My first order from here. It took a while to arrive. When my order eventually came the main item I wanted was not there. A note inside said it would follow. Several days later still no sign of it so I sent an email. When the firm responded I was informed the item I had ordered and paid for was out of stock and did I want another item instead. As I needed it and had already waited I ordered it from another supplier which was delivered the next day. A the same time I cancelled my order with Wells and asked for a refund. No response. I then sent a further e mail asking for my money back as several days later I still had no response. Imagine my surprise several more days later when the item appeared left on my doorstep. Inside the box was no invoice or information on how to return the item. All in all a very poor service and I now have an item I don't want which I now need to send back. The bottom line is there are faster, more efficient, customer focused firms out there. I for one will never use this firm again
Ordered at 3 gallon poultry drinker one afternoon in April 2014 - arrived middle of the following afternoon. All in excellent condition and at a price which compared really well with those elsewhere on line.
I purchased Stalosan, egg boxes and few other bits. When I opened the box I was engulffed with a cloud of stalosan the contents of the stalosan were in the box as the lid had not been properly secured or taped The packaging in the box was insufficient due to its weight. The egg boxes were damaged and covered in stalosan. I telephoned the company as soon as I opened the box and took photos of the contents, I was told by a gentleman that these items would be replaced, but I have not received anything and despite sending 2 emails asking for an update both of these have been ignored. I would not be using this company again, which is a shame!
I ordered a chicken house approximately 7 and half weeks ago. At the time I was told that I could expect the product to arrive in approximately 3 weeks. My credit card was charged for the full price of the product and for postage at the time of order (over £550).
Nothing has arrived and the company has been completely unresponsive to emails and the phone line is always busy or unattended.
Don't spend more than you are willing to lose with this company.
I was delighted to order so easily .The service was quick, the product well packed.I plugged in the infra red bulb and it didnt work.When I tried to see how to return it,it seemed it would cost nearly as much as original price, so I havent bothered.
The delivery was quickly provided and the product is of good quality. However, on the first night of use, the bulb sheared off from base overnight and dropped onto the dog. Whilst I do not blame the supplier with what appeared to be a damaged product, when I called them about it, I was met with a "so what" attitude. I was not actually looking for a replacement (and was not offered one) but possibly some empathy with the issue. "I hope the animal below the bulb was okay" or "oh I am sorry to hear about that, THANKYOU for letting us know".
Item was not despatched in 2 weeks as promised so after chasing a few times and just getting completely vague responses about when I may get my order it still never arrived so I cancelled it. Had to chase and chase for refund, was told it was 'on his list of things to do' but another week on and still nothing. On numerous occasions there was no answer on their phone line. Had to raise a dispute on PayPal and contacted Citizens Advice Consumer line for their suggestions in how to best go about trying to get my money back. Eventually Wells answered the phone and as I had involved PayPal they finally refunded me but I can't tell you how much effort I had to go to. Other people have posted similar reviews here and on Google and Facebook so please heed them.
