I called the team at CheapTents several times while researching various items via the web, to pick their brains, ask for advice, get more details on the products etc. Each time I phoned they were helpful, informative and patient with me, which I greatly appreciated. I eventually found my Hubba HP tent slightly cheaper elsewhere, but decided to purchase from CheapTents because of their great service. The tent arrived the next day in perfect condition and I'm delighted with it.

Fantastic customer service

I telephoned to ask if an item was in stock which it wasn't. Within 10 minutes I'd received a phone call back advising that they could get required items in a day or two & despatched to me before the deadline I specified. This all happened no problems also being cheaper than Vango themselves - fantastic, will be buying from again.

Overall pleased with the service but I found the checkout a bit frustrating. I wanted to order 2 of one item, however when I increased the quantity from 1 to 2 in the box and then proceeded to the checkout I found that it had actually incraesed the order to 3 items. I then tried to change the order again to 2 items and returned to the checkout and found that I was now ordering 5 of the items.

I exited the website and came back in and found that I still had 5 of the item in the checkout!

I was going to order the item elsewhere, but could not find it in the time available. Eventually a couple of days later I came back to your website and this time was able to order two of the item without any problems.

The box that you were using adds products to those already in your basket. We have amended the text below the box to make this clearer.

The best way to change the quantity of a particular product which is already in your basket, is to go to "View Basket". The link to this is at the top of each webpage.

Two items ordered, one was out of stock!

I was looking forward to breaking in my Brasher Hillmaster GTX boots the weekend after successfully, or so I thought, placing the order with Cheaptents.

I was disappointed to hear that they weren't available after going through the purchasing process and subsequent concern that my card would be debited didn't help matters.
Fair play, a range of alternative boots were offered. In the end, made my Brasher purchase elsewhere.

Regarding your concerns about your card being debited, we never charge payment cards until the day that goods are ready to be despatched, therefore we would not have charged your card.

So, i bought a new pair of waterproof trousers from cheaptents for the lowest price on the net, and even got a further 10% off that price. Excellent email updates on the progress of the order and it arrived very rapidly. When it did the trousers are spot on, just as advertised. having looked around the site there are plenty of bargains and plenty more than just cheap tents, i would happily shop with them again

Very Good Service

This is the third tent I have bought from Cheap Tents, the first one I purchased about 20 years ago and its still going strong, I bought this after a visit to their showroom in Warrington and was impressed by the range and display on show in the warehouse.
I now live in the Highlands of Scotland and felt confident enough to buy on-line based on their website and its very good information.
The price was about the best on-line deal and the delivery charge was very reasonable for the 400 mile distance.
The products were quick to arrive and lived up to expectations.

Ordered 2 sets of instep crampons. Despite having only 1 set in stock, goods received promptly. Was pleasantly surprised to get an email advising of the possibility of a delay because of the need to obtain the 2nd set.

Three words, Top Notch Service.

Having searched the Internet for a ultralight 2 man tent, a friend of mine recommended Cheaptents.com. Best recommendation ever. I rang in the morning to see if they had a MSR Nook 2 in stock, along with suitable advice the answer was yes. I was very happy with the price so I placed my order that same morning. It arrived less than 48 hrs later, all this was backed up with a confirmation and a follow up e-mail. As for the MSR Nook 2 it arrived as described, another three words It's the Dogs.........

Still have not received goods - slow

Ordered goods, 2 days later tld the item was not in stock and I will have to wait 7-10 working days for delivery - still awaiting.

Consequently my opinion is not particually favourable at present, I just hope the commitment to 7-10 working days is upheld.

I don't know why I have been asked to write a review when I haven't even received my purchase yet...seven days after ordering it!

In these days of online ordering, when Amazon for example, can (always) deliver within 48 hours, I'm not impressed with Cheap Tents!

I was considering buying buying a tent, sleeping bag and other camping equipment from them and even though their prices are competitive, I shan't be buying from them again!
