first class and thorough customer service
Decided to splash out on a proper cast iron radiator and found the experience of buying it from Cast Rads brilliant.
The website has obviously been designed by a knowledgeable person - well thought out and easy to navigate - the choices and pricing is clear and then when I pressed the Go button the after care service begins. A call to let me know about a small change, a further call the following day to check my diary for the proposed day of delivery and the fact that they are using a new two man delivery system in London which means I did not have to lift a thing!

excellent
Just bought Marquis towel radiator.We are very pleased with the quality of it. Looks really good in our bathroom. Collected it from the showroom at manchester ourselves because we live near by. Nick served us and was very helpful, would highly recommend this company.

Hot service and beautful rads.
I bought a huge cast-iron radiator from Castrads last August. The service was fantastic from the first moment I contacted the office; the folks there helped me to choose the radiator, advised me on the size I'd need, positioning and so on. Nicholas (who is based in the London showroom), very kindly agreed to help me install the radiator when it arrived, and together we hefted the 180kg rad into place. (Well, Nick did most of the work really, but I made coffee and got the biscuits!) The radiator itself - a King 570mm - looks stunning against hardwood floors and really compliments our 1930s sitting room and bay window. It also produces a deliciously even temperature in the room and a massive BTU output. I can't recommend Castrads highly enough.

Great product and a really excellent service!
We are restoring and extending a Queen Anne period property and the cast iron radiators have an authentic look that perfectly complements the style of the house. They also are very practical and effective in heating our rooms well. Moreover, the communication and service from Castrads couldn't be better: their website is easy to navigate and understand and the response to both telephone and e-mail enquiries was always prompt and helpful. We are very happy to recommend Castrads without reservation. Many thanks.

Very happy with the service I received
Very happy to buy from Castrads and I will be using them again. The radiators I bought look great and the custom colours are perfect. The only niggle was that the invoice didn't itemise my order correctly and that led to some to-and-fro. Regardless, the order arrived correct and on-time.

Great service, great rads!
Recommend a visit to the workshop if you live close - Staff are friendly and helpful, delivered the rads as promised and we love them - will be ordering more in the future!

Best so far
I have purchased three cast iron radiators so far, the last from castrads. I found their build your own radiator web site superior to others I have used. I found everything I needed.

As easy as buying a new pair of shoes!
Knowing nothing about radiators and BTUs I wasnt looking forward to sourcing my two radiators. However, after speaking to Castrads I was pleasantly surprised to learn that with their help it was as easy as ordering a pair of shoes. I went for one in a powder copper coating and the other in a Farrow & Ball paint colour. They are both gorgeous and should last a lot longer than a pair of shoes!

Great product with the service to match.
Looking for cast iron rads I found castrads online and speaking to the owner I instantly felt comfortable and confident in placing an order for 10 rads for my Victorian property. I would have no reservations in recommending this company to absolutely anyone.

Wow ... beyond service and getting what I want for a change!
seamless process & when I placed my order I got a call to check that I had ordered the correct radiators as I selected 2 styles. I was very impressed with the advice.

Quick order time, great products, experts on traditional radiators
I have refurbished a number of houses with traditional radiators but have only this time used Castrads.
I was very impressed with their website which showed how knowledgeable they are and their promised short order time.
They are better than the other companies out there doing the same thing,in that they have a larger number of size options to choose from and available,I was after 3 column radiators which no other company was able to supply at the time, they provided the large number I needed in all in the various heights I required without any problems.
Their other advantage over the competition is that they offer a wide variety of lovely colour options available on the standard order time.
The order to delivery experience for what is a bespoke product was as quick and easy as ordering a standard newly manufactured product.
The radiators are lovely ,and have been the least hassle item in our large project.

Beautiful thermostatic radiator valves
The delivery was quick, the package arrived undamaged and the valves are beautiful. They compliment our black / burnished cast iron radiator perfectly. Really impressed with the product, the customer service was excellent and I would use Castrads again.

Great Products, Super Service, Perfect Communication
We are restoring our 1893 Queen Anne. The Radiators had seen better days, so I tried to find restored originals. It was very difficult. Then I gave Castrads a call. They provided the perfect sizes, styles, and colors to make the job a snap! Manufactured, finished and shipped to my door in Newport RI USA in THREE WEEKS. Unbelievable!! We love restoring magnificent old houses, I will use only CASTRADS for all our future cast iron radiator needs. They made finding the "right" radiators efficient and pleasurable. What a fantastic resource.

Absolutely first class from browsing the website to the radiator working in my hallway!
Everything worked brilliantly. Ordering - easy. Delivery - spot on. Tin of touch up paint - not needed because it was packaged so well.
Looks the business! Belts out the heat. The only negative is something that Castrads can do nothing about - the weight of these things! But that's why we buy them and love them.
I would highly recommend Castrads to everyone!!

Old style with up to date efficiency
The radiators are just exactly as I wanted. Old school radiator style but with up to date efficiency. As we are on a restricted whole house refurbishment budget I only bought two. Wish i could have done the whole house. Maybe I will in time to come. I visited the manchester showroom and was impressed on the whole production and the staff were professional and friendly. Can't wait to get them installed and show off to all my friends.

Very nice people to do business with
The website is good and a visit to showroom in London was useful as it was good to see the product in the flesh.
Everything was straightforward and we're very happy with the radiator which looks great .

Unacceptably inefficient and offensive
We ordered 2 radiators. On the delivery morning we were informed they couldn't deliver. We had hired somebody specially to lift the radiators from the kerbside into our house. After several phone calls Castrads eventually promised to send the radiators on a van that day. By 5 pm they had not turned up. We eventually managed to reach Castrads by phone and they then said that the van was not coming after all. We sent out labour home - at our expense! When we spoke to Castrads they were rude and offensive. We wanted to know how we could get delivery into our house - I am a pensioner and cannot carry the radiators. The Director of Castrads was unhelpful, offensive and rude to both myself and my wife. We cancelled the order on the spot.
I will not do business again with Castrads. A very bad experience.

Here is our version of events:
Castrads Managing Director, Chris, dealt with this after his assistant Margaret had done her best with the conflicting messages she was given by the Pallet Network, our outside haulier.
We were told by The Pallet Network that the goods could not be delivered that day. We were then told that the customer's radiators were at the depot local to the client and would be delivered that day after all. Finally, late on a Friday afternoon, we were told by The Pallet Network that the pallet had not left the Birmingham hub after all and definitely wouldn't be delivered that day. We were careful to let the customer know the situation immediately with every development throughout the day.
The earliest the haulier could then deliver was after the weekend. We offered to refund the £60 delivery charge.
The customer didn't accept this offer and asked that we send our own van from Manchester with 2 men to deliver the order inside his house on the Saturday. We explained that to do so would cost some £400 in fuel and labour. This was more than 50% of the value of the order.
Castrads then offered the customer a full refund which he accepted. The refund was made within 24 hours.
Chris felt he was as cordial as possible but evidently relations broke down after what was a frustrating day for all. The real culprit was the Pallet Network. Like all hauliers they occasionally get things wrong.

Excellent service
Although the radiators have not yet been delivered as I only placed the order a week or so ago the service received from castrads has been exceptional, really helpful and informative.
