We was going to launch with Tiger e-commerce, until they got brought out by EKM
We had he site transfered to EKM, never went live, but it was just plain hard work,
I then found BP, wow what a differance its so easy to use. OK we used zigzag to design a great site and its so easy to maintain and see all the data we never had before.
I should not give it max stars as if any of our compititors see the site, they may use BP
A great platform for ecommerce sites. Although there are templates you are free to design how you wish to. Couldn't ask for it to do any more and there is very efficient uk support on hand. We have two sites www.dvluxury.co.uk and www.ibeani.co.uk that work on the platform and it will be the platform of choice for any new site that we develop. Great platform, great staff
Having come from my own hosting and roll-your-own environment I was nervous about Bluepark taking over the Content Management and hosting of my business.. But they have consistently over-delivered on everything and often surprise me with the proactive response. They are small enough to care and have an excellent team. Their back-office setup gives plenty of excellent features, they have a positive and friendly forum for answers and their top-end API gives me access under the bonnet when I need it. I have two sites with them and get scale and consistency. I would recommend them to any online shop.
BluePark`s Software and Service is a head of the game when it comes to e-commerce, I found it reasonably easy to use bluepark`s software and if I did get stuck I would just telephone customer service and James and Katie would answer my questions, and be of great help in their response plus I would always get through without waiting, absolutely great service I would recommend Bluepark to anyone serious with e-commerce.
The best thing for me is SOMEONE answer the phone STRAIGTH away, no press nb1, nb4 and this is for me saving time and frustration over the phone! Once you talk to them, they solve problems/queries straight away and guide you as well for the best results! Well done and please keep up your phone free of robots!!

Having endured a torrid 5 months with EKM (will be leaving a scathing review on their "product" shortly) we took the decision to leave them and looked at various different options. We stumbled across Bluepark and signed up for the free trial to have a play with, it was simple enough to build a basic site using their block system which felt very intuitive. I was surprised that we got access to full telephone tech support on the free trial which we took advantage off and helped us add some great extra features such as cut offs for next day delivery, slideshows, plus a myriad of extra little features that save us time or make the process more efficient. Moving our old sites products was a piece of cake and the only thing I'm not yet used to is not having to constantly check whether the site is working or not as it is really stable!
I'd say that for the computer savvy user you can design a great website without the need for html with this platform and the support team are fantastic and eager to help.

This site needs a manual. If you are trying to run a business already and want to add this site, be prepared for some serious late nights & when you've done something be aware you may need to go back and add or correct and re-correct errors you will almost certainly make. The site is very detailed and does work, but for a non HTML user, like myself it was very hard. I wish someone had said "don't forget all the types of meta data, oh and you have no barcodes, you'll need those for google, and if you won't be able to colour search if you don't create a attribute colour set etc." There is an 0845 help number operated by Bluepark, but to be honest I feel intimidated (even now) calling, as in my opinion they're soo techy and so very clever I just come away feeling inadiquate and awkward. There is a good forum for picking up tips and some of the users seem lovely people. I wouldn't recommend taking this on if you are running a small business with hundreds of changing products (even with staff) already and are in a relationship or have kids you like!....but that's just my personal experience.
Having used EKM for over three years it was time to change to a new ecommerce provider as our business had grown and required greater functionality and flexibility without having to pay for endless add-ons.
I found Bluepark on the web and read lots of independent reviews which gave a good insight into their systems. I then signed up for the free trial so that I could see for myself whether BP had all we needed; it most certainly did! The back office felt so intuitive and was an absolute breeze to work with. Having a choice of professional templates saved redesigning our site from scratch but still offered a great degree of flexibility and customisable options without worrying about 'barfing' the site!
I had a few hurdles to overcome along the way but they were made simple by the amazing staff at BP - they are not paying me for writing this, I am honestly so impressed with their level of service and expertise. I submitted a query at 7.30am one Sunday morning when I was still creating and populating the site, thinking that by Monday sometime I might have a reply and be able to solve the problem I had; I received a reply at 8.35, less than one hour later on the same Sunday morning!!
I've also called them a few times and without fail have had my questions answered and problems solved by staff who are without doubt experts and who are most friendly and supportive.
Whether you're starting a new business or wish to create a new site for a current one, you'll be hard pressed to find a better solution and certainly one with the level and quality of support I have experienced.
Try the free trial where you can experience the functionality of the systems; I populated the trial site with my products manually as I wanted to become 'intimate' with the settings and options, but BP have a facility for importing your product and customer databases as CSV files; I imported my customer database easily and was then able to send out a mass email to let them all know about the new site.
Once I had created the trial site and tested it, I just clicked a button and BP sent it live using my current domain name; I expected a delay of at least a few hours for transferring but ten minutes after we launched there it was in all its glory! Painless!
Take a look at what can be achieved by one self-taught old fart in a short time,
I have used and worked on various ecommerce platforms over the past five years and this is easily and by far the best. You can keep your open source (for cheapos) and EKM because, unlike Bono, I HAVE found what I'm looking for!!

I thought I would pop back and update the review following the
cancellation of my EKM account.
If EKM appeared on Strictly Come Dancing they would probably be
A-byss-mall Dahling! I recently cancelled my account with EKM having
used them for over three years. I moved to Bluepark and what an
amazing experience, like living in a cave and suddenly discovering the
wonderful world outside! Below is a copy of my response to EKM's
email asking for 'cancellation feedback', something which was a
challenge as their iframe form was sized to include the form but not
the submit button!!!
I received your confirmation email with a link to a feedback form, so I
followed the link and went through the form selecting my answers;
then surprise surprise, there was no Submit button visible!
The iframe height was 1570, not quite enough to reveal the button.
That sums up why I left EKM to move to Bluepark, experts who have
quickly become friends. You should read their forum pages and see
just how many customers you have lost to them.
I did complete the survey by reloading the iframe into a new page,
not something that many dissatisfied customers might realise is
possible. Needless to say EKM did not get any kind of praise.
Just out of interest I tried logging on, only to find this message;
“Your account has been cancelled as we've been unable to take
payment from your card. Please call us on 0844 858 8580 or
alternatively sign up for a new account.”
Just in case you weren’t aware, I cancelled my account because
your customer service was abysmal and your system insecure.
When I reported that a customer had called me to let me know
when he got to the checkout page, another customer’s details
were visible, the response from your Customer Lack-of-Service
department was initially that I or the customer must be mistaken
because it was impossible for that to happen. When I called
because it happened again within two weeks, I was given the
same garbage that it has only happened twice in two years
across all of your customers, so I must be mistaken yet again.
It is that type of insult to a customer’s intelligence from some
wet-behind-the-ears techie who hasn’t been trained correctly
that really pees people off.
Because I used a redesigned template it seemed I was some
kind of pariah when it came to any technical help, even basic
questions were met with ‘you’re using your own template so you
would have to pay us to have a look at it’ attitude.
Learn a lesson or two from Bluepark:
Bluepark helped me solve an issue with a JS conflict even though
it was a script I had added, no problem and really friendly.
Bluepark gave me an additional two weeks free trial so that I could
rebuild my website on their platform.
Bluepark made all aspects of integration as seamless as possible
with only ten minutes downtime when we switched.
Bluepark upgraded accounts to unlimited bandwidth free of charge.
Bluepark have a feature-packed system that surpasses yours and
is far more flexible and intuitive, all included in the price, not loads
of add-ons with extra subscriptions.
Bluepark replied to my email query on a technical issue in less than
one hour with the correct solution, at 8.30am on a Sunday morning!

This is the fourth site I have used for my e-shop, www.staractionfigures.co.uk and they only negative thing I have to say is... I don't half wish I found them years ago!
From EKM to Tiger Commerce, and then back to EKM, I was never truly happy with the final result. Sure EKM offer a wide range of very very expensive add ons to make your site look better, after being quoted £150 just to have a rotating banner on my home page by EKM (its a 5 minute job if you know why to insert the code (Bluepark has one that is easy to apply yourself for free!)) I went on after search for a new e-shop provider and stumbled across Bluepark, via a forum post from another disgruntled ex-EKM user.
All I can say is, if I paid someone to build me a site from the ground up (and I was tempted) I would not have had a platform as good as this. There are features galore, and most importantly the admin area is very very well laid out and easy to find your way around. After moving from EKM, the Bluepark system can look a little daunting at first, but after a few days it becomes clear the reason for this is that there is just so much there compared to EKM, and you'll soon find yourself flying around it!
I give this software 5 out of 5, but it would be 10 out of 10, 100 out of a 100. I simply cannot speak highly enough of it.
Do not be put of by price which is slightly higher with Bluepark. Here you get an excellent stats reports and email newsletter included in the price. These are extras at EKM, so if you are going to use these features then price is not that much different.
This is not a review to bash EKM, but seriously, if stats are important to you (and they should be if you are serious about your online store) then comparing Blueparks stats system to EKMs, in racing terms is like comparing a Grand National Winner, to a Donkey on Blackpool beach. Here you get detailed stats on everything you can think of in great detail, it really needs to be seen to be believed.
The staff are very helpful and easy to talk to.... and they listen. I suggested a small update that would be useful I thought for most users, and got an email thanking me for my idea and it would be considered in a future update. A day later they had implemented on the system!! I cannot speak highly enough of the service they provide.
Really, I would recommend anyone serious about e-tailing to have a look at the free trail Bluepark offer. You will not regret it. I was so annoyed with EKM and their quote, I decided to move the move to Bluepark within a couple of days of finding the site and playing around with the trial. It took me two long evenings, to set the new site up and move all my items over (it really was that easy) and a although moving the products over had a small glitch that I managed to cause, a phone call to Bluepark superb customer services, soon had everything sorted and the new site was up and running in no time.
They say proof is in the pudding, and sales continue to grow month on month since the change over and there is no looking back for this e-tailer. I cannot recommend this e-shop provider enough. Brilliant stuff!
After trying various Ecommerce packages, I came across Blue Park and the key thing which came to mind was the instant access to the forum from my log on for a trial and the wealth of knowledge already on there from established users. There really is a strong community and the developers are very active on the forum too.
I have just moved my online store to Bluepark from another e-commerce provider and I have to say that dealing with Bluepark staff (James in particular) has been a breath of fresh air. Their staff know the software inside out and are only too happy to assist you with progressing your new store towards it live date. With regards to the Software, not only is it functionally rich but it is also extremely fast to load providing the customer with a far better shopping experience. There are lots of sales promoting features as well as lots of automated tasks that make running a successful online business so much easier. I have only been using the software for 3 weeks so far and I can’t wait to implement more and more of the functionality over the coming months. A great e-commerce package backed up by a knowledgeable and helpful staff … would highly recommend.

I came to bluepark because of the technical frustration with other ecommerce platforms such as magento, or cscart. First thing is the support is really punctual, they templated our site exactly how we wanted it and its phenomenally quick, the speed is incredibly important on many levels. Bar a complete customised site - Bluepark does everything you need.
Bluepark has provided outstanding support during the build up period for our website. There are more options and greater flexibility than other providers and we're in no doubt that our decision to use Bluepark will be rewarded time and time again as we're now open for business.
The online help pages and in-site help phrases would benefit from a make-over as sometimes the language is unhelpful or indistinct. Some training videos would make it really impressive.
Having used a variety of both hosted and free-source ecomm packages over the last ten years I chose to give Bluepark a try with my latest project.
Telephone support has been as close as is reasonable to expect to flawless - about a million times better than with any paid for service I subscribed to so far!. Hardly any waiting time at all and the patient and polite guys'n'gals there all really seem to 'know their onions'.
Feature and ease of use wise: First run at setting up my store was easy, sort of thing that anyone could do with not much expertise needed. Second run revealed a host of very usefull features and a degree of customisibility that is very impressive.
Verdict: If you are looking for powerfull ecomm software with excellent UK based support then this quite the 'dog's doobries'!
We have recently moved to Bluepark with 2 websites and cannot recommend them high enough. the software is extremely feature rich, very fast loading times, and easy to get to grips with the admin panel. Since swapping to them the email connection to the servers is unbelievably fast and the customer service and support from them is outstanding. The staff are friendly, their response time to queries is almost immediate and it is also nice to have them based in the UK. We really have found nothing whatsoever to reproach them about so well done guys keep up the good work
Researched the internet fully to find out the best eCommerce provider, it's tough to decide as there are many out there, some cheaper than Bluepark, however while cost is key, so is support and technical aspects of the package, all seemed to add up, the only other problem was could I trust them, so decided to look on reviews, after reviewing Trustpilot which i knew was fully independent and I knew bad reviews could be published I couldn't find any bad ones only excellent ones, which was my final tick in the box to give them a go. Only had a live eCommerce website for a couple of weeks now and from design to launch, Bluepark have been excellent, I have no reason to doubt that this will change from the service delivered so far. Therefore a fully deserved 5 star review for Bluepark.
We’ve used lots of different ecommerce platforms over the years, including Zen Cart, Magento, Bigcommerce, ekmpowershop and more…We still have sites hosted with Bigcommerce and EKM, but after Bigcommerce cancelled one of our stores the other week by mistake and we lost 4 days sales, we decided to have a look around.
After trialing most of the other options we came across Bluepark, we are based in the UK and wanted a UK Company to move to, not only for hosting reasons, but for support reasons to.
The Bluepark system is very simple to use, its not over complicated but is very powerful from a developers point of view, customisation on the design side is virtually endless. If you want to override a certain look or design, just add your extra custom css/html.
There is no need for any “add ons / apps / plugins” as the admin has all the features you would need to run a successful on-line store.
Bulk editing is a breeze, as the software only needs one mandatory field (the SKU) to import and change anything you like. We imported our products from ekmpowershop as there is a converter from that format, it may have took a little longer migrating from other platforms but overall the import/export facility is excellent.
One of the main features we like on the Bluepark front end is the refine results feature. This can be configured exactly to what you want your customers to find. We sell shoes, so we have set this feature to refine results by colour, brand, shoe size, shoe type, when selected the screen refreshes very quickly enabling the customer to find what they want very quickly, (btw…. The Bluepark load times are very excellent as well).
The reporting features .ie: site stats, sales stats are very good, we even know when google has visited us on the daily crawl.
SEO is very easy to set up, we will have to wait and see how we do on Google, but our initial thought are that the site will perform very well as all the features are there if you know how to use them, we also like the built in Blog feature.
First impressions of customer service is excellent, I have spoken to James a few times, he has answered my queries instantly and email support has been almost “live” receiving answers within minutes on some occasions.
On summary, Bluepark is exactly what we have been looking for. A solid platform based in the UK, fair hosting prices, great customer support and fantastic editability .

Before choosing my e-commerce hosting partner I looked around at many of the larger companies such as EKM Powershop and BigCommerce but I had read some concerning reviews about customer service. I came across Bluepark who are a smaller company but I could find nothing but good reviews about them and indeed my experience with them has echoed these. The functionality of the software provides 99% of my needs and the CMS is easy to navigate and operate. Most impressive however, has been the customer service with e-mail queries answered within the hour (without exception) and someone always available to speak to directly if needed to help resolve your problem, so the service feels very personal. They also seem very receptive to adding/altering functionality based on customer feedback and frequently release improvements.
I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Bluepark to anyone thinking of setting up an e-commerce business. My experience so far has been hassle-free and a total pleasure.
Moving my website after 7 years on my old platform was always going to be a headache. Over the time I've been trading I've customised it to the nth degree, and using it was as second-nature to me as breathing. So I was nervous about the move.
Bluepark have proved me wrong. Everything I have wanted to implement, I have been able to - and quite a few things I didn't know I wanted too! The system is complicated to get to know at first - but that is because there is such a huge amount of functionality and adjustibility built in. For an e-commerce platform, this has everything covered - from great navigation aids, to almost infinitely customisable discounts, shipping rules, additions and variants - the system handles whatever you throw at it.
I had to get the site built and launched in weeks - which was always going to be difficult, but I managed it thanks to an intuitive design of the back-end, and some incredible support from the BP team. On several occassions I sent queries through late at night or on the weekends, to the support email address, and received an email back within minutes. As a print designer who has run my own site for 7 years, I know a lot of html and css but have huge holes in my knowledge as I'm self-taught. The team helped whereever they could with my often daft questions, and made me feel as though I had the support I needed.
Before being recommended BP by another person who works in my industry, I was struggling along trying to use a wordpress ecommerce platform, and it was a complete waste of time. I would say that for anyone who wants serious ecommerce applications for their site, Bluepark is a great option - and I would recommend them without hesitation.

When considering a supplier for your e-commerce site, I think most important factor to consider is that you are placing your business in the suppliers hands and need to feel totally confident in the supplier
Bluepark have a highly configurable offering, easy to set up using defaults.
Support is better than I have experienced with other hosting and e-commerce site suppliers. e.g.
When you place an order, the order is fulfilled almost instantaneously (unlike my experience with a well known other hosting company, 8 weeks waiting and gave up).
Support questions are answered quickly with a solution (not left for days/weeks with no response, apart from an initial we are looking in to it, - as my frequent experience with multiple other hosting sites).
Pricing is excellent for the service level provided.
Helpful community forum.
More than adequate storage and traffic allowance.
Can't provide objective comment on the server speed/site loading speed as haven't tested specific times and depends on content, but subjectively from my experience and others who tested my site for me it appears to be fast.
SEO has been thought about and optimised (up to you to fine tune this)
Appearance on mobile devices looks fine.

So far we have been very pleased with there telephone and email support answering all our quires promptly and satisfactory. The Blue park platform must be one of the best Uk hosted platforms around, More features and flexibility that i care to mention and will ever need and so logical and easy to setup and no more annoying platform coding bugs that we previously had to contend with from or previous providers.
I am a complete novice, absolutely no experience. I found it fairly easy to build my website, the support team are always there and answered all my queries quickly. My site is still in its early stages and I know through Blue Park there is still so much more I can do with it. Brilliant all round.

Having used many different systems since 2001 when we started trading online, Blue Park is by far the best system we have used to date. It’s massive undergoing moving website, but has been well worth it and there support and guidance has been amazing. Since going live with our new site we have been very busy with orders and had lots of positive comments from our regular customers.
Our old version of our site www.vacuumbags2u.co.uk of 10 years, was sufffering a slow death before we took the plunge and switched to Bluepark. First order after 20 minutes of going live and sales have been gathering pace since. The up to date tools are such a bonus and make the organisation of the orders so straightforward. I've made a few bad decisions over the years, but this wasn't one of them.
My first website cost the best part of £10K and as time went by, it became more and more cumbersome and frustrating with no development and upgrade path, beyond spending another small fortune. So I was a naturally hesitant about moving lock, stock and barrel to another service. Scared of all the technical hurdles as well as losing all the links and high web ranking which we had built up over the previous 7 years. It was a huge decision to make and I certainly did my research before taking the first step.
However, without doubt I can now say it was the best decision I've made and I can't recommend Bluepark enough. I started with the demo and then have moved through each package, each time being thrilled to find all the features slick and functional. As a small company I tried not to trouble them too much, but when I did, they were patient and clear about each technical issue or question I put to them. They understood my fears and have held our hands when needed, especially when the time came to throw the switch.
Of course there are a few and I do mean very few little features I would love to tweak, but hey, they are providing a superior service and better value for money package than I've had before and I feel they are definitely interested in seeing us succeed with our activities.
As a web service they are top notch, as technical support they are always on the ball and as people they have become like old friends. If you are looking for a shop web package then you'll never regret choosing them. I didn't and I have no hesitation in giving this reference a 5* rating.
easy to use, can do almost everythin, only thing that needs alot of work in here is the shoptalk system, because i cant change first sentence and it is not fully working, for example if i write to someone he/she will recive the message but if the other way around then i wont recive messages, but everything else in here is brilliant.
It is really hard trying to choose a good internet shop solution and I stumbled upon Bluepark by accident but I am glad I did! Very easy to navigate and to date I have never had a problem. I would (and have) recommend Bluepark to anyone.
We have looked at several eCommerce CMS systems, and even signed up to another one before we discovered Bluepark. The system is highly flexible, very easy, and extremely fast. Every CMS company offers support, but few seem to provide it like Bluepark who are there on the telephone and respond by email, usually within minutes. The forum is proactive and useful, and Bluepark customers are only too happy to help each other. Top marks!
