Having ordered successfully from this company on two previous occassions, the second time with several delays, I sent an order in October 2010 only to find that the company had ceased trading many months before. I am disgusted that paypal continued to accept payments from them. As I trusted that delays for delivery were genuine I did not contact Paypal until after their 45 day deadline and hence they refused to persue the mater. What is worse the company continued to update their website to persuade me that items were overdue by increasing number of weeks. What can I say. I've lost all my money but at least the website can no longer be found on a search. Alison, Dartford.
BUNCH OF CROOKS- PEOPLE BE AWARE BEFORE PURCHASING!!!!!!!...... I bought goods from them on 23rd Sept 10, to this date I am still waiting for the goods. When I bought the items, an email was sent by corvusweb stating they are waiting on an item which is out of stock... but when I bought it from their website, it showed that this was 'IN STOCK'. I still waited until last week when I sent an email, no one has bothered to respond to my email until I goolged reviews about this company and contacted PAYPAL. They are now investigating the matter. Folks!!!!.... I suggest you contact PAYPAL, your bank etc so they can stop rogue compny such as this.....you have 45 days in which to make a claim from PAYPAL, otherwise say goodbye to your cash.... so hurry!!! I will also be contacting TRADING STANDARDS soon.
I have used this website several times before and have always been delighted. However, my most recent purchase made in July hasn't yet turned up.
I've tried 'phoning them and got the message to say their line has been disconnected for non-payment. Is this a sign that they have gone out of business? I've also sent several e-mails to no reply.
They do advertise that they use a holding bank for transactions, which I have no reason to think is untrue. I've reported the transaction to Barclays (as I used my Visa debit card) who are pursuing it for me and I would advise others to do the same.
Same situation as everyone else spent 71.97 of 8 mugs (quite appropiate) on 21st July, no delivery or contact. I reported to HSBC who I bank with and because I bought via VISA debit I am protected against fraud and they are sending out a claim form to put the funds back in my account. Not sure if your bank does the same but it might be worth checking.
I ordered 4 mugs 6 weeks ago and have not yet had them. When i email them i get a standard auto reply email saying that someone will be in contact- nothing yet after 10 emails! When you try and phone them the phone has been disconnected due to non payment- ALARM BELLS!!! I have reported this company to both Consumer Direct and Trading Standards and hope that something is done very quickly before more people become victims of this fraudulent company. DO NOT USE!!!
Just as others, ordered goods for £77, card debited immediately, now 6 weeks later no goods, no response to email, phone disconnected for non payment of bills. Contacted Government comsumer site but apparently nothing they can do except advise trading standards. Tried to advise Google Shopping but all to difficult - so they just go on taking money by deception and nothing it seems, can be done!
I have ordered 4 items my card has been debited but nothing has arrived. Tried to contact via email and phone (which has been disconnected due to none payment). Beware as they also have a shop on ebay. I have tried to contact them via ebay with no success and am now considering reporting them to ebay as they advertise this website on their ebay site. Hope there has been a big confusion and they will contact me!!!
This company has debited my credit card with £60, the phone line has been disconnected, e-mails are not returned and I am now going to have to try to get the money back from my bank - what a nightmare!!
This company is a joke! They took my money, fobbed me off for weeks and I have had to reclaim my money back from the bank. I even drove to their "office" to find it was a dirty little council house! Scum bags and fraudsters.
Second time I have used this website. Such a wide range of great quality products and have had no problems with delivery. Had to make an amendment to one of my orders which was processed quickly and efficiently.
Goods not sent althought my card was debited very promptly! All emails ignored and every phone call promised a return call which never materialised. As no refund has been made I am organising for my bank to chargeback on my behalf. Avoid at all costs!
Placed an order three weeks ago, still have not had delivery although payment taken at time of placing order. Have tried to query delivery but only been able to get through on phone once and the promised call back with explanation has not happened. Have tried to contact by email (no response from Corvus) and phoned again several times, calls not being answered. Worst company I have ever used on internet, will never use again.
I ordered and paid for five bowls in May and to date (Nov 4) have received neither bowls or contact with Corvusweb. I have emailed them (ignored) and called them many times, but my calls are either not answered or I am assured someone will ring back, and they never do. Avoid!
I e-mailed corvus twice about a worktop saver that had shattered within the 1 year guarantee period.As I received no response I telephoned them,every day for over 1 week.On each occasion I was told that someone would call me back.No one ever did and each day I called them back I was fobbed off with the story that "Gary" who would deal with my complaint was not in his office.They refused to give me Garys surname to allow me to write to him and therefore all I was able to do was hope that eventually they would tire of me calling them every day ,and would get in touch.Would definitely not reccomend corvusweb to anyone as dealing with them is extremely stressful.
