BLUE CHIP HOLIDAYS PRESENTED POOR QUALITY ACCOMMODATION WITH POOR QUALITY CUSTOMER SUPPORT WHEN IT ALL WENT WRONG
Blue Chip Holidays claim to have "the largest portfolio of 4 & 5 star self catering holiday accommodation in Devon...."
My disappointment is that they do not appear to uphold NORMAL 4 & 5 star standards. Why do I say that? I booked, through them, an unacceptably dirty and amateurishly presented property. I have stayed in 4 & 5 star properties all over the World, and believe me when I tell you, MAGNOLIAS isn't one of them.
Blue Chip Holidays also claim to be able to "make your next family or romantic break special". But they did not check with the Owner of the property I booked to ensure it was cleaned nor did they know that the services of the "Property Manager" offered by the owner were non-existent.
The presentation of the accommodation may have been technically accurate but it masked ridiculous lay out and total lack of information and instructions about the equipment available. In my experience the maintenance of the property was poor. Whilst on holiday the toilet flooded downstairs and Owner failed to come out to rectify the problem. Previously, when I had contacted Blue Chip Holiday they were also unable to make contact with the Owner.
Whilst other properties may be better that MAGNOLIAS, I would stay well clear of Blue Chip Holidays on the basis that your contract is with each property owner.
Blue Chip Holidays didn't appear to know its clients' properties and didn't effectively represent my detailed complaints in discussion with the Owner or offer meaningful compensation for distress caused.
All in all, Blue Chip Holidays - a very poor performance.

We do visit our properties at least once every year to make sure they are up to our own high quality standards – and over 85% of the properties on our site are graded by Visit England, the official body for holiday accommodation assessment in the UK (although the property in question has not yet been through this grading process). We also make sure that full descriptions are available on our site of the properties – including detailed descriptions of what facilities are available in each room. We act as the sole booking agent for the properties available on our website, and have a dedicated Customer Service team, so we’re disappointed to hear that you didn’t enjoy your stay fully - we will be taking your comments on board and discussing them with the property owner and property manager.
