Waited in fir a delivery all day then I decided to go onto Amazon & see what what was happening. Discovered that an attempt was made at 14.10... Funny that I was sat in my front room with my two dogs that bark when anyone comes to the front steps let alone the front door. No knock, no card & no way they even came. Phoned up & was told could get rede livery Monday but told them that's impossible as flying to Austria the next day. I was then told I could go to the depot after 6.30pm & it will be there... I don't have much faith.....
Operating in the 21st Century with 20th Century ideals. If you can't get to my house don't just make up the colour of my door. Stop telling lies customer's don't like it! If all British companies were this badly run the country would be in trouble. Too many under educated, over paid and power hungry local managers I imagine.
Second week running, booked a next day collection and no on turned up!! They will cost you hours of waiting and to top it off, when I made numerous phone calls through out the day making sure they wont forget to pick up....they still did not manage to arrive. Not only that...they blatantly lie and have said the driver made an attempt to collect....Really??? I was in the front room all day....the front door left ajar...and nothing,,,,absolutely no sign of them in any shape or form....There was a note on the door also, letting them know I am home waitng....and a contact number....Just in case the rareness of my ears failing me only on the day of the collection.
Do not trust them. Do not waste your time phoning neither as I had the phone put down on me, due to them not being able to keep their lies from surfacing. Scrupulous Scandalous cowboy merchants!!! AVOID AVOID AVOID!!!!
A company who clearly have a wealth of experience and a nack for selecting the best courier staff. Driver was polite, smart and professional. Absolutely faultless. A simple and accurate online tracking feature was the cherry on the cake. Thank you City Link.
Sames as many people here - spent the whole day waiting (with three phones at hand - all the numbers given to City Link as contact details). No delivery, no message, no calls, no notes - only to read on the tracking site that 'nodbody was at home to receive delivery'. Biggest lie ever!!! Still haven't received my goods.
I bought some items from amazon and although I used the next-day delivery option, I didn't expect to get the package so fast. I placed my order just after 5 in the afternoon and the package was with me by 9 am the next day, delivered by a very nice and polite person (as opposed to my experiences with people from yodel). Very reliable service and I highly recommend this courier to anyone.
Was due a next day delivery 11 days ago but still waiting. Have been assured by City Link a few times it will be delivered tomorrow but like tomorrow it never comes. Absolutely awful service Would not use an online seller in future if I knew they were using City Link
This is the second week in a row that CityLink have failed to deliver my next day delivery parcel. It's Saturday and I've spent the whole day waiting for them not to arrive. As it's now coming up to 7pm, I guess I should assume my package is now not coming until Monday. Thanks for nothing CityLink.
Absolutely most useless delivery company I have ever come across. Should have delivered a parcel in January, claimed that they'd turned up on several occasions according to their 'tracker' but no one on site. Absolute rubbish as site is a business. Parcel returned to supplier. Supplier resent and paid next day deliver. still no sign of it several weeks later. Today I receive an email from a business located in half a mile away from us, bearing no resemblance to our business name, and different postcode to say our parcel was delivered to them in error 10 days ago! We were also expecting another parcel from a different supplier, which City Link again failed to deliver, although claim that their driver had delivered it and had it signed for. But lo and behold when we asked for a copy, they couldn't provide as the driver had left their employment! What more can I add!
Step-by-step through delivery action with full on-line tracking. I really like it. Delivery on time. Very professional driver. He get on time without an address in sat-nav (new estate). Definitely will use CityLink again.
I've been in and out a lot this week and we were waiting for an exhaust for an MOT. The driver called and I wasn't here but he left a phone no so I rang him. Between us we managed to arrange a delivery slot that I would be here and he came into our yard and made sure he could find me. Very pleased with his help and efficiency.
Swearing into his phone throughout the delivery, throwing parcels on the floor despite me holding out my hand and couldn't locate parcel 3 of 3 despite the City Link system later saying all items had been scanned onto the van. I would give zero stars if I could and will think twice about buying from anyone who uses City Link again.
I sent my camera of to only to find out it had been replaced by a oven.. CityLink are awful they mix up your packages and they should never be trusted also the customer service was awful and very unpleasant to use
Citylink www site was damaged, and couldn't track parcel, just said 'Too many parcels relating to this number, enter postcode' Which I did, and still nothing. Contacted Birmingham depot, and Mandy emailed back promptly to let me know that the parcel was on the van, and estimated delivery time. Driver was nice chap, and he also collected my returning parcel, as the sender had sent the wrong product by mistake. Only thing I'd like to add that to say 'Between 07.30 and 17.30' is no longer acceptable as a delivery time, as some companies offer a txt or email to let you know to the nearest hour when the parcel is due to arrive - You may want to look into that? All in all though, happy with your staff involved with contact and delivery. Thanks again.
Sent a parcel from Sheffield to Ross on Wye and paid for next day delivery plus extra insurance. They missed delivery first day (claimed could not find) and then missed second day (claimed out of hours). Phoned on both occasions and even after second miss, would not commit to delivering on day three!!! My customer was not happy, so I ended up driving 300 miles round trip, picking up the parcel from the Gloucester hub and delivering it myself - funny that I found it straight away?! Would not entertain any complaint, as I booked through Parcel Monkey and I was "not the customer" (hah!) and only received a partial refund from PM, who frankly are not much better. So, fifty quid out of pocket, a CityLink that couldn't care less and Parcel Monkey who wouldn't fight my corner............. Firms like this are a disgrace and should not be in business.
Driver couldn't find address, didn't know where he was to receive instructions. Driver eventually located where he was, we drove out to meet him only to find out he had decided to leave. Driver was then abusive and swore over the phone. We ended up not getting the parcel. Royal mail delivered it perfectly the next day.
Stay in all day, only to track my parcel (to ensure that the courier IS actually due) only to reveal that they said they had been and no-one had been home. I had received no knock on the door, no doorbell rung and to top it all off, no card left to say they had been and I hadn't been in. Funny that. I also have a dog who loves to bark at the top his lungs whenever someone even steps near the door, so this is OBVIOUSLY untrue. As a result, I have to drive 30 minutes to the nearest depot to ensure my customers will receive their products for Monday. Unlike some companies, I take pride in my customer service. Shame on you City-Link.
