I guess if your lucky enough to get a good machine this vendor may be ok! Unfortunately, I wasn't one of the lucky ones, and having been shipped two faulty machines over the last 4 months, I am still without a working machine, and am still without a refund from Matteo.
Matteo has no clue with regards to customer service; he's been quite rude on the phone, hung up on me, been unhelpful and unprofessional via email, and refused to give a refund despite shipping two faulty Quickmill Cassiopea machines to me. In addition he's attempted to charge me for the repair of the second faulty machine which is simply ludicrous! I must admit I also have doubts over Quickmill quality control, the first machine turned up heavily scratched and clearly used. It appears that Matteo is doing nothing more than acting as a middleman with the orders being shipped directly from the manufacturer. This perhaps goes a long way to explaining why the customer service is non existent....
I have now put the whole issue in the hands of my credit card company and pursued a 'section 75' legal claim against Coffee Italia. 3 weeks after trying to contact Matteo, and having written to him, the credit card company still haven't heard from Matteo! I think this sums up the whole experience, Coffee Italia are absolute cowboys and I would never purchase anything from them again. There are other companies out there that may charge a bit more, but you have the comfort of knowing that they will help if something goes wrong. Thankfully my credit card company have now agreed to provide me with a refund.
Do business with this vendor at your own peril, undoubtedly the worst retail experience of my life!
The Europiccola is not merely a coffee making machine - it is also a dazzling piece of kitchen sculpture. One small matter which needed attention was dealt with with courtesy and speed. For product and for customer care A++.
Hi there. We wanted to replace our worn out coffee machine that had given us 12 years of good service. We had a shortlist of several but needed some guidance. We contacted Matteo at Coffee Italia and he put us on the right track. We purchased a Gaggia Carreza espresso machine. The price was good, and it was delivered very quickly. The machine was well packaged and throughout the whole purchase there was very good communication. I would recommend this company to anyone who is considering a new machine. Brilliant service.
Bought a Gaggia Baby Class coffee machine. Excellent delivery and price. Six months later the paint on the metal drip tray has started to bubble, indicating that it was not properly applied at manufacture. Coffeeitalia absolutely not interested. Keep saying it is damage caused by not observing operating instructions. I contacted Gaggia direct (Phillips) and am being sent a new drip tray under the warranty. Keep away from CoffeeItalia. Amazingly, 20 minutes after posting this review, I received an email from Coffeeitalia. This time it was a polite email and indicated that they had now checked with Gaggia and the drip tray (which they described as an aesthetic part of the machine) was indeed covered by the warranty and so I am 'legitimate' to get the part exchanged. My review stands, excellent for price and delivery, poor at after-sales service unless you give them a bad review.
Just had a fab experience when getting a brand new coffee machine. So many coffee machines about so when my very old coffeey machine finally needed replacing i didn't know where to go. Found coffeeitalia on line. i ordered on thursday and machine was with me monday. Coffeeitalia were also great when i asked pre purchase questions - they knew their stuff. The machine arrived in strong packaging and the machine was immaculately packaged and was up and running in ten minutes. The first coffee was the best i'd ever had. I was so happy - even my work mates noticed the difference. amazing what a good coffee machine and customer service can do x
I had some reservations about making such a large purchase online and I wrote an email to coffeeItalia regarding my concerns and I received a prompt reply reassuring me all would be well which made the purchase more comfortable. I made my order on a Monday and it was ready for collection on the Thursday which I did, if I didn't want to collect it it would have arrived Friday (I was very impatient haha) It was packed extremely well double boxed and Loads of Styrofoam. I set up the machine and all seemed well, I was confused with one aspect on the site there was a video of the machine I bought (Quickmill Anita) and it had a OPV operating pressure valve which on the machine I received did not have. I called Matteo and I received a call back the next business day explaining that that was an american model and that the machine I received was a European model. This was a slight surprise but it did not bother me as I could adjust the pressure another way (less accessible but fine) and it had an extra feature I did not expect anti-burn steam wand and hot water wand so all in all I was happy and the prompt reply made me relax. I've had the machine for 3-4 weeks now and I am very happy with my purchase. I had to adjust the brew pressure from 10bar to 9bar but apart from that which wasn't a big deal everything was perfect. I would gladly recommend this service!
I have placed an order first time and even there is christmas time and I can imagine they are in hury to satisfy evryone, customer support has been perfect and reaction to my questions quick. I can reccomend this on line shop to anyone.
I ordered a Rancilio Rocky coffee grinder from these guys. Was despatched the next morning, couriered from outside Milan to arrive in Edinburgh in 5 days. Extremely well packed, double boxed with loads of polystyrene chips in between. Despite this, somehow, the box must have taken a knock in transit as one of the switches had popped out of its housing. Machine didn't work when switched on. I went on their website at 10pm to get their email address but they had someone doing online chat customer service. She told me to send an email. Matteo got back to me 2 days later and talked me through taking the bottom off the machine - a connector had come off the back of the switch when it popped out of the housing. All sorted and now a happy camper with much better coffee. Overall I think the problem with the machine was clearly not their fault, and they couldn't have done better at sorting it out.
Our old Baby Gaggia broke down after 7 years of excellent coffee, So we decided to invest a better model. Delivery was prompt if not too prompt that I missed it. Notified immediately by CoffeeItalia and arranged next day delivery. Arrived as expected in good order. A small problem that the manual was not in English, and the wrong model but not a big issue. Emailed CoffeeItalia after 20 minutes of receiving the product and an electronic copy of the manual turned up 2 minutes later. Machine is working perfectly (as expected) and a joy to deal with a company with with an emphasis on great service.
Very happy with my quickmill anita and nemox grinder combo. Shipped to Kalgoorlie western Australia in a superfast 8 days by the FedEx cleared customs no problem. Pulling amazing shots at home and my wife could not be happier about her birthday present! Matteo and I Marco are running a great business. Cheers guys
I had some trouble ordering, basically because my bank was fearful of fraud, and Marco and Matteo were just great in supporting where needed through that part of the process. The Silvia, Rocky SD and barista kit all arrived on time as promised. The packaging was perfect and the kit had clearly come straight from the factory, it was still completely sealed in a protective film to safeguard the stainless steel. Now set up and working - over to me now to protect my barista skills! Thank you guys! A definite recommend ..... 5 stars!
Had a bad experience with my Gaggia ice cream machine. But Coffeeitalia changed that into a positive experience - got a new machine for a small fee - it's what I call good service. Matteo quickly responded to my emails - thank you.
My brother and I have purchased 2 machines from CoffeeItalia now. Both were dramatically cheaper than any rival and arrived within just a couple of days of placing the order.
The first machine developed a fault. CoffeeItalia had it shipped back, repaired and returned within a week. No cost. Impeccable service. I could not recommend more highly. And my brother just bought another machine off them!
Ordered a Bezzera espresso coffee machine on Wednesday and got an E-mail telling me it was not in stock but offered the next model up for the same price. The machine arrived the Monday all the way from Italy! Most impressed not only with the machine but also the prompt service and delivery.
Take advantage of the low prices and speedy delivery to Australia. Unfortunately I have spent the last 2 months trying to have repairs under warranty. Initially, Coffeeitalia said they had spoken to the German manufacturer engineer and there was nothing wrong; although a search of the internet showed that it was "common problem" on enough machines for the manufacturer to repair without question. I contacted the manufacturer direct and they confirmed it needed repairs. I forwarded this to Coffeeitalia who, after many emails, eventually gave me a contact for the warranty repairs - the same as the German manufacturer. Now they will not complete repairs because they are not distributor to Coffeeitalia and Coffeeitalia has not made contact with them. Around we go again. Enjoy the price, but realise that you will never see a warranty honoured. They seem to provide short, 2 line emails that never provide information. I have received only the one email from Matteo, the remainder of the correspondence is never with a salutation, and it was far from helpful.
After over a year of research and going back and forth trying to decide on the best ice-cream machine with a cooling compressor I finally bought the Nemox Gelato Pro 2000 from Coffeeitalia. Thanks to the wonderful expert service and advice from Marco from Coffee Italia all my questions were answered. Originally I was going to buy the Lello Musso Polo 5030 but after my discussion with Marco I decided on the Nemox as I was informed that the machine had a more powerful cooling system compressor and was far stronger, durable, efficient and far less recalls than the Lello. Also Nemox was a trusted brand which has been around much longer.
The machine is incredibly quiet and the final result is smooth gelato just like you would expect from a gelataria. No ice crystals like I had previously with my pre-freeze unit Magimix. The Nemox Gelato Pro 2000 is solid stainless steel with a stainless steel blade. It does not have a removable bowl but is still very easy to clean. I would highly recommend this machine and it is truly worth every cent.

My quest to find a quality espresso machine for my home ended after speaking to Matteo at Coffee Italia. He rang me after I left a message on the Coffee Italia answering machine, which I got from their web page. He had answers to all my questions, so I decided on purchasing an Andreja Premium. After placing my order on-line, I received confirmation (via email from Matteo) the next working day that the machine was being shipped immediately from Italy to Perth Australia via FedEx. I received a follow up email from Coffee Italia soon after that with a FedEx tracking number. From that time on I tracked the machine until it was delivered on the very day FedEx had estimated it would. It arrived in perfect condition and I couldn't be happier with the product and the service. Well done Coffee Italia and thanks Matteo.
I bought a Elektra micro casa a lever coffee machine- good price, good delivery time, got tracking number via email where I knew the arrival time from the outset., machine arrived in perfect condition and makes awesome coffee , I would highly recommend coffee italia, thanks guys. mark fairweather.
Order not sent within 24hrs as web site states; received erroneous tracking number following morning when I enquired, then later again correct tracking numbers, which showed that items were processed only that afternoon (>48 hrs). I wonder how much longer it would have taken had I not asked. Company used Fedex, which is good - there are plenty of complaints that involve their use of UPS it seems. Coffee machine was OK but noticed that the pump ran dry when the reservoir was empty. There should have been a circuit breaker to prevent this from happening but it looks like this does not work. The grinder has a slight dent to the side. When I enquired about this, I received the following answer: "the grinder is handmade by artisans, it's normal that sometimes there are little cosmetic imperfections". I now wonder whether these are reject/B-graded machines. I expect a more in terms of speed, customer service, and quality when I spend a large (4-digit) amount of money on a purchase like this, hence I would not recommend using this company until they have sorted out themselves.
