The Worst by Far of the Online Chemists
A google search of this crowd will return numerous negative experiences from review sites and discussion forums. I can only add to them having had the misfortune of dealing with them on on more than one occasion - I didn't learn form my first experience.
I can advise that this company lists items as 'in stock' when in fact they are not. In my book that's fraud but they seemingly can get away with it. Customer service, by email anyway, is absolutley appalling. Emails rarely get a reply and are rarely acted on. When they do be prepared to wait for some considerable time.
My last order of 'in stock' items took 2 weeks to deliver - their own terms and conditions state despatch within 48 hrs. After 11 days had elapsed since the order was placed I cancelled it by email, having sourced the items elsewhere. 3 days later they thought it would be a good idea to despatch it. Delivery was refused and order was refunded minus the delivery charge as they claim order wasn't cancelled in time. In short - I waited 11 days for delivery, I cancelled it as there was no comunication, this in turn resulted in them despatching the order. Previous purchases also took several weeks to appear again with zero communication.
I can only imagine Trading Standards have their hands full with this crowd and quite how they are still trading given the level of compaints against them is beyond me.
Do yourself a big favour and avoid Chemist Direct like the plague. I would suggest Pharmacy2U for a hassle free experience for online shopping in this area.

Bad Service
I ordered £30 worth of goods at the beginning of january. It didn't come for three weeks, so I emailed (five times) before receiving a reply. The reply said that it would be despatched-and I have just received it.
Although I eventually got what I paid for almost 2 months ago, the customer service was awful and I shouldn't have had to wait 2 months for something that, at a little extra cost, I could have got from local chemists.
I would NOT recommend this company to anyone, in fact I would say steer clear of them!

taken money from my account and not send goods, this is fraud
I ordered from chemistdirect on 16/01/10,
still waiting and no replies to my 5 emails, wish I had seen this website before,
they have taken my money and not send the goods, that is fraud. does anyone know of any redress that we have on crooks like this. I for one will not let the matter rest, I will get my money back, this is a matter of principle

AWFUL TO DEAL WITH
I chose Chemist Direct over Boots, who NEVER have everything I need online. After 6 days no delivery from Chemist Direct so I called them and spoke to 'Andy' who assured me the goods were being despatched that very day (amazing coincidence!) The goods did not arrive so I called again to be told they were being 'part-despatched' today (1 day later).
I enquired as to why it was 'part-despatched' and why had I not been notified about this at the time of order, to which they had no answer - apparently I can expect the balance in around a week!!
As I had ordered various items important to me that meant another lost weekend without the goods I needed so needless to say I will NOT be using this cowboy outfit again, and I want the WHOLE WORLD to know about how awful they are!

Please please please avoid this rip off company. Everything that is said in these reveiws are correct. They sent part of my order after two weeks of waiting the stuff that arrived was battered!!! Ive emailed and spoke on numerous occasions regarding the rest of my order. They either dont reply or you get the same stock answer "I'll ticket it to the warehouse as urgent"????? Thank goodness I only spent 26.00 with them!!! I am going to make it my mission to leave a comment on every review website I find. Also going to warn other people on my own webpage..

Dreadful company and thieves
Absolutely the worst company on the internet. Steer well clear.
They lie all the time telling you they have emailed you or they will email you, saying they have dispatched goods, they have done this, that and the other... it is all lies. Plus half the things they claim to have online they do not actually have in stock. So don't expect a full order, even if it does arrive.
I placed an order and 1 month later it still had not even been dispatched so I cancelled it. I gave them one last chance, placed another order and so wish I had not.
It arrived in 4 parts, mostly squashed and ruined. One item was incorrect and so far they have done nothing to rectify that. About 20% of my order is apparently out of stock and to date I am still waiting for my refunds, despite being promised by them 3 times that I would be refunded. I should be refunded... Chemist Direct - you can't not send me goods but still keep my money.
Here is the icing on the cake. To top it all I saw on my bank statement today that they have taken a further £81.66 from my card for no reason at all.. just decided to make another debit on my card. Fraudsters. I shall be reporting them. How dare they take money from me like that.
So you most likely won't get your goods or if you do it will take weeks and numerous phone calls and what arrives probably won't be what you ordered anyway. The time and money you spend chasing up your order will surely cancel any gain made from some cheap goods. They then have your card details on file and it seems they will have no hesitation in taking more money from you if they feel like it, without your permission and with no reason... yes, illegally. This is what happened to me. I contacted them and do you know what they did... they hung up on me. Nice company.
They now owe me £105.
A complete disgrace.
Unlike some others on here, I won't be letting them keep my money. I will get it back, all of it. But really, for a few cheap toiletries, who needs this hassle.

Unacceptable selling policies
Goods were said to be in stock. The full amount was taken from my account immediately. Two items were later removed without informing me or any explanation. They never gave me the promised refund. They did not reply to emails and it was impossible to contact them on the phone. Therefore, they retained my money illegally.

Utterly appalling Company
I would urge people to avoid using Chemist Direct.
Dealing with this Company is an absolute nightmare - the very worst online shopping experience I have ever had.
I placed an order on November 3rd and still haven't received all the order. I have called and emailed which just resulted in being fobbed off with excuses and assurances that my order was being dispatched immediately.

Apalling service ordered nearly a week ago
in my experiance no contact and a robot live chat keep being told it will be despatched or it has been packed and ready they customer service spoke ot a supervisor WAT AN INVISIBLE ONE and said it will be despatched yesterday has it no spoke ot them this morning they are chasing it up again i kept teling them all week i need it ASAP but im just getting nonsense no rpely to emails and just absolutely slow with delivery of goods wont use again evn though my flat mate ordered 3 days before me and recieved within three days i live at the same address and they cant deliver a simple order to me

Very poor
Ordered item. Slow delivery. Didn't work properly when it turned up. Slow to respond to emails. Eventually returned item. Had to chase replacement multiple times. Eventually received after about 2-3 months! Then several more emails to get my return postage refunded. Finally got this back after 6 months waiting and lots of emails - just noticed it come through on my Bank account, though - no contact to tell me they'd done it!

TERRIBLE - DONT TOUCH THEM WITH A 10 FOOT BARGE POLE!!!!!
Took 3 weeks for my goods to arrive. They wanted to know the age of the children the paracetamol was for, it took me 5 emails and 5 telephone calls of telling them the same info!!!!!! 3 times I was promised the goods would be despatched the same date, they werent.
I wont be going back.

Useless in every way!!!
Useless , useless. useless!!!! I ordered my product and told it'll be dispatched in the afternoon and the the next day..... etc etc. this went on for several weeks and then I got so fed up waiting I cancelled via e-mail and also rang and cancelled and then surprise surprise the product was left in my porch 4 days later.After several more phone calls it was collected promptly with the promise that I'll be refunded...!!!! I spoke to the manager, Helen Delaney, who didn't ever apologise and is totally useless and did not appear to care how the company came across to the customer!! I am still waiting 2weeks later for my money back ! i also left massages for her superior [so called] Helen scarlet, to ring me back.. and guess what???..I am still waiting !! Don't buy any thing from them no matter how appealing prices may seem if you want to hang on to your sanity and money !!!

Poor service and behaviour to customers.
After being a regular customer of Chemist Direct.co.uk, for nearly a year, and being satisfied with their service; this time when I ordered several items of non-prescription medication on 10/11/09 they cancelled part of the order with a spurious e-mail excuse, after three days of waiting and gave me no option to cancel the order, and automatically dispatched the one item, despite me e-mailing them the same day to cancel the order. I just received a reply stating that that the goods have been dispatched, sorry for any inconvenience!! I also tried to phone them with no success with their hopeless call menu system, and their customer service is pathetic.
They also didn't answer any further e-mails, so I have contacted my credit card company to stop payment, and put the transaction into dispute, after I had returned the order unopened through the post.
The cost of the one remaining item of medication with the excessive postage charge, for a six day wait for delivery is twice what it would cost at any typical chemist/pharmacy; so what is the point of using Chemist Direct now?!
They appear to be a company behaving as if they are in financial trouble, and cannot cope with orders properly, and are in a state of disorganization. I will also be taking further action, reporting them to the pharmacy trade associations, if there are any further problems with their behaviour concerning my cancelled order.
Feel free to try to use them since they appear to be cheap, but treat it as a lottery - you might be successful if lucky, or not get the order that you expected! And charged as well.
This experience seems to be now repeated many times recently, with other customers/reviewers of Chemist Direct.co.uk.
Stay clear of them is my advice!!!!

Thieves, cheats and bullies.
Spent an hour argueing that the item I wanted to return was not medication, and I wanted a refund. They refused, stating it was medication and thats the end of that. Be aware consumers, to check what you order is refundable BEFORE you part with your money.

Ordered £140 worth of stuff 7 days ago. 3 ignored e mails and 2 unhelpful phone calls later still no idea when it will dispatched. Website says order shipped within 24-48 hours. Decided to call in the morning and cancel entire order.

Bloody Disgusting Service
They promised that they will deliver in 3-6 days - day 13 and still havent shipped. When I order all items were marked as in stock. They con you into believing that they are a reputable company when they are not. I am contacting my bank to cancel payment from VISA and citing fraud. Hopefully this will ruin their reputation with the bank and affect their credit rating.
Their customer service is useless, they keep saying "I can only apologies..we will put your order as urgent" or we will ship your items today. When they know this is not true.
Is it possible there is not authority in the UK to close them down ?

awful website- awful customer support - AVOID AT ALL COSTS
My order was not processsed for a week, when I queried this the customer suport rep told me "Oh I will need to check with the warehouse, I don't think they got the email"
When the order was eventually dispatched it was incomplete, no one informed me that I would not receive two items. Shoddy website, shoddy service, I will never use them again.

Pathetic
I have been waiting over 5 weeks for a kettle, supposedly in stock, to arrive. Company online live help promised to assist. Repeated e-mails have not even been answered. I will never use this lot again and would urge others to do the same.

Got the delivery..
after some time.
Living in Denmark where the kind of goods Chemistdirect.co.uk are selling are really espensive I decided to try my luck by placing an ordre.
I mainly ordred racerblades for my Gillette Fusion racer as they were about half price compared to local prices and Clarityn for my hayfever as it is very cheap in UK.
The did deliver to my homeadresse after about 3 weeks and one missing item has never arrived, but they have given me a credit for the missing item. All together an awarage service, but not as bad some of the other local dommestic customers indicate on this page.

Avoid at all costs
I am still awaiting an "in stock" item over two months after it was ordered. Credit Card charged on the day, no response whatsoever to requests to cancel the order. Avoid these people at all costs.

I ordered from them 3 weeks ago. They took the £90 from my bank on the first day. 21 days later : no tracking number , my goods not despatched, their website says the same thing it has for 20 days - being processed. My emails are returned via Robot made-up names repeating the same lines - ''we are sorry & have asked our warehouse team to deal with you at utmost urgency''
I have multiple sclerosis , severe convulsive epilepsy , double hip replacement surgery 8 months ago. My doctor has ordered me to avoid stress.
And that is the worst thing about this lawless & thieving Cowboy Company. They are targeting and stealing from cripples, terminally ill people and people with other serious health problems .
My feelings of total disgust @ CDirect are not typeable.

problems getting goods/refund
i ordered some 15 products from chemistdirect and received most of them on time. however, a few have been missing for about 5 months now and to be honest i'm getting annoyed by having to email them and asking where the missing products are. they keep saying they're not in stock and that they'll make sure the products are dispatched immediately, once they're in stock. well they've not been in stock for several months and in my last email to them (a month ago) i asked for a refund. they apologized and wrote they would give me my money back. i gave them all the details they asked for... and, again, i haven't heard from them for about a month. this is my worst experience with online chemists, i order often and from various chemists but chemistdirect is a joke, i'll never order from them again.

Beware
I ordered some goods from them 6 weeks ago. Again money taken immediately, but no sign of goods. Status always say's Order being processed.
Even more interesting, is that each time I have chased them, I have recieved the same e-mail back WORD FOR WORD just with a different name on the bottom apologising and stating that they will bring it to the attention of the warehouse team. Their phones still go to voicemail, and the live assistant has mysteriously vanished. Mitesh Soma has some great PR spiel "

No item, being charged, deny delivery and return!
You order from them, they don't despatch ... you call them and cancel the order after two weeks of waiting ... they then tell you that the order is cancelled; then two weeks after that they despatch to you and charge you. You call to complain and they advise that they will only refund if you return the unwanted/cancelled items. You do that, and two months go without a refund. You contact them again to enquire about the refund and they say they've not received the items back! Please be warned. Yes, they might be cheaper, but I'm out of pocket for the goods, the postage and the postage for returning the item and I've NOTHING to show for it and their Customer Services just keeps quoting terms and conditions! Bad, bad service - you'd be better paying a little extra and getting your items delivered, on time!
