Approachable and efficient.
It's potentially more troublesome buying clothing on line - not being able to try it on before purchase and then having to send things back. And walking jackets aren't cheap. So I phoned Country House Outdoor for product info twice before I decided to purchase. The staff were really friendly and helpful. Once I'd made up my mind to place an order it was only a few days before it arrived and I love it!

Excelent delivery and customer service
I recently bought a Berghause walking jacket for my wife, which arrived within 2 days of order. Unfortunately we had ordered the wrong size so called customer services. They were very helpfull and gave details on how to exchange the jacket (free postage) which we did. The new jacket arrived within a few days of posting the original.

the ordering and postage ,plus your return policy are second to none,but by spending around £300 you would of expected a free gift. my wife even said might as well av gone to the local store, but cant complaine with ur service and would recommend ur site. thankyou .A Collinson.

Great service and product!
The details on the Country House website are very helpful. I easily found what I was looking for (the Joules Moredale quilted jacket, size 10) at a very competitive price and found the ordering process trouble free. Email communication was very good so that I knew the status of my order. My lovely jacket arrived the next day (I chose next day delivery) and fits perfectly. Very pleased all round.

Everything was perfect size and quality.
Having just ordered a Barbour jacket for my wife I went through the same process as with previous Barbour item. see comment bellow
After searching all the sites for a Barbour waxed jacket I eventually found this site, I even rang them directly regarding sizes and then ordered over the phone. The jacket came within two days from time it was ordered. A perfect fit.

Slow delivery (RM) great products
The trouble with using Royal Mail with an internet retail outfit is their inevitable inability to deliver product in a timely manner and the customer then has to schlepp off to some remote place open from 7.00 am till 7.45 am to pick it up (closed at the weekend). Having said that CHO seem to be taking over the RM Williams space (I am a fan).
So CHO - go withe Fedex DHL or a bloke on a bike.

good over the phone order service...
The only.palce in the UK which had the item I wanted.
Paid for next day at work delivery but didn't arrive before 3.30 when we all go home which is our fault not country house I guess.

I wasn't happy about paying £7.50 to return my item because it was in the sale despite it costing me over £60 for a Gillet plus postage originally. The item didn't fit as well as I thought it would.
It cost me nearly £10 to try on the Gillet so it's definitely put me off using or recommending this company in the future.

Very efficient service , good quality product
The only criticism I have is the use of the term "sale" when only £6 has been taken off an item cosing £119 , it is hardly a sale! A 14 day return on these items, just becasue they are called "sale" items seems very unreasonable and I think that a 30 day return should be applied.
I was surprised that the jacket I bought (which is lovely and good quality, very well made) was made in China - not the UK

Great clothing store if only the service matched in quality
I ordered something that was in stock, the site says it would be delivered next day !!!
However it turned up four days after having placed the order leaving me to apologize for a late mothers day gift.

Excellent service, speedy and convenient
Ordered a pair of Dubarry boots, they arrived the very next day, when found the fit wasn't quite right helpful advice was given over the telephone and on the instant chat on line service and they were swapped over with no problems at all - very easy to deal with, would definitely use again.

Barbourtastic!
The jacket fits me perfect, I really like the style of it and know I made the right choice with the Chelsea. I have seen the cheaper copies but you can tell when you have bought a quality item.
I bought it from countryhouseoutdoor.co.uk, they gave great service and the price was right.

A great online purchase experience, faultless from start to finish
Everything that they said would happen, did happen, delivered on time, and even though I retuned the product (it was too big) that was easy, with no dispute or hassle. I even got a courtesy email asking about getting a new size, which was a great touch.

Fantastic shopping experience, and lovely people
I ordered a pair of Le Chameau boots as a Christmas present for my wife in early December. She tried them on briefly on Christmas Day, thought they were great, but wanted to try them again as she suspected they might be a little small. Before she got the chance to do so, we were both involved in a serious road traffic accident on New Year's Eve. My wife broke bones in both her feet and was unable to try the boots on again before the expiry of the normal returns date. I contacted Country House Outdoor in late January to tell them what had happened, and they could not have been nicer. They were happy for us to hold onto the boots for as long as it took, and then return them if they were too small. My wife was finally able to try them on in March, and they were indeed too small. I contacted Country House Outdoor and they gave me a free returns label and I sent the boots back. Within a couple of days I had a call from them offering a full refund of the amount I had paid, and to be charged a slightly lower price for the replacement boots a size bigger. (Where is the catch, you ask? ... There was none.) The refund of the original payment was processed immediately and the new boots arrived a couple of days later. In all my dealings with them, on the phone and by e-mail, Sarah and Lydia could not have been more friendly or helpful.

let down
found stock online at Country House Outdoor, checked size was in & I ordered and paid for. ......then received a call next day informing me that incorrect stock and they didnt have it after all. I asked what else was available and what could be offered , but nothing satisfactory and no discount offered for inconvenience.
tried to order jacket from competitor (slightly higher price) but in between me placing the order and being told oos at Country House, the other one had gone leaving me high and dry.
then received a paypal refund for slightly less than I had paid !!

Good experience, delivery on time
I was very pleased with all aspects of the service your company supply. The jacket was part of my husbands 65th birthday present, ordered at the last minute so was really delighted that I was able to do a next day delivery.

Completely switched on and gave advice on how to save money. Very clear instructions on how to download returns label.
Nothing was too much trouble. Clear concise relaxed dialogue on the phone. Really prompt return and reorder and advice by email every step of the way. They made ordering goods a really pleasant experience.
