Cash converters Crawley - Shop manager Wayne
My son did a buy back agreement with cash converters with his x box 360. was sold to them in perfect condition for £75. Upon my son buying it back 3 weeks later, for £110 he took it home only to find it doesnt work, whereas it was in perfect order upon selling it to them (they tested it) He immediately took it back to the store to complain, and the crawley store have been rude and very unhelpful, saying my son must of broken it after taking it out of the store, and will not assist in any way. I think they have breached trading terms here, and have contacted their head office to say i will take legal action if it is not fixed or replaced. Disgusting service!!!! If no call back from them within 48 hours, I will take this further
I order a game on a saturday night and was supposed to have it on the tuesday, but I gave it a couple days before I called because I thought it just may be a late delivery. Ring on the following Monday to find out that the game I ordered is still in the stock room and the guy they sent to look for it couldnt find it so they gave up looking. So when I rang they found it and I recived it the next day. All I was offered as an apology was my £1.20 postage back.
I wait over a week for something I should have waited 2 days for, im offered crap compo and the staff just seem to be usless.
Doubt I will purchase from yourselves online again l. Not worth the wait or time
yes some of their prices are great but my god their customer services are shocking! i paid for 48hr delivery my item turned up a week later! i then contacted the head office to complain and all i was told is because it's a franchise operation it's not their responsibility and nobody can be held accountable talk about a fob off. if you can try to avoid shopping with them online!
Box came with mini disc player well wrapped in bubble wrap but the box was misshapen like it been used as a football. The delivery was left at the botom entrance of next door flats and we didn't get in for days. No card through our door to say it had been deliverd.
Wrong item weeks to sort out and communication awful.
I have just edited this review to continue with the saga, I sent several emails at least two hours on the phone in total which I have to pay for.
The item I bought was wrongly listed, the Camden store just copied and pasted something they found on the Internet.
The packaging was dreadful, done by a five year old , no that's a disservice to a five year old, they are much more clever. They obviously do not want to communicate when there is an issue. I am shocked at the amount of negative comments I have seen today.
Found this site so useful, so many things i'd like to BUY .... so little time.,
I purchased an Iphone 4 s online from the Barnsley store. I received it no problem. On inserting my sim card found I couldnot send or receive calls. I took the phone to my service provider to see if they could fix it to be told the phone has been blocked and was in fact a stolen phone. I then took my phone to the Hull branch of cash converters to be met by a very rude young girl who said "what do you expect me to do about it ,you never got it from here". I was given no advice on what I could do. I then rang the Barnsley store to be told to ring the next day as no one was in that could deal with it.
I finally got someone the next day to be told to send the phone back .I have since done this but as yet have not received my refund. I would never shop with them again as they do not check if the items they are selling are stolen or actually working
Cashconverters are a great store to deal with, i use their online facility and have bought several items from them. All as described, well packaged and delivered really quickly. A really efficient and trustworthy company. i would recommend them to anyone.
Trailed through Ebay, Gumtree and Pre loved for days for my wife's Ipad birthday present. With the day looming I decided to check on line with Cash Converters and there was exactly the spec I wanted, boxed and all. Always after a bargain, even though the price was the best up to date, I made 3 best offers, my last one being accepted. I called the store on Wednesday afternoon after my bid being accepted (Wife's birthday on Sunday) and they delivered on Friday. Overall a good experience from a recognised high-street shop and a warranty too.
A very helpful and honest service from the person I spoke to in Doncaster when ordering a phone after seeing it online. He was very accommodating and mentioned to call him if I had any concerns about the phone. The phone was delivered within the 5 day delivery period to London. It was as seen online and in good condition.
All in all, I was very pleased with Cashconverters as this was the first time I had puchased anything from them.
I ordered an item which was damaged in transit. I refused the delivery when I noticed that the packaging was ripped and the casing of the speaker scraped and cracked. After alerting the stafford branch I was hoping that the a refund will be issued however I was told that the item was still in working order and was sent again for a delivery.
I am not impressed with the service and I think this should've been handled in a different manner.
I have purchased many things from CC but this one was really bad experience.
I ordered online and paid but there was no confirmation of dispatch for 2 days. In spite of emailing and asking I had no response for a couple of days.
I was nervous because a previous experience had lead me to purchase something which I was told the day after was already sold !!!
I placed an offer for a Bosch Multi-tool with the Hyde store, which was accepted and I paid. Later in the day I had a call to say there would be a delay sending it. Next day an email arrived "Hi Brian - We've refunded your money" but no explanation why. I phoned, they could not find the tool. I then mailed the Stevenage store about the description of one they had on offer, it did not say which version they were selling. No reply, next day phoned -no pick up, wrote again - no reply, phoned again to be told item should not have been listed!
Bought one from Amazon - no problems.
Delivery time was incredible and a smooth transaction.
Now the bad
The neck of the bass guitar is warped, making playability and buzz an issue.
Not sure if because it wasn't packed very well but one of the tuning pegs was bent, and the headstock scratched very near to it, this could have possibly happened via transit. The bridge nuts are warped making me unable to adjust the action of the bass guitar on the A string.
I would not have bought or sold this guitar for the price of £130 pounds, as it's damaged goods and will cost about another £150 pounds to rectify with a neck replacement/bridge replacement/tuning peg replacement.
I needed a reasonably priced smartphone. Initially I found one "on line" via the Barrow in Furness branch but (reassuringly) they checked it before despatch and found it faulty. They immediately refunded my money and their assistant branch manager promised to keep an eye out for a suitable replacement with the promise of a 10% discount to compensate for my dissapointment.
As it turned out I was able to find an identical purchase via the Rochdale branch who also kindly accepted a bid of approx 10% below the quoted price. This phone arrived promptly, works perfectly and accurately meets their description. I am totally happy with my buying experience and have already recommended Cashconverters to a friend.
I made an offer on a Blu Ray. They accepted by offer and I completed the transaction. 3 days later I received an automated message indicating I was being issued a refund. I emailed them to confirm that my order was cancelled and they never replied.
So their online stock is not accurate and their customer service is non-existent. Avoid.
Bought a bass at a great price and reasonable postage, item was delivered very quickly and very well packed. Guitar was in good condition as described, got a bargain.
Wouldn't hesitate to use again, and would recommend to others.
Absolutely no reservations at all about Cash Converters. I found the product I wanted at a very good price. I also received the item quickly and it was well packaged and exactly as described. An excellent buy from placing the order right through to receiving it.
I did have purchase two items from you but both are found faulty
no one is unlocked Iphone but it is not unlocked so I had returned that item and got refund but have lost postage charge
2nd. item I have had purchased galaxy s4 in excelent condition but it has dip damp on it so i had returned it.you also sent me refund of 320gbp which I have not received yet.I have lost 13.95 in this transection as postage charge without my any fault.
this is not fair
you must refund me my full amount.
The ordering process was very easy to use but I was a little disappointed at the item not being dispatched until 9th August having made the payment before 9:30 am on
8th August. I do a lot of shopping online and am used to items that have been paid for so early in the day being dispatched on the day of order.
Very good service but my ipad and case, which were described as 'as new' werent. The case was damaged quite badly and i had to replace it. the ipad seems to be working fine, it occasionally gets stuck on a page but seems to fix itself. Also the item was incredibly dirty which i wouldnt have expected and i needed to clean it up myself
Id say for the price it is a really good buy, but the description wasnt accurate as the case was damaged and i would say the ipad ran flawlessly. it has made me slightly more wary of using them in future.
On 27th July was looking for phone for my 16 year old as he had broken his screen on samsung s2, and as hes on contract needed to replace asap, so we looked on Cash Converters website, he found a nokia lumia 820 priced at £12, I knew this was incorrect price, so I gave him my card and we paid for it straight away. Surprise surprise on Monday morning I get an email from cash converters, saying that this phone had been sold in the store over the weekend and the website hadnt been updated. This was utter bullshit, they realised they had made an error with the price and wouldnt honour it , so come up with this rubbish about being sold in store. I emailed them straight back and never heard from them again. So wouldnt ever have anything to do with this company again
Received my item thru the post, very well packaged, item arrived really fast trouble is it was a box set with Dvds missing, e-mailed and got a phone number, phone number was a waste of time, e-mailed again and was told someone would ring me, 5 days and still waiting for the Call
I was very pleased with the service I received from Cash converters. I had ordered a Nintendo 3DS, at a very reasonable price pre-owned. They payment process was very simple, and secure.
My only qualm was that - the payment address and the postage address happened to be different for this order, but the website was less helpful in showing me which address the item was going to be shipped to!
I was so worried that It would be shipped to the wrong address that I canceled my order and started again! Unfortunately - It was still shipped to the wrong address, but that ended up not being too much of an issue (Luckily!)
I contacted customer support to ask then to please resolve the issue, but got no response back at all. That could certainly be improved upon, but other than that - I was very happy with my purchase. It was smooth and relatively quick, and the product was perfect.
I recently ordered an Olympus Camera from the Cash Convertors website. I have previously ordered electrical items from the website and have been satisfied with the level of service and speed of delivery. My low rating is not a reflection of Cash Convertors themselves but more the Couriers they use, in this case " City Link". On the day of delivery, my parceled up Camera was left on my front Door step for aprox 6 hours while I was out at work!!! No one had to sign to say it had been delivered and I live on a busy street and it was obvious to anyone going past my House, that a parcel had been left outside!! If I was a less "Truefull" person, I could of made out it had never arrived and asked for a refund, this I was advised to do by work mates of mine, so i'm sure Customers may of done this in the past with similar situations to mine!!
Maybe Cash Convertors should run a survey to see what Customers thought of the delivery service???
Sadly, the expensive acoustic guitar I purchased through the website was in fairly bad shape when it turned up so I immediately sought to return it for a full refund.
Many thanks to the staff (inc. store manager Mike Knowles) at the Wallasey branch for making the returns process so smooth. Very much appreciated.
Would definitely do business again.
My first experience buying from Cash Converters online - and a good one. I was looking for a Kodak Playsport ZX5 HD video camera, and after only ever seeing them in refurbished or used condition on ebay, I trawled the internet, where buried deep in the search results I found one for sale on their website. They accepted my slightly lower offer than the asking price, and within 3 days of paying I had the unit, in fantastic condition and with the added bonus of a 16gb sd card included. If I had one minr observation it would be about the payment methods. The site says they accept Paypal, and I was basing my purchase on the fact that I had some funds in my paypal account. When I actually went to pay, paypal was completely absent from the payment options, so I had to pay with my debit card. A minor issue, but one that might be a problem to some; I emailed them about it but never got a reply. All in all a great purchase and I would use them again.
