Ordered a bag for £9, charged me, and they tell me it is out of stock days later, when a friend ordered the same one 15 minutes after myself and they sent his one out. Slow unorganised sales staff and poor compensation... emailed and no repsonse.
I have used Camera Kind for few months now - made few orders for camera bags - the service provided is fantastic! And they are always the cheapest! Also, one of the bags after few months developed a fault, was sent back to them, they contacted the supplier and within 10 days I had a brand new bag. Thank you and would definitely recommend!
I have placed an order for some camera filters and paid by debit card. My account was off course debited within 10 minutes, but then nothing happend for 2 days
After 2 days, I have received an e-mail, that they will not dispatch my order, because they cannot confim my adress, asking me to send some kind of proof that I am really me and I live on that adress I have given to them.
I actually got offended, but, I have sent them a copy of an invoice from my phone company, showing name, adress, etc, but also a certificate issued by Swedish tax office, specifically for occasions like this.
However, 2 more days later, still not even an answer received, although I have called them several times, receiving promises about returning my call with information.
This company threats me like a criminal, when buying from them (for 100 EUR, not even a big amount), I will surely neve, ever buy from them again and will by all means advise everybody I can to not shop from them.
This is really unserious, arrogant company.
I decided to cancel my order with Camera King on Amazon.co.uk as my order was in the 'Dispatching Soon' status for 5 days! There was no notification if the tripod head I ordered was out of stock or anything! On their own website it said they had plenty in stock, so I don't really see the problem. I had something delivered from Hong Kong via Amazon in just 4 days! That's around the other side of the world! Camera King is based in the UK (as am I) and it hasn't even dispatched within 5 days! DREADFUL! I tried to contact CS (Customer Services) twice by email - no response. Tried their phone number on their website THREE TIMES!!! - no response after hearing a dialing tone for 5 minutes. Absolutely poor company. No CS to talk to regarding my order, so decided I'm ordering from someone else on Amazon. They definitely will deserve the profit made from the head unlike Camera King. I hope Amazon will take action against them for their slow dispatch. As you can see, I can't rate the delivery but then again, that's not their department. You rate the delivery company e.g. Royal Mail or HDNL/Yodel (who I've had very positive experience with before!). Never going to buy from them again. I WOULD NOT EVEN RECCOMEND VISITING THEIR WEBSITE. Their prices may be low, but with their low prices comes with their low quality customer services (or rather the lack of them).
Update: I have since received updates from Camera King. They said that they were awaiting delivery of my order today, but the delivery was 'lost', and I would have to wait another 4 days for the next delivery. I have given them an extra star for their customer service (eventually). I have still cancelled this order and I have ordered my Manfrotto 502AH Pro Fluid Video Head from another company on Amazon.
I was a bit dubious when I came across this dealer, because of the Name. Do Not Confuse with Camera Kings in the USA.
I have ordered three items for next day delivery and all were delivered early morning next day. I ordered a Tripod which was in a substantial box as supplied by the maker. It had been placed in another strong box for delivery. I have no resevations in recommending this dealer, based on my experience.
I found CameraKing whilst looking for a new filter. Not really being an Internet shopper I wasn't sure what to expect. But the experience was perfect. Excellent product at a fantastic price, and a fast delivery. I will definatly use CameraKing again and highly recommend their excellent service.
i ordered some filters last week thursday and they arrived on Monday morning. i needed some more knowledge on ND filters which cameraking were willing to point me in the right direction for. i think they offer a good service despite what other reviews state below (it seems many of the reviews have ben posted a long time ago)
I used Amazon marketplace to buy a flashgun that was priced the cheapest.
Waited 7 days, then received notification that the item was posted. After another 7 days, received another email notifying me of a refund due to the shipping address not being deliverable. Funny that everyone else seems to find the address on their systems without a problem (especially since it was meant to have been posted via royal mail!).
Oh yeah, there's no phone number to contact them and they never respond to their marketseller's emails. Abysmal.
I placed an order via Amazon Marketplace as CamaeraKing had a 5 star customer rating. I received the product at a good price and in good time but once it was found to be faulty the saga started...
I had to contact the UK distributor myself to confirm the item was faulty and then return it to Camaeraking for repair or replacement. A refund was not offered because more than 30 days had passed.
After 5 weeks I found out that a replacement could not be sent as it was discontinued and now out of stock so I offered to pay the difference and purchase the newer model but got no reply.
A week later and after contacting Amazon, who would not help as it was now outside their 60 day window, I sent another email to find when this issue would be resolved. A few days later I received confirmation that a full refund would be made.
I think Trustpilot's customer rating of 2 stars is more realistic.
I made a online purchase on Thursday before reading all these reviews. I was very concerned seeing the bad really outweighed the good. I tried to call them on several occassions and the office was closed everytime. Considering I live on the west coast. My purchase was over 5 thousand dollars. When I got no emails or anything making me feel as though my purchase was aknowledged. I called my cardholder company and ask them to not authorize this order. That was not posible so my option was to close the card and have another issued. This is exactly what I did. So glad I read the reviews and was able to terminate my order before they had time to charge me. Thanks again for the reviews. I feel as though it saved me money and time.
I placed an order for a Christmas gift this year. They called me verifying the purchase and informed me that the camera did not come with a card and would I like to purchase one. I declined and 10 days later when I went to check the status of the order, there wasn't a tracking number listed. I called and they informed me that it had not shipped and that it was on back order. Glad I called or I would have been without a gift. Poor customer service. I will not attempt to order from them again.
I bought a very expensive pro level dslr from these guys. During the call, the guy did try to sell me extra batteries, and memory cards. I actually talked him down! Ended up getting a cf memory card for a good deal. Anyway, I had the camera shipped overnight. I Then got weary cause I read a lot of bad reviews. All day, no tracking number no email conformation... Nothing. Got paranoid and called camera king, and they transferred me to a guy who very nicely said "don't worry man, you'll get it tomorrow. Enjoy your camera it's a really good one..." got a tracking number that night at 1045pm. Next day it was actually ups who dropped the ball and it didn't show up till 9pm.it was packed well enough, and everything was there. (grey market no warranty... But I knew this before buying). Printed receipt was included. Camera works great and I have no issues at all... Maybe they've gotten better... But i didn't have any problems at all... Maybe they've gotten better? I'll give em 4 stars, took awhile to get any sort of confirmation especially after such a big purchase. Maybe crappy canon and Sony camera buyers just aren't as respected by camera king? Buy nikon :)
This company operates the same way as [Link], [Link], and several others. They all have the same "closed for Rosh Hanahah" sign on their website storefront. Buyer beware. Who is to say the good reviews aren't being submitted by store employees or store owners?
I have been overseas for nearly 4 years now, and cameraking was recommended to me by a good friend who had used them as they deduct VAT for BFPO users. I have bought two expensive cameras from them, with much help and polite service over emails, and have also recommended them to friends who have been equally satisfied. Perhaps it is customers with expectations that are too high that leave negative feedback. The profit margins on these expensive goods are not massive, and whilst we all shop around, you need to have confidence in your supplier, ultimately. I have confidence in cameraking. I am a professional photographer and would not recommend if I did not believe it, so please, go ahead, and use cameraking. If you're happy, leave good feedback like I have, because they don't deserve all this nay-saying!
My experience was much like the others listed here. I thought I was getting a good price but after all miscellanious fees added and worthless products that were thrown in, it was anything but. They overcharged about $700.00 on what should have been a $1400 order. I sent them several emails over a two week period but got no response, not one. Fortunately, my bank clearly seemed to be aware of their underhanded tactics and had no problem providing an immediate credit to cover the $700 loss. BTW: They charged an outragious $125 for handling and insurance, which seemed quite excessive especially considering the fact that the package looked as though it boxed and taped by a pair chimps (not very bright ones at that) After all bananas can't cost that much. Everything was thrown into a single thin walled box with nearly no packing material. Everything within the box was just a couple steps away from destructon and were about to come out of the package.

Having read previous reviews of CameraKing on this site, I nevertheless decided to go ahead with my order. I firstly sent an email regarding stock position of Hoya HD CPL and receiived a quick reply that the item was in stock.
Order was then placed (via Amazon), despatch and delivery times were excellent. I would definitely use CameraKing again, and have no hesitation in recommending them to others.
I'm going to tell you the truth about these crooks.
They are the company that already went bankruptcy because of bad service and now they are running under couple different names but they never improved their service. Here is my experience with them:
Ordered camera Pentax K-x and Tamron 90mm lens from them because they are just a bit cheaper than others. On April 9th the package arrived but without Tamron 90mm lens! Immediately I called them to confirm this careless service. They said that the lens was out of stock (on the website it didn't give that information when purchased) and that they will be getting the lens back in stock in a 3 days and off course they confirmed that it will be shipped fast delivery UPS. After two weeks they finally confirmed that lens arrived and that's shipped via UPS 2 day delivery. I checked the tracking number they provided and there was clear that the lens was not sent 2 day delivery but 5 days ground. After one week lens arrived and there was a 57$ brokerage fee plus 20$ tax that I already paid for the lens that spouse to come with the camera, for me to pay just because they chose 5 day delivery of course if it was shipped as promised i would avoid any brokerage fees. I was already mad after 3 weeks waiting for the lens and gave the bad review on this website. Next day they called me and asked me if I can remove the review from this website and offered to give me in damage some camera accessories that are crap for "lower" price. Because I knew the price of the items that they offered me to buy i refused but I needed one more lens Sigma 70-300mm APO DG witch sells on their website for 195$. Supervisor Bryan that works over there offered 50$ discount on that particular lens which was 145$ at discount price. He apologized for all the shit from before and he confirmed that new lens is going to be shipped 2 day UPS to avoid the brokerage fee and also he offered to pay half of the brokerage fee. Next day I received the tracking number and guess what they shipped 5 day delivery again! After lens arrived again I paid the brokerage fee of 45$ and when I opened the box there was a different lens shipped to me! They sent me the cheaper version of the lens! I'm still fighting to get my money back from them and PLEASE PEOPLE STAY AWAY FROM THIS LAIRS THEY GOING TO LIE TO YOU, THEY GOING TO SEND YOU THE ITEMS THAT ARE NOT WORTH MONEY YOU PAY FOR PLUS YOU GOING TO WAIT FOR ITEMS LONGER THAN EXPECTED. THEY ARE GOING TO TRY TO SALE THE ITEMS BY CALLING YOU AFTER YOU FINISH ORDER BY GIVING YOU SOME DISCOUNTS THAT ARE NOT TRUE LIKE MEMORY CARD, BATTERIES, TRIPODS, BAGS AND SIMILAR ITEMS FOR MORE MONEY THAN THEY ARE WORTH. THERE IS LOT OF ITEMS ON THEIR WEBSITE THAT IS REFURBISHED, THEY GOING TO SEND YOU CHEAPER VERSIONS OF THE ITEMS YOU ORDER!
BUY CAMERA AND PHOTO EQUIPMENT FROM B&H PHOTO OR ADORAMA, YOU ARE GOING TO PAY MORE BY BUYING ITEMS FROM CAMERA KINGS AT THE END. STAY AWAY!

I ordered a UV Lens for my camera from Camera King on 26 March 2010 and they informed me that my visa was not working this was not true as the other order eg Sigma Lens was processed. On 27 march 2010 I cancelled the order with camra King. However, I ordered a new visa card to be safe and re ordered the lens from another company along with several other items on 1 April 2010. At the same time I AGAIN wrote to Camera King and Amazon (at 7.02AM on 1.4.2010) to ensure the lens at £30 was cancelled.
Cammera King wrote back to me at 5pm (1.4.2010)and said the lens had been shipped. I am very annoyed that they have ignored my cancellation notices and that they can access my new visa card through the amazon website and take the money and ship the lens.
I recomend that you do not use this company. There are other companies that sell on Amazon the same product at a cheaper rate and DO not charge 17% (£4) for deilvery
Having a very sad experience with camerakings.com... Forget that I got all unwonted things, like not a Sony battery and not a Sony warranty from them including ugly camera bags and a broken card reader plus chip CF card; all of it seems like a needle in hey stag. The biggest problem is lying inside of my new camera! Instead of the new a700 SONY, I got an open box, with no power cord and no battery charger. Fortunately I got charger from SONY store today for $119.99, and figured out that CF slot is broken on my new a700. I tested my CF card on my friends’ a700, it is working fine. Nothing is wrong with my CF card, but the slot cannot be selected from the menu, and it is constantly flashing with ----- my CF slot is dead as a 'Peace' in the world. On February 15th I got an exchange A700 and today I realized that this camera is broken as well. Viewing pictures is not possible the camera showing first two or three pixels and the rest of image is faded. Downloaded images to PC, and they have a horrible vertical lines. They didn’t reimburse me for the shipment as promised in full. I feel cheated and frustrated. Do not recommend to anyone use there services. So I ended up paying more for exchange and brokerage fees for the broken camera, I could get chipper at the local Sony store.
If they refuse to pay me in full for order, I will dispute with my Credit Card, fortunately I already had a similar experience with another company and know what to do. Stay away as far as possible.
I made an order of a camera-strap and since I didn't get any confirmation of it, I sent a mail after a few days. They didn't answer the mail. 2 weeks later, I wrote that since I didn't get any reply and 2 weeks had passed, I wished to cancel my order. I still didn't get any answer. But then today, more than 4 weeks after my original order, I received the package, but it's an entirely different item, a camerabag. Ok, I'll give it, the item they sent me is actually more expensive than the strap I ordered, and I luckily paid the price of the strap, but I don't need the bag, so it's really a waste.
Actually I'm just happy I didn't order a lens, which was in my mind for some time. I truely think it's unbelievable they can get away with it and continue their business.
One can learn to read the reviews of online shops before buying!!
I ordered through Cameraking and then found this review page. I was horrified and quickly chased my order. Don't bother calling them it just rings out. However i did get a response back via email and my delivery turned up on time! Saved over 30% on most stores.
I made an order from Cameraking but after 2 months nothing has arrived. The site claims the order would take 2 to 3 days!
I have been unable to get any response via telephone or contact form to cancel the order and I am quite certain that on one occasion the phone was picked up and immediately hung back up. I will never deal with this company again. Buyers beware.
