Poor service and behaviour to customers.
After being a regular customer of Chemist Direct.co.uk, for nearly a year, and being satisfied with their service; this time when I ordered several items of non-prescription medication on 10/11/09 they cancelled part of the order with a spurious e-mail excuse, after three days of waiting and gave me no option to cancel the order, and automatically dispatched the one item, despite me e-mailing them the same day to cancel the order. I just received a reply stating that that the goods have been dispatched, sorry for any inconvenience!! I also tried to phone them with no success with their hopeless call menu system, and their customer service is pathetic.
They also didn't answer any further e-mails, so I have contacted my credit card company to stop payment, and put the transaction into dispute, after I had returned the order unopened through the post.
The cost of the one remaining item of medication with the excessive postage charge, for a six day wait for delivery is twice what it would cost at any typical chemist/pharmacy; so what is the point of using Chemist Direct now?!
They appear to be a company behaving as if they are in financial trouble, and cannot cope with orders properly, and are in a state of disorganization. I will also be taking further action, reporting them to the pharmacy trade associations, if there are any further problems with their behaviour concerning my cancelled order.
Feel free to try to use them since they appear to be cheap, but treat it as a lottery - you might be successful if lucky, or not get the order that you expected! And charged as well.
This experience seems to be now repeated many times recently, with other customers/reviewers of Chemist Direct.co.uk.
Stay clear of them is my advice!!!!
