[REPLY]
Since I posted my complaint (5th. February), I have again written to Cotton Traders and received no reply. All I HAVE received are e-mails cluttering my spam box, and two brochures, advertising more "quality"
items at knock-down prices. NO THANK YOU!!!
A reply to my letters of complaint, together with a refund for the item returned to you would seem to be reasonable. Apparently not in your world.
There is no way I would buy further goods from you, and would have no hesitation, if asked, to warn others about the non-existence of after-sales service.
Cotton Traders need to get the advertising in the papers correct.
If you want a pair of shoes, you are a size.
Not a one size fits all.
I take a 6E - and no matter have much I would like to be able to fit into a size 6, like the ugly sisters it's a no go.
Size 6 - is a size 6
Size 6E - is a 6E.
And then they have the check not to refund all the money you have paid them.
They need a swift kid up the backside - with yes you have guessed a size 6E.
I purchased some clothes which were the wrong size, returned and replaced very quickly.
A further purchase resulted in an error on my part, spoke to customer service who rectified the situation and refunded my account very quickly.
I will certainly use them again as I think they are 1st class.
Bought a coat from them. First wearing the pocket lining on one side fell apart. Second wearing the same on the other side. Took them three weeks to pick it up and a week later I am still waiting for a replacement.
Poor quality and even worse customer service. Try Premier Man instead.
After being disappointed with the quality of goods received on several occasions, I requested that my name be taken off their mailing list. The catalogues continued to come. I have sent 4 emails over a year and returned many catalogues saying I do not want any more, but they still arrive.
How can I stop this? It is such a waste of resources and my time.
What a hopeless way to run a business.
I have used Cotton Traders for several years and have never had a problem. I have found their goods to be of good quality and their prices reasonable.
I received my goods. I was not happy with them, and I paid return postage.
Cotton traders deducted their postage out of my money....before refunding.
This is day light robbery. Never, never, never again.

I ordered and paid for goods on 5 Jan 09 still not arrived. Customer service is just a recorded message and when I have spoken to a person they have either been embarassed or rude. Will vote with my purse and shop elsewhere
I ordered goods on 4th Jan. 30th Jan I rang customer services - order 'might' be delivered the following week. 5th Feb email saying all four items had been despatched. Today 9th Feb I get a letter three of the items 'are no longer available'. Still nothing delivered and they still have my money!!! Rang customer services and asked for Head office number, told 'they don't accept incoming calls!' I put the phone down and rang Trading Standards who told me the company were in breach of contract and helped me with a letter to Cotton Traders. I will never have anything to do with this awful company again.

I ordered a jacket on 29 December 2008 from Cotton Traders. I have emailed numerous times to ask when it will be delivered. It is now 4 February 2009 and it has still not been delivered. They say that they cannot cancel the order and refund me as the jacket is "awaiting despatch". It has been awaiting despatch since 29 December 08! This will be the last time I order any goods from Cotton Traders.
My Wife has been waiting since 4 January for her order to be completed. They have taken the money from her card.
The excuse given for the delay is that they are moving to a new warehouse (altough no hint of this is given at time of ordering).
They initially gave two dates for sending out orders but now all you get is that they will clear the back log within 7 days, this message has been running considerably longer than this.
You can't get through by phone, they don't publish an e-mail address and they don't bother answering their on-line enquiry form.
This is the third order in a row that has been delayed, it will be our last
Their goods are cheap and not quite shoddy. Delivery times are appalling but they claim (for two orders 2 years apart) "warehouse reconfiguraion" as an excuse. No surcharge for big sizes. Cheap and cheerful if you are fat but squat. If fat and tall, do not expect their shirts to be long enough. If you want clothes for a holiday next month, for God's sake don't order from them. If you have 6 months and don't mind the world knowing that you are a cheapskate (sorry - appreciate a bargain) with "Cotton Traders" embroidered over your lewft tit - go for it!!
