Ordered an item, paid for it, waited for it to arrive, it didn't. I had to contact them to find out where item was, they said item had been sold in store on Saturday, I bought item on the previous Friday.
They were not in the slightest bit bothered, just said my money had been refunded, no apology, no alternative, no concern.
Good luck with treating future customers this way.
I ordered a phone on the cash converters website and then noticed they had listed it twice. To make sure I got my item I contacted them to have the duplicate removed. They first told me it was a different listing so I emailed back telling them the item number was the same. Credit due they then apologized for their mistake and removed the duplicate.
The big problem came when I received the phone and found they headphone jack was broken, it had something stuck down it. I contacted cash converters, who told me to contact the branch (Blackburn), which I did. I asked politely for them to pay for a replacement part for me to fit myself as this fault wasn't explained on the listing, which I felt was very generous of me as if I had asked them to repair it that would have cost them 3 times that. I never got a response.
I needed the headphone socket so I can use the phone when commuting so ended up paying and fitting the new part myself, at my own cost. Not happy, the item ended up costing me almost 30% more than listed due to this fault.
I Purchased an item on the 17/04/2013 at 10.35am ,i paid for the item useing my card and the money for the item was taken .I checked back the following morning to see the status of the item and it was still Awaiting dispatch ,i contacted the store i had bought the item from and was told the same thing .On 19/04/2013 at 16:47 i got an email telling me my item was dispached but not told if it was by courier or post and after payment of £86.96 i would hope it was via courier and had to take the day of work to wait in .Low and behold it is now 14:42 no info after two emails have been sent asking for more info eg tracking number or how my item was posted so it looks like i will loose another days wage by haveing to take monday off work also.

My first experience of cash converters online was the best experience I had, just type in what I was looking for and there they were. I saw the item I wanted, and decided to make an offer, and it was accepted. It was sent special delivery so I did not have to wait long for my item. Totally fantastic........
I bought a mobile phone which was advertised as 'unlocked'. It wasn't, and unlocking cost me another £35. I emailed Cashconverters about this but have still received no reply. Other than that the phone was unmarked and the initial service pretty good. Just a shame that what happened afterwards hasn't brought any kind of apology, let alone refund.
Voice recorder on sale at stoke shop for £25 + £5 PP. Made an offer of £15 + £5pp: Declined. Made a second offer of £20 + £5PP:Declined. with a email saying the manager says I can have it for guess what............. £25 +£5pp does this make any sence to anyone if they had put it up for offers. suggest they save letter and just show a sale price only.
Contacted the shop after finding a rather cheap item online. Received a quick and detailed response and placed my order within a few minutes of reading it.
The item was despatched the next working day, and was well packaged. Postage also cost more than I paid which saved me a bit of money as well which was nice.
The item was also as described which for the price was a great deal.
Considering the haste of the response and how well every step of the process was handled I would definitely purchase from here again.
I bought a game from Cash Converters ... unfortunately it did not work ... I fell foul of the dread Steam scam ... I am not sure if Cash Converters are aware, but if you buy a game from a computer shop and the game requires Steam Activation then the person who bought it can activate it on their own computer then come along to cash converters and trade it in for cash ... however, if you come along and then buy it and take it home and try and put it on to your computer it will not work ... Why, because the person who owned it before you can carry on playing the game on their computer because they still hold the activation code ... I have contacted Steam and they will not deactivate the other person code ... So you are left with a game that will not work and never will again ..
So do be careful ... check if the game is Steam activated if it is .... steer well clear ..
Purchase arrived accurist watch! In a complete state, did not work badly scratched, bracelet had nearly all the links taken out so watch must have been from a person with a extremely small wrist.complained to branch who organised a full refund eventually so overall not that impressed.photo on web site gave the wrong impression, watch looked better than it was? Should have had description as well worn and badly scratched but didn't!,watch was only £35 all in but still was a load of rubbish
Communication with the branch was fantastic, questions answered promptly. Delivery was affected by the snow which is no-ones fault and I know that if the snow had not fallen then the delivery would have been on time. Packaged superbly and securely to ensure that the item that I ordered was received in tip top condition. Very impressed with the service and will be buying again without a second thought.
Ordered my item then it took ages to be delivered, item wasn't what i had seen on the website let a lone the same product. Told to send items back for refund and i still haven't received my refund. Not pleased even though the person that answered my questions was helpful and understanding.
I wanted a lens for my camera to try a different type of photography. I ordered a Nikon fit Sigma lens, and received a Cannon fit lens. Although I got a full refund I was shocked to hear that the same lens with an exact word for word description was available. When I contacted the store they said this was a second lens they had however it was the exact same! Only the price was 40% dearer!! I sent back the lens I received and still awaiting the return postage refund!!
What annoys me the most is when I asked the operator at the end of the phone she couldn't tell me why the same lens was now 40% dearer and where my lens had got to!
Well first off from the beginning i purchased fifa 13 for ps3 from cash converters hayes store paid the postage for delivery 3 or 4 days passed by and on the account section it was still displaying awaiting dispatch so i thought i would just give the shop a quick call to enquire to be informed that the game i purchased turned out to be very badly damaged/scratched beyond repair in their own words, so they would not be dispatching the item and did not have any other copies in stock but if i would like them to hang on to my money they would dispatch a copy as soon as they got 1 in i explained i would not be happy to do this as it is a gift for somebody i would like a refund to then be told 'oh well i dont have authority to do this my manager is off until friday so i will wait until then and get them to issue the refund' i had to wait another 2 days again until the friday before they would even send the refund So firstly why was the game accepted and not checked in the first place before being advertised or put on the shelf for sale? And secondly why is there not a manager or stand in manager for sales such as this in store at all times? This can only lead to many unhappy customer's. Absolutely ridiculous service worst online shopping experience ever and will be the last with cash converters. I can only advise if you are considering and online purchase with cc i would advise Do Not go to your local cc if they dont have your item go to a different shop. Online purchases with cc will only end up being a disappointment and inconvenience.
Having had two bad experiences with Amazon regarding mobiles (advertised, then after purchase told it was now unavailable, later readvertised, is it me?! I was told by a friend about Cashconvertors. When googling the model I wanted a link to their website came up. I bought a used mobile at the advertised cost, when it came there was a list of checks that had been made to ensure it was kosher. It was a great phone until it got very wet in my pocket while dog walking in one of many 2012 downpours. The local shop replaced the screen at £90 but due to shorting out internally parts of it still did not work, very frustrating! I decided to dump it and buy another, had the Amazon experiences, searched CC and found one, the price was too high but offers were accepted. I put in a sensible offer which was accepted. The mobile is excellent, as described, however on this occasion I did not receive a check list.
That's it, two excellent mobiles for the price of one new one! Long live CC.
Had a good service with Cash Converters, however tried to contact them about a missing mouthpiece ( I bought a cornet ), they emailed me to say they would investigate but have not heard from them since. This is a shame as I would have been happy to use them again.
The drum machine was received very quickly but only one drum stick was suppied. despite following this up no satisfactory reply has been received only "looking into it". Shame as this after sales experience spoilt the swift despatch and delivery of the item.
