My parcel was due on 17th April. It is now the 24th and I am still waiting. On two occasions I was given delivery slots but despite remaining in to receive the goods they did not arrive. This company is untrustworthy and I have been told lies about delivery times. I would not knowingly use them again and I advise others not to do so.
My item was due for delivery tomorrow, but I checked 'tracking' on the City Link website and noted that the parcel was being delivered a day early. The delivery window I was given was between 16:11 and 18:11. The parcel was in my hands at 16:11. No wasted time for me or the driver. A fantastic delivery service!!
I've had two bad experiences with this company but let me speak on the most recent one. I had the Tuesday after the bank holiday (22nd April) booked off as I knew I'd have loads of deliveries on this day. With a new baby on the way and a new home to furnish it's only to be expected. I was waiting for three different couriers on this date, Yodel, City Link and Parcelforce. Parcelforce arrived at 8am on the dot & Yodel arrived at 11:30am. I checked online to see when City Link would be arriving & it said estimated delivery time between 12:42 & 14:42 so I thought ok, it's just an estimate but that sounds good as I was totally willing to wait until 17:30 as stated on their online portal. When 18:00 came I decided to call customer service and was informed by the lady that she could see from the drivers scanner that he/she has 36 outstanding deliveries but was in my area and was 13 deliveries away from me & would DEFINITELY be delivering my parcel. At 20:00 I went online & to me shock & horror the online portal said that the driver had 'attempted delivery but got no answer but left calling card'. I can safely say the this driver is a liar. He/she didn't even drive down my road (I live in a cul-de-sac so I would have seen) let alone knock on my door, and the calling card??2 I called &managed to get through to a representative who kindly upgraded my delivery to a Saturday slot meaning I didn't have to take yet another day off work to wait for my order. But my question is, how can the driver get away with this? I can assure you in my job there's no way I could say I'd done something without actually doing it. Fair enough it was the weekend after the bank holiday weekend but it was hardly Christmas. The customer service reps are great, but the drivers are terrible. I think next time I purchase something online I'll request the sender to use every other service (even messenger pigeons) before they use City Link.
I got home and found a card, tried to arrange item to be redelivered to the shop below me but couldn't. I used the contact form and sent the request but thought I'd put a notice on my front door as I would be at work tomorrow when 2nd delivery would be attempted. Before I could even finish the notice I got an email from customer services informing me that it would be delivered as requested. I'm a very happy satisfied customer. Well done.
I Waited in all day and was told my parcel would be with me that day, I called at 17.20 and was told that the guys would be working till 8 so waited until then. ( Easter Thursday) Today (Tuesday) i phoned after waiting in again all day and was told that they tried to deliver on the 17/4/14, lies!!!!!!! they told me that they had tried again on Tuesday but no card,yet more lies! Customer service were horrendous and couldn't be less helpful if they tried. Never ever use Citylink, if they can't deliver a simple parcel what use are they? NONE what so ever!!!
City Link were meant to collect my parcel between 7:00am and 5:30pm on 15/4/14. I took a day off from work, they never turned up or called me. I had to take the parcel in the end to their depot no apology given. I complained on line but because I booked through Parcel2go City Link will not accept any responsibility. Absolute rubbish a really poorly run and managed organisation ....use at your own risk
I was made fully aware of where my parcel was from the minute of ordering. As it was Easter weekend my parcel was predicted to arrive on the Tuesday after the bank holiday. Which it did :-) on the morning I received an email to tell me my time slot was between 9.54-11.54am the parcel arrived at 10.20am, so very pleased with the prompt service! It was nice to be made aware of time slots which the parcel could arrive within, instead of all day delivery estimates.
Most disgusting pack of liars to ever exist. Driver first lies that he's come to my property and left me a card. I had been home all day and would've noticed anyone calling me on my intercom as my intercom is ridiculously loud. Then once I read that they had left me a "card" I went and looked for it, surprisingly enough there was nothing there. I then rung them up (after being on hold for 1 hour and 3 minutes), they picked up and promised to contact the depot and to call me back before 7, so that they could confirm if I could go to depot and pick up my order myself. They lied yet again and didn't call me back, after they had promised me. This service is just horrid and I would recommend you taking any orders that this company will be delivering elsewhere.
Through reading past people's experiences these guys have been identified as thieves, liars and unreliable. For me personally, they've ticked two boxes so far. I'll never let them order my products again and therefore will never even give them the chance to tick the third.
EDIT: I went to pick up my parcel from the depot and now they're claiming that they can't "find it". So in fact maybe all three boxes have been ticked for me. This is straight up ridiculous that a company can get away with such disgusting service.
I buy lots of stuff over the internet, I am getting parcels most days. The only company I ever have problems with is CityLink. I cannot understand why Amazon continue to use them for their premium next day services.
1. City Link Express has only 1 line number and always engaged, nobody pick up your call and can happen for few days although you keep pressing the recall for whole days. 2. If you manage to contact them, the consignment status is a lie, they just simply key without any knowlegde on the item status. 3. Even you give them the consignment number, they will lie to you saying missing 1 number if they screw up the consignment status. 4. They claims flight shipment from China to Singapore takes 4 days! They also claims custome clearnace takes days in SIngapore but I have done many times custom clearance which take maximum to half day only! 5. They will only deliver your shipment 4 days after they had received your shipment at your local office. So it will take 2 weeks to deliver to your after your order. 6. Delivered items will not be in top condition, will have slight wears and tears. 7. Customer service are very rude and even you cpmplained,it is useless because this company culture is linked to their HQ culture. 8. Local post office are faster and cheaper.
Living in a remoter part of Scotland for the best part of 20 years couriers are a way of life. A few years back I had had repeated bad experiences with City Link and vowed not to use them again. I ordered a fragile item on line and on on contacting the supplier for the consignment ref my heart sank when I was told it was City Link. Well, I put my hand up, I was proved wrong!! Excellent service, arrived within the window and outside normal hours, and a very courteous driver to boot!! To quote Arnie "I'll be back"
This was a delivery (from Reading area) ordered on Saturday and promised for Monday. Even so, delivery by 9am was pretty darn fast and almost caught me out - I'd told the sender that I could be out until 10am but this info didn't reach City Link. Very courteous driver, would recommend City Link as a delivery service.
I had a bit of fairly heavy machinery delivered by City Link recently - around 120kg, so not light. The depot forgot to send it out the day they said they would, but a call centre worker got it all sorted out and out for delivery in the afternoon. The driver was incredibly helpful - even helped me unpack and reposition the machine. Top work.
they are the worst ever amazon use them and more fall them they are taunting there name with lies u wait in all day get things from others them they claim no one was in and mess you about happen to me now 2 times and amazon really need to let them go under and good job
