absolutely poor experience. The price announced is simply not correct, it hides numerous extras saying it is the agency's responsibility. The car given is full of damages to start with (13 scratches identified!) and most of all CarDelMar is neither responsible nor accountable for any of it.
Our credit card was charged in August 2013 for 500eur, 2 weeks before the pickup day, and on the day of arrival a lady from Sicily By Car (Car del Mar representative) told us that there in no car for us, Car del Mar did not send them any information about my booking!!!! So I was left alone in the hot season at the airport, no help from anybody. The phone number which they gave on my booking was inalid!!!! After two weeks since my claim my money were sent back to my card, but come on - they are unprofessional!!!!
Absolute joke this company. My credit card didn't have a big enough credit limit so they just decided to leave me hanging in the middle of Vienna. No car, no nothing despite the fact the rental was prepaid. No attempt to make this work and maybe take the credit card of my husband which had enough credit on it. Too bad, see ya was the answer. And on top of things they refused to refund me the prepaid amount of the entire rental. Just a very pathetic and embarrassing business model.

Also ich werde bei Car del Mar bestimmt kein Fahrzeug mehr Mieten. Den Service kann man echt in der Pfeife rauchen. Sobald es mal ein Problem gibt, erhält man keine Anwort mehr von denen, es sei denn man schreibt eine Beschwerde auf Facebook. Die wir dann aber schnell wieder gelöscht, damit keiner mitkriegt wie die Ihre Kunden behandeln. Ich habe ein Fahrzeug gemietet und das Geld wurde von meiner Kreditkarte abgebucht, aber als ich mit dem Voucher zum Vermieter kam, gab es keine Reservierung im System. Ich musste dann ein Fahrzeug zu einem höheren Preis direkt mieten. Da ich von C.D.M auf meine Beschwerde emails (mehrere) mal wieder keine Antwort erhalten habe, habe ich hier bei Facebook gepostet. Daraufhin hat C.D.M. in seinem System ein Beschwerdeformular eröffnet und mir darüber mitgeteilt, dass ich alle möglichen Papiere einreichen muss, wie Mietvertrag und Kreditkartenvoucher. Das habe ich dann auch getan und seitdem nichts mehr gehört obwohl ich mehrmals geschrieben habe. Ich habe Angeboten den Betrag den C.D.M mir schuldet zu verrechnen mit dem Fahrzeug das ich nächste Woche mieten muss. Ich habe auch geschrieben das ich jetzt mal langsam wissen muss ob das möglich ist oder nicht, weil ich sonst woanders ein Fahrzeug mieten muss damit es zeitlich noch klappt. Aber das scheint den sogenannten Kundendienst nicht im mindesten zu interessieren.
Ich miete und bestelle viel über das Internet, aber so einen schlechten und unkompetenten Kundendienst wie bei C.D.M habe ich noch nicht erlebt.
Mittlerweile sind 18 Tage vergangen und ich habe immer noch kein Geld zurück bekommen, nur eine email das erstmal mit dem Vermieter geklärt werden muss was los war. Aber ich weiss nicht was es zu klären gibt, ich habe ein Fahrzeug bezahlt das ich nicht bekommen habe.
As the car pick up point was Lanseria airport not OR Tambo, and there was no obvious way of changing this, I cancelled the booking, but I have still been charged for it!! Please refund my payment to my credit card including overseas transaction fees
This is our 4th time renting through CarDelMar, and we were again very satisfied with the car during our month-long stay in Germany. Only one suggestion for improvement: For passengers arriving in Terminal 1 (such as overseas travelers), please arrange with rental agencies that operate out of Terminal 1. Frankfurt Airport is confusing enough just for normal use. Having to shuttle back and forth between terminals to pick-up and turn-in the rental car and dealing with luggage is a pain.
I was thoroughly disappointed with this company and it's employees.
We chose Car DelMar based on their low prices as advertised on the website. We booked the car at the advertised price but when we arrived at the "enterprise" office we were told that the price would be much higher - higher than that of other websites we compared with. The lady working for enterprise was very helpful and polite.
I rang Car DelMar to sort out this problem and was put through to a manager who spoke to me with contempt and sarcasm. I work in a management position in customer service and this man is an abomination. Not helpful and very rude.
I will never use this company again or in any way recommend to anyone else. In fact, I will go out of my way to discourage people from using this company.

We rented a car from Car del mar in Ibiza which we were told it
will be from Car del mar and as requested the pickup will be at the Airport and return,when we called the given no. of the agency they told us to wait there for half an hour and we will be there to give you the car! by they arrival after 40 minutes more or less there was a mini van coming and asked us to go with them to their parking out of the Airport and so we had no choice and we went, they took us to the parking of another agnecy in the out of the Airport and gave us the information after a long check and formalities with a very rude attitude of the Agency called Bravo cars who could hardly speak English they gave us a Fort fiesta and we asked for a Citroen C3 and they said thats all we have!!
The car conditions were not good and clean , the breaks did not work well and the A/C was hardly cooling us !! we asked why they said that's all we have and if you don't want it you should ask your first contractor Car del mar. The fuel tank was almost empty which we had to take it to fuel up right after we got it.
Any how this was not our first experience with car del mar and the previous experiences were better but this time they nailed it all!!
I would suggest another well known company rather than a uncommitted site who does not care about the safety and comfort
of their customers.
At the desk of the car rental company, they informed that I dont have insurance and I would need to sign up for a huge amount if something goes wrong!! What kind of deal is this????
I booked on line for 321 US dollars
And when I was there to collect the car I was FORCED to pay another 138 euros
For so called MORE insurance and a ridiculous gas system that they give the tank full and I have to some how wipe it out and return it EMPTY !!!!!!!!
Even so the math doesn't add up , for I took the car for 6 days , the insurance is 5 euros/day which makes it 30 euros and when I measured the tank size of full best type of petrol is only for 50 euros .
I shouldn't have paid except that on line .
I'm very frustrated and disappointed .
Great value for the car.
In terms of processes:
a) we were sent to the wrong terminal in FRA (1 instead of 2) on booking confirmation. Took us quite some time with loads of luggage. Not helpful.
b) Booking was not readily available in system resulting in wait time of almost an hour. Not helpful either.
Car was not the Spec advertised when I hired the car. Could not even fit one case in boot.
I got a alternative and this would only take one case.
There was a damage to side of car.
Petrol in 1st car was supposed to over 3/4 a tank
The second car had half a tank which is what I returned but I was told I would have to pay another €25 for petrol. was 3/4 full. I said I would bring car back at 8.30 am did not bring till 9 They were trying to charge me for extra 30min. pick up point is much further away from airport than other main car rental. Air Auto very poor customer service would not use again or any of the other companies sharing desk area in Car Park 4.
The whole setup looked cheap and suspect

Booked a car in Dubai airport but I was asked to pay €10 for Airport Parking. I assume it is some sort of airport tax. One would assume that when renting from an airport car rental this charge would be incorperated in their quote.
My only concern was the fuel tank. When I picked it up, I noticed it didn't read entirely full. When I filled it up I noticed again that it didn't read full. When I was returning it, I filled it up and tried to add extra but it blew petrol back at me, so it was entirely full. However, the gauge still did not read full (in fact it read 7/8 full). I am concerned that I may be charged because the gauge is faulty. I did put a note in the car when I dropped it off.
