Great service from a local company

I have recently bought a dishwasher from Buywise. After an absolute fiasco by John Lewis (apparently they are unable to offer an installation service in Banbury), I learned a valuable lesson that buying local is usually best.

There was a bit of a delay in delivering the dishwasher as it wasn't in stock, but Buywise kept me up-to-date and the delivery team did a great, professional job in installing it.

Scoured the Internet for a new fridge/freezer but in the end it was an absolute no-brainer to use the 'local hero' that is BUYWISE. Joe and his team are efficient, personable, great value for money. They delivered my new appliance, put it in place, unwrapped and installed and then removed my old fridge. People bemoan the fact that our town centre shops are dying but we must 'use them or lose them' and celebrate our local businesses and the great customer service that they provide. I wouldn't hesitate to use BUYWISE again, not least because the boys are so good looking!!

If only more companies were this good.

Great prices. Prompt service. Polite staff and the delivery guys where brilliant. Nothing was too much trouble. Delivery on time, unpacked the appliances for inspection then took packaging away. Total experience was professional from start to finish.

Awesome customer service and great prices!

I am a repeat customer of Buywise Domestics. Their sales staff are knowledgeable and helpful, and their prices are often lower than on-line prices. They arranged delivery of my new Bosch washing machine, complete with fitting and recycling of my old machine. I have no hesitation in recommending them.

A great company with competitive prices

My new Blomberg oven was recently purchased from and installed by Buywise, it arrived with no issues on the agreed delivery date. I am very pleased with it and with the service provided. I was also impressed with the competitive prices offered.

I have been a WHICH? member for years and urgently needed a new washer for a large household

It was not worth repairing the old Bosch that we had so I looked through their recommendations and found that the Miele was out of our price range and instead opted for the Bosch WAQ28461GB – which had WHICH's highest rating of 70%

The price difference was substantial – from £539 for John Lewis (without delivery, installation or recycling) – who are just round the corner from where I live, to £399 from one of the internet suppliers

In the end I bought it from Buywise Domestics of Banbury as they could get it to me in 24 hours – while the other suppliers were all quoting 5 to 10 working days delivery for central London

With delivery, connection and recycling, the was cost £448.96!!!! over £100 cheaper than John Lewis!!

Angela and Hazel in the Buywise office pulled out all the stops to get it here as promised 24 hours later and Wayne and Pete went waaaaaaay beyond the call of duty when delivering to get the machines up and down some very narrow, steep stairs and even took the door off to get it into the very small kitchen!

Best service ever!!

Snow stopped the country but Buywise delivered on time!

What service: they delivered my new Bosch dishwasher within the appointed time slot when thousands of business and schools were closed because of snow. This superior delivery service was on top of the excellent sales service and fantastic value compared to their competitors.

Great price, great service

I have been after a new washing machine and went to John Lewis to view a few models.
After doing some research I thought I would check a local independant company and I'm glad I did!
Price was the cheapest on the internet and the machine was delivered and installed within days.
I would not hesitate to use them again

Excellent service...and prices!

Ordered a Miele gas hob and a large Britannia cooker hood. Both were delivered in good condition on the day promised. The prices were very competitive too. Excellent communication from Buywise letting me know what was going on and confirming delivery arrangements. In short, buy from Buywise with confidence.

Excellent Service from Inital order to Delivery

I was looking for a specific washer dryer online & Buywise had it at the best price. Having never heard of buywise of banbury (as i don't live near banbury!) i read through several reviews & i felt confident it was a trustworthy company & i wasn't dissappointed.
I ended up ordering over the phone, and it was a pleasure speaking to the salesman who confirmed they had the item & that they could deliver at a suitable time (i may have got delivery sooner from a larger company, but doubt i'd have recieved as good a service! so was happy to wait a few days).
A relative took delivery for me & was more than impressed by the delivery guys they use. Who notify you when they know what time they'll arrive.
All in all, very impressed with Buywise.. & will definetly use them in the future.

Buy local for a real customer experience

Thank you to Buywise of Banbury who came up with my new Bosch Logixx larder fridge ( the funky one with the pull out shelves and drawers) at best price and delivered exactly as promised.

Fantastic service from ordering to delivery

Cannot fault the service received from ordering to delivery. Placed order over the internet and then received phone call to confirm and delivery was on time with confirmation call on the day.

Fantastic customer service!

We had to return the product which had a design fault. It took a fair bit of phoning with the manufacturer to get them to take it back but Buywise were very supportive and emailed me to keep in the loop about progress etc.

Good price, dodgy initial customer serviced but reprieved in the end!

Best price I could find, phoned to check stock and there was 1 item left and I was told that it had been reserved for me for delivery on Monday (the only day I could be at home to take the delivery) so I placed the order online as instructed by the sales clerk. That afternoon I had a call from a different sales clerk to say the last item (that was reserved for me) had been sold and couldn't be delivered for another week. She was rude and I cancelled the order. Then I had a call back and i flew off the handle - the manager sorted it for me and got me a delivery for Monday. Sorted in the end but was very frustrating. Despite this I would still prefer spending money with a smaller business than a big chain.

Great customer service!

I was really pleased with the whole experience from Buywise. Friendly helpful service and importantly up to date communication on delivery. I had pre-arranged to be called 20-30 minutes before delivery so I could pop home from work, take delivery and then go back to work. This was really useful since it meant I didn't need to take holiday and didn't need to wait around for a 8AM - 6PM delivery window like some other companies. Product was well packaged.

I bought our new washing machine from Buywise as I prefer to support independant businesses rather than bigger companies. The service is always better and the people know what they are talking about much more. This was the case with Buywise and I would not hesitate to use them again next time I need anything.

Very helpful service

We bought a Bosch washing machine in June 2012 from Buywise. We ordered on Sat night and received a phone call to arrange delivery at 9am on Mon. They only had a display model left in the washing machine we had ordered and it was an end of line model so they ensured that we would be happy to receive this and reassured us that the machine had been checked over and was in perfect condition (it was). They were very helpful and went out of their way to arrange the delivery at a time to suit us on the day of delivery. Delivery and nstallation service was very good too, they had forgotten to call ahead as arranged but apologised for this. Nice to deal with a company that has a personal and helpful service.

I wouldn't go anywhere else!

I can thoroughly recommend Buywise for their personal service, wide range and excellent pricing. It's so refreshing to deal with a Company with faces and to get reliable advice. Nothing was too much trouble.

Very helpful

Ordered two large kitchen items and they phoned very quickly to explain one was not in stock and offered a replacement. I declined so delivered items separately and delivery men were extremely polite calling me before they arrived.

A company with immaculate service

We ordered a Bosch freezer which was difficult to source.
We were told exactly when it was to arrive- which it did.
We missed a small dent on it - this was spotted by the delivery men- compensation from Bosch was sort on our behalf by Buywise and obtained in very short order. An excellent buying experience. In addition all our phone calls were answered by 'humans' who did what they said they were going to do. Brilliant!

Very uneventful transaction - I turned up, I chose a fridge, paid a cracking price, went for a coffee, went home, then a man with a big yellow van turned up with my new fridge. Simple. You certainly dont get that at Dixons!

Clever guys shop at Buywise

I bought a small wine cooler from Buywise. I am in the business of getting a good deal. No matter where I looked you cannot beat BUYWISE. This is a great product bought from a great company.I contacted the company who are in Banbury and the lady was really polite and helpful. Even the BUYWISE driver (the big fellow) was a top geezer. I love this company to bits

Failed to deliver

I chose to buy a dishwasher from Buywise based on their competitive prices and promises of speedy delivery and excellent customer service. Sadly, they failed to deliver.

Following the initial email confirmation of my order I had no further contact from Buywise. No emails, no telephone calls. I called them twice and each time was assured that my order was being processed and someone would be in touch to discuss delivery times; however, these turned out to be empty promises.

12 days after placing my order, and with no dishwasher in sight, I called them again to cancel my order. This time I spoke to Eric who was very apologetic and helpful - he arranged for a refund of my payment within a couple of hours of our conversation.

As someone who is keen to help independent companies I feel let down by this experience, especially given the glowing testimonials on the Buywise website. Sadly I have now taken my business to a high street name whose customer service can be relied upon.

Prior to your order we did inform you that ourselves and our supplier Bosch didn't have stock of the particular Dishwasher you wanted. We would only normally contact the customer once the order is ready to dispatch.

This is not our normal service as you can see from our other customer reviews. We hope that you can give the independent companies another try soon.

Great service

Buywise had the best price for the specific Bosch Dishwasher i was after. Having called Buywise and and talked to Eric - he advised that it was not in stock but would be delivered to their depot a few days later. Dishwasher arrived on schedule the following week. I am very pleased with the service and would certainly recommend them.

Buywise offered the best prices for my chosen Bosch dishwasher and fridge, and after helpful advice from Eric, the appliances arrived on schedule, as arranged, the following week. In no time at all, Wayne had unloaded, unwrapped and installed both items, and couldn't have been more courteous and helpful. I'm delighted with both machines and fully recommend Buywise. I'll definitely use them again.

Perfect Service

I was buying online on behalf of my elderly father. I was attracted to Buywise because of the good price they were offering on the freezer we wanted to buy, but got service that was simply beyond all expectation. Buywise gave a clear commitment to the delivery date and agreed to help him transfer his frozen food from his old freezer to the new one: at no extra cost. On the day all went according to plan and the delivery men even refused a tip for their extra trouble. I can't praise Buywise highly enough.

Very quick, straight forward service!

I was a bit unsure about buying a washing machine online. As soon as i ordered it I was so glad that I had, the service I received from Buywise Domestics was very quick, straight forward and I was kept informed every step of the way.The last two washing machines I have had have been Zanussi's.They have been excellent which is why I wanted another one. I looked everywhere and this was by far the best deal online!

Excellent all round

Very good service from the lady on the phone, understood what I wanted and called back with a competitive price. Phoned to arrange delivery and delivered on time. Delivery guys were very careful bringing the unit in to the house, quite tricky, and very friendly guys. Wouldn't hesitate to recomend buywise to anyone.

Poor service - Avoid

I bought a Miele dryer from Buywise online because they offered the model I wanted at a very competitive price and seemed to have good reviews regarding their service.

I spoke to their agent by phone who told me that the machine would be delivered in the morning (by 1pm) and that it would be fitted for me . I took the morning off however the machine had not been delivered by the promised time. I phoned them up to find out what was happening and they told me that it was likely to be delivered late afternoon. I had to take the rest day of the afternoon off to wait for the machine to arrive, When it did eventually arrive the driver did not know that it was supposed to be installed . However to be fair to him after phoning up the office he agreed to install the dryer for me. He and the actual Miele dryer (which is very good by the way) were the only positives in this transaction.

I spoke to one of Buywise's senior managers to express my frustration regarding the delay in delivering the machine and the disruption this had caused . He stated that their process had broken down in this instance and they occasionally struggled with deliveries outside of the Oxfordshire area. However as a matter of goodwill he would credit me with the delivery charge. 5 weeks later I have yet to receive the credit, even though I have spoken and written to them on several occasions chasing up the credit.

I will not be buying from Buywise again.

At the end of the day Mr Salib is absolutely right. We really dropped the ball on this order. We gave a delivery time & we missed it and the driver wasn't informed about the connection of the dryer that the customer required.

We had promised to refund the delivery charge and had believed this had been sent, not sure what happened but again Mr Salib was right, we thought the refund had gone but it hadn't. The refund has now been sent (I have confirmed this).

I can do nothing but apologise profusely for this chain of events. Not the usual service we expect to give at Buywise, we have tweaked one or two systems within Buywise and hope to never have this happen again.

Sorry Mr Salib, please try us again to see the improvements.
