Brilliant company
After browsing many companies to build me a price conscious gaming PC, my brother thankfully came across Cougar-Extreme and pointed me in their direction. What they offered me was a custom built PC that was far cheaper then similar specced PC's from other websites. I don't know how they do it and sometimes it is hard to believe as things as good as this are usually too good to be true, but I went ahead and ordered after reading other reviews on trustpilot. The service over the telephone when I had queries, including wanting to upgrade parts part-way through the build, was excellent. Also another important aspect was the delivery company they used as too many delivery companies can't seem to be bothered to press the buzzer to my flat, however the company they used got it here great. I am very satisfied with the final product and have had no issues whatsoever, I am also confident if any issues were to come up Cougar-Extreme would deal with it in a professional manner. All in all the prices are what really stand out about this company and the service was great too, I would definitely point people here in the future if they wanted a quality PC built at the best possible prices.

The best website for what it is!
They guys are amazing they helped me with all my questions and the computer arrived a few days after order. The build could not be better also cougar sorted out the courier after they sent it to the wrong house. I would recommend cougar to everyone!!!

Excellent Service
Overjoyed with my new gaming computer, no homework done since set up!
Mum very pleased with delivery a day early and within the time scale sent by the courier. (Not so pleased with the lack of homework done! ) Mum has already recommended to colleagues and friends - she's hard to please so this is very high praise!

Quality build at an affordable price.
Recently bought a new gaming computer from cougar, they kept me up to date on what was happening and what they were doing also I am very impressed with the build of the final product, very well put together and also I can see a lot of care has gone into this.

Reliable and excellent value
If you know what you're doing with computers then I would always recommend Cougar Extreme because their customization is easy and so much cheaper than other brands. I have a friend who bought a £1200 Alienware pc and mine is almost as good as his and it cost £500. They kept me informed about delivery well and the package arrived fine. Highly recommend.

Perfection!
How can I elaborate on 'perfection'? Every aspect of the company is worthy of a 5 star, from the website, to the products, to the delivery... But what truly stands out is the superlative customer service at Cougar Extreme! I'm a Mac person and know absolutely nothing about PC (let alone gaming PCs!), but they were extremely helpful, avoiding that usual and nauseating attitude of superiority adopted by most 'computer people'. A true pleasure. Highly recommended!

Excellent in all regards
Their website allows you to configure your pc just the way you want it with an amazing range of components. Their prices make them very competitive. Their delivery and after sales service are second to none. A really impressive company n all regards.

Power to the elbow this computer
An excellent computer, works excellently, have yet to do any photo editinf (photoshop) but so far I am very pleased with this pc Picture quality is out of this world HIGHLY RECOMEND any one needing an excellet p-c this company gives you the goods.

Excellent service
My son bought this computer and he had chosen the components. I had a phone call from Cougar to say that the components he had chosen were not correct and would perform better with different components. As i know nothing about computers i trusted the experts to do what they saw fit. My son is extreamly pleased Thank you Cougar.

Exactly as it said on the "tin"...
New computer needed and couldn't find a system that had all I wanted (even the ridiculous priced ones had something missing). So, clear option was to spec it myself.
Several good websites out there but Cougar's was easily the best to navigate around and when it got to comparing prices, they were also the most competitive. Started to look like a "win-win" situation. And then It got even better - a couple of phone calls to query how particular components would work together was met with clear concise details, no "hard-sell" or upping the spec, just good honest informed opinion.
Computer was ordered, confirmation email received giving delivery date of following Monday; couple of days later another email was received saying machine would be delivered on the Friday before. Texts received from courier pinpointing delivery down to a 50 minute slot and, bingo - there it was. Even the embarrassing call to say i couldn't get a picture on my monitor got a polite reply saying I needed to connect to the graphics card - DOH!!
So, all in all, an absolutely fabulous service from Cougar Extreme and I would recommend them to anyone. Oh and almost as an aside, the computer is flippin amazing too!!

Outstanding customer service! Outstanding affordability!
I went to cougar after googling around and looking at reviews for several custom pc companies and found they had the machine I wanted at a price I wanted.
I was slightly skeptical about paying by card to a company that I didn't know anything about but I went ahead with it and they were great, I was told it would take 9 working days for my machine to arrive and on the 8th day they called me several times (me being unable to answer the phone during the day) and made sure that they checked with me about upgrading the case due to the enormous graphics card i'd requested.
This, of course, wasn't a problem and everyone I spoke to on the phone had already been briefed about my order and nothing needed explaining! I delayed the arrival of my machine by 1 day due to not answering the phone (they weren't going to send a machine I wasn't happy with!) but they kept their word and everything was as I wanted it.
Added bonuses were the fact all the packaging for the individual components was included in the delivery as requested, and all software installed correctly with a nice, clean install of Windows and nice neat system folders (not plagued with free trials for Norton and other unwanted software you tend to experience with PC World or equivalent computers).
Some slight changes that would've made the experience perfect:-
It would've been nice to get another confirmation email, or perhaps be updated with the progress with my order a little more as the first I heard after the payment confirmation/invoice was the phone call on day 8. So it was always playing on my mind that I didn't really know the company well enough to relax about spending that much money.
Perhaps a spell-check and grammar check on the website itself! It's petty but I definitely would've hesitated a lot less when choosing Cougar!
Overall a fantastic company, with brilliant customer service and great value! I would definitely recommend Cougar to anyone interested in a custom gaming pc, and I know that they'll be the first place I go to for any computer needs in the future!

Just So Pleased With The Service I Received. Thank You Cougar.
I started looking around different companies for a custom built computer for my Filming and Video exploits. I am a novice where computers are concerned, so, I was guided to Cougar by a Good friend (he still is, by the way) and, after deciding on my budget, (including Express Delivery) I have to say that my choice was the correct one. Without going into too much detail, the "box" has performed faultlessly. It is so quiet, you wouldn`t know that it was on and running. Everything worked from the moment I switched it on and loaded the O/S. I did have it supplied with 8 gb of ram which was soon upgraded to 16gb, (again, my choice as I had a bit of spare cash from selling and old box). I just could not believe the speed of the system, which has justified my decision to upgrade. I am now able to download and convert, all the file formats I use, edit the video and copy to disc at a fraction of the speed i was doing before. This has saved me valuable amounts of time and effort, leaving me more time to do what I love doing most, the filming.
I would recommend Cougar to anyone thinking of having a computer built to your own specifications.
I am toying with the idea of purchasing another computer in about 3-6 months time, only this one will be used for my business so, a completely different construction to the one I bought recently.
I have every confidence that Cougar will be able to advise me on the "package" I will need.

Just as good as they used to be!!
I ordered several components for an upgrade to this computer. The order was left short, and then the replacement parts were not the same and despite being told by their staff that the memory modules were the same and just looked different is possibly not correct as I have now had to drop the RAM speed from 1600 to 1333 to get the system to remain stable.
This company used to be one of my favourites and I only just started to use them again in recent months because of a pledge I got to match their competitors pricing sadly this don't seem to be happening and the support is just not the same as it used to be. Face to face they are still really good, but on-line ordering seems to make them somewhat lacking in their normal level of support

After posting the above, Mario called me from Cougar and offered a full exchange for the 32GB i purchased and replaced them with what was originally ordered... No quibbles, no argument . That's more like the treatment I had come to respect so much from Cougar,. In light of this I have updated my opinion and my rating has been reconsidered and replaced with what I would have liked to have put in the first instance.
Mario, if you are reading this, you have my thanks and respect for sorting this out promptly and efficiently, just like you do when I come in the shop, I miss our little talks and wish i could get more often ... Keep smiling and keep doing what you do best ... Serving and supporting your clients

Gave me what i asked for
Excellent service, easy to use website and i got good value. I wanted a new PC, didn't want to break the bank, but i knew what components i wanted, not only did i meet my budget but i was able to upgrade a few parts. It arrived when it said it would (9 days) and all i had to do was turn it on. Windows was running, everything up to date. Highly recommended.

Not impressed
Now this might just be me. But im not impressed with the state my computer in. I unboxed it, plugged it in, turned it on, and windows needs a key. I didnt get a key with my PC.I ordered a wireless card to be in the computer, I cannot access wireless. There is also apparently a problem with my sound card, and apparently my graphics card aswell. Although it was cheeper than expected and I have no doubt that they assembled it correctly, I am not impressed, I am ok with computers but I am not a Proffesional and to be honest they give no help booklets for if you are even slightly technophobic. I understand that drivers need installing and all that malarky, but how is that even possible when every two minutes the screen is screwing up and everything turns into a green and purple grid

Great service, and a great PC...
Overall, I'm really pleased I went to Cougar for my new gaming PC. First of all, the PC is awesome. It runs stuff really well, and I knew I was getting a high end PC but I still did not expect results this good! On all my games, even on newer ones like Skyrim, I've got them on max settings (even settings that I dont know what they do) and its smooth as anything. Plus buying a PC of this power from somewhere like PC World I reckon would have cost me at least double.
They were also really helpful. I phoned up to get advice on the specs I was after and spoke to Mario. He was really helpful, polite, patient, and really gave great recommendations. They also stated when it would be delivered, and it arrived by courier by 10:30am on the exact day they said it would. Overall great value, a great product, and most of great honest service. If you want a PC, look no further. Thanks Cougar!

Very reliable service and equipment
We've bought a number of computers from Cougar Extreme for our office and they've always been built to a high standard and work very well. The sales team have also been very helpful in spec'ing up exactly what we required without over selling unnecessary items.

Monster Program Muncher
This was the first time I had a custom made PC and the experience was awesome.
From the easy to navigate website the friendly advice over the phone no oversell just honest advice the whole thing was a joy.
The only snag was my impatience getting the machine but with the build as large as the one I had, I would expect no less a time to allow for proper testing and there was a bank holiday in the middle.
I would highly recommend Cougar Extreme to anyone wanting a custom made PC either for home, gaming or office.
Next time I will make the effort to go and collect the product myself and meet the guys they sound real professional and nice to boot

Two good experiences
You will rarely get the value for money that these guys provide.
My first purchase was a relatively high spec PC. It worked fine for 2 years until the power supply gave up. My local PC engineer said that the power supply in the unit was very light-weight and replaced it with a much chunkier one and no problems so far.
My second purchase was a ACER laptop which has been great!

Top of the PCs
This is the second PC system that I have had built by Cougar.
Easy site to navigate your way around. If you're not sure of your spec just give them a call and they are happy to help.
When I received my PC I had to put a clean Windows 7 install on and had a bit of a "blonde!" (no offence ^_^) moment when I couldn't remember exactly what to do, one quick call to Cougar and I was away, extremely helpful guys. I would have no hesitation in using them again.

Just as good as last time!
This is the second PC ordered from Cougar Extreme.
Both arrived ahead of the expected delivery date, I requested a phone call on the day prior to delivery to ensure someone was at home. Unfortunately they wont deliver to an alternative (work) address.
On the day of delivery I had an email giving me the name of the driver and an expected arrival time (to within an hour), which duly happened.
On both occasions I ordered machines without an OS but the image boots to Win7 - all I had to do was enter one of our MS Passport keys and off we went! Excellent

Very competitive on price which easily fell within my budget and I ended up with a higher specification machine than I originally thought. Buy with confidence.
Spent a lot of time checking websites, prices and reviews for most of the custom pc building outfits. Opted for Cougar Extreme mainly because of the price (significantly cheaper than the others - i7 2600K/ 16GB RAM/ 1TB HD for about £600!).
Not being a gamer I just needed a powerful desktop for music production and was not too worried about having the very latest kit. Which was just as well since although their online PC spec builder is easy to use, the component options are pretty limtted and the details vague (e.g. no hard drive speeds / not many Monitor options) - however the customer helpline was very helpful. There is also an annoying 3% extra surcharge for credit cards.
Anyway, the machine arrived last week (one day later than the estimated 9 days) and it works a treat / quality build / very, very happy with it.
All in all, unless you're overly particular about your parts, I'd recommend.

There can be only one....
...and that's Cougar, great PCs at a fair price, and knowledgeable, helpful staff. I had some questions about fitting a new graphics card recently, rang on a Saturday (that's right a Saturday!) and got straight through to someone who knew what he was talking about - sorted me out no problem. You always feel that yopu matter as a customer when dealing with them.

Competative and Complete Service
Recommended by a work colleague, this was one of a few sites a visited to look at a personalised computer build.
Choosing online was simple, and I liked the running total and spec along the side of the screen as you progressed.
I was contacted prior to shipment as my options clashed on the software I wanted, and after a quick chat my system was confirmed for delivery next day.
It's nice to get what I want, and not to conform to sales pitch tactics in-store for them to sell what they want.

They seem to think that they are doing you a favour
When something goes wrong you learn a lot about the business that you have chosen to contract with. In my case this Is where Cougar Extreme failed epically. Knowing what I now do about this company I should have been extremely firm with them from day one. Having spent nearly 2k with CE things were not 100% from the outset. The case was slightly damaged & the ps2 port did not work. However, I let these things slide as I was eager to enjoy my expensive new PC.
Now, the reason I am mentioning these points Is because I could have rightly demanded the situation rectified but I chose not to as It was not vital to the running of the machine.
I spent nearly 2k on both goods and services (they built the PC as well as supplying the parts). After some time It became apparent that the main hd was very faulty & this Is where the problems begin.
Cougar Extreme's lack of respectful service led to me having to call often, they did not return calls so I often had to call again only to be told a lame excuse.
Nearly 4 months later a replacement drive was apparently sent by mail (It should have been sent by courier under the circumstances !). It would also been decent for someone to call me when the drive was sent so that I knew exactly when to expect It. Nearly two weeks passed & no drive. Normally I would not wait so long but given the slackness of these lot I just assumed that It had not been sent. When I called CE again I was given a tracking no. for the Royal Mail site & It was confirmed that the postal service had lost the Item. CE were aware of this & were trying to recall the parcel. I still had no drive & lets be honest, I did not contract with the postal services CE did when they sent It. Basically, I the Innocent consumer were still without MY DRIVE !
Cougar Extreme did not want to send me another drive until they had received the one lost In the postal system. Just to be clear, CE knew that It was lost In the system, It had not been delivered or signed for so there was nothing dishonest on my behalf of which they were clear.
After more chasing on my behalf they agreed very reluctantly to send me my drive. I made sure to confirm my address details with them (just to mention the Initial system delivery was Incorrectly addressed, luckily the courier called me after the wrong address did not answer...2k system I paid for SCARY !. CE blamed the courier of course).
Anyway, as a final Insult & show of Incompetence CE called me for a change...they had "misplaced" the address details that I had provided two days previously. It took every ounce of my willpower to remain civil with the guy on the phone but I managed It just...I was Informed that they would not send the drive to my home address again, a problem for me as I work from home. This was In relation to my home address to which the Initial system was delivered & besides they know Its Royal Mail that have messed up. They were unreasonably adamant so eventually I decided to have the drive sent to my girlfriends work address which Is a secure Government building. Inconvenient for me but I had no choice. The last thing that CE told me offended, disgusted and also vexed me. I was told "that's It, If this one goes missing we won't send another one". This Is grossly unfair considering that I have done nothing wrong. I would have taken legal proceedings against them If needed but fortunately the drive arrived. What an abysmal saga.

I have checked our records and to my knowledge your drive was posted to you via royal mail recorded delivery on the date that you were told it had been processed. It was only a few weeks later when you contacted us to request the whereabouts of your parcel that we became aware that there was a problem. After investigating this we found that your parcel was missing in the post. As you have mentioned you were given a tracking number which stated that we had posted it when we promised.
Regarding the comment about not wishing to post to the same address again prior to receiving the missing item back, you were fine with this as considering you yourself had mentioned that sometimes the post in your area was not the most reliable, it was our request to have another address provided for delivery to ensure a successful second attempt. You insisted that your parcel be sent initially to your home address prior to us receiving the second item back, to which we stated that we would be willing to do so, but as you said if the second parcel went missing we would not post to this address again.
We are sorry that you feel you have been mistreated in this situation as that was not our intention. I personally found you a pleasure to deal with over the phone and hope that we can rectify your opinion of us in the future.

Cougar Extreme - Top Notch start to finish.
Having built systems for years and got bored of it, I hunted high and low for a decent company to build my next system, and found good reviews for Cougar elsewhere, so rang them to try out their customer service. I spoke to David whom I found extremely helpful and immediately placed an order. I wanted 3 year hardware support so I had to be sure they would be able to respond if things went wrong.
The website was easy to navigate and I spent around £2k putting a system together, when I raised a few queries after ordering they were very helpful and upgraded some of the components based on my requirements.
Alas the the courier company managed to break into small pieces, and Cougar very kindly started work immediately on a replacement system whilst waiting for the delivery claim to be processed.
I've found them *incredibly* pleasant to deal with, and I call people a lot to check up on things. Even sourcing different or higher spec components was no problem at all.
Having dealt with 100's of people in the computer industry over the course of my career I would struggle to find a more professional outfit. I'm only sorry that one day they may get too busy as people come across these reviews.

Great products,quality build and superb after-sales.
My order arrived within the time quoted and booted up first time. After I requested help with an issue after adding my original drives and cards they were on the phone to me the very next day. Unheard of in my experience. All resolved now and PC is running well - highly recommended. Great selection of configurations and upgrades - something to suit everyone.
