[REPLY]
I have had my espresso machine for over 20 years but the time had come to replace it.
Last year I bought one esspresso machine each for my two daughters so this year it was my turn. I got all three from coffeeitalia. The purchase of the first two machines was a leap of faith but because everything went smoothly then, I ordered my own espresso machine from coffeeitalia too. It only took a week before I was sitting in my own kitchen over a lovely latte. Great service.
I recommend the shop. I bought there Rancilio Silvia which after short period broke. Without problems warranty repair was reimbursed by shop.
I am vey happy with my purchase and Marco was excellent to deal with, thank you, regards Xavier..
We bought a La Pavoni Professional, I called their London phone number to check if in stock, paid by Paypal then waited 2 weeks for machine having expected about 2 days. Countless calls never returned or answered. Machine arrived with cracked glass tube, so fed up by this stage I wanted a refund not a replacement as I had now found out that the company was actually based in Italy and I was concerned for future servicing or if we would need to wait another month and risk further problems. They agreed to return and refund and were polite at this point. However it took ages for them to acknowledge receipt of the machine and actually make the refund through Paypal. I paid for the machine on 30/01/12 and the refund came 12/03/12, after many emails chasing them, during which time my husband was convinced we'd never get our money back. I do not believe they are dishonest, apart from the impression that they are UK based, but their customer service and response time is extremely poor. They need to manage people's expectations of timings far better. I would not recommend them and would be concerned about their ability for afterservice.
I only wish I could give a minus rating. I bought a coffee machine off them a month ago only to find that it was faulty. Their website says all the right things about returns and customer service etc but in reality they are difficult to contact and impossible to deal with.
When I did manage to contact them I did everything as instructed even down to providing them with a video of the problem with the machine (all within days of it being delivered). A video that clearly shows that the machine doesnt add any coffee into the coffee making part of it and therefore isnt very good as a coffee machine.
My final conversation with them went as follows "It would not be worth sending you a replacement as it is obvious that the machine works perfectly well and the problem is that you do not know how to use it"
I do not rate them for customer service at all.
Great Jura Impressa J9 TFT machine at what appeared to be a good price. Website looks like the goods are shipped from the UK but they are shipped from Italy. Eventually got an invoice from a Spanish company, so as it was a business purchase, we couldn’t claim the vat. So it worked out a little more expensive than buying from John Lewis or similar.
On the plus side, there was an offer to get a Jura cup warmer FOC, which is a good product.
astonishingly good prices for excellent coffee kit - isomac grinder & machine have been used daily since they arrived without 'hiccup'.
Marco always gets back to you eventually. They should offer an installation service.
Ordered machine based on great value offered. Arrived on time in perfect condition. 12 months on works like a charm and delivers great coffee everytime. Makes great foam and is a better, more compact, machine than the syncrony digital I had previously. Many thanks for such an easy transaction. Ciao
I ordered a Rancilio Silvia & Grinder package at a very good price and £5 for "Within 5 days delivery". On top of this you are charged an extra £5 (that was never mentioned until checkout) for heavy duty packaging? It would be nice to be offered the opportunity to purchase it with weak sub-standard packaging, but the option wasn't there.
One week later and I had received no updates from either coffeeitalia or UPS who were supposedly delivering it. I sent e-mails to every address on the site and eventually received the machine one week later than expected. I was given 1kg of coffee as compensation for the delay but an update would have been appreciated.
I may have just been unlucky and this may be a great company. But, to me, customer service is more than just selling good products at a cheap price.
After some obstacles with not getting a tracking number and no response to my calls (messages I left) and emails I eventually managed to get to them, but then there already was a delay of about 2 weeks since I had placed the order. All the problems eventually were solved and now we are absolutely happy with our Saeco Odea Go and enjoying each and every single mug - it's just great!
We had a problem with our Jura machine and they arranged for collection, inspected it and sent a replacement which works perfectly. So they are a good company to deal with and serious about customer care.
Great service, I received the refurbed grinder on Monday and was able to track with Ups. Its working great, can't fault it one bit. It has transformed my coffee experience and thats with a cheap toy espresso machine. So no doubt I'll be back here looking for a bargain when upgrading the machine also.
Excellent packaging that protected the produce in transit. My Gaggia did go wrong, developing a fault in the pump and had to be sent to the manufactures. However the service was fine and has been working for over a year without any problems. I would order from you again. I found that Coffeeitalia had the best prices anywhere and good customer service. Thanks
Had a lot of issues with the company, in fact i am still waiting for my free Gaggia cups and my coffee, Mario did not respond to my emails, I ended up going to Philips to get my problems sorted out.
i just wrote a huge review about how good this company are and then it deleted its self, so this is the shortened version everything was perfect
and the cash on delivery service worked a treat
brill company
from matt in north devon
Like the products and communication was fine. Thank you!
I bought a coffee machine from CoffeeItalia a couple of years ago and their service in delivering this was very good.
However, when I thought I had a problem with the machine they were not at all helpful in assisting me to get it sorted out. It turned out (following up from other sources) that the problem was probably with the way I was trying to use the machine - but CoffeeItalia essentially left me to 'fend for myself' once I had bought the product.
I ordered a Gaggia icecream which was faulty on arrival. Customer support is non-existent. All they did was ask me to contact Philips under guarantee, whereas I wanted them to take direct responsibility as the merchant, as they must under UK law. All I got was a repeat instruction to follow up the guarantee. I have raised the matter with trading standards.
Impossible to speak to anyone, all you get is one line email in poor English. Also, credit card payment was taken in Euros, so incurred currency charges.
I ordered and received a Rancilio Silvia. It arrived with a two pin European plug. Their website says "The machine sold in the Uk will be supplied with a UK power cable. The machine sold in the EU will be supplied with EU plug". I emailed to complain and received the reply "Check into the big brown box you will find the power adaptor".
So it would seem they don't supply machines to the UK with a UK power cable if they need to include a power adapter (which they don't or perhaps they had forgotten to include mine).
After having read other peoples reviews i think i need to check my bank statement.
To date my experience with this company has not been good. Purchased a Gaggia ice cream machine via their online shop - only at checkout point does it become clear that they are making an extra charge for using any sort of card including debit card. How else would I be purchasing online?
Had this charge been included in the price of the product then it would not have been so obvious but then this would have made the headline price nearer to other suppliers
Having ordered over a week ago the machine still has not arrived. I telephoned the company only to be told to check the tracking number. No customer service and no offer to ring me back. Having got in touch with UPS finally I found out that the machine was never in the country and has had to be ordered from Italy - again something which should be made entirely clear at point of purchase or via the company
The machine still has not arrived and there is no customer service
Very unimpressed. I still await to see whether it works correctly. Certainly will not be purchasing from them again
Coffee Italia do have the cheapest machines but you should know - they are NOT based in the UK even though they have a UK based website which may cause problems if the machine develops a fault.
They advertise that P+P to Europe as free it is NOT - once order goes through they added £10.80 shipping on the bill, £12.48 credit card transaction fee.
An unexplained £20 was also taken from my credit card on top of the invoice price so in all I paid £43.28 on top of advertised price.
My experience with Coffeeitalia was not good. I bought a Gaggia Baby dose which arrived in 2 days. I was very excited only to discover upon opening the package that the pannarello was missing a part and couldn't be fitted.
Called them staight away and was told they would send me out a new one. This didn't arrive for another 2 days. Not happy!
Even though they sent me a free bag of coffee I was disappointed they did not check the pannarello before they sent it out. In this day and age I would have expected better service!

After lots of research their price was the best for a Gaggia baby class which was our machine of choice.
After several days of wondering where our machine was and not hearing from UPS with a tracking number I emailed them, got a reply 2 days later saying that they were on hols and the machine will be sent out early the next week.
Again nothing heard and after a few days so rang and left several messages and no one called back and when I did get an answer, they hung up on me as they were not prepared to explain why there was no sign of our machine. We finally got it almost 3 weeks after we ordered it with no apology.
It came direct from Italy which they should of told us and apart from that they also overcharged us by £8, we have asked why and we are still waiting.
Apart from that we love the Gaggia,
Use them with caution
I read the reviews on this site and decided to have a go. I bought a Rancilio Silvia and it has been the best espresso machine I have ever owned. It steams the milk really well and makes great coffee.
I was going to but a Gaggia Baby Twin but Marco at Coffeeitalia said they had a special price on th Rancilio Silvia and that this was a much better machine. I am so glad I took his advice because the machine really does make great coffee but my wife will not use it. I have to make all the coffees now.
There was Coffeeitalia coffee beans in the special deal too which we have nearly finished and we will buy some more.
My wife also loves Coffeeitalia because she gets her coffee made for her now every morning.
I bought an Elektra lever machine from this company in May and I must say they offered excellent after sale support. When the machine arrived it would not heat up and I naturally thought I had a dud. I telephoned them and they told me how to reset the circuit switcch and hey presto, the machine worked fine.
That would have been fine in itself, but the next day I got an email from them apologising for not following up sooner (it was only 17 hours since I called!) with a link to a video on YouTube on how to reset this switch.
So my experience has been most pleasant and I saved myself a bit of money too.
I ordered an expensive Isomac espresso machine from this company with some trepidation , having read some of the adverse comments on the web.
There was a delay in delivery of about a week, but the company replied quickly to my e-mails and sent me a tracking no' for UPS.
I now have a stunning machine at a very good price.
It had been double boxed as promised, and I am very happy with my purchase.
I would like to recommend Coffee Italia. I ordered a Gaggia Classic from them. They provided me with useful advice, and the machine arrived promptly and in good condition. We have been using our new machine every day!
I ordered a Gaggia Gelatiera ice cream maker from Coffee Italia.co.uk.
It was delivered on time, but once i turned it on the paddle would not turn. I have e-mailed them 6 times and phone 2 or 3 times a day and still have not had any contact from them. We are now six days after delivery and still no contact to sort this problem out.

Placed an order for a Rancilio Silvia. Machine arrived on time. Customer service was helpful.
I recently ordered a Savinelli espresso machine as a gift for my parents. We received the machine within 4 days of placing the order. Customer service was very helpful and addressed all my questions and concerns politely. The machine itself was lovely and my parents really enjoy it! I would definitely recommend this company to others!
Bought a Rancilio sylvia coffe machine new. It broke down - well, it happens. They charged me £35 shipping for a warranty repair or replacement - and replaced it with a second hand machine! After 4 months. Outrageous. Still no communications - avoid them.
It is Now 13 July 2010 - My replacement machine just arrived. So it took three months to replace the defective machine they sent me. I have expended most of the first year of the warranty without a machine for the majority of that time because this company is tardy, behaves irresponsibly and does not seem to understand that communication is key.
In fairness to them they have sent a replacement machine. Is everything OK? - well, relieved I didn't have to drive to Italy to deal face to face and fetch a new machine, still irked that they gave such poor customer service. Realistically I had a manufacturers warranty and instead of making the process as easy as possible, they made it arduous, unpleasant and long.
Their t&c is incorrect - distance buying regulations state the applicable law is the area of the consumer (different if you are a business) but they say it is Italian law. Their web site has a UK address and a UK phone number - were it apparent that they trade from Italy I would not have bought from them.
Overall, they have a way to go to achieve even an acceptable standard of service.
Coffee machine arrived this morning excellent machine many thanks for your prompt service.
