Happy to take your money, but not so good at customer service.
We booked a weeks stay in a property through Blue Chip and the payment all went through fine and the house was superb, as described, etc.
The house had electronic gates and this was perfect security for us with a dog and two young girls, or so we thought. However whilst we were in the house one evening watching TV, we could hear people wandering around the outside of the property and upon looking out of the window, three men were walking around, past my car and into the garage, they were lugging stuff in and out.
This really unsettled us all, especially the children and upon contacting Blue Chip we were told by them that we had been fully briefed that people had access to the house and that they would be letting themselves onto the property during the week, without the need to tell us! I can confirm we were not informed of this, hence we were all fearful when these men were basically accessing our 'home' for the week. I understand reasonable entry is allowed and have no problems with this, but visitors need to be informed of this and contacted before people enter the property to warm them.
Blue Chip shrugged off our concerns and told us, in a nutshell, that is was tough and would not take my concerns seriously and insisted we were told of the unannounced visits to the house. I was fobbed off and feel totally deflated by their poor attitudes towards their paying customers.
This is such a shame and has put me off dealing with them again which I would have done on a regular basis as Devon is our favourite part of the UK.

We're really sorry that you were unhappy with your stay Mr Ralph. We represent over 800 properties across over 400 individual owners, and this particular owner does use the garage for storage and requires access. This owner does a 'meet and greet' with each customer, and lets them know if they may need access during their stay. We agree that this situation could be improved and have contacted the owner to request that they phone guests before visiting the property from now on. Please be assured this is a rare occurrence - we have many thousands of holidays booked through Blue Chip Holidays each year and over 95% would recommend us based on their experience.
