I'm always cautious of ordering from an unfamiliar website, but I went with this based upon other reviews. I was more than happy - the lens arrived very quickly and very securely packaged. Excellent!
I didn't have a lot of trust at first on these guys but after spending a couple hours digging up their background along with looking up at positive reviews from people, I went ahead and made my purchase since they had Sage Pay and PayPal for security reasons. I am glad to say, one of my best purchase, ever.
I bought a 5D Mark III kit. Made the purchase payment on a Wednesday which processed smoothly through PayPal and Sage Pay and Confirmation details was emailed to me. Next day in the morning, email with Tracking was emailed to me about the camera PICKED UP, SENT OFF by delivery carrier and delivery facility all on Thursday. Camera delivered to me Monday which was 4 days total of wait time. Well packaged from that delivery journey.
I had to pay a customs charge of £15 but was reimbursed back after filing out the Customs Form in my account on Camera In The Post site. I just pop in all the paper details into the short form then had it submitted. This was done at midnight, under 30min later, I was already refunded back that £15 straight to my PayPal then into my card. What epic fantastic service is this!?
The 5D Mark III delivered to me wasn't a chip of the block fake or an old revision model of early 2012 or so, it was a fresh mint new latest revision of the body and lens along with everything it is supposed to come included with for 2013. Absolutely happy with my purchase! saved a lot of £££££££!!! One of my best purchase yet and this year.
Camera came from HK but wasn't worried with the fast speedy delivery and full tracking supplied, they used DHL as for my delivery carrier, Fedex is an option as stated in the checkout. Customer service was a breeze, emails are replied back very quick and helpful. I would certainly recommend.

Over the period of six months I've purchased two lenses from this company. Each time they have been quick to post the item and the delivery company they use keeps you updated.
I had problems using paypal but the guys were quick to keep me updated and help me through the process.

I ordered a camera from camera in the post, I could pay by credit card which is great, lens arrived my office in London 36 hours later, all DHL tracked. All as expected and great service.
Thanks for a great service. I had ordered my lovely Canon 5diii body and couldn't wait for it to arrive. Unfortunately I missed delivery and phoned the shop late in a panic because I couldn't understand the message left by the call centre. The person who answered the phone was brilliant and explained what would happen and helped me contact the courier so I could receive the parcel next day. Absolutely great service at a brilliant price! The assistant, whoever he was, deserves to be recognised in the review because he was so helpful and out my mind at rest, as I had started to worry about where my camera could be. As I didn't phone him until gone six pm I didn't really expect a reply! The camera is exactly as stated and the price was much lower than elsewhere. So far I haven't found it listed cheaper. I would definitely recommend you to a friend, but would warn them about the possibility of missing the courier and having to deal with the call centre, who do not speak clear English. Otherwise I would have given 5 stars.
The price quoted is the exact price you pay, and with these people being about £500 cheaper than anywhere else, for my 5D mark III, there was really no contest.
I did get charged an import duty of £16.80, which was easy to pay on the DHL website, but camera-in-the-post promptly refunded me this charge once I informed them.
I don't buy cameras of this price often, but if I did I'd have no hesitation using these guys again.
To sum it up in 3 words; buy with confidence.
I ordered a Panasonic DMC-LX7 on a Saturday, received an email on Minday to say it was only available in white (slight annoyance but at this price worth it). Camera came on Thursday via DHL. Easier to use than many British firms I've dealt with.
My initial enquiry (late on a Sunday evening) was dealt with in less than 15 minutes.
I placed an order on Monday morning and within a couple of days I had my camera.
It is a SONY RX100 and it arrived securely packaged and in good order.
I complement them on their service and would recommend "Camera in the Post" as a good supplier.
I have had many cameras in my time, and have not seen better photos coming out of a pocket camera, nor out of some cameras that do not fit in the pocket.
First rate service at a competitive price.
Loved the DHL delivery tracking from Hong Kong.
The packaging was brilliant too, no chance of the camera gear being damaged in transit.

Fantastic Service. I was slightly worried about the delivery since it was from Hong Kong, but took the risk since the reviews were good.
Update emails were given at each step of the order. They courier service they used was DHL. If you login to the DHL site you can get text message notification on each step which was great. I ordered the camera on Wednesday and got it on Friday the same day.

Was a little sceptical when I first looked through their website as the product was shipped from Hong Kong. But after reading reviews I decided to take a chance as I would be saving £130 on a £300 camera. As soon as my order was placed, I received constant email communication regarding my order and DHL sent me text messages to keep me up to date on the delivery date and time. The camera arrived in about 3 working days and was delivered in the original packaging with English manuals. About 1 week after delivery, I received the import and customs charge (£29) from DHL. I called DHL and paid the amount and then completed the online claim form on the Camera In The Post website. Within about 30 minutes of making the claim, I received an email stating that my credit card had been reimbursed for the £29 customs charge.
Overall, this has been a great experience of online shopping and would recommend to anyone looking to get a camera or camera equipment.
I ordered an olympus pancake lens for the bargain price of £149. When placing the order I was told delivery would be 5 - 8 days but received it the next day. Order was placed at 3pm on a Friday, received email at 6pm that it had been dispatched. Very pleased with the purchase and the fast delivery service. Would use again.
I've never used this website before, so was a little reluctant and searched for reviews...they were all good, so I purchased a Kenko Exptension Tube Set. It was a good price, arrived within the specified time and was well packed. I would (and have) recommended this site to others.

Price matched the camera I was planning to purchase against the competition (before I placed my order) and included a free 8Gb SDHC card due to delays in delivery because of Chinese New Year. Customer service is best in class and UK vendors should learn a thing or two from CITP. Highly recommended.
Having read a few positive reviews about Camera In The Post on Trust Pilot I called them to order a 5d mk 3, double checking about customs clearance, delivery time etc. The rep was very helpful and professional and told me that sometimes there is a small charge of £15 from UK customs but that he would refund it immediately, (I had read about this in an earlier review from a purchaser which confirmed this so was not worried), but in the end there was no need at all, the camera just arrived on Monday having been ordered on a Wed afternoon, from Hong Kong!
Brilliant service! Best price I could find against ordering from the UK, saves approx £340 over the Calumet price. Certainly would buy again from them.
Was hesitant at first when ordering an expensive camera from this company but all feedback/reviews were positive. Seeing that the camera was coming from Hong Kong I was a little worried about tax/duty costs but read on their site that they refund any extra costs incurred. Ended up with a small amount to pay the courier(DHL) and filled in the form on the CITP website. Less than a couple of days later the amount had been refunded to my credit card that was used to make the purchase.

Like a few people who have written reviews I approached Camera In The Post with a healthy dose of skepticism but the reviews, along with the straightforwardness of the website reassured me. I received the camera within 4 days of placing the order. There weren't any customs payments to make and the camera appears to be great. Although coming from Hong Kong, the instructions are in English.
I am only an occasional and infrequent internet shopper and very wary of companies I have never heard of BUT the price was too tempting to ignore and I hadn't heard of many of the more expensive companies either so decided to 'take a risk'. I needn't have worried. My order was acknowledged immediately and I was informed of despatch with estimated delivery time the next day. My parcel arrived as promised two days later. I can't see how the service could be bettered. I also found the website very user friendly - the 'what's in the box' section was particularly helpful and missing from most other suppliers sites.

Not much more to say, really. Everything was spot on, the site is easy to use, the payment process was painless and the parcel arrived within the estimated drop off time.
One thing, the parcel was not received/accepted by myself but by a resident of the building. It was then left in the reception area. I did specify that if I wasn't home I was to be contacted, as I was only 2 minutes from the house. This could have been the couriers mistake, though.
