A t ouch of Britain in Madeira
What a joy to be able to get the foods I miss, tired to adapt to food here but there are just some things you cannot do without. baked beans yummy,spaghetti in tomato sauce and too many to list.
I found prices quite reasonable and was very happy with the postage being we are an island . Site was easy to use and I spoke on the chat line and was very impressed with it.
I had a problem with bent tins and a leakage but it was dealt with most effectively
Will use this site often and hope it continues to function..

could be better
One item (baking powder) had burst in the box, covering everything else but everything else was well wrapped, so no major harm done.
3 items had been replaced with similar products - none quite what I wanted but I had ticked the box. But Disney and Barbie are really not the same to a 3 year old girl.
I was out for the first attempted delivery. For the second attempt, the driver was told not to come between 8.45 and 9.15 which is when I drop my daughter off at school but i got back to find a card stating attempted delivery at 8.56. He was called and came back about 30 mins later but it should have been avoided.

Stop those food withdrawal feelings get all those goodies not available in France at the British Corner Shop
Such a boon to be able to fill my larder in France with all the necessities and goodies that are not available over here. An easy to shop website with a good variety of food and now chilled items. The parcel arrives quickly and well packed and is great fun to
open to find all the ordered goods to brighten up mealtimes out here.
If any problems arise then the staff are only to ready to help and the giving of points is a bonus for the shopper making the next buy a little cheaper. Well worth a visit to the website if that unattainable item of food cannot be found where you are domiciled and
then it can be added to your basket with other tempting items.

Good Selection
I wanted to send a friend in New York a "Taste of Britain". I checked several websites and this one seemed the most professional. It has a great selection. Delivery was very prompt and my friend is very happy with her gift. I will definitely use BCS again !

No need to buy a plane ticket to Belgium!
I am from the Bahamas. As a child, my grandmother would take us to the store of her friend and she'd give us the only sweets we were allowed to eat--Iced Gems. They have long since disappeared in my country. In early May, I accompanied a group of teens to Belgium for an event. One afternoon the hosts brought out snacks and lo and behold on the table were iced-Gems. I broke down in tears of joy when I saw them and so many memories of my recently deceased grandmother came flooding back. Before I left Belgium, I found a store and bought 4 big bags of them. Upon return to Switzerland I rationed them into smaller bags thinking I'd make them last as long as I could. WITHIN ONE WEEK they were all gone. I frantically searched stores in nearby France and in Switzerland looking for anyone who may have seen iced-gems on the shelves. No luck. Then I went online to buy a ticket to travel to Belgium to buy more! I accidently came across Bristish Corner Shop, saw that they had them and that I could pay using PayPal. I was so happy I ordered right away. I wasn't sure if they'd be the same quality....but they are even BETTER than the ones I got in Belgium. YIPEE....now I can order them anytime I run out and they'll be here in a week. I do hope they will be around for a long time!

Brilliant service,Customer friendly,Seriously good.
This is the first time i have used BCS ,i found the staff to be extremely helpful with any queeries you may encounter.As for the packaging , oh dear, oh dear it was packed absolutely BRILLIANTLY,extra benefit is the added bonus of another hobby, bubble popping with all the packaging .the deliver into crete came on time. Ups brought the 24 kilo package as special delivery, all of 400 metres from the depot. I have looked at finding something negative to say ,but nothing,near perfection. Would i recommend bcs to anyone, the answer most definitely.Oh thank you for the little present,most unexpected. Untill the next time thanks and bye. P H BAXTER.

Loved it!
Vast variety of products that were delivered in no time. They have a reasonable flat shipping rate and the website actually shows you how much space you have left so that you know when you have reached the maximum allowed weight.
All items were packed separately in bubble wrap so everything reached me in perfect condition. Would definitely recommend it and will be back myself

Everything melted
I'm not quite sure how to fix this but the chocolate was so melted that when it arrived with me it was liquid!
It must have had transit temperatures of over 40 degrees!
I am now extremely nervous to eat the food and will have to seriously consider whether or not I would order again I'm sorry to say.

Cannot comment as nothing arrived yet
Selection of products is fine but feedback on delivery is totally unacceptable. I was advised that my goods were packed and shipped on the 31st May and tracking told me the package was passed for export on the 1st June. Now the 7th June (effectively 8th June as post has finished for today) with no package and no update on where my order is. Good job there were no perishables in there !!
This was my first order and it will most definitely be my last. I have a host of ex-pat collegues waiting on my feedback and I assure you this will not be positive. We'll stick with the overpriced Indian supermarkets in future.

We say in our terms and conditions that it can take between 7-12 working days for orders to reach destinations outside of Europe. You placed your order at 6pm UK time on Friday 24th May, which was a bank holiday weekend here; therefore the first working day after placing your order would have been Tuesday 28th May.
This means that today is the 9th working day, and so your order should arrive with you by Wednesday 12th June.
However, a member of our customer services team is currently tracking your order and will email you with an up date on the exact day it should arrive with you.
We hope this has not put you off using our services again, and should you have any further questions regarding your order please don't hesitate to ask our customer services team.

Prompt, efficient delivery. My only quibble would be that some cereal bars and cake were slightly squashed, because they had not been packed on top.

Great and Hassle free service
Well where do I start we live on a very small island in Greece and some of the items we miss we have no way of getting here so off to BCS we went and they had everything we wanted including MALT VINEGAR which the Greek shops have never heard of.. So we put the order in its great you have a sliding scale that tells you how much you can get in the box and the items are great to all of the things we wanted even items on sale, I have never eaten a Thornton's Easter egg on the beach is Greece in June and it was on sale!!!... so cant wait for all of this to be eaten so we can order again... Oh and it only took 7 days to arrive. So very happy with the service and will use again soon....

Great service an low prices!
I used to order my British grub from another supplier but my recent order did not go through owing to a credit card issue. I tried to place the order by phone but was told to try the web site again.
Repeating the same behavior while expecting a different outcome is one definition of madness so I scoured the web for another supplier and found the "British Corner Shop". To make things even better I saved money on the items ordered as well as the shipping and handling.
Next time I hope the British Corner Shop will stock Marmite 400g "Squeezy" packs as well at the 500g glass jars that are not ideal for international shipment.

Brilliant Service, Brilliant Products, Brilliant Prices... Just Brilliant Really
I ordered various products from BCS a few days ago, some of which were bottles which made me a little nervous as I didn't know how they could pull of the task of packaging and shipping bottles safely.
When I first discovered the website, I was very impressed! The range of products is amazing and the prices are very competitive! I was unsure at first as it's unfamiliar ordering such products online to be delivered by courier but I was soon very impressed!
The order process was simple and effective. As they ship via parcelforce, boxes are allowed to be a maximum of 28 kg, it is therefore important that you know what will be in each box. To address this, the website uses a very simple, graphical method to show you how full each box is and what's in it. Adding products is simple and easy and the overall order process was actually enjoyable.
I also loved the order tracking system; it allows you to see when each individual item has been collected from the warehouse to be packed and also tells you the name of the individual who packed your order. I would, personally, like to thank Gary Curtis for packing my order brilliantly and very quickly!
The parcel was received the next day from when it was despatched, it was safe and on time; What more could one ask for?
I did at one point also speak to customer services who were very friendly and helpful, a credit to the company!
Overall, BCS provides a brilliant service! I enjoyed the whole order process and will be back again soon to buy many more items! The products were of the highest quality, prices were as expected and the quality of service from ordering to delivery was impeccable. I wish BCS every success in the future and will be back to order again very soon!

Parcel was received yesterday in battered condition,having spent 5 days in Shanghai and the been opened by Australia Post.(Presumably because of coming out of Shanghai.Although goods were packed extremely well,because of the battering the Digestive biscuits had many broken and crumbed.

Quick and efficient service to Austria
The large package arrived within a week of placing the order and everything was as ordered apart from one replacement item. One tin of Golden Syrup had leaked and made a sticky corner of the box! But no real problem. It is very useful to be able to get these items that are otherwise not easily available here, and now that the shipping cost has been reduced to Austria I will certainly use the service again, once we have finished the 7kg of Black Treacle!

Well what can I say except brilliant!
I was initially quite nervous about making such a large order as it was my first time. But I clearly had no need to have any concerns at all.
The layout of the pages and the ordering system are so simple and very customer friendly.There is nothing complicated about placing an order or paying for it,as a technofobe I was really impressed and pleased with the whole experience. There is a great selection of goods available and the prices are very competitive.The sell by dates all have plenty of life on them which is a bonus.
When the box arrived,(on the day and date I had been advised) I was so excited! It felt like Christmas and I couldn't wait to open my treasure chest of beloved stuff ie Garners Pickled Onions and Red Cabbage,Marmite and much much more!! Sad but true, I'm a simple and very satisfied soul:)
The packaging was a work of art,I wish I could return all the bubble wrap to you.We've relocated here in Portugal from Abu Dhabi and have enough bubble wrap to last us for years!
I must also mention how much pleasure our cat Tinky Minky had opening and climbing into the box!! She says your boxes are far superior to some of the Amazon ones we've received recently!! It now has pride of place in her outdoor enclosure where she spends the sunny days happy in her lovely box!! So we're recycling as much as we can!!
So only one thing to add PLEASE PLEASE bring chilled goods to Portugal!! We can't get good quality bacon here for our bacon butties!!!
I'm looking forward to placing my next order soon, although my husband has rationed my intake of the pickled onions!!

My best experience so far, with British Corner Shop.
I've been using British Corner Shop for English favourites and essentials, to Sweden for about 4 years.
This has been my best experience, no leakages, everything well packed, and nothing missing or damaged.
I was very happy to get half price postage and see that the prices had been reduced on some of my most ordered products.
UPS were excellent, and although I was out on the first attempt at delivery, it wasn't a problem and they delivered the following day.
A 5 star service!
