Sales service great - After-sales service rubbish

Laptop number one failed to work and was completely dead after a week - it was returned and took constant phone calls to their office to finally get their acknowledgement that it was unfixable and a replacement was offered which I accepted

A week later it laptop 2 eventually arrived

Laptop two failed after two weeks - again completely dead - it was returned at their request following a phone call with their technicians

Despite their 48hr after-sales promise, five days later I'd heard nothing so emailed them cancelling the order and requesting a refund

They refused saying there was nothing wrong with the laptop

Under the Sale of Goods Act the laptop was not fit for purpose and returned at their request

Still no joy and no refund and I'm having to submit a small claims court action today to get my money back

If you want good after-sales service go to a reputable dealer - not Laptops Direct

My cabinet looked good on the website but was even more of an eyecatcher when it came. Was all unpacked and assembled for me, very pleased. I would definatly shop here first next time.

Ordered on Sunday night. Requested prompt delivery by the Wednesday at the latest. Large package arrived by Tuesday lunch time.

Good firm to deal with online

Had to wait a couple of weeks for the delivery which was no problem as it was coming direct from the makers. Good delivery well packed and very friendly staff. They unpacked the item for me to check and took away the packaging .Well PLEASED

CRAP

In all I think that the service given has been exceptionally poor so far...THE SAGA CONTINUES TO THIS DAY! I paid for my order on the 13th November and was told that delivery into your warehouse would be on the 4th December with delivery to my self by that weekend. I paid £66 for a Saturday delivery on this basis. Needless to say, the order didn't arrive as promised. I then contacted customer services team and was told it would definitely be the next Saturday. .. I waited in all day again. ..no order arrived... I emailed and called again and was told that the delivery was definitely the 21st. ..again no order arrived. Christmas eve morning I received a text saying that the table and chairs would be delivered that day. ..again I waited in all Christmas eve...nothing arrived! Then on Friday 27th DEC the order arrived. ..it was a good job I was in! However what was delivered was a damaged dining room table and 2 chairs (out of the four chairs which were supposed to be supplied with the table)...and a bedstead! The bedstead was naturally rejected and sent back with the drivers. So in summary I am missing x2 chairs...Then when I unpacked the table for assembly I discovered that the table top is split on the underside...plus I paid £66 for a Saturday delivery which despite failing to arrive x4 times eventually arrived on a Friday incomplete, inaccurate and damaged. 12 phones calls and 30 or so emails , and exactly ONE MONTH later and still I have a damaged table top and 2 chairs missing...NO COMMUNICATION, NO REMEDIAL ACTION with staff who are as useful as a chocolate Fireguard! I am still missing x2 Chairs which I ordered and PAID FOR! and the Table is still in my house with a Split in the wood on the underside... I have now contacted Trading Standards, Watchdog and my Solicitor! SHARKS!

BUY IT DIRECT ( then if anything goes wrong good luck)

I purchased a tablet from Buy it Direct, The sales team were brilliant and helped all the way.
However when it went faulty after less than 2 months all I got from this company was very poor service, blatant lies and riddicule. I and my friends and family have used this company many tiimes in the past but will never use them again. Better paying a little more and dealing with an honest reliable company who think that aftersales is as important as sales.
DEFINATLY DO NOT RECCOMEND

POOR, POOR, POOR

Fine whilst dealing with the sales team, but once you go back to them (Laptops Direct) with aftersales problems, pull out all the stops and excuses to avoid honouring the warranty.

I notice that the good reviews on here are from the lucky people commenting on the helpful sales team and delivery. They just need to hope they don't need any aftersales help, because they'd soon take the stars off their reviews then!

Avoid, avoid, avoid.

Immediate service and support when I needed it

Bought a new laptop. Researched spec beforehand, one question answered immediately by a call back after to me after my online enquiry. Arrived within two days, exactly as ordered. One minor technical query dealt with by after sales support service promptly and effectively. I will check out buyitdirect.co.uk next time I plan a purchase.

I was so pleased with the quality of the headboard and the excellent service I received from this company that I immediately ordered another. Out went my old metal headboards & in place I have Julien Bowen wooden ones, the cheapest site I could find plus free delivery. Brilliant service.

Stay clear of Furniture 123 and Buy It Direct (Same Company)

I purchased bedroom furniture to the value of £338.93 from this company only to find that one cabinet was damaged and the other 2 they had sent me the wrong cabinets. I sent them photos of the damage and requested that they replace the wrong cabinet and was even prepared to keep the damaged cabinet for a discount. It has taken a week of emails some they receive and conveniently some they dont. I have become that sick that I have contacted them by telephone to request that they come and take everything away and to give me a refund so that I can take my business elsewhere. They are now dragging their heels with the collection which in turn will delay the refund.
STAY CLEAR OF THIS COMPANY AS THEIR CUSTOMER SERVICE IS EXTREMELY BAD - THEY DONT CARE ABOUT THEIR CUSTOMERS

Very poor processes and service..

Have ordered many times from this company - each time with a problem! - so am now at the point where I give up as they clearly don't value service.
Always deliver late - then on this occasion... still no goods and told would take another week... ask for refund and they wont even do that until they receive the goods from their own delivery company! what does that have to do with me?!

Tried hard to give them the benefit of the doubt on too many occasions.

Systems

I would have been thrilled but for 2 things :

1. Your payment system. It is impossible to forward the purchase to an address other than the one used by the credit card company - perhaps in the UK it is possible but abroad, not. This caused problems as the address used by VISA is my P O Box no. As a result
2. I had a problem getting my product as it couldn't be delivered to a box no. It was no easy task getting the local details of your delivery service providers

I am only a customer because they supply for my insurers but I would not wish them on my worst enemy which is sad because although their initial service was in itself so so it was their delivery driver from Hi Way Express who was appalling confrontational and rude I really would urge everyone to steer well clear there are plenty of firms out there with courteous and professional employees, there is no place for this firm in their current state. I am left with a feeling of disgust and disdain along with an unpacked cooker in my hall !!!!!

STEER CLEAR!!!
My boyfriend bought me a brand new Windows 8 laptop as a gift for Christmas and it broke within 3 days. Wouldn't recognise my password and I was definitely entering the correct one. Customer services seemed helpful enough at first but when technical services couldn't help they have decided that I'm not getting a replacement as I've obviously just forgotten my password and it's my own fault! However, if 3 different media companies can't do a simple password reset, it's obviously not just a forgotten password. Customer services have not been contacting me to update me with any new information - I've had to ring them every time to chase them up. This complaint is ongoing.

TOOK MY MONEY, NO ITEM EXSISTED

I purchased a Sumvision Cyclone Voyager Tablet 10.1 off the eBay on a "Buy It Now" option. They took the money only for them the very next day to send me an email saying that the item was not in stock and that "Our Sales Team will be in touch shortly to discuss alternatives. Our expert team will, wherever possible, be able to offer you a similar product to your first choice".
I told them I wanted my money back, they told me that I had to wait 48 hours.... Now hold on a minute.... They can take the money for an item that doesn't exsist RIGHT AWAY, but I'm supposed to wait 48 hours for my refund? I think not. I contacted PAYPAL who sent them this email:
"Buyer’s eBay User ID: w********
Payment date: 2nd January 2012
Payment amount: 154.97

You have contacted this buyer to advise that you do not have the item in stock and you are going to be issuing a refund to the buyer. You also advised the buyer that it will take you over 48hrs in order to issue this refund.

I would highly recommend you issue the refund with immediate effect as the buyer paid in good faith and the payment completed to you on the same day 2nd January 2012.

Failure to do so will result in the creditor filing a dispute against you or a credit card chargeback.

Do not go near these clowns

I bought a Sony Vaio from them. The Laptop duly came and the security seal had been broken. A sticker claiming the memory had been upgraded was attached. This was utter rubbish, the memory was the same amount as advertised. The manual was tatty and nothing was sealed. It was clear the laptop had been out before and been returned. The final straw came when I booted it up and the default language was Polish !! I rang them and arranged to return the unit at my expense £22.00 !. When I finally did get a refund, they deducted £50.00 to restore it to factory settings !!. Id not even made any changes. They advised me to complain to Tina Fuller. How she has a job Il never know. I have emailed them 4 times but they never respond. Im now leaving it to my Credit card company to sort out. They may be a bit cheaper, but believe me, its just not worth it. Please please please, steer well clear .
