Slowest service ever. Little regard for customers, painful!

Used them twice and twice had to wait for two weeks to receive my order when they stated that the package would be shipped within 2-3 days. Not so slow to take the payment though. Pain in the bottom with endless email circulars.

Third time I order

Just ordered for the third time in two years... and yes - it takes time before they arrive, and sometimes they come in more than one package... but they arrive. The price is more than fair.

2 weeks later and no lenses..........and no help from customer service.

12 days after ordering my lenses they have not been shipped. After receiving several generic emails stating that my order will be processed soon and shipped within a couple of days I decided to try the customer service number. This initially rang through to voicemail but after trying several times I got to speak to a real person. This person had to allegedly check via email with their warehouse (apparently they cannot call or put me through to the warehouse) as they were not able to track my order. The response that I received was that they will be shipped in a few days......which is what the original email told me nearly 2 weeks ago.

I doubt I will see this order. I am almost certain that I won't see a refund either. I genuinely believe this business is a sham.

A very satisfied first-time customer

After ordering my contact lenses as a first time customer, I came across some very negative reviews of "contactforlenses" and started to worry about my order, as the delivery took slightly longer than specified on the website. However I did get my lenses delivered within 2 weeks of ordering. Their prices are very competitive also for shipping abroad, which is a plus-point for me as I live in Cyprus. My experience has been very positive and I would not hesitate to re-order and to recommend them.

Either a Shambles or a Scam- avoid these jokers at all costs

I ordered contact lenses from Contactforlenses.com, based on Guernsey, on 2nd January and the company took my money from my account that day. Unfortunately that was the only part of my order they have bothered with! They don't bother properly answering your email enquiries, instead they repeatedly send emails saying they are currently processing my order and should ship out in the next day. For Christ sake how long does it take to put lenses in a bag and post them, or if there's a delay explain that to customers. I can only think that the happy reviews below were completed by the proprieter! I have demanded a refund today and guess what, my account will be credited within 2 to 3 working days! We will see but not holding my breath! Trust me, pay a little more and forget this bunch of wasters. I have sent details of my case to Guernsey Trading Standards.

Poor communication, very very slow

I placed an order on 7th December, I'm still waiting for my lenses nearly 7 weeks later. This is simply not good enough, if you haven't placed an order with them yet I would strongly recommend not doing so.

I have been using contactforlenses for years and have always been impressed. Usually, they stock the lenses I'm looking for and the prices are always the best around.

I always find ordering my contact lenses online with contactforlenses is such simple, efficient and fast process. I usually leave it till I'm down to my last few lenses before I order and as they deliver so quickly, it works perfectly for me.

Contact for lenses offer a first class service, which is backed up by a large product range and speedy delivery. I ordered my lenses Monday afternoon, got an email 15 minutes later telling me that my order has been dispatched and received my lenses Thursday morning at 8:30! Nice packaging too. Extremely pleased, would definitely order again.

Do not touch this company with a barge pole !

Ive had a recent close escape with this company & I want to share it with you.
Hopefully you are reading this before you have parted with your cash & possibly even your ID !
Firstly I paid for the glasses I wanted, within 24 hrs I received an email asking for photo ID to allow the purchase to be processed !
I emailed back & asked why its relevant to have photo ID as they have nothing to verify my photo against & clearly didnt sent any.
I started to smell a rat.
I received an email back stating that they would process my order without ID in this instance.
Something was clearly wrong.
Unfortunately I didnt research them properly before I paid them.
My husband found Trustpilot & showed me horror after horror of dealings with this company.
One email he found showed a step by step guide to how a chap had got his money back. I jumped straight to it.
The only good thing I can say about this company is I did get my money back, quickly in fairness, however my email was very clear (thus the 1 star).
If my experience & others ive read about demonstrate this company's way of working then this is the bad side of buying online.
Life is too short to work with organisations like this, pay a little more & receive what you want with little fuss.

Contact for lenses steal your money!

Ordered lenses from Contact for lenses in the beginning of March this year. They never arrived. After 1 month I recieved a shipping confirmation. Still no lenses. I have mailed them twice, they do not respond. I want to cancel the order and get my money back but I guess they are lost.

If you want lenses quick, or within 2 weeks go elsewhere

The company didn't respond to e mails, their site implies lenses are despatched within 3-4 days, after 5 I contacted them, their reply stated that they were being 'processed' and I would receive an email on despatch. I asked when this might be, they ignored my e mails. A week after ordering I received 'Thank you for your email. Your order is currently being processed and should ship out later this week or early next week. You will receive an email when your order is shipped.'

So I cancelled it, and am still waiting for a refund........

NOT RECOMMENDED...AT ALL!

I have recently had dealings with this company. I have found that they have various websites:

I ordered lenses from the site contactforlenses.com however did not receive dispatch notification. I emailed them and they told me that the lenses were on back order and that they would email me when the lenses were available. What good was that to me, when you need lenses you need them almost right away. I cancelled the order and received an email that the lenses would be dispatched shortly, however I had already bought again from my regular supplier, so emailed back to tell them to cancel.

A few days later and a few emails to them later I eventually got the cancellation email and was told that the refund would be in my account within 2-3 working days. Well it didn't arrive so I called them, some guy with an Asian accent answered and told me that the money would be in my account within 2-3 working days, I argued that I had already been told that 4 days ago but the money wasn't in my account. He just reiterated that it would be in my account shortly. I asked them for their company registration number in Jersey however he told me that he was not allowed to give that information to me. ???### I told him that is what a company registration number was for, so that people could check out businesses however, he was adamant that I would not get the number. This made me more suspicious, so did a little research and found the company operating from a defunct PO Box, noticed that they have 10 websites selling lenses, glasses and sun glasses, I also noticed that they go use various pseudonyms. Names I have come up with in this organisation are: Andrew Miller, Sarah, Kelvin Carter, Arun, Himanshu and Sunil.

Each one of their domain names have been registered by proxy by Go Daddy, which means the real registrants name is hidden. They use a server for all of their sites mentioned above, hosted by oriensoft.com based in India.

I emailed contactforlenses.com again with all of my findings and copied them in on an email that I sent to their webhost: samir@oriensoft.com and another that I sent to Jersey trading Standards tradingstandards@gov.je. Two hours after I sent those emails, I received an email from "Sarah" from contactforlenses.com notifying me that they had made the refund.

Success, I received the refund today, 1 month after I initially give them my money, however I am convinced that I would not have received anything back from them If I had not aggressively pursued them in the manner I did.

I would advise strongly about paying money to any of the websites named above, and in future just beware who you buy from on the internet. First make sure they have an address and not a PO Box number, you can check the address on Google to see what telephone numbers are attached to it. Make sure the have a Geographical number, not 08, 03 or mobile numbers. go and check the domain on domaintools.com, if it comes up that there is no registrant details, don't buy from it. Lastly call the number on the website before you make a purchase to ensure there is a real person behind the business, if there is no phone number available then you don't want to be dealing with them.

NO Doubt the people behind the sites mentioned above will continue registering domains and putting up websites, therefore Don't get caught out by them again, Check before you buy.

Slow, half my order missing, and no reply to emails...

I ordered on the 19th December 2011 expecting their 3-5 day promise to mean I had them for Christmas. I didn't recieve anything until around the 10th January 2012. They packed each box of lenses into a seperate envelope (what a waste of packing!), and even though I ordered 2 boxes of each lens (different prescription in each eye) I only got 1 box for my left eye.

I emailed them on the 20th January and got a generic "Thank you for your email. The remainder of your order has been dispatched in a seperate package and will be with you shortly" reply.

Then in February when it still didn't arrive I got the "Thank you for your e-mail. We are trying to track out your parcel and the same will be delivered to you soon. Kindly wait for a week during which the package will definitely be delivered to you. We apologise for the delay in receipt of your package." reply...

And now in March they are no longer replying to emails (I guess its because I am now out of the 90 day chargeback period). If you have ordered and not recieve DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY, DO A CHARGEBACK IMMEDIATELY else they WILL SCAM YOU!

Avoid - scam site

This is a scam site. It's under investigation by Jersey Trading Standards for fraudulent trade activity. The address on the site is a defunct Guernsey PO Box, the guy who calls himself 'Andrew' is a fraud and a cheat and also uses the name 'Sarah'. Do not buy from this site.

Nothing delivered, no explanation

Do you enjoy paying something and then receiving nothing? Didn't think so; in which case don't use this company! I recently ordered my regular contact lenses online from this company having ordered from them before. In the past when I placed an order, I received several emails confirming the order and shipping, but on this occasion I received nothing at all. Unsure as to whether or not my order had gone through, I checked my credit card. Sure enough, they had charged me. Instead of writing the order number down I took a screenshot (a good move considering I am now having to take action against them through my credit card company). I then sent them an email with a copy of the screenshot. I received my first and only response from them about my order. They sent an email back saying that my order would be shipped in 1-2 days. I then waited for the delivery to arrive. Nothing! So I sent them an email saying that I had not received anything. This time I received no reply from them. I then sent another email saying that if I did not receive a reply or the lenses, I would proceed with action through my credit card company. Once again nothing! Currently, I am in the annoying process of going through my credit card company to try and get my money back. So if you actually want to get your lenses, it would be best to go through another company. There are plenty of other companies selling lenses online. You don't need to pay the expensive high street prices, but then again you don't need to be completely had either.

Poor communication

Ordered lenses on 13 Aug with 2-3 day UK delivery. Still waiting on 24 Aug. Called a premium number twice and left message no response. Emailed twice and finally a message saying that they could not give delivery date. The order tracking on the website does not work. Will order elsewhere and seek refund if non delivery by weekend.

Poor communication

I ordered some lenses from them on 22 May and when I heard nothing from them by 27 May, I emailed for an update on the order. They came back with a weak excuse of "our supplier made a mistake and some of the shipments were mistakenly routed and hence there is a delay in your shipment. Your order should ship out in the next couple of days".

My lenses were still not received by 2nd June and no update forthcoming from Contactforlenses.com as to where my order was. I emailed asking for an update or a refund and finally got a response 48 hours later. They have promised me a refund within 2 days.

They were quick enough to take the payment, so let's see if they manage a refund as swiftly.

Not recommended due to severe lack of communication and a non-functioning website order tracking system.

Worst Delivery and Customer service EVER.

I have ordered from contactsforlenses.com 6 times now. EVERY time apart from once my contacts have been delivered late....

They say delivery is usually around 4-6 days.... LOL... expect 4-6 weeks ! And thats no joke.... it honestly takes them that long, you would think they are delivering on a donkey and cart...

By far the worst customer service ever experienced

Contactforlenses.com was very happy to debit the money from my account, but apparently unhappy about sending the purchase to me. As well they seem to ignore my calls and e-mails with the instruction of cancelling and refunding the paid amount. Incompetent from A to Z. Don't buy there!!

Very bad service - never recieved lenses

I ordered 30 lenses, and just 4 days later the money were transfered from my VISA-account. However, after 2 months and 6 emails I never received them. As they very rarely answered my emails, I had to contact my bank in order to let them refund my payment. Therefore: NEVER BUY ANYTHING from contactforlenses.com.
