I took a faulty Blackberry back to the Crewe store and let them send it to their repair centre on the promise they could fix it in 14 days . The assistant actually stated it would "be about a week" . I was given a glossy booklet that promised that they could repair Blackberrys themselves. I now find that they've sent it to Blackberry and it will take up to another 28 days.
When I rang their repair centre I was met by an aggressive response on the phone from both an operative and his supervisor who stated incorrectly that Carphone Warehouse a a third party when you by a phone from them. I think she was actually breaking the law in saying that and told her so - she put the phone down on me. Great training you give your staff carphone !!!!!!
My advice Demand a replacement if it's within the guarantee.
Their repair service is there to take away your statutory rights !
Ordered a Samsung Y phone Via Click and collect. When I arrived their system was down for about 10 mins so had to wait. The phone I ordered was on Virgin network but when the box was scanned I was told it was not available on that network despite my paperwork . Eventually another staff member sorted it. The phone came with a £10 top up and I asked the assistant which tariff it would be on and he said that there were "loads" and I would need to check them out. I asked him to open the Sim pack to see if there was any info. When he started to look for a Stanley Knife to open it I left saying I would sort it out myself..At home and after inserting the sim and fully charging I started to receive texts from Virgin and I phoned the number to see if it was working which it was. I then tred to phone Virgin to arrange tariff and was told I had no credit.. I contacted Virgin from my home phone and thet put the £10 on my phone. I have no problem with Virgin or the phone but this is the first and last time using CFW.
Concerning the quality of this retailer I am able to offer the following comments, 5 days ago I purchased online a new Nokia 105 with £20 credit. When it arrived next day there were no clear instructions or codes to load this credit, after trying for 1 day I contacted their customer services who forwarded me to their tech team who after taking details and doing something at their end assured me the credit was now on.
It was not so I contacted them again , customer services this time told me it takes 24 to 48 hours for the PAYG credit to register on the phone. THIS APPARENTLY IS A TOTAL :LIE, it does not take that amount of time for PAYG top ups to get on phones . They have very well drilled customer service advisors who are expert in kicking the ball into the long grass, reassuringly leaving the customer just where they started with the problem.
So 4 days after receiving my phone the credit I bought is still not on, you the buying public can decide if you want to place your trust and your money with this retailer.
bought a phone from carphonewarehouse got it home and the screen was cracked took in right back same day they tried saying i broke it and would not give me a replacement there is only one word for the people that work there and that is CHAV'S ended up threatening to phone the police if i didn't leave the store basically because i was telling people not to but from them now im £100 out of pocket but i thin i cost them over a grand rant over.
My son who left university this summer had been wanting a tablet for quite a long time. He is in his first job and bought a Nexus 7 tablet from Carphone Warehouse. The product was good, the price £20 cheaper than John Lewis, however the tablet stopped charging after about 6 weeks and he took it back to the shop, I thought they would replace the item, but no, they only replace within first 28 days, it had to be sent off for repair, which will take about 3 weeks. It really is not good enough, the product wasn't fit for purpose and obviously had a technical problem, it hadn't been dropped or anything like that. I have now educated him regarding buying from John Lewis instead, who would have price matched the product any way, even if they didn't £20 is a small price to pay for their excellent customer service.

Went into Long Eaton store to upgrade my Vodafone deal. Dealt with quickly and speedily in store but then all sorts of issues at the Vodafone end as my SIM would not register. Paul and Anthony in the store were wonderful, even when the Vodafone staff on the other end of the line were being rude and unhelpful. After 3 further visits to the store over 48 hours as Vodafone continued to have issues I was finally swapped over to an equivalent deal with O2 with the minimum of fuss. Can`t speak highly enough of Paul and Anthony through all of this, customer service at its best in the most trying of circumstances faced with a global communications giant who just doesn`t care for individuals.
C.W. is descending to fresh lows, if this is possible considering the reviews here. I ordered my Nexus 5 for £295, the next day they increase the price on the website to 429, in the afternoon I receive an email saying "my order could not be processed and was cancelled". That's after I received their order confirmation email for this order and my other order from two days earlier had gone through fine. I call them to see what's up (expecting just the usual incompetence there having caused an error), and am told it's a "fraudulent order". We compare the address which is fine to the letter, so they tell me it's "a problem with the card". I insist on details as to what allegedly was wrong with it, but of course no information given.
I've then called my card company - they could see that my payment to CW was authorised, i.e. all perfectly fine and no "problem with the card" at all. Blatant and shameless lie of CW to get rid of my order at the lower price. And insulting a customer as "fraud" which is evidently wrong as I could confirm with my card company is no problem for these people. Absolutely disgusting.
In short, the worst customer service I've ever experienced. To avoid the cues in their stores I shopped online, only to sent an email asking me to phone 0845 655 5050 as there was an issue with my order. After 30 mins of waiting I finally got through to an operator he then started to ask for my bank details, which of course I would not give over the phone. Getting rather suspicious I hung up and rang through on there main switchboard number. After getting through to the next adviser he couldn't tell me what the problem was, then after being put on hold for a while he started to make strange comments about the order, as I had bought 2 items they could only process one and I would have to give my bank details again to process the other item. Clearly this is very suspicious and not normal practice, I then asked him to cancel my order, at which point he put the phone down. In my opinion Carphone Warehouse is an untrustworthy cowboy operation which I will never use again.

Having made an order for a replacement phone I was then told it was out of stock even though 2/3 days later it was still showing in stock. This company is without doubt the most useless and unhelpful i have had to deal with. There excuses as to why these thing happen are worthy of some non fiction novel. Even though they say they will notify the customer on a regular basis this is non existent and when you ring to inquire you are given all sort of nonsense comments.. My advice to any future customer is DON'T TOUCH this company if you value your sanity The only way to make a comment is to put at least 1 star , unfortunately you cannot make a minus deduction.

I went to the CPW store in Manchester Arndale to buy Nexus 5 on the following day it was released. On the official website, it said it was available as a sim free phone but the salesman in the store told me that it's only available for contract for now or I can wait for at least 1 month to buy a sim free phone. Hence, I went back home and bought one online. Was yet to receive any confirmation email and on Monday, I got an email saying my order was cancelled due to unforeseen circumstance. =( Currently the money has been deducted from my bank account and now waiting for CPW to refund. What an experience?!
Not many product for Sony Xperia Z accessories not enough choose colour case & no belt pouch case & no dock charging & 1400mAh portable charger pretty weak won't last longer & 2500mAh portable charger is weak too expensive £45.
Many good products on Amazon lots of accessories for Sony Xperia Z have mobile stand & dock charging & many cases & belt pouch case & colours USB cables & cheap microSD card & Breffo Spiderpodium.
Amazon - 12000mAh Portable Charger cost £26 is last longer & 32Gb MicroSD card with adapter cost £15, both cheaper than Carphone warehouse is expensive.
I stick with Amazon :-).
We simply tried to order and iphone 4s for my partner, from Mobiles.co.uk, part of the Car Phone Warehouse group, we did make and error in inputing the dob on the online form but then rather than call us to clarify details, they tried to put the order through 7 times, so we ended up with emails galore telling us about our accepted orders followed by our cancelled orders!. And because of all this, being accused of FRAUD. Surely it would have been easier to pick up the phone to call us, being a communications company!
We spent 9 hours of our day initially trying to remedy this situation, to no avail and then more of our time sending emails only to have them totally ignored. Finally after sending emails to numerous ceo possible email address we get a response but not a particularly helpful one.
We got our phone easily and simply elsewhere.
My current contract is with this company and I recommend them to my son and his girlfriend who also got phones from them. My contract is up for renewal in January but hey, I think I should go elsewhere and no more recommendations will be coming from me or my family.
I think Mobiles.co.uk system needs some serious looking at and and I think customers are totally fed up with being fobbed off by people with scripts and who are not able to understand what customers are saying to them.

In February I took out a 2 year contract on a Sony Experia,, am I sorry. My first phone was replaced within a week with a fault. In June the replacement lost all my contacts so took a week to be repaired and returned. Now I have been without it for 3 weeks, it lost all power. It took a week for them to tell me it was unrepairable, today after 2 weeks I went to collect the replacement. Luckily I asked them to charge it before leaving the shop. It was also faulty. ,what kind of quality control do they have? After complaining loudly they offered me £10 compensation but I still have to wait 5-7 days for another phone. These replacement phones are reconditioned. I don't drive have to leave an aged mother-in-law I care for to go back and fro to the shop. I will be looking elsewhere when my contract ends. The only positive is that Andrew and Ross in the Bridgend Outlet shop are really nice ,helpful guys. They tried their best to get me a new phone straight away but were banging their heads against the wall.
Hi Place the order in store on 14th Sept for I phone 5s Gold and they promised me delivery date is 4th October and then they changed to 9th October and again they changed to 16th October and again they changed my delivery date is on November first week this is the rubbish shop i never done in my entire life...So guys don't purchase any mobiles from carphone ware house store they cheat customers very easily
Upgraded my old T-Mobile contract to EE with a new iPhone via the Carphonewarehouse. My old number did not get transferred so rang their hotline. First was told my contract was "stuck in invoice status" whatever that means to them, then after this was apparently resolved I got conflicting advice from various staff members to either ring T-Mobile and get PAC code, wait a bit longer, go to a CPW shop and re-process the contract (leading to me now having 2 new EE contracts in addition to my old T-Mobile one, at a cost of £92/month!). Usually the advice was given without listening/reviewing first what had already been tried, and even the complaints department weren't able to help me promptly or even knew that one cannot switch from T-Mobile to EE with a PAC code as they are basically one company.
However, my experience with the complaints department improved my whole view of the situation to a degree. I had a specific person dealing with my problem, and although she had difficulties sorting the problem, she called my with regular updates, and proactively tried to find ways around the issue. In the end, my first EE bill AND T-Mobile bill was refunded by Carphone warehouse. I am suspicious that the problem with the number transfer was actually caused by T-Mobile/EE rather than CPW, and considering this, I think CPW did their best in the end. However, I maintain that their frontline telephone support staff could be better trained.

Basically I bought a Google Nexus 7 as it seemed like a fair price £139. So I bought the product took with me and started to use it. Then 4 days later the machine won't turn on. I couldn't for the life of me understand why this was. So I Googled the problem ( oh the irony). There is know fault with the ASUS built Google Nexus 7 where the battery disconnects and the whole thing stops working. It is not like this is a small issue either there are tons of post about people having the same problem.
I then called the Carphone Warehouse and they didn't care about the fact that it was faulty and that they knowingly sold this. They refuse to give a refund because I didn't have the packaging. They told me you have to respect our policy etc and I was thinking how they can we respect their policy or their company when they do not care about their customers.
I eventually went to Citizens advice and they informed that because it has been a short time that they should refund the items. So they pawned me off and totally wasted my time. I will not ever be buying an android device or buying anything form that shop again, nor will I be buying an ASUS product.
These companies knowingly sell faulty products to people.
No wonder Carphone warehouse is going down the drain.
If I could give them less than a star, I would. I simply wanted to upgrade my iPhone. My order had been cancelled multiple times and they could not even tell me the clear reason why. When I fixed it myself, I was told I would receive it the following day. Waited around all day to NOT receive it. Was told I was going to receive a £50 voucher because I threatened to cancel my contract due to having to spend over £10 to ring 5 useless morons on Customer services. On the Monday the voucher did not come with my phone. When contacting them again I was basically called a liar until they finally traced the 2 seperate calls where I was told by two males I was definitely going to receive this voucher. By then I had dealt with 8 different members of staff over the phone. When I then went in store also, the man who served me asked me when the iPhone 5S came out, which was 3 days before and he doesn't know this yet works in a phone store? Then tells me I can't use the voucher yet for my 5S because all cases are a different size to a 5 as it is slimmer. Which is not even true as I had already done my research. All these people should not be working for this company as they don't have a clue what they are on about.
LIARS, PATRONISING, USELESS, AND RUDE
i had a sony xperia j phone and condensation as got in some how so it started making a strange noise only had it 3 months i had a insurance taken out on it so i took it to the carphone warehouse in the mall in blackburn where they sent it away and when it came back they said it could not be repaired they have given me a cheap huswell y300 phone which is half the price i paid for the sony i found this very unfair i offered to put extra too to buy the next sony as the xperia J is no longer available they refused i have spoken with there complaints department and they have sent me a letter saying more or less its tough i would recommend to every one never take out insurance with them because its totally unfair we have bought 3 phones from them this year i will not deal with them again
Beware calling Carphone warehouse as the call charges for calls beginning with 0843 538 **** are 14.94p connection and 12.41p per minute. Take a very long time to answer....I wonder why.
You have been warned.

I can't fault carphonewarehouse.co.uk at all. I ordered a mobile over the phone and the lady was so polite and fantastic. The service she provided was perfect and I cannot fault a single thing. I ordered the mobile Friday and she informed me it would be here the next day. 20mins later the lady called me back to tell me she had made a mistake and the mobile will get to me Monday, she believed it was a Thursday thinking next da would be Friday. The mobile arrived within the hr slot DPD provided and I am thrilled with the phone. The process was simple and I had no issues what so ever.
Why Not To Buy From CPW
I am interested in learning more about the 28 days refund/return policy with CPW and what the implications are of a forced repair service. Also interested in how/why CPW complaints staff put themselves forward as legal professionals offering biased legal advice and opinions on behalf of CPW.
As far as I know the Supply of Goods Act ensures a manufacturer's warranty and the Sales of Goods Act gives use time to accept goods of satisfactory quality. When purchasing a brand new phone, things such as durability cannot possibly be tested and if a touch screen becomes unresponsive in under 6 months of initial purchase it is up to CPW to prove it was not faulty from point of sale.
Does any act or law give CPW the legal right to change what I thought was six years (reasonable time) to 28 days? Does CPW have the legal right to prove faults on a phone did not exist from point of sales because the customer did not ring every day to report the problem with in the first 28 days? Do CPW have the right to unbox, activate and flick through menus (demonstration) at point of purchase with no consent from buyer (may want to leave it boxed)?
Situation is being sold a phone in just over four months ago that did have a laggy screen but not wanting to be a "naggy" customer - put up with it and eventually saw the screen deteriorate over time and become unresponsive. When going to the store I was told I have to accept a loan phone (shared by most of UK) which was not even a smart device (no email/apps) - both unhygienic and inconvenient for me. This was insisted upon but I refused. I expected to be offered a replacement instead but this did not happen. I would have been happy with a 100% clean smartphone loan phone but this was refused.
When calling complaints, the advisor I spoke to told me he was the head trainer for consumer law in the department. He spent 45 mins telling me how he could offer refund/replacement if he wanted but did not want to. Instead he advised me to check a 'Which Website' to revise my consumer rights. Advised I have no legal right to "not accept" or "reject" the goods based on the fault as the warranty superseded my statuary rights.
After giving up on trying to communicate the inconvenience to CPW I unfortunately decided to write up a letter of rejection (after about 6 phone calls & 2 store visits) asking for a full refund (as opposed to a better loan phone or replacement)which will be with CPW soon. Quite a horrible experience but now waiting to hear back from them.
If you have struggled to get a replacement/refund in the first six months of purchase, it would be interesting to know how CPW dealt with the fault. It seems like CPW profit from insisting on using manufacturer warranties as opposed to using the contract entered (SOGA) then forcing customers into repairs, not having to replace or refund the item or even offering it as an option past the first 28 days.
Other retailers have not ever done this and surely buying a phone off CPW must be a negative / counter-productive task.
Just signed up to Vodafone-new Samsung G S4, unlimited texts, minutes and 1Gb data through Carphone warehouse-all for £33 per month. I left my then provider Tescomobile thinking I got a great deal-HOWEVER when I got my first bill...the £33 turned into £39.60 as they failed to tell me (when buying and in the supposed small print) that they add VAT after the £33; i.e. it's £33 excluding VAT! Now I'm saddled with this for 2 years! SO not such a good deal after all-how 'sneaky'! SO BEWARE THE SNEAKS AT CARPHONE WAREHOUSE/ VODAFONE!
I purchased a mobile in Canterbury, but live in Margate, i have had a few problems with my phone but i must be honest, the staff at the Margate branch of CARPHONE WAREHOUSE have been very kind to me ,helped me when i have just dropped in, given me good advice, i can only praise the staff at Margate branch, well done!! Martin, Westbrook, Margate
I went into the Castlepoint, Bournemouth branch today, wanting to upgrade my iPhone but didn't have the confidence to do it online. Amy led me through the process step by step and didn't make me feel foolish at all. A very friendly, helpful and efficient girl -thanks Amy.
I told the sales person wanted an upgrade to my old Nokia 6303 so I upgraded to Nokia 520.
The sales person didn't tell me that the 520 needs a micro SIM, so that rendered my old SIM useless. He also asked me if I wanted a £5 top up to which I agreed. The top up came on an ordinary SIM (which wouldn't work in the phone he had sold me) and not only that it was linked to an entirely different phone number ! When I phoned Virgin to get the balance transferred they told me that there was no balance on the different number SIM! CPW Customer support have told me "you have been sold a SIM with £5 of credit on it with a different telephone number" DUH!
I'm still trying to get the £5 back from CPW
Carphone Warehouse have a nice little revenue generating fraud which they perpetuate on customers buying PAYG handsets who return them, or for whatever reason do not receive their orders. A customer buying a PAYG handset from Carphone Warehouse must also purchase an airtime bundle of £10 from a choice of providers. However, should you not be happy with your purchase and you return it you do not get refunded the £10 airtime. More seriously, if you are not in at time of delivery for an online order, and for whatever reason are unable to collect item from delivery agent, Carphone Warehouse collude with their delivery agents to have the item returned to them at which point they refund the cost of the handset only and you are again £10 out of pocket. Sadly, UK consumer laws allow this type of practice and unscrupulous operators such as Carphone Warehouse take full advantage of that situation.
A google search of reviews for this company will also quickly reveal many other examples of customer exploitation practiced by Carphone Warehouse and of shockingly poor standards of customer service. Sadly, they do however continue to thrive by drawing in new customers with low prices. Despite the tragedy of our high streets becoming abandoned wastelands this is one chain myself and many others would rejoice in having removed from our high streets permanently.
I took a SIM only contract direct with TMobile in the hope to build up some good credit history with the network, upon doing this I applied for a deal with carphonewarehouse for the Sony Xperia z, this went through fine and I was delivered the handset and SIM card the following day. It was coming up to my partners birthday and he seemed to really like my phone so I asked him if he would like one, he said yes so we went direct to Tmobile in-store to get his phone, this was not an issue, credit check went through swimmingly and was handed another new Sony Xperia z and my partner was happy, a few days later my handset (from CPWH) started playing up, the internet wouldn't load and phone calls became muffled, I then phoned carphone warehouse in order to report the fault and was told it was a SIM error and to call TMobile customer service. I did this and the person on the end of the phone said that they had the number listed but my name was not on the account listed for this number which got me rather confused and irate, not to mention worried! I then phoned carphonewarehouse back and explained what customer service at TMobile had said, the lady in CPWH store asked me to come in so I agreed, hoping that there was going to be a solution to this problem, after all, it just seemed like a simple error that needed correcting (how mistaken was I)! Later that afternoon I visited my local CPWH store and explained the problem and the sales person seemed helpful and gave me a new handset as there may have been a fault causing the internet not to load and other faults, she phoned TMobile who said that their systems were down and to call back in an hour so naturally my partner and I paced the town centre for an hour and then went back into store to be greeted by the same lady as before, she phoned TMobile who again said that this number was not linked to my name and in fact somebody else's. After a lengthy conversation, it turns out that I had actually been declined a handset by CPWH, they had in fact done their own credit check which was passed, only subject to a second check by the network provider which was TMobile, this credit check takes up to a couple of days and CPWH send out a handset under the assumption that you will pass the networks own check, this wouldn't have been a problem if I hadn't have gone to the TMobile store to take out the second handset because I passed TMobile's credit check in-store, it cancelled out the one I had already taken out from carphonewarehouse which had actually just declined the check (four days after the handset was delivered), I was then asked to return the handset to the sales person and was left with no phone because I had already sold mine! In essence, why are carphonewarehouse handing out handsets before all credit checks are complete, I'm now without a phone and have had my credit rating destroyed due to being declined a second line which I wouldn't have attempted to get if I had known this was going to happen!
Do not trust carphonewarehouse unless you want to keep your phone for a week and have it taken away from you!
I ordered an Asus tablet in discounted price from their online store, I received my order confirmation in the morning, but 8 hours later , they sent me another email which said they can't process order because my payment detail was not right. I phoned them to double check my payment details, at first they said the bank blocked the transaction, after several calls to the bank they told me every detail of my payment is correct, it is carphone warehouse didn't accept the payment . I phoned the store told them how bank responsed, however they find another reason to refused my purchase ,said I failed their security check, instantly cancelled my order. I feel furious coz I used my card paid hundred items online, no store refused it. So these people just kept lying in order to refuse u if they don't want to sell the discounted item. Disgusting Staff and dreadful service, AVOID THAT COMPANY AT ALL COSTS!!!!!
I had a contract with CPW several years ago. Called up to cancel in 2008. Was told I had earnt £300 reward and did I want a free year as a reward. I said I wanted to cancel the contract and get a SIM card but didn't mind taking the free stuff if I had earnt it. Found out this year that the telesales agent had signed me into a contract without telling me. Complained to CPW and they said that I had signed into a contract and there was nothing I can do about it. Complained to the Ombudsman and they took 2 months to tell me that they agreed with CPW. I find it hard to believe that I have no rights at all! Further than this I am trying to get a mortgage and this bloody blackmail from this terrible company is holding me to ransom! I urge everyone to cancel their contracts with CPW and never use them again.
I would say that Carphone Warehouse has the best customer service I have ever experienced.
So my story. I bought an iPhone 5 £25 a month 1000mins, 5000 texts and unlimited data, Three Network. From day one I had a problem with the device that the battery was really bad and the phone kept on freezing.
Me a stupid idiot took the phone to Apple Genius Bar 11 days after I bought the phone. They replaced my BRAND NEW IPHONE 5 with a REMANUFACTURED PHONE! I got so mad after that I was complaining and complaining to Apple (who are said have the best customer service) said they won't replace it with a new phone. Somehow I managed to argue my way so that they would give me back my original phone.
Took it to Carphone Warehouse Lakeside and was met by an amazing staff member named Jay and he said there wasn't any fuss they would just give me a brand new sealed iPhone 5.
I could of just done this the first time for less stress, but I would reccommend everyone to go for Carphone Warehouse to get any contracts. Best customer service and best prices!
And I also bought another iPhone 5 contract, 500mins, unlimited texts and unlimited data. For £26 a month an £99 upfront cost! And of course from Carphone Warehouse!
Ordered a phone deal on a Saturday evening and got my phone delivered to my local store at 1105hrs on the next working day; I arrived at the store (Stafford Queens Retail Park) and was greeted immediately by a very helpful employee who gave me helpful advice and I had my phone up and working immediately. Thank you ! Excellent service and a seamless pleasant transaction, I will definitely return !!
My sister bought me a phone here and the sales assistant mentioned about a great deal with Geek-squad insurance. I said no thanks but my sister thought it was a bargain at £1.99 per month and the fact that they said you would get a new mobile straight away if it stopped working/accidental damage/dropped it etc...
The other week my phone stopped working, the touch screen, everything just stopped. Rang Geek squad insuarance and they said take phone to carphone warehouse. Took the phone there and the sales assistant said 'this phone won't switch on?' ERM of course it won't..it's stopped working!!!!!! he said he would book it in to send off for repair. Meanwhile i asked about a replacement handset as stated by geek squad? he said because it's not working it needs to be sent for repair that can take 28 days!!!!! they can't give a replacement handset unless it's an insurance claim that has been accepted???? So what on earth was the point of having the geek squad insurance???
I shall never use carpohne warehouse again. The staff are rude, arrogant and in need of proper training. Oh yeah and by the way...when i went into a store in London, one of the staff was kicking a football around!!! yes is that mean't to be working?
This happened year's ago. I have not received any produce from them after I had ordered and paid a bluetooth headphone. I was trying to connect them. But still nobody reply me. It is really strange. Fortunately, that is not too expensive. I just don't want to buy anything from them.
Pre ordered my Galaxy S4 with Carphone warehouse and received an £80 accessories bundle and a free Samsung Galaxy Tab 2, although my S4 was a day late (due to Samsung's change in release) they gave me a free £40 speaker so im really impressed. I also pre ordered my old Galaxy Note II last year and that went smoothly as well!
I ordered a Samsung galaxy refurbished from them before Easter.... they delivered it quickly although the phone came rattling around in the box! I put it together and charged it! The battery lasted half hour, then turned off and never came on again for 2 days!! I arranged a return and they picked it up on the 3rd April! I was told on the phone when I arranged the return I would receive a refund within 3 - 5 working days! 5 working days passed... NO REFUND! I called and the sales adviser said it would be from when they received it, on the 5th April! I waited 2 more days and called again! The sales adviser said 10 working days! I also paid an extra £10 for a sim card which I wasn't going to use as I needed a replacement phone for my contract sim! So the sim card wasn't used or opened! I was told then on the phone that the adviser who arranged my refund should of advised me to keep the sim card.. which they never did! So I am losing out on £10! I asked the adviser if I could have a new sim card sent to me so I can sell it or make use of it! He said they are unable to do that! He then said the refund will be with me within 10 WORKING DAYS!!! Whatt???? So in the meantime, I've written 2 complaints to carphone warehouse which have not been responded too! I called them today as today has been well over 10 days and I'VE STILL NOT BEEN REFUNDED!!!!!! I demanded to speak to someone to make a complaint! He went and spoke to a manager and they have to wait for 2 days to get a voice recorded phone call from when I arranged the return so they can hear for themselves that the adviser didn't tell me to keep the sim card and told me 3 - 5 working days!! I now have to wait 10 WORKING DAYS FROM THE DAY THEY RECEIVE THE RECORDING!!!! WTF???? So angry with them but now what can I do??They don't even reply to complaints!! Disgusting customer service will never purchase from them or recommend!!! DISGUSTING COMPANY AM GOING TO WRITE COMPLAINTS EVERYWHERE SO NO ONE BUYS FROM THEM!!!!!

I got a samsung galaxy s3 and had to take it back to the carphone warehouse to be checked over as apps were crashing. The guy said he would have to send it off,and it could take up to 2 weeks to be looked at by other engineers they said they would contact me when it came back into store so i could collect it. 2 weeks later i rang carphone warehouse on the friday to be told my phone was in the store and had been since Tuesday but nobody from the store had rang to tell me it was ready for collection. The second incident was i went to upgrade and got a phone with a samsung tablet to be told they didnt have the stock in and would deliver the next day which was fine. I waited in all day for delivert at 5pm i rang customer services to ask them when was my order expected to be told it had only left the depot at 1.15pm that afternoon and they said it would be monday it would be expected to arrive. I logged the first complaint and said i wasnt happy at all that the inconvenience they had caused when i had to make alternative arrangements with family and friends. Over the wkd i noticed the handset was working a lot slower so again not satisfied with an apology and the hand set i rang to complain. The first woman who i spoke to said said they werent prepared to change the hand set, and werent prepared to offer me anything for the inconvienence that they had caused myself. She then put me onto another guy who basically told me i had to options i could either go out onto the street and sell the phone or return the goods. At this point i was furious and made my mind up to return goods and have nothing else to do with the company. On the day i went to return the goods another manager contacted me apologising and offered me some accessory for the samsung tablet.I said that i was absolutely discusted on the way the situation had been dealt with and with the options i had been given, and was returning the goods and, didnt want anything else to do with company.
