service, the galvanised shelving I bought was easy to assemble.
It was a fast efficient service when I telephoned to place my order, but I tried to fill out their online form, to register as a new customer and place an order, three times and it kept getting stuck at a certain page, very frustrating. The galvanised shelving I bought was easy to assemble and is sturdy, I'm very happy with the product.
