My Car stereo came so quickly and I could install it easily and enjoyed the music too.I was feeling quiet well with price too, when I compared it with other retailers.I would strongly recommend CAC. Try, I am sure You will enjoy............
The transaction went exactly as it should. No scary stories, no problems. Can't really embellish my review any more. I’ve used them before for mail order and I will use them again. I have also used their Leicester shop and their fitting service. This is a rarer event as it’s quite a long drag for me to drive there, but again when I did use the fitting service, the work quality was good and the cost was fine.
I purchased some speakers for my car and my first annoyance came when the product spec online was different to the actual spec of the speakers (the frequency response was different), I was willing to keep them regardless of this. The next problem was one of the speaker casings had a large crack meaning that one of the screws would not go through the casing. When I phoned up I spoke to someone (who didn't seem to bothered) who said to email pictures and a description and they will sort it. After 3 emails they still did not reply. I then phoned again and they said they changed their email address for returns, the person I spoke to assured me it would be dealt with. Another 2 emails and 2 phone calls later they decided to reply and said a replacement would be sent to me. Guess what? still no replacement. I will never buy from here again, terrible customer service.
Went to the Northwood branch after reading good reviews, wanted speakers for my car despite the fact the original headunit was in the car. What I wanted was a couple of pairs of speakers for front and rear just to freshen up the sound - for now. Was basically told the speakers were Ok (despite the fact there was way too much treble which couldn't be dialled out) but I needed to change the headunit for better sound. I know this would help *but* I'm not going to go this far - just help me choose some speakers. No, what I needed was a new head unit OR maybe an underseat sub. NO - I just want speakers, I am the customer - I know the limitations of the original stereo thanks, just the speakers please.. When I did get some speaker recommendations they were no better than what was already installed. I know they were trying to help but please - dont force your advice down my throat. Bottom line is they couldn't help me but they might be able to help you.
I always buy on lines and before i buy i read reviews to help my decision to make sure I am spending my money with a company who will be happy to except it but more importantly value my custom. I read alot of reviews about car audio centre and form the view that they were like marmite either loved or hated. Knowing this and liking marmite I decided i will place my order with car audio centre as they were the only company i could find with multiple stores. I found the website really easy to use and found all the information I needed to know before my purchase. I ordered the Pioneer deh 8400bt but it was not the cheapest on the net but i wanted to test the service also i don't shop at Aldi I am a Waitrose person. The unit arrived 2 days sooner as i selected the standard delivery and got the item next day. Once arrived i opened the unit and then was unsure on how to fit the and spoke to Mike who gave me allot of pointers on how the units should be fitted. I took me over 1 hour to fit the unit but i was very happy with the result. I called car audio centre to thank them for their service and help as most companies don't want to give any help after the sale. I would be certainly recommending car audio centre to all my friends and families and would say you cant go wrong here
made an order of a car cd unit and a sub for the car unfortunatly they didnt have the sub in stock so they went through alternatives and offered a great alternate product which i recieved promply and have been happy with since thanks
i ordered a new head unit and a iphone cable on a saturday it came on tuesday but no iphone cable on reciept just said to follow no date or reason why.
other than that it would have been 5*
still waiting for a reason why the cable not been sent
I purchased a complete kit for a Zafira to fit a single DIN Sony head unit.
Ordering by phone was easy and unit arrived promptly. The unit fitted easily but I was not given all the leads to fit so I emailed them who very quickly apologised and shipped the correct leads to me.
So, I can't give full stars but I was pleased with the support provided.
I bought a Kenwood KDCBT52U Bluetooth stereo to use with my Android phone. It arrived next day and fitted it in. Works like a charm so I’m a happy man.
Packaging was ok but it’s not something that really bothered me

I had an email advertising a new bluetooth enabled Sony head unit they had in, ordered the next day and it was delivered quickly the working day after that, packaged simply, no over the top box, quick installation and very simple to use.
Very happy with the service.
Having read the reviews I was a little concerned about using this company but they had the unit I wanted at the best price so decided to give it a go and placed my order. I almost immediately received an email stating there was a problem with my order and could i ring their 08707 number (i have no idea how much this has cost me!). When i rang i was informed that the item was no longer in stock and that they could send me a slightly more expensive alternative for the same price - this head unit was an ipod playing unit which was great as that was what i was looking for originally and was planning to use the usb port to play it through. The guy on the phone infomed me that for it would work this way but was unreliable so i really needed to purchase a separate lead that would cost £34.99. I decided i would take the risk and not borher and also look online at costings, only to find the same lead on ebay for £5.99. The unit arrived in good time although the packaging wasn't brilliant and the box was a little dented on the corners, but there was no damage to the unit itself. We fitted it (after having to pop to halfords for an aerial extension for the back of the unit) and it works brilliantly - more to the point there was no additional lead required as my ipod is working fine with the normal ipod/usb lead.
All of the above said, i would use this company again.
Phone help gave very good advice.
Head unit was shipped fast, but the packaging was minimal, with corners of box dented. In spite of this the gear inside was undamaged and has proved to be a very satisfying purchase.
The head unit arrived after several discussions about would it fit what else was needed, apparently just the head unit would fit nothing else required.
After several hours of head scratching it was apparent that some sort of fitting kit was needed, so another phone call to CAC, yes a kit was needed so yet another day to wait with a big hole in the dashboard, the kit was going to arrive next day.
Next day arrives the no tracking advice yet recieved so yet another call to CAC, it turns out the kit was never shipped, I asked the question if I could source the item locally could I have a full refund on the kit, yes yes no problem they replied.
I did source the item and phoned them, to be told there would be a £5 admin charge for something that they forgot to ship.
Then the final surpise the maps are out of date and you have to pay £119 to navteq to get them updated.
All in not a good experience.
After placing an order over the web, they contacted me straight away to let me know the item was no longer in stock and offered a better alternative at the same price with free delivery for the inconvenience. The goods arrived the following day, exceptional service.
I see some poor reviews but I got good service. Great product, great price and prompt delivery. A subwoofer didn't come at same time and I got no reply when I queried it but it did follow a few days later. I would use them again for sure.
I purchased a JVC KD-X50BT from Car audio Centre online as the online description said the unit had integrated Bluetooth, 2 USB ports (1 front and 1 rear) and took SD cards and CDs among (they have since update the description to remove the incorrect SD capability, however it still incorrectly states CD).
The problem here is that there is no integrated Bluetooth. It uses a small dongle which needs to be inserted in one of the USB slots.
My original intention was to use an iPod in the glovebox, and charge my phone from the front and use Bluetooth for calls. As I leave the iPod in the glovebox, it means I need to use the Bluetooth dongle in the front port, and therefore I need to leave the ashtray open to charge my phone with a cable dangling from there.
I complained to the store twice, but had no reply. They obviously read my complaints as the site was updated.
I chose to keep the stereo as it's actually very good, but the description on the store's website is very misleading. JVC's own site has more clear information and accurate specifications.
I wouldn't recommend buying from Car Audio Centre.

I read the reviews on here before placing my order and was abit wary...
I called them before i decided to buy and they went through all my options and what would be best for me. They did not force me to buy anthing there and then on the phone.
Later that day (4:30pm) decided to place my order online. i recieved an email confirming my order and as it was for a birthday gift i paid for next day delivery and for the gift wrapping service. just before 6pm i recieved another email confirming my order had been dispatched and also provided me with my parcel number.
the next day my package arrived..... i really do not understand why there are bad reviews for this company
i have recently had to remove my other review as car audio centre complained how ever here it is again reworded slightly so as not to offend the product i ordered on 28/6/12 was a pioneer cd sr110 steering wheel remote it can be found under quick find number 26801 it is very resonably priced and the cheapest i have found it for unfortunatly the next day i received an email from them saying it was out of stock but should be with me within 5 days of order been placed i then telephoned them 9/7/12 as i had still not received it i was told they were getting a guarenteed delivery on 11/7/12 and one would be shipped to me to be received 12/13 of july 2012 telephoned 11/7/12 as i was concerned as on their website my order was still showing as been on order i was told they were awaiting delivery and someone would ring me that afternoon no phone call i emailed them on 7/7/12 and got no response i then decided to cancel my order and asked for a refund they were however very good and promtly refunded the money into my bank account i would only like to add the products are very good and well priced
I loved the easy layout to the store, but was overcome with the choice of sub woofers, the option of a mystery package of Amp and Sub seemed the perfect choice and a bit of fun. The amp and sub were both guaranteed to be of a good make and I was very satisfied with the equipment I received, in fact, when I checked, the amp alone cost more than the whole package I paid for.
Delivery was next day. Over all 5 star experience.
I was looking for a multi media head unit, to go in my Mazda 323. I had a few ideas of what I wanted, I just wasn't sure about the best option.
I called the Car Audio Centre, where they were very happy to answer my few questions, and point me in the right direction.
As a result of this, I ordered the unit from them, which was delivered the very next day.

I recently ordered the "Kenwood KVT-526DVD/Kenwood KNAG620T Package" and i am very pleased with my order. My parcel was delivered just days after i had placed my order and the customer service dept were very helpful when i had a problem. I have been in audio for over 10 years and would normally shop at Halfords but after getting nothing but bad service from Halfords I started doing my research on other companies. Now word of mouth everyone I spoke to recommended car audio centre but most of the reviews on line have been negative. Here I use my theory I get good service everyday but I don't tell no one at all so I gave them a chance. Placed my order for focal speakers on a Friday and paid for standard delivery that estimates 2_3 working days. I was surprised when I got the delivery on Monday yet I paid for a basic service. I fitted my speakers and they sound great. The crossover had some loose part but that was due to a dry joint. After speaking to car audio centre I sent the faulty item back the unit was repaired and return back to me in 5 days. Overall I have been very happy with the speakers and services the reviews on this site's are not great but then again it's like the news only McDonalds makes people fat but they don't talk about the fact there there are other fast food chains that are wors
Just used the car audio centre again after buying my DVD system, I bought sine new speakers and a amp to get better sound from DVD system. I ordered Tuesday and received my speakers Thursday. Great service again, with a affordable product which sounds great !
Arrived within 36 hours which was brilliant considering that I paid for the cheapest delivery.. item works faultlessly and I will defo be using them again :)
