Clever - no, helpful - yes!

I have made many orders with The Book Depository in the past. On those experiences, I would very happily recommend them for price, speed and efficiency. However, I must also point out that the most recent order was bungled! I made the order, but did not receive the books. I e-mailed them and it took a couple of days for them to reply. When they did, they said that they had sent the items but Royal Mail had returned the parcel to them undelivered. They then asked if the address was correct. The address they had sent them to was just my name followed by my town and county! No house number or road name! Considering I have an account with them and have made many past orders, there is no reason for them not to know all my details. My address is on my account information. Which was also on the order confirmation at checkout! So there is no excuse for that mistake. It is also shocking that they didn't realise their mistake when the parcel was returned to them, or when they replied to my email, asking me to confirm the address details were correct!
However, they re-addressed the parcel, correctly, and had it sent out immediately.
I would still be more than happy to use them. It was a stupid mistake, but they were helpful and efficent in correcting it.

First Call for Books

Book Depository is always my first call for books. I buy a lot of Manga (Japanese Comics) and Book Depository always have what I need, if it is not in stock then they will do their best to source it for you. Their prices are consistently the lowest and more often than not they better Amazons prices, which is saying something.

I have made over 100 orders with Book Depository over about 3 years and am yet to be disappointed by them.

Great service

The funny thing is, for some of the books they sell, they're only a penny cheaper than Amazon. That said, I much prefer giving my business to an outfit that specialises in books.

Have ordered a few books and comics from them and can say 5/5. Good delivery not bad at all. Normally recieve everything within a week and the packaging is sufficient especiall with larger hardbacks I have ordered.

Impressive

I was wanting a book and found it for around £20 even on ebay it was still around £15. Searched on Google and found bookdepository which had the book for less than £10 with free P&P.

Ordered it and received it a day later well packaged so cannot complain about that service

Jeg har bestilt fra bookdepository rigtig mange gange, og det er min foretrukne internetboghandel. Lidt træls at de ikke sender til Danmark lige pt. pga momsreglerne, men har altid oplevet rigtig god service, hurtig forsendelse og virkelig gode priser!

Stadig fuldt tilfreds efter et par års brug

Over de sidste par år har jeg adskillige gange benyttet www.bookdepository.co.uk, da deres priser ofte er mærkbart lavere, end hvad www.amazon.co.uk kan tilbyde - og så leverer de jo til Danmark ganske gratis!

Jeg har i alt købt 15-20 bøger fra www.bookdepository.co.uk og har faktisk aldrig haft en dårlig oplevelse. Bestiller man flere bøger samtidig, sendes de automatisk separat - og stadig gratis - og leverancen forsinkes dermed ikke, hvis en enkelt bog f.eks. har længere leveringstid end de øvrige. Det er min erfaring, at leveringstiden fint svarer til, hvad der loves, og bestillingsprocessen er overskuelig og ukompliceret.

En enkelt gang har jeg oplevet, at en bog, jeg havde bestilt, alligevel ikke var på lager, og selvom det selvfølgelig var ærgerligt, var deres kundeservice hurtig til at forklare mig situationen, og mine penge blev straks ført tilbage.

Med andre ord kan jeg sagtens anbefale www.bookdepository.co.uk, specielt hvis man ved, hvad man går efter.

Netboghandlen, hvor bøger kommer og går...

Billige bøger, men har oplevet at bestille en fagbog og efter 2 uger fik jeg at vide de ikke kunne skaffe den (på trods af at der på hjemmesiden stod at de havde den på lager da jeg bestilte den). Samme dag, som de havde afbestil bogen stod den pludselig som værende på lager igen (men til en højere pris). Jeg prøvede at bestille en anden bog, som der stod de havde på lager, men der skete fuldstændig det samme som ovenfor. Jeg skrev til dem for at høre, hvad der foregik, men fik bare et standardsvar tilbage om at jeg jo var velkommen til at 'prøve' at bestille bogen igen til den højere pris (ca. 100 kroner mere end den oprindeligt stod til). Jeg syntes det lugter lidt.
