We ordered a tumble dryer from Co-op Electrical Shop which was delivered on time but it was the wrong model - a lower spec than we had ordered. My wife was asked to sign a delivery docket stating that the machine wasn't damaged which she did. On my return home I discovered the wrong machine had been delivered, prior to me returning home an electrician I'd instructed and paid £75 to had installed the machine, the same electrician had disconnected my old machine in the morning ready for removal by the Co-op delivery drivers. I reported the error to the Co-op and they offered to exchange the machine for the correct model but denied liability for the extra installation costs i'd incur to put their mistake right claiming that we were to blame for the mistake as we had failed to check they were delivering the right item. I am very disappointed with the service and upset that I have had to spend a further £75 to right their mistake. I would not recommend Co-operative Electrical Shop to anyone.
Ordered a washing machine, took them up on the £20 to install, £10 to remove the old unit. I would have paid more than that just to carry the new one up and the old one down the stairs! Absolute bargain.
They arrived a little early, but it was saturday and friday had dumped a load of snow, i thought they would be late but apparently there were a few cancellations.
The guys were brilliant, very friendly, i was having some trouble with my worktop preventing installations. They came up with a brilliant workaround, installed it, tested it and left. Must have been over in 40 minutes
Also i got a great deal on the machine itself, then found a discount code online for £30 to offset the installation and removal. Really couldn't be happier with the service
Item was delivered the next day and the guys delivering, installing, and removing were fantastic. Rapid delivery, exactly when they said it would be here. The salesman on the phone was very good as well. (Incidentally, If you want to make a purchase, they answer the phone very quickly. I you want to ask about your order or anything else, be prepared to be on hold anywhere from 10 minutes to 10 days)
The website. My God, that website is awful.I tried ordering online but every time I tried to checkout it either crashed or said there was a problem with my card details. Eventually I had to phone up and make the order with a different card.
When I checked the balance of my account that had been turned down by the website, the cost of the washing machine had been deducted from my account. TWICE. As well as from the successful order by phone on the other account.
Calls to my bank confirmed that the payment had left, calls to Co-Op (when I *eventually* got through) ranged from them denying every having received the payments (despite having been given the authorization code by my bank!) to being told that it will be refunded in a day or two. Well, it's 7 days later and I have had to open a card dispute with my bank. Co-op still deny having my money, but 800 pounds have disappeared out of my account (and are not in any form of holding account according to my bank; they HAVE been paid to Co-op!) and I want them back.
I ordered a large fridge online. It was in stock with a very quick delivery time. I also requested my old appliance was removed. The day before as promised I received a time slot for delivery of my new item. The item was delivered and my old appliance removed. They did exactly what they said they would do and I am very pleased with the service I received from the Coopelectricalshop. Thanks.
I ordered a Miele upright vacuum cleaner (best price was also Coopelectricalshop). I received an email straight away confirming my order had been received, however it also stated that this did not confirm my order was accepted. Not long after (15 minutes at most) I received another email confirming acceptance of my order and that it would be delivered on the date and time slot I had requested. I assume that the coop make sure they have the items in stock before confirming the order, which is great. The vacuum cleaner was delivered on the day and time slot I requested. The coop did not take payment until after I had received the item and my seven day period of accepting or returning my order was up. I think personally this is terrific service, no hassle, no worries and would certainly recommend anyone to buy from them with confidence. Well done, coop!! Oh, and after having a Miele washing machine for the last 12 years which has been great, so far the Miele vacuum cleaner has lived up to my expectations. I was a little concerned after having a bagless vacuum that the bags (which are not cheap) would end up being a very expensive addition, however, I vacuum everyday and I am still using my first bag after 12 weeks, so I am not concerned anymore that they are going to cost me a fortune. The bags also keep the vacuum very clean. You also get a new filter with the bags, all in all so far another good product from Miele.
Love this company for their quick free delivery and reasonable prices. We ordered from them TV before, last time we forgot them, ordered fridge and washing machine from appliancesdirect.co.uk and waited and waited for delivery that postponed and postponed for they had actually no stock. In desperation and disillusion we cancelled and ordered from coop, they both came within two days. What a saviour!

Friendly staff from customer services to delivery guys unpacked and took packaging away.
Better than comet and curry's etc as they dump it and leave you to unpack your self and don't take packaging away.
Would defo use them again although a little more expensive but great service.
Beware. I would not shop here again and would not recommend. They charged my credit card and cancelled the order without telling me. We know if a company is good when things go wrong. It is very easy to be good when things go well and this company is not up to standard. Well, to be brief, i ordered a washing machine on 26th march 2012 and paid with my credit card, but one that is issued abroad. My mother wanted to give us a gift for our new house. The delivery was arranged for the 3rd April so a couple of days after the move. On the day they were supposed to deliver, i thought it was odd that i had not received confirmation of the delivery slot so i rang them only to find out that the order had been cancelled and nobody told me. The chap on the payments dept said the order had been cancelled and i was free to shop around for another washing machine. They cancelled my order because they needed an authorisation code from Visa in the country the card had been issued and nobody thought of letting me know before the delivery date. They claim they tried to contact me on my landline on the day i was moving house, but did not leave a message, did not send me an email or rang my mobile. So i followed their advice and shopped around. I found the same washing machine for less with Appliancesonline, paid with the same credit card with no problem and will be having a next day delivery. So surely Coopelectricals could have done the same. I rang them this morning only to find that Coop electrical had also charged my card for the appliance even though they had cancelled the order and did not tell me when i rang on the first place!!!!!!!!!!! They should have informed me that my delivery had been cancelled not my order, these are two different things. I will definitely be ringing trading standards and the FSA, surely there is something wrong when you make a purchase online, your card is charged and your order is cancelled (not by you) so you are left without goods and a bill to pay first because no one knows when your refund will come through.
I needed a new washer and the Co-Op price was not quite the cheapest price on the 'net but by the time delivery was factored in it balanced out, not to mention the fact that they didn't charge for a Saturday delivery. Ordering was quick and simple, the web layout was good. As promised the night before we got an email telling us which 90 minute slot our new washer would be coming.
Sure enough about 40 minutes into our allotted time two polite, courteous delivery men turned up, they unloaded our washer with care and took away all of the packaging.
I will certainly use the Co-Op again.
My fridge died, ordered one from the Co-op at a really good price. Don't usually go for home delivery as have had really bad experiences in the past but had no choice. Fridge was delivered at the time notified, delivery staff were helpful. Wont hesitate to use again & would highly recommend
Purchased a kettle from this site. Used it for a couple of weeks and the on button kept popping up. Contacted Coop-electrical and was told to have the faulty kettle ready for pick up, and a new one would be delivered at the same time. I was given a choice of delivery dates within one day of my phone call. Now thats what I call service. I have put this site in my favourites as I will use again. The prices were very reasonable too, so over all an A+++++++ seller.
Found them to be far cheaper than the likes of comet, currys, john lewis. Goods arrived within the 90 minute promised time slot. Item was damaged, offered 20% discount to keep it or replacement could be sent the following day. Delivery guys were friendly and helpful, they called in on their phone to report damaged item. Unwrapped it and took away all packaging without fuss. Shame about dent, but these things happen and they did make a generous offer or prompt replacement so that plus the excellent prices means it has to be 5 stars!
Ordered the Siemens SN26M891 14 Place Dishwasher. Received notification of delivery date before delivery. Was delivered early on the day. Delivery men carried the item upstairs. The product is excellent. The price was good with free delivery. Still waiting for confirmation of the 5 year warranty though....
Had a problem sourcing a Bosch slim depth washing machine. Looked on Coop site and the price was the second cheapest I had found. I phoned them to ask if it was in stock. Yes it was, came the reply. I told the guy I wanted one. This was at 11.45am Thursday 23 June. He replied, would you like delivery tomorrow or Saturday. I will have it tomorrow, said I. That night I received a text saying delivery between 10.20am to 11.50am. The guys arrived at 11.00am, they brought the washer in and removed all packing so I could inspect it before signing. They took the packaging with them. I had to force a tip on them. Everyone I dealt with was courteous and polite. I will definitely deal with them again.
Needed a new tumble dryer as the old one died suddenly (can't complain had 25 years use out of it). Had a look around the net and quickly decided on a good value make and model and searched the usual shopping sites (google, Bing, Kelkoo etc.)
Co-op were marginally cheapest for the model we wanted but also offered free, (and in our instance) next day delivery and also a small cashback via Quidco.
Delivery system included notification of a 2 hour delivery window by e-mail / sms so I didn't have to hang around the house all day. Delivery guys carried dryer through to garage and unpacked everything for me and took away the packing.
All in all, very easy ordering with prompt, painless and efficient delivery so I have no hesitation in recommending them as a quality online supplier.
Just bought a new washing machine after our old one died on Sunday morning. Ordered online Sunday afternoon and set delivery for tuesday afternoon. Very helpful text/SMS arrival confirmation too. Arrived when they said they would and installed and would have took our old one away, but didnt need to. Deliveryman made call to arrange rebate of the collection fee too! Very helpful all around. Well recommended.
